Evil Dead MC #7

Undertaker

Rate this book
When Undertaker saved an innocent young girl from the clutches of a rival MC, he never expected she’d form an attachment to him, refusing to leave the safety of his clubhouse. But the President of the Evil Dead MC has a club to run. What he doesn’t have is the time or the experience to help Holly get past the traumatic experience she’s been through. Counseling is what she needs, and he’ll see she gets it.

The last thing Undertaker expects to see when that therapist walks through his clubhouse doors is a face from his past. They’d met years ago when he’d been ordered into counseling as part of his parole. Eleven years locked in a cell does things to a man, but back then Undertaker hadn’t had time to deal with all his demons. He had a motorcycle club he needed to get back to, and an untimely death in the ranks had him stepping up to fill the spot of President and fulfill his destiny—one that didn’t include the fresh-out-of-college psychology intern who’d been put in charge of his case. She’d known nothing of his problems. How could she? Besides, he’d scared her to death.

Now, a dozen years later, fate was coming around again, throwing them back together. But Allison Carter wasn’t that naïve girl anymore; she was all woman now.
And the President of the Evil Dead’s New Orleans Chapter was about to make her his.
Only problem was he had to let one sweet girl down easy before he could pursue her hot-as-sin therapist. It won’t be so simple when trouble from his past threatens everything.

When an ex-con biker sets his sights on you, do you run?
No?
Not even when he comes with more trouble than you can handle?

Evil Dead MC ~ First, last, and always.

Nicole James, the queen of MC romance, has clearly done it again. My go-to author, and my Prez, whose books are on a level of their own, has outdone herself with Undertaker, President of the New Orleans chapter of the Evil Dead MC.

For me, reading Undertaker felt like a right of passage—an honor, so to speak, where the foundation was poured for everything else Evil Dead-like.

Undertaker is an old-school, badass, they-don’t-make ‘em-like-that-anymore biker. After spending a decade in prison, he needs to get back to his club. A lot has changed in ten years, and how he deals with it all is a testament to Undertaker’s natural and unfaltering leadership.

Nicole does a great job weaving the circumstances and events from Undertaker’s past into the consequences of the present. He is bold, relentless, passionate, stubborn, and downright scary when someone hurts the ones he loves.

Those of you who read Blood and remember Holly, Cat’s sister, know that Undertaker has a warm heart and is capable of compassion (to a degree!) just by the way he chose to handle her ordeal. That compassion led to finding help for Holly, which, in turn, led a fiery redhead right to Undertaker’s door.

When Allie (AJ) enters Undertaker’s world and his past comes colliding head-on into his club, I’m, again, amazed with the ease and certainty of how he deals with her presence. Allie rocks his world and vice-versa. She’s smart and sassy, but knows her place and trusts Undertaker with her life. Also ... Undertaker is a rock star in bed. I mean ... like smokin’ hot ... He is dominant, demanding, and possessive. Allie is The One: a queen for the king.

Undertaker is certain of everything. Maybe all the time spent in jail, living in hell, or possibly that he’s a seasoned biker with miles of highway and years behind him, have given him the knowledge that life is what it is—that he is who he is—and he makes no excuses for the life he leads. His brothers, also, have the utmost respect and loyalty towards him. Of course, there was some world-famous bantering going on, especially with Sandman and Blood around. As with every one of Nicole’s books, there’s no greater bond than that of the brothers of the Evil Dead MC.

Such as the passion of any elite author, Nicole brings her characters to life with boundless enthusiasm, which has their personalities, flaws and all, popping off the pages. By the time the reader has finished any one of her books, they are begging for the next: They simply can never get enough.

Fans of the Evil Dead MC are so deeply invested in this series that most have laid claim to one, if not all, of their favorite badass alphas, whether it be Cole, Crash, Shades, Wolf, Ghost, Red Dog, Blood—and now Undertaker. Even the brilliantly written supporting cast, who may or may not get their own story, leaves an impact in every book, including this one as well.

Undertaker might be my new favorite biker. The storyline was captivating; the painstaking attention to detail (even as far as the fields of Angola’s prison) gave a clear vision to my mind’s eye, along with characters whom I have grown to adore, all helped to make this a five-star read for me. Highly recommended!!

First let me say the Evil Dead series is one of my top favorite series and I really like all of the characters the author has shared since the series began. In this story, Undertaker, the president of the club is leading a solitary life since he got out of prison 15 years ago. Circumstances bring a counselor to his club to help a young girl under his protection. The counselor is someone Undertaker went to upon his release from prison all those years ago and he never forgot her. Undertaker (Derek) and AJ (Allison) make a perfect couple. They help each other get over their past tragedies and move on in life. There's no question their love is mutual and deep. I love all of these characters and this is one series I can actually remember the characters from previous books and the story line without having to do a re-read. I really hate for this series to end. I've re-read the first books in this series a couple of time and they're always a go to when I'm in a reading slump.
I highly recommend this one for a good love story. You'll love all of these characters.

This series is one of my favorites and I do not know how I have not seen this book before.
My bad!
And it's available on Kindle Unlimited! #happydance
I loved the reading and as always the author did not let me down.
I recommend!

“I wish I could be… everything you wanted when you dreamed of that perfect life. But I can’t. All I can be is me, the man standing in front of you. I may not be the kind of man you thought you wanted, but babe, I promise, I’ll be the kind of man you need.”

Enjoyable read.

Absolutely loved reading about characters in their 30's/40's.

The story was just a little flat for me. No grit. We get to see the H fall for the h and understand his journey from interest to love. I didn't feel that we took that same ride with the h. She went from closed & wary to willing in a heartbeat. While not quite the dreaded insta-love, I still felt like we missed a step somewhere for a character, that is supposed to be incredibly closed off, to be so suddenly open to her attraction.

The MC's role was also very downplayed. The H is the President of the MC and yet none of the day to day MC business or need for his attention seemed to impact their time together. For that matter, the fact that the H was a freaking President of an MC didn't even seem play into the h's decision about getting involved with him at all. While I realize the 'career woman meets biker' is commonly used in the genre and the author didn't want to be redundant, it's impossible to ignore the unavoidable culture clash.

So low grit factor, low steam factor for me due to above mentioned unbelievable relationship progression... but otherwise likable read. As a fan of the series, I would have enjoyed more interaction & banter with the other MC members. That was almost completely missing in this installment.

I love this author.
And this series.
Sadly for me this time this one was just okay. Solid read. But nothing great.
Maybe I should point out that this is story with mature characters. I love that.
And it is second chance romance set in MC world.
Action, bikers, steam everything is very moderate.

OMG!!! I really loved this book, no scratch that... I love this series!!
This was book #8 of the Evil Dead MC and they have all been fantastic!!
AJ and Undertaker had met before when she was just out of college and working with people just out of prison. She was still a little wet behind the ears and he took advantage of it. She hated him.
Undertaker brought a young girl who he had saved and needed a therapist to see her not knowing it was her for help.
They say opposites attract. They are definitely the definition of opposites. She is a therapist and he is the president of the MC.
He has someone who is after pay back and willing to do anything to get it. How far will he go and can they survive through all this?
Read to find out.
For adults due to sexual content and vulgar language. If this offends you don't buy.

Read this book!

I’ve been waiting for Undertaker’s book and it did NOT disappoint. I loved him after meeting him in previous books and getting to know him even more in this book sealed the deal. AJ was a perfect match for him, too. I love that as forceful and alpha as Nicole’s heroes may be, her heroines are also strong - strong enough to meet their men head on when need be and to not be run over or controlled. AJ & Undertaker had a fantastic balance that made their relationship just *work*.

Excellent

Excellent addition to the Evil Dead series. In this book we get to know Undertaker, the President of the NOLA Evil Dead chapter and Dr. AJ Carter. They are both great characters but definitely opposites yet their chemistry is fantastic. This is a well done story and definitely a book I recommend.

I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, it was hit and miss. I liked certain parts a lot and others frustrated me because it was to far out in regards to plausibility. I have really liked Undertaker but for some reason I didn't as much in his own actual story and I never really connected with AJ.

I'm hoping Joker and Holly are better. Still love this author.

Undertaker!! Ok so the only thing I wish I’d gotten to see was a Skylar and Allison hitting it off! I was actually really surprised I didn’t get a heart to heart since Skylar is Undertaker’s daughter but I loved this book anyways. It was sweet, sexy with the danger of being in an MC and the bravery of the woman they choose!

I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I really enjoyed reading "Undertaker". To be honest, I DNF'd the first book in this series and haven't pick up another book from Evil Dead MC eversince. However, the blurb made me interested and seeing how it's on KU, I thought why not?

I like both the main characters, Undertaker (Derek) and AJ (Allison), I like how they are both mature adults and both have pretty sad back story. Undertaker is the President of his MC. He's one tough dude but he's full of compassion especially towards battered women and children. He can be really ruthless which Nicole James showed us time and time again. AJ is one smart and tough cookie, both of them had a history which made their backstoy quite interesting.

I enjoyed this book eventhough I didn't read the previous books. I might be interested in picking up the next book which will be about Joker and Holly.

I love this series so much and was wondering what would happen with Undertaker and young Holly who clung to him like a spider monkey and had grown so attached that I knew heartbreak would come. Hero worship and attractive women from the past haunt the president of the Evil Dead MC as well as some faces who want to do him (and his loved ones) harm.
It was a book full of different layers, emotions, crazy plot twists and in the end I think everything worked out for the best. I can't wait for Joker's book now...OMG it's going to be good!

Love these Evil Dead guys!

Nicole James has written another great story filled with the perfect mix of drama and steam. Undertaker is so much more than a MC President. He's a man looking to get a second chance at love and AJ Carter is just the woman for that job. She's also hurting and holding on to a past she wishes she could change. I finished it as fast as my children allowed. Thank you for these wonderful books Nicole!!

Not for me I’m afraid. Would be nice if Undertaker could stick to one nickname for the Heroine, I’m finding all the babes, honeys, sweethearts and darlings icky, especially when he callls Holly babe or darling too, nothing special in those names at all. I skimmed a lot after 54%, missing the MC..nesss in this one, like club brothers, church etc. Guess I’m spoiled by authors like Lauren Gilley, Susan Fanetti and CD Breadner.

Undertaker ❤️❤️

I have been waiting and waiting for this book. So happy it did t disappoint. Undertaker and AJ are proof that opposites attract and history doesn't have to repeat itself.
You don't need to read the others in the series, but they are so good, you should.
Now, how long until Joker?

The feels

Sweet nibblits this series just gets better and better.
Nicole james has really knocked tjis one out the ball park and thats saying something because this MC series is really one of the best ive read and ive read alot of them. Love ,loss and freedom are front and centre in this story about Derek "undertaker " Deschiene and Allison "AJ" Carter.
After doing a stint in prison Undertaker not only lost his freedom but his woman and daughter. Forced to see a pshycologist and parole officer Undertaker did what he had to so he could go find his woman and child.
AJ was only twenty one years old when she met undertaker first appearences didnt go to well but over time undertaker soon had AJ eating out the palm of his hand. He dis what he had to and said all the right things so AJ would release him from his parole early. Fifteen years later AJ has her own practice a heart of gold but a steal rod and fierce determination to never let anyone take advantage of her again. Having not only suffered the repercussions of undertakers betrayal but losing her husband to a murder and miscarriage of her child. In her spare time she helps domestic violent victims get back on their feet and opens a safe house for them and their children. Undertaker is now the president of the evil dead mc and the weight of the world on his shoulders he takes holly cats sister to see a psychologist in hopes of getting her the help she needs after a devastating ordeal that left her attached to undertaker as he was the one that saved her not realizing who AJ is at the time sparks fly between them when realisation of who each other are sets off a series of events that they both have no control over . Once misunderstandings and truths are revealed AJ and undertaker start a friendship that ends with them both excepting each other for who they are regardless of the fact they are both two different people drom two different worlds once love rears its head it's game on and undertaker is determined to win . Yet evil forces beyond their control try to take what has been built between them undertakers past rears ita ugly head shattering everything thay Aj as worked so hard for. But like all great romances the food always wins and the bad get electricuted with a hair dryer. I so totally and utterly loved undertaker and AJs story and the comic relief between Blood,Mooch, and the boys of evil dead had me in fits of laughter. It really was a great story and one wich ill definitely read again and again.

This was a fantastic read starring the MC Prez - Undertaker. A long time ago Undertaker went to prison, when he was released and was ordered to take some Anger Management, etc classes. He did, sort of, and the newbie psychiatrist-in-training, Dr. Allison Carter, was fooled by him into signing off on his sessions, only he didn't complete them. She was found out and it didn't go well professionally. She always held Derek -> The Undertaker accountable.

Fast forward many years and Dr. Carter is needed and called to the clubhouse of the Evil Dead; she comes in to treat the sister of a member who has been traumatized by a recent kidnapping. Undertaker feels he recognizes her - when a moment presents itself, he talks to her, she remembers him, but also holds him responsible for his actions and the resulting downfall in her career (at that time). She is now a highly acclaimed doctor. He gets his chance, and she, without meaning to, helps him deal with his guilt of what put him in prison, the resulting loss of the mother of his child (which was the factor for his request of her years ago) and his loss at the connection he should have had with Skylar (his daughter) and the guilt he felt because she ended up being raised in the system. Dr. AJ Carter has had her own demons to slay. She is getting her life back in order after a tragic event, which happened four years ago. Undertaken will help her and get a little revenge for her also.

This is really a good love story between two consenting adults, and getting over the guilt of a lifetime ago.

❤️🌼🔥SEXY UNDERTAKER GETS A SECOND CHANCE❤️🌼🔥
Once again, I think this is my favorite book of the EDMC Series...I have loved Undertaker since SHADES...and I really started falling for him in hard in BLOOD, watching how he was so gentle and sweet with Cat’s sister, Holly ...just so sexy....❤️🌼🔥
He just became sexier in UNDERTAKER... with Holly being half his age, and with a HUGE crush on him, he could have told him to get away from him and/or taken advantage of the situation...He did neither...❤️🌼🔥
When Cat forces her to start counseling, she wants Undertaker to take her, and, again, he could have refused, but, again, he doesn’t, and he was repaid for his good deeds by being placed in the office of and given a second chance with a “blast from his past, the beautiful A.J./Allison....❤️🌼🔥
Obviously, a psychologist has no future with the big, bada$$ President of the EVIL DEAD MC...right??? These two are HOT, and surprise, surprise, this prez is always in control....except when he isn’t ❤️🌼🔥
I REALLY LOVED THIS BOOK.....Bonus!!! As I was coming to terms with the fact that UNDERTAKER was going to be the last book in the Nicole James’ EVIL DEAD MC Series....SURPRISE!!! There is another one, JOKER, coming soon!!!! Thank you, Nicole James...I wasn’t ready to kick this addiction!!! ❤️🌼🔥
