➳Gotta give Alexa Riley some credit because this book is kinky af, and I know that I will never be able to go back to my vanilla romances ever again...
➳A lot can be said about a menage romance that has you drooling, panting, and sweating for more since AR knows how to make you crave for more of their romances. To me, AR has always been a to go author(s) that I will never turn down. For others, they are a couple-d author that may be way too much. When you start reading this filthy, dirty talking, possessive alpha-males romance, there is no turning back for sure. Especially when you have two men, football players, who are the complete opposite but have each other's backs in every single way, but still want to share the love of one girl.
➳The insta-love aspect that AR brings to the romance world is present for sure. It's one that I found it interesting to read but at the same time not around my environment of loving AR insta-love. I highly recommend this romance for those who don't mind sharing but also love possessive alpha-males in a romance. Thank you to AR for providing an ARC of this puppy, I am excited to read more of Alexa Riley in the future...

Alexa Riley tackled the menage again and it turned out to be a sweet, steamy read.
HERO~ In this case, heroes. Dean and Wes were good heroes. More like brothers than friends. They've had an unbreakable bond since they were kids. They were protective and OTT. Homebodies who preferred working out and watching Netflix to parties and clubbing. It was a refreshing change for a sports story.
HEROINE~ Amelia was quiet and sheltered. I liked that she was open and honest with her dad. I did think she showed immaturity with certain choices that led to grief for the trio, but over all I thought she was likable.
SEXUAL HISTORY~ Wes and Dean - I had hoped that Amelia would have been the first woman that the guys had been with together, but unfortunately she wasn't. While it had been since they were in college, they had shared women in the past, but it had been a while ago- so long that there was speculation that they might have been gay. Amelia was a virgin
OM DRAMA ~ Amelia went on a date after she met the guys (I wanted them to go all alpha males and stop that before it happened though) and he was a total douche bag. She was not interested in him in any way.
OW DRAMA~ none
STEAM the second half was steamy
VIOLENCE none of a sexual nature
SECONDARY CHARACTERS I liked her dad. I also liked the sisters.
ENDING~ great epilogue a few months, then 7 years later

2.5 LESS THAN EXPECTED STARS
I’m going to be honest and say this book was a little disappointing for me.
The whole story seemed fragmented with information thrown in here and there.
The story itself wasn’t bad. However, with the two heroes/players who have been trying this « tag teaming » /sharing girls in their young, I was left with a bad taste in my month...

Also, the whole heroine who is a virgin while the men are busy having an active sex life....
Please I’m so over that...
Now because I like my AR I will say it’s worth a read but really not worth keeping.
The sex Scenes are not that good (when compared to their other books) and or believable.
Nonetheless, I don’t think it will effect their sales or their reputation to write a mediocre book like this.
Just I wanted something more from this one.

Why oh why do authors think it is okay to glamorize unsafe sex?
The guys insist on not using condoms, even though she is not on the pill and she doesn't know their sexual history. That is seriously not okay! Bad idea!

"Double the Ache" is the story of Wes and Dean with Amelia.
Our AR smutfest has one of the sweetest explanation of polyamorous relationships Ive read in romances- I loved the connection between Wes and Dean and their combined bromance, mixed with lust for Amelia, made it hella dirty treat.
I loved their slow pursual, the sweet stalking, and the dirty, dirty lovemaking.

Mini Review: GAHH! Look at that perfect cover. I still couldn't believe this is AR's writing. What's wrong with their menage? A few first chapters were really promising until the drama hit them. These books are review-proof, so yeah. I wasn't a fan of the way the heroine's mother is portrayed, there's little buildup, the caveman possessive thing was alright, there's barely any personality for any of the players. But there's a Riley formula and I do think this conforms to it. It's like cotton candy - it's sweet and sticky, and afterwards I'm mildly nauseous, but I reach for the next one anyway, so there you go.

So..I waited a few days before I decided if I really wanted to do this review or was it even worth my time tbh.. I kept telling myself
Whether it was mmf or mfm I didn’t care and would have loved to read it, just as long as I was able to grasp their sexual dynamic.
Was it safe? Nope. Sorry can’t claim this one as safe.
Was it the ménage I was expecting from AR? Definitely not.
Am I disappointed that they touched on the fact the alphas May be bi but then back away from addressing it? ABSOLUTELY

I’ve read AR before and their last two releases I definitely enjoyed! So when I saw it’s a ménage It got my attention, because well it’s them. Writing ménage. And well this one fell short for me

Alexa Riley disappoints me more and more, I already accepted : They doesn't know how to write stories with two men, they do n't seem to be very interested in heroine and I always think that any woman would suffice for them, in this book it is clear.

Amelia is moving to start her new position as the physical therapist for her dad's NFL team. She looks forward to the change in her life, but had no idea how much of one it would be.
Wes and Dean know immediately that Amelia is the one for them, the woman they're meant to share their lives with. Now they have to convince her.
What happens when two determined men find their soul mate in one woman? What will Amelia's dad think? Is a HEA possible?
On a purely personal note, I adore this duo and devour their books, and this was no different. But, and this is just a preference on my part, while I love so much that Wes and Dean have apparently been celibate for a while as they waited for their one, I really wish Amelia had been the first and only woman they'd shared. If they've had that type of experience before, even if only a limited number of times, it lessens how special it is doing so with Amelia. She's not unique, it's not something they all experience for the first time together and only with each other. Also, Amelia's effort to make the guys jealous was quite childish and shows a lack of maturity for someone supposed to be a professional. It's still quite an enjoyable story, as always, and my preferences in no way lessen my addiction to these ladies. I eagerly await the next release.

I loved the guys, Dean and Wes! They were really hilarious, especially when it came to their obsession with Amelia.
There was instant chemistry between the guys and Amelia. I couldn’t wait to see what was going to progress between the three of them.
While this wasn’t my favorite Alexa Riley story, I still enjoyed it!

First....DELICIOUSLY FILTHY. Like thigh clenching, flushed cheeks filthy. If there was some kind of story that went along with this filthiness, I missed it because I must have blacked out and only zoned in on the sexy times.
With Double the Ache we get double the alpha protective male and double heat. Dean and Wes had me hooked from the moment they met Amelia on the plane.
Second, this skyrocketed to the top of my favorite AR books and I shamelessly admit that it's because of the hot sex. Like I said, there was probably a story in there somewhere that was really good because all AR books are but my brain and body only remember certain parts.
Get Double the Ache now! Whew, it will be worth it.

I normally love everything that Alexa Riley writes and I would have LOVED this one also, and I am aware that the ARC I got is still in edits. BUT it was missing a story to me. It started off good, but I needed a little more. It read as of I only had every other chapter. I felt lost, and it didn't make for a smooth read. Example, when they are talking about the " extended contact" and how she will be mad ...yet there wasn't anything to be mad at and why sign and extended contract for just what they told her. Over all not my favorite AR book, I think if some more time and work it could be a great read. I love the premise , it just failed to deliver.

More like Double the "D"!! Alexa Riley is changing it up on us by throwing a ménage our way and man was it H-O-T, HOT!!!
Amelia, hard work and studying has finally paid off and she has landed a job with the team that her dad owns. Beyond excited not only about the job but to finally meet the two men that she has had a crush on forever.
Wes and Dean are inseparable. They do everything together, especially women! They have their sites set on Amelia and nothing will stop them from getting her!!
This was Double the Fun, Double the "D", Double the Hotness and Definitely Double the Dirty!!! I can't get enough of AR's books!! Just keep them cumming!!! Lol!
