wendy trevino is a writer to whom real commitment, conviction and intelligence give the need to find (and the courage to say) what needs to be said, and the ability to say it with utter clarity and elegance, come what may - read her work, it's necessary

I came to know Wendy Trevino poetry last year when I read an article about her book "Brazilian is not a race", such an amazing one.

As for "narrative", there are some pretty interesting poems, like "what sucks the most about loss", "Letter to myself at 15" and "Summer 16". Yet, others felt like a versified memoir, though they translate well the title of this small book.
