When physical therapist Beth Shelton is kidnapped by a wounded man who mistakes her for a doctor, she finds herself in the middle of Godfather Four.
*********
Physical therapist Bethany Shelton is supposed to be dead. That was the plan with Matteo Visconti kidnapped her by mistake, thinking that she was a doctor. He survived the infection after she took the bullet from him, but he left it to his mob boss father and assassin brother to finish her.
Except they didn’t. After a long, futile search for the man who shot him, Matteo learns that Beth survived and he’s a father.
Beth will do anything to stay alive and raise her son. Matteo doesn’t hesitate to drag her down into his world. He’ll make her want to stay despite the danger, despite the pain. But when you marry into the mob, you don’t just get a crime family, you get their enemies, too.

Physical therapist, Beth, is in the wrong place at the wrong time. She deliberately places herself in harm’s way and comes under the scrutiny of a well-known mafia family.
Issues? There was no real sense of danger on Beth’s part. She never tried to run away even though she had the distinct advantage of strength while her captor lay unconscious for fourteen hours.
Beth had plenty of chances to exit the situation but didn’t want to and the moment Matteo verbalized his interest in her, she was ready to hop into his lap. To give him pity sex because he might be dying. A complete stranger! She went so far as to brew coffee for his family and offer to make breakfast when she should’ve been out the door and fleeing for her life! It never crossed her mind that she’d been kidnapped and it would be a good time to leave ASAP, especially once she found out about Matteo’s organized crime connection.
Other issues? The erotic scenes were very dry! As in shriveled up, dehydrated, and not erotic at all:
There was zero chemistry between the main characters and by the end of the story I questioned whether or not Matteo had a developmental disorder. He was very obsessed with anal sex odd. Also, Beth never behaved like a woman held against her will and nothing shocked her. Her compliance and courteousness levels were extremely high for someone who was kidnapped, bound, and stripped of all clothing by a strange man.
▷Despite the length of this book these characters remained one-dimensional and flat. Matteo never thought of his own personal shortcomings or ways in which he was imperfect, but he made sure to dwell on what he thought were Beth’s flaws.
▷Overall, this was not a satisfying read but I didn’t hate the story. It just wasn’t for me.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
She saves his life and sleeps with him then he throws her to his father to get rid of her meaning kills her. She finds out she's pregnant meanwhile he's whipping and fucking a prostitute.
This book has characters that you will fall in love with, not to mention want more of. I have to be honest, I don't usually read any mafia books, I avoid them because I've never really gotten into any I've tried reading. But Nia absolutely rocked this and has me wanting the next book. She's got the perfect mix of good and bad, love and hate, sex and fights, which balanced it perfectly. I would highly recommend this read to all my friends!
Physical Therapist Beth is taken hostage by Matteo, the son of a mob boss. Matteo is the ultimate alpha male, and he plans to have her help him remove the bullet, stitch the wound closed, and then be done with her. But there is a connection between the two of them that they can't ignore. But when his father Giovanni enters the picture, everything changes. He takes charge and before too long, Matteo is back on his quest to avenge his family, knowing his father got rid of Beth for her own safety. You don't become a mob boss without some tricks up your sleeve and when Matteo is summoned home, he's hit with a huge surprise. Stitch is a one-sit read, with excellent writing and editing that readers have come to expect of author Nia Farrell. While the first in the series, it is made to be read as a standalone. Fans that enjoy reading about alpha males and the mafia will love reading Stitch.
The wonderful heroine of this story set it apart from most “secret baby”/mafia romances for me. Beth is sincere, warm and giving, despite all that the “hero” and his family do to her. Her fear and understanding of the terrible position she’s in felt very real and I appreciated the maturity of her decisions throughout. She’s never an air-head, and I really appreciated her level-headedness in what sometimes feels like a field of “heroines” who make incredibly stupid decisions. I had a hard time warming to Matteo. He didn’t even feel like an anti-hero. He was just an a**. His father, while just as ruthless, was more likeable. The story stayed true to Matteo’s character – he doesn’t go soft at the end, even as he finds a way to be a husband and father – but that didn’t make me like him. The story is also very well written with few errors and I will definitely read more by this author.
Bethany Shelton is a physical therapist that is at the wrong place at the wrong time. Overhearing the sales clerk refer to her as “Doc”, mobster Matteo Visconti kidnaps and threatens Beth to “doctor” his gunshot wound, and in return, he would most likely not kill her. During a feverish recovery, Beth and Matteo have a night of passion that has a consequence of making Beth a permanent fixture in the Visconti family…or for however long they wish to keep her alive. Stitch was well written, and an enjoyable naughty story with enough kink to satisfy those with a fetish for the tie me up and spank me hard. The story-line moves swiftly and sometimes this reader got a little confused with Matteo’s Jekyll & Hyde personality towards Beth, but he is the heir to a crime lord’s throne, so it is to be expected. Stitch is a tale of a good girl falling for a bad guy and there is a price to be paid by all. This is a standalone story with no cliffhanger, and has somewhat of a happily ever after ending, or at least as HEA a murdering drug dealer can have.
I would recommend this to lovers of Mafia/BDSM stories. While the “Godfather” genre is not my usual read, I enjoyed the author’s writing and will most likely check out her other stories.
This is one of the least romantics books ever. He treats her like a whore frankly, she allows it. There's absolutely no emotion between them and therefore I have no emotions attached to them
It was a bit of a fuck fest, it was cold calculated fucking. Nothing erotic about it all all
Storyline was predictable and meh. Rushed and skated over some issues, her Shelton family- where were they to protect her? She's was so placid n agreeable basically a doormat! I just kept thinking he's not gonna be faithful after a few years, no chance. Didn't like matteo at all but then I didn't like Beth either. Horrid mcs
I was hooked from the first page. I’ve read other books by Nia Farrell and this one is a bit different. It’s still Alpha and domination, but the base story - mob family - is new. I liked the characters, even if I sometimes wanted to yell at both Beth and Matteo to grow up and don’t let the family dictate what they should do. The same goes for Dom Visconti - who do he think he is, telling everyone how they should act. Fortunately I don’t belong to such a family. I’m looking forward to next book in this serie.
Great read if you like your mafia stories! Beth was minding her own business in a grocery store when a man comes up to her with a gun thinking she is a doctor, later finding herself alone with the man Matteo she has to deal with a gun shot wound. Lying in a bed with a wounded shoulder and fever doesn't stop Matteo from wanting a piece of Beth. But Matteo is on a mission and he wants more than the sexy woman in front of him, he wants revenge and nothing will stop him.
Oh my! This book is freaking intense, a page turner from the first page to the last. Beth and Matteo are fabulous characters. We get an inside look at the Visconti family introduced in the Avenging Angels MC books and it is a sometimes scary place to be. The writing is second to none, the plot is fantastic and all the characters pull you into the story. Fabulous job Nia Farrell.
I totally, absolutely loved this book. I mean there are still a couple of unanswered questions...like where the heck Nan was in all of this. Or what happened with Chiara. But outside of that...man oh man it was great! Now about this ending. What the absolute fudging fudge buckets was that! Don’t leave me hanging like that. I need more!!
Nia Farrell hit this out of the park!!! Stitch was deliciously hot steamy Erotic and fast paced. Once I started reading I could not put it down. Let your fingers go 1-clicking and get this book. You will be panting for more!!!
Stich was interesting from start to finish. Matteo is all Alpha male and quite the sadist. He kidnaps Beth, sealing her fate but you definitely want to know what happens!! I recommend this book and I look forward to the next book in this series. Enjoy!!
Absolutely loved this book and the story. Great story plot and I really got into the characters plots and felt like I was right there watching from inside the story. Great book.
Wow!! An amazing Erotica Mafia Romance. Physical Therapist Beth has been kidnapped by a wounded Matteo. After she heals him he leaves her to his father and brother to deal with her. Little does he know that they have other plans. I definitely recommend this book and author.
I am not a big fan of mob stories but this one won me over. Matteo is in a convenience store when he hears the clerk calling Beth, Doc, so he takes her with him, kidnapping her to take a bullet out of his shoulder. Beth isn't really a doctor but she must do her best or die. Matteo gets an infection and it's bad so he needs more help than Beth can provide. While Matteo is lucid, Beth explains that he needs more help than she is capable of giving him, so he gets his cell phone and calls his father, the Dom. This involves Beth with the Mob and they will take her life rather than take a chance that she might talk. The time Beth spent with Matteo left Beth with a permanent reminder of the Mob connection she had with him but her life is still at risk. Matteo is a real tough guy that takes whatever he wants and he wants Beth, but the family business isn't so forgiving and he must live with his decision to let his father and brother deal with Beth. I must say, I wasn't too happy with Matteo's handling of Beth and there were no sweet actions or talk between them. Beth is more afraid of Matteo and his family than anything but I feel she at least held them with respect. I don't consider this a love story until we get to the end of the book, so be warned if your thinking the lady tames the bad boy, this is nothing like that at all. I did enjoy the story, I am used to reading dark stories, but I will stick to my aversion to Mob books, they really aren't my cup of tea.
3 1/2 stars. A mafia romance where lots of people are not nice and there is violence. It annoys me when they try to make a mafia member who is high up in the organization be too good. Let's be honest, there is something about the darkness that appeals when reading this type of a book.
I also appreciate that Beth does not do stupid things just because she wants to show she is independent or has a temper flare up. She does the best she can to make herself useful and accommodating. That's a smart survival strategy.
The two of them do work. They have a connection that starts off mostly sexual but develops into more as Matteo spends time as a family man.
Bethany Shelton noticed the man with the coldest eyes she had ever seen. He was also bleeding intending to help him, she is shocked to discover he has a gun trained on her. Ordering her to get some medical supplies he kidnaps her so she can fix his arm. Matteo Visconti is the son of Dom Visconti, he needs her help but also he knows her fate is sealed. Things don't go to plan and Beth has to call his father and ask for the family Dr to attend. Dom Visconti is thankful for everything that Beth has done and says he will repay her. Beth's life changes in a way that she would never have thought. This is a fantastic read and I love that Nia has incorporated some of the characters from the Avenging Angels series. It is darker than some of Nia's other works but all I can say is wow this book has everything, kidnapping, mafia, sex, murder highly recommended I wish I could give more that 5 stars loved it.
