The Strength of Weakness: How God Uses Our Flaws to Achieve His Goals

Rate this book
Leaders are expected to cope, and God has given them weaknesses as well as strengths to make them better leaders. Those who would be used by God must first become aware of their inadequacies. All who have wondered about the purpose of their weaknesses will be greatly encouraged by this book as they take inspiration from the Spirit of God rather than the spirit of the age.

A wonderful title presented in a very helpful way. Written practically and pastorally, it equips well for those preaching through 2 Corinthians. It doesn’t give too much exegetical work, but it doesn’t have to it as it flows from the text so easily. The author had a heart for those he was preaching this to, and it resonates so well with such a pastoral epistle as 2 Corinthians. Superb title!

I first read this in 1995 when on sabbatical in Cambridge and have found it helpful to read once again. Some good insights into the way the book speaks.
