Among the Flames is the third book in the Kisses and Crimes series. This is a romantic suspense series full of twists and turns, along with kisses and sexiness. You must read the two previous books to fully understand the story. If you have, then you have already met Giovanni and Sienna. Well...welcome to their story! It's one sexy and wild ride from New York to D.C.
It's been almost a year since Sienna has laid eyes on Giovanni. And now he was back. Back to turn her world upside down with one proposal he knew she couldn't resist. That is what he hoped anyway. But Gio is a man that always gets what he wants. Until now. He wants her. In his bed. Between his sheets. He is not one to keep a woman there past sunrise but he knows that once he had one taste of this feisty woman, he wouldn't want her to leave. That is why she is untouchable. She has to be. He can't go there. Not with what is on the line. And definitely not in his line of work. International imposter and con.
Why is he here? Yes. She has thought about those crystal blue eyes since he walked away but why now? Is he here to screw with her? Like losing her job at the FBI and working as a waitress in a rundown bar isn't enough. Now the one man that could bring her to her knees is back. Back with a twisted plan. Sienna didn't have time for this. She needs to concentrate on her life. One with an FBI badge. But, maybe just maybe this will be her way in. She was so fucked.
Ok. That's all I can really give you of the story. I will say that you need to pay attention. It's a crazy ride. One with many masks and twists. And adding in the sexual tension between these two and it's a party.
I love suspense. I love love. So combining the two is addicting. I enjoy putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Just when I think I have the right pieces, Natalie blows them up. My investigation skills are usually pretty good but she gets me every time. There is always that what the fuck moment while reading one of her books. Especially with this series!
Overall...it's a suspenseful, sexy, and fun ride! The characters are strong and lovable. The storyline is addicting. She got me good with this one! I am excited about book four. I read the sneak peek and I want it now. So hot.

When you think of a book written by Natalie R. Wrye, you think of hard hitting suspense and sexy, dripping hot scenes. You think of fast paced action and awesome characters that really make an impact on you and simply give you one heck of a ride. Among the Flames of epitome of a Natalie E. Wrye book. This book was hard smacking and punch dropping romantic suspense that totally made me fall in love with it. It was just fantastic. OMG, it took me on the wild and crazy ride that made me delirious. I was stuck on that high and I just wanted more of it.
Among the Flame is the third book in the Kisses and Crimes series. While it is standalone, it is strongly advisable to read Fool's Gold and Up in Smoke. I admit this series is getting better and better. I am just blown away because I followed this series from when it started and just cannot believe how hot and fiery it has gotten. It is just perfect and so sublime that Among the Flames just takes my breath away. Addictive, Explosive. Enthralling. Among the Flames was a gorgeously crafted story of epic mystery and suspense. Filled with so many twist and turns that made my mind crazy, Among the Flames pulled me into a world of criminals and danger. I was completely enamored by it. Natalie E. Wrye totally gave me a drop dead beauty of a beast that centered on a high paced action with tension and an added mix of sexiness. I loved it.
We were introduced to Gio who met in Fool's Gold and Sienna who we met in Up in Smoke. This was their story and I was certainly impressed. Both of them had a complicated relationship but still fit together so well. I was drawn into their messed up situation and they touched me. There was like cat and mouse feel going on between them that totally brought the story so much dynamic. Their relationship was carnal but yet consuming. Gio shocked me. In Fool's Gold, he was straight up nice guy. But then in this book, he was as slick as a snake. A criminal with a dangerous streak in him. There was just something interesting about him but yet scary. Bishop has my heart but Gio comes close second. Sienna surprised me. She was a spitfire, strong and totally independent. Wow, I freaking loved her. Together Gio and Sienna create fireworks in this book and gave an even more awesome layer.
Among the Flames exceeded my expectations. You need to read this book. Pick it up. Trust me.

What an amazing Suspense-Romance Story!!

Among the Flames is the third book in the Kisses and Crimes series by Natalie E. Wrye. This book is a standalone but I highly recommend you to read the previous books, so you can have more knowledge about the whole story.
This book is about Gio and Sienna, who we met in the last book and we were definitely waiting for this book. Gio is a guy who has a really difficult job and dangerous, and Sienna is a tough girl who used to have a really difficult job too, but now she doesn't know what she want to do.
The story between these two characters is full of drama and angst because neither Gio or Sienna can't forget the moment they meet, they are feeling that they could be something more between them but the circustances aren't good for that. So after some situation they find each other again but in this case Gio needs Sienna help for his last job, and this job envolves a really personal situation for her. But if you want to know what is this mistery you need to read the book because you will be at the end like O.M.G. I didn't see that coming!! ;)
In summary this book is AMAZING as the other books in the series!!! The book is full of suspense, romance, and really hot scenes between the characters!!! and another amazing part? is that Natalie introduce us the characters for the next book... and I'm telling you I'm sooo excited to read that one, because NAtalie books are really goood! She is one of my favorites suspense-romance authors!

Among The Flames by Natalie E. Wrye was a smartly written out labyrinth full of suspense, action, and sensual goodness.
This was my very first book from this author and I believe I found a new author to stalk *coughs* follow. I adored the flow of the writing. Giovanni DeSalt and Sienna Santiago can each hold the rooms attention like a moth to a flame. Together their chemistry is gravitational despite the angst and trying to pull away. The way the story builds up with twists, plus the characters, held me and intrigued me to invest in each page to learn more.
Now this story is a standalone but I did feel like I was missing some inside stuff. It did not take away from my experience but I think will enhance it. I'm hooked and trapped in this world and I need to discover more of it.

This is my first book by this author, but it certainly won't be the last! This book was gast paced and action packed, with just a hint of romance through the first half. The main characters danced around their feelings until toward the end of the book. I loved it!

Natalie is still in her writing groove that just slays me. This one was over the top fantastic, and make no mistake I love Natalie's books. This one threw me for a loop. A little different, she's so great at tossing those twists and turns that make you go "Huh??" "Wait, what??" This one just took that to the max.
I love how she loops in characters while bringing us new ones and holy pete this one I could not keep track of who and what Jeff/Gio/Parker. And she lets us dangle with that one for quite a while. I loved Sienna.
Sienna was an FBI agent, mentored by a well respected agent until while doing her job, also pursued her own tiny agenda of nabbing the man who ultimately was responsible for her mothers death.
There's a lot of drama associated with this man; who is currently in a coma after an attempt on his life, an infamous Senator with a long reach and mob connections. When Sienna is dismissed from her job, she gets a job with a couple of friends tending bar. Javi, her friend who has his own tale and her friend Ang. Both of these two turned out to get on my nerves in a big way at one point in the story, that happened to be a pivotal moment. That's all I am saying about the plot. You must read this one.
It can stand alone, the twists and turns are mind blowing and toward the later third of the book, I was so enthralled I was flipping pages like a madwoman.
Natalie kindly gives us a sneak peek at the next book, which I got totally sucked into and then she just ends the preview leaving me cussing up a storm. I'm reading that baby when it comes out.
Honestly, I'd give this more than five stars and as much as I have loved all her other books, I think she really hit her stride with this one. It's like she just sat and channeled this from another place.

Once again Ms Wrye delivers a fantastic fast paced and thrilling romantic suspense full of action and danger, secrets and lies. There's a good dose of intrigue which definitely keeps you guessing. It's a wild ride with some wonderful tension weaved into the story. These characters had me on the edge of my seat, waiting for their next move, which was never quite what I was anticipating. I love the way Gio and Sienna play cat and mouse with those around them and, despite the undeniable sexual chemistry between them, they play that game well with each other too. One explosive night where secrets are revealed and friendships are tested, changes everything.
Wonderfully written, this story grabs your attention from the beginning and keeps it there right up to it's thrilling conclusion. I loved this book and can't wait to read more from this extremely talented author.

Among the Flames is the third book in this series and it definitely doesn't disappoint! I don't know how Natalie does it, but there are more twists and turns and intrigue and suspense in this book that you won't put it down until you've finished it! And then you'll want more! I knew I would love Giovanni's character as soon as he was revealed in the previous book and I already loved Sienna's character and the two of them explode off the pages. Well developed characters, together with another unique storyline makes this a must read. If you're tired of the same old romantic suspense novels and you're looking for something that's different in the best way possible, then you've got to try this author. Excellent! Can't wait for the next Kisses and Crimes Book! I can't wait for the next Lies & Lust book either!

Sienna and Gio have some smoking hot chemistry, blowing up the pages of this book. But their relationship prior had been built on a lie...that is what Gio is, a liar (in a way). With all the lies you are really kept on your toes...I really feel like I understand Sienna and her reluctance, makes her that much more relatable to me. I am glad she was skeptical also, made it more realistic.
Now I have not read the other two books in the series, so I don't know what I am missing in regards to Sienna and Gio and maybe some of their background. We do get some flashbacks to things prior, but I would love to know more myself.
I love a good romantic suspense novel and this was no exception. I HAD to see what happened and whether Sienna and Gio could have a happily ever after. Among The Flames by Natalie E. Wrye is well-written story filled with action, angst and so much sexual tension you could feel it dripping off the pages. This was my first book from this author - and I find myself eagerly needing to go add book 1 & 2 of the Kisses and Crimes series (along with anything else she's written). Giovanni and Sienna's story has you drawn in from the very beginning. Gio's the type of guy most girls want - but hate. Sienna is the type of girl you cheer on - strong willed and gutsy. When they're thrust into each others' lives - the twists and turns their tale weaves will have you longing for more. I absolutely loved it!
While this is a standalone - I feel that I probably would have benefited from reading the first two books in the series. There were a few times where I had questions that - possibly- the first 2 books could've answered and it left me longing to go read those two to reread this one. This was still an excellent read, and I eagerly look forward to many more from Natalie E. Wrye.

Natalie E. Wrye is a new to me author. Among The Flames is definitely intriguing. It is chock full of mystery and suspense. And it is well written.
Gio and Sienna have definitely got to be one of the most unique couple I have ever read about in a book. He is an imposter. No one knows who he really is, even after he's screwed over his potential target.
Sienna is an ex FBI agent, whose goal is to take down the people who are responsible for killing her mother.
The two personalities clash but the sexual tension between the pair is undeniable. And both are defenceless when it comes to fighting their attraction off. As if they didn't have enough to contend with.
However, as I read this new to me author's work, I found myself a little lost. There was just so much going on. Honestly, I was confused through most of it. I even found myself going back and rereading chapters because I thought I'd missed something.

Having Sid that, I can honestly st I enjoyed this book and will go get the first and second book to read. There is some hot chemistry mixed with romantic suspense. It will keep you turning page after after page until the end. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This is my honest opinion

Fantastic read. It's full of action, suspense and mystery. This story will suck you in and keep you on the edge of your seat with its twists and turns. It's well written with characters you will love. The chemistry between the chemistry is hot. This book will take you through one heck of a ride. Looking forward to reading more. OMG! This is one fantastic read. Great twists and turns that keeps you on the edge of your seat. This romantic suspense is filled with action and danger, I was hooked from beginning till end. Fell in love with the characters, oh my loved them.

Among the Flames is a great read. The story was full of action, drama, suspense and steaminess. The characters Giovanni and Sienna were well developed and they had great chemistry. I enjoyed seeing some past characters. Wonderful series!

I was anxiously awaiting book #3 and it did not disappoint. Plenty of action, suspense and the build up, some serious anticipation, towards their steamy union. Great storyline and I hope there will be #4!

This book is a dramatic game of cat and mouse that has sympathetic characters and a convoluted storyline that kept me guessing. We first encountered Giovanni when he was the new assistant Jeff in book two of this series. Now we get to know the man behind the disguise and his relationship with Ariana is complicated, sexy and part of a much larger plot to bring down the Gaffanelli Mob. I listened to the audiobook version and I enjoyed the narration performances of Jameson Adam and Lola James who are new narrators for me.

The third book in the Kisses and Crimes series continues the wild ride that Natalie E. Wrye has led us on. She's brought back some characters from previous books, Giovanni from Fool's Gold and Sienna from Up in Smoke, and given them their own fast-paced story. While this book is a stand-alone, you really should read the first two in the series to get a taste of where these characters came from...you won't be sorry.
I loved the twists and turns this story took. Loved the evolution of the story and the personalities of our heroine and "hero". If you love hot criminals and feisty females, this is a book (and a series!) you don't want to miss!
