The Adeptus Mechanicus are the keepers and manufacturers of technology for the Imperium of Mankind. It is a role they guard jealously, using their own standing armies, engines of war and god-machines. It is within their power to unleash the most arcane weaponry in the Imperium, and they do so without mercy. Grim processions of soldiers stride in perfect unison, each one a disturbing fusion of man and machine. Behind them stomp soulless automata, and towering over them are enormous walkers. An Adeptus Mechanicus army marching to war is a sight both terrifying and glorious.

Codex: Adeptus Mechanicus contains a wealth of background and rules – the definitive book for Adeptus Mechanicus collectors. Within this 104-page hardback, you’ll find:

As a reference manual for tabletop gaming, this codex does a brilliant job of combining tabletop specs, imaginative lore, and beautiful artwork to thoroughly explain the different combative forces of the Adeptus Mechanicus as well as the Adeptus Titanicus. Explaining the specialties of each forgeworld and their lore brought an extra-dimension to this faction.

on a nerd level: i liked it.

on a literacy level: i read the german translation and it was badly translated. there are syntax mistakes making it hard to read sometimes. i got the book secondhand but had i bought it for full price, which is now 20€ for the older edition i read, i would feel scammed.
this book needed an editor.

Was soll das.

Great introduction to the whole Mechanicus force but they only had to smash the two earlier "half codexes" together. Could use some more information on the nature of the caledoscopic belief of the cult and its sub-cults but its highly interesting to read about the different forge-worlds and I see they snuck in the toaster crusade as a joke.

Rules come a long way in a relatively short while but still lacks special characters, artillery and flyers.
