Elijah lives a simple life on his mountain until he saves an injured woman from a crashed plane. He can’t abandon a woman in need, and soon will do whatever it takes to protect Gia, even if it costs him everything.
Gia is desperate and afraid. But when the kind—and sexy—mountain man takes her to his cabin, she thinks she might have finally found a safe place to hide. At least until she has to run again.
As Gia heals, she learns to love Elijah’s way of life, and maybe even Elijah himself. But her enemy is closer than she thinks, and he’ll stop at nothing to see her punished.
Pitted against a ruthless enemy and the wilderness itself, will Gia and Elijah survive to find their happily ever after?
These are a few of Aislinn’s favourite things, and you’ll find all of the above in her writing. Whether it’s the Soldiering On series – about wounded military veterans starting a security company together and finding love along the way - or her series about underground fighters.
If she’s not reading romance novels or watching action movies, you’ll find Aislinn writing like mad to get the next book out. She also loves to travel to new places around the world, forever in search of the perfect cottage in the forest that she hopes to one day call home.
Thank god for a private office because I spent my day at work reading this rather than doing my job. Despite what could be considered a traditional romance plot, I thought the characters and their setting were gripping and I needed to see how it all ended up working out. In addition to the larger plot lines of stolen money, plane crashes, and trying to stay alive, I thought the interpersonal conflict here really sold the story. The characters were well-developed and their differences were realistic while their connection felt solid.
My favorite thing about this book might be the setting though. If you've ever wished for a simpler life, or simply been obsessed with Harvest Moon/Stardew Valley, this is the "move to the middle of nowhere and live off the land" dream you've always had with the happy ending you've always wanted. Highly recommended.
Surprisingly I enjoyed this book! I thought it's going to be another, you know, shallow romance with slam-bam-thank-you-ma'am thingy but what a story indeed. Sure it's predictable, but the genuine feeling and relatable mindset throw me off a bit, and in a good way. The writing also pretty good, look forward to read more from this author.
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review I am freely leaving.
This is a new author for me, and the book was pretty good.
In this book we have Elijah, who has lived on this mountain since he was 15 yrs old with his father. Elijah doesn't remember much of the 'outside' world before he moved up to the mountain. His father was a military man who loved the solitude and was into conspiracies about different things and wanted to protect his son Elijah as best he could, so, he moved to the mountain and they became very reclusive. Elijah lives 2 or 3 days walk to town. He goes to down once a month or every two months for supplies.
Gia is on a plane and the plane crashes. Elijah see's the plan crash and heads towards it hoping that he is in time to save whoever maybe aboard the plane. Gia is running from her husband, trying to get away from him. Elijah finds the wrecked plane and rescues and unconscious Gia from the plane. He makes a litter and hauls her from the plane up to his home where he can help her heal. Elijah also brings along the backpack full of money that she is clinging too. Elijah knows this isn't good at all having this much money in the backpack. He is already leery of her and they haven't even spoken.
Once Gia is awake and healed for the most part, she see's what Elijah has done how he lives and she is in aw of him. How did the man learn how to do all of this. Elijah's father taught him a lot, but, how does he keep going on and on with it? Doesn't he ever get lonely?
Gia & Elijah fall for each other. Elijah knows in his heart he doesn't want Gia to leave, but, he can't bring his words out to tell her to stay.
Gia's husband - Ray see's the missing plane report on the TV one night and knows that's the one Gia is one. Ray gets a local trapper to take him to the plane sight. Although Ray is not nice at all and not one who knows how to hike or be outdoorsy, this is a very different world for him. Ray likes to be the one in control, but, out in nature, he's clearly not.
Once Ray finds the dwelling Elijah & Gia are in, they know they must get away from him. They try to escape him, and outrun him. Down the mountain towards town they go.
Will they be able to escape Ray? Will Gia be able to escape her husband Ray and break away from his controlling nature? Will Elijah be able to ask Gia to stay? Will Gia be able to live up on a mountain?
Oh! Man, I would climb the highest mountain in the world if it meant I’d get to be with, Elijah. He’s like Tarzan of the jungle only in this definition it’s Man of the mountain. His sex appeal is off the charts, and he doesn’t know it, which in turn is even more appealing. He’s become my biggest wet dream, um-hum it’s all Elijah goodness in my dreams at night.
Gia is on the run looking for somewhere safe to hopefully live out the rest of her life without fear. Only her destination is altered by fate when her plane crashes on a mountain. Gia is a city girl and has no idea what it means to live on a mountain, but she’s about to find out. Feeling safe is more rewarding than Gia ever thought possible, being with Elijah is like what dreams are made of. It’s all so unreal, but yet she’s safe and stuck on a huge mountain hundreds of miles aways from civilization.
Elijah has a small cabin but it’s always been enough for just him, however having Gia there makes it so much smaller. There is no electricity in his cabin, but sparks are definitely crackling with the chemistry between these two.
Elijah is enjoying Gia’s company, he’s been on his own for so long, and believed he was happy, but with Gia there things are different. She’s eager to learn how he lives and how things are done. Wanting to help out, he gives her tasks. He has a deep need to do everything he can to protect Gia.
Gia worries about what she’ll do once she gets down from the mountain. If she gets down. Does she really want to go? Elijah doesn’t want her to go, but he has nothing to offer her either. Neither are ready to let the outside in, but eventually they will have to face what is out there.
There’s an old saying, that springs to mind ‘If the mountain will not come to Muhammad, then Muhammad must go to the mountain' in this case if the mountain will not come to Gia, then Gia must go to the mountain.
If you love all things romance then you won’t regret one clicking.

REVIEW: Such a fun read! Gia is running from her drug lord, weapons dealing, abusive husband when she boards a small plane to escape. Unfortunately, the plane crash lands on the mountain side. The pilot is killed. Gia survives only because a gorgeous mountain man rescues her while he’s out hunting for meat.
Taking the injured and unconscious woman back to his cabin, he takes care of her. Once she is better they start to learn about each other. Gia is reluctant to tell him anything, especially about what’s in her backpack. Although, Elijah has seen what’s inside, he doesn’t question her right away, nor does he fully trust her. He’s just trying to get her well enough she can hike the two days into town to seek further help.
Gia’s husband learns about her plane crash and comes after her. Well, maybe not so much for Gia as he’s after the backpack. During the duration it takes him to find Gia, he works himself up over the fact she ran and took what belongs to him. He then decides he’ll reclaim what’s his, the backpack and its contents and Gia. But his plans aren’t for Gia to leave the mountain.
Elijah finally insists Gia explain the backpack and why she’s running. She tells him everything. They bond and fall for each other over the next several days as they are stuck in the cabin due to extreme weather (snow).
Then all hell breaks loose. This story is non-stop. I love the way Elijah is able to live off the land. He teaches Gia how to make soap and what it’s like to live the ‘simple life’.
She ran from the danger that was her life. A plane crash could have ended it all until she was rescued. The life of caged luxury hadn't prepared her for the life Elijah lived. His little cabin had none of the amenities most take for granted. He made, grew, or hunted for almost everything. He lived days from anyone on a mountain of snow. He'd been alone for years. It was what he wanted or so he thought until Gia entered his life.
They both learned that they wanted more or in Gia's case less was more. This silent giant was tender, quiet, and made her feel things she'd never felt before. Was it possible they could build something together? He had never experienced the feelings she brought out in him. He knew his lifestyle wasn't for most. Could he change for her?
If her past found her he'd be in danger as well. She couldn't do that to this wonderful man. The question is would she have time to get away from him before that danger showed up.
Each part of this couple finds a life change along with love. They have to learn a new way to live if they are willing to make the sacrifices necessary to be together. Watching them grow and learn and love is a reading experience. The lovers are loveable, the bad guy easy to hate, and the location a wonderland with real dangers. I enjoyed it covered to cover. Ms. Kearns is a new author to me, however, I will be reading more of her work.
Stranded with the Mountain Man is a romantic suspenseful thriller that involves a woman on the run from her dangerous revengeful husband and a reclusive mountain man. This story takes you on the journey of Gia escape that brought her into the arms of Elijah. Gia and Elijah have a lot to learn and teach each other that life can be different from what you imagined and can bring you a new happy life. The relationship that develops between the characters is new to them and yet they both learn to love and how to live again.
Stranded with the Mountain Man is an intriguing and well-written story. There are many twists and turns that form a believable plot. There is a lot of action and suspense with just enough romance mixed in to keep my interest piqued. This author really knows how to build up the suspense and keep your attention to the very end. The characters were well developed and engaging.
This is the first book that I have read by Aislinn Kearns and will certainly not be my last. I was not disappointed at all. I recommend Stranded with the Mountain Man to anyone that enjoys reading a suspenseful romantic thriller that will keep you entertained all the way to the end while keeping you sitting on the edge of your seat.
After growing up with not much money and her mum working 2 jobs to make ends meet. Gia thought she had met the man of her dreams. He was devoted to her and oh so charming. Anything she wanted he brought her. But all that changed when he finally got her to marry him and then the real Ray showed his true colours. With no way of escape Gia had to bide her time until she saw a chance to leave behind her life of hell. That one chance came but with it came deadly consequences. Could her saviour help her be free of Ray for good? Did he even want her in his space? Elijah really didn’t have any contact with the outside world except for his rare trips to the local town for supplies. He loved his life even when his father died. He thought he was doing ok and he didn’t feel needed anyone. After all, he wasn't lonely or at least he didn't think so until the woman of his dreams literally fell from the sky. This book is amazing Elijah is just so so endearing you can't help but fall in love with him and his awkward ways but he has a true heart of gold. A story you can read over and over again and still enjoy it.
I didn't think I was going to enjoy this once I realised it was probably going to be erotica.
But firstly it was the plain and simple title - it said exactly what it was. Next it was the cover that drew me.
The next thing, after I had decided to buy it was the writing. It was good. Certain words made me realise that this was going to be erotica when the main characters finally got together. I'm not totally against erotica, but feel sometimes that the story is more about that than the storyline.
I'm happy to say that it was only a very small part of it. I did love the storyline and it was told extremely well. The main character were great and the ex husband in pursuit kept you on the edge a little.
A great read which I am happy to give five stars too.
Running away from her abusive husband, Gia finds herself stuck in the middle of the mountains with a recluse. Elijah has been living alone since he was 15, living off the grid and living off the land. Finding her and helping her recover are the easy parts. Staying away from the sparks between them is the hard part. When he husband tries to kill them both will Elijah realize she is worth coming back to reality and fight for her? Or will he let he4 go back to her old life once the threat of her husband is gone? With great characters and a storyline that keeps the reader’s attention this book is a great read.
Gia lands on the mountain after a plane crash. Her rescuer, Beau, runs to help. He takes her back to his cabin to heal. She is terrified of her ex, Ray. He can’t find her. While at his cabin recovering, she learns his way of life and wonders if this could be her freedom to. Could she live this way? When Ray finds them, he only wants her dead but Beau can’t let that happen. The twist within this storyline are fantastic.
Gia is on the run from her abusive husband when she is involved in a terrible accident. While Elijah is out hunting he comes across this accident and Gia. He rescues her and takes her to the safety of his home. While she is recovering from the accident she learns more about Elijah and his way of living and finds she is enjoying her time with him.
What happens when they are face to face with a dangerous man?? You will have to read to find out!!
Wow! What an amazing story. This was my first book read by this author and I'm very impressed with how it was written. Elijah and Gia couldn't be more different. She's used to mansions and expensive things where as he lives in a cabin off the grid, no electricity and has to be careful he doesn't run out of supplies. When he finds her, neither thought that it would be the beginning of something really special. Gia and Elijah soon realize that they saved each other. I'm excited to read more of Aislinn's books. Definitely a book I would recommend. I loved it💜

I loved this book. Tons of action a sweet romance that blooms. A damsel in distress and a rugged mountain man makes for a perfect story. Both characters were likeable too. The only downside was the ending. I felt like I wanted to know more. Could it be left off for a possible 2nd book? It kind of ended like a happy for now, in my opinion.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the chemistry between the MC’s, and the story line was interesting from start to finish. Elijah was amazing and has a heart of gold. His innocence was so charming, and I loved how he looked after Gia. Gia was brave in finally taking her life into her own hands. She fell into Elijah’s way of life even though it was the opposite of why she was use too. I would definitely recommend this book if your looking for an interesting, adventurous, quick read with really likable characters. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.

“You needed help. And…it turns out I needed company.” Sometimes, having less is more... I liked this sweet, innocent hero. He lives completely alone and off the grid. He saves city girl who is used to everything at her disposal. She learns to live off grid and enjoys it though she misses some of the modern conveniences. Nice, enjoyable story with some action as Gia’s soon-to-be ex arrives to retrieve what she took.
Wow this book was such a great read. I highly suggest you get this book and read it right now. The action pack love story was so heart warming and thrilling I read it straight through in a day. I love Gia and her strong will to survive through it all. Elijah and his ability to change, care for and protect Gia no matter what sent my heart to bursting. This is a worth while book. So get reading!
what a great book when I started this book I was skeptical because it's a new author to me but I quickly fell in love with this book. Elijah had lived in the mountains since he was young with his father. He got so used to the ways of the mountains that he forgot what it was like to live in the city. when he cvomes across a woman hurt in a plane crash , he does everything he can to save her and keep her safe. but can he?
This is a really good read. When a city girl on the run meets a real life mountain man, you know sparks are going to fly. Throw in a vengeful husband, a snow storm and things are bound to heat up. With strong characters, great storyline and few little surprises thrown in, this book will suck you in from the very beginning.
It was a fast, easy read. Nice but not great. Grammar and syntax were okay. My issues were mostly the insta-lust. Within two or three days, Gia is considering staying in that isolated cabin forever. She even doesn't care about becoming pregnant with a guy she's just met. It didn't strike me as very realistic.
A great read. It has action, drama and heartwarming. It will keep you hooked with its twists and suspense. A great storyline with characters you will love. The enjoyed the connection and chemistry between the characters. It’s an entertaining read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This was a great book! I was hooked from the first page. The characters are so well written that you feel like you are in their minds while reading. This was my first book by this author and I will be reading more.
So good & different than anything I have read lately. It took me awhile to read but just because I have been busy. I enjoyed Gia & Elijah they were each likable main characters. I love the mountains & living off the grid is fascinating so I liked this one a lot!
