Five stars for this romantic comedy!
I adored how Trystan and Emmy get to know one another and how they fall into one another’s lives.
"But…oh shit. This was not my phone.”
The banter and chemistry is fantastic the author exceeded my expectations with this couple!

This was a fun choice for an audiobook - there are two narrators, and the story includes texts and phone calls (including the dirty variety), as all modern 'love' stories should. There's also some deeper stuff going on with the main couple's personal lives involving their family members, which was a nice side plot. I almost rated this a full 4 stars, but the end of the book actually made me a little mad. It just ends so abruptly! This definitely needed some kind of epilogue. The ending also made me dislike Emmy for the first time because she suddenly treats Trystan (ugh to that spelling, another reason to listen to the audiobook) terribly for no real reason. She then likewise gets over her issues just as quickly which just cemented how dumb she was being in the first place. So if you take out my annoyances with the ending, which wasn't terrible by any means I just didn't prefer it, then I would have rated this higher. I decided to still round up to 4 because I did really like this.

This is a sweet book which is also a quick read. It is fun and an enjoyable pastime.
Trystan & Emmy accidentally switch phones at the airport and for a few days, they hold on to each other's phone while they are in different cities.
They start to message & e-mail to each other to forward their important messages at the beginning but later they discover that they like chatting on the phone.
It is sometimes by messages or e-mails and sometimes by actual phone conversations or video chats.

Emmy is scared of relationships and she has trust issues because of her tumultuous past.
Trystan is scared of commitment because he is afraid of rejection. That's why, he only has hook ups that come with no strings attached.
When Trystan and Emmy start to develop a friendship over the phone, they also start to develop a crush on each other.
Their conversations are sometimes sweet and fun and sometimes full of sexual chemistry.

Such an abrupt ending!
It could have been so much better with some more development of their relationship and a more decent ending. Also, an epilogue wouldn't hurt.
Such a shame because it was so much fun and the book had potential to be so much better. It now feels as if the writer got bored and just wanted to end it.

It's the same review as the one I posted last night. I just accidentally removed it today..
I really enjoyed and loved Accidental Tryst. This novel was funny, hot, sweet and a little emotional. I had to laugh many times and I had a big smile on my face at the end. I loved the texts, the phone calls and the mails. I was hooked from the start and I didn’t want to stop reading. I just wished that there was an epilogue. It was over too soon.
Accidental Tryst starts at an airport. Trystan and Emmy see each other. They don’t talk to each other, but they have an opinion about each other. That opinion isn’t very positive. When Emmy needs to catch her plane, she takes the wrong phone with her. She needs her phone, so she hopes that the real owner has her phone. Trystan can’t believe someone took his phone, because he needs it. When Trystan and Emmy talk to each other, they decide to keep each other’s phone until they can give the phone back. They keep in touch in the mean time.
Trystan and Emmy are incredible characters. Emmy is caring, talented, sweet, easy going and loving. She would do anything for her family and friends. Emmy loves the city where she lives, Charleston, and she knows all the hidden gems there. Trystan isn’t a fan of the city, but he likes it more and more.
Trystan is a smart, rich, closed off businessman with a soft side. He did some sweet things for Emmy. Some things from Trystan’s past still affect his life now. He doesn’t like his family and he can’t believe what his grandfather put in his will. Emmy does change Trystan’s mind about some things and makes him feel less lonely.
Trystan and Emmy are opposites, but I really love them together. They slowly start to like (and maybe even love) each other. But Trystan and Emmy keep some distant at the beginning, because they don’t expect to hear each other once they get their own phone back and they live far from each other. Things change in their lives and they love talking to each other. Both of them think about each other when they don’t hear the other. Trystan and Emmy are a beautiful, wonderful couple.
It took a long time before Trystan and Emmy met each other in real life. Both of them had something important going on in the city they were staying. Their first real meeting and their kiss were worth the wait. I maybe wanted them to see each other in real life sooner, just to get some more time of them as a couple. But I also never noticed that it took so long, because I was loving the story so much.
Accidental Tryst has great secondary characters! Emmy has amazing friends and she’s very close to them. Her friends are funny, genuine and loving. Emmy can always count on them. I really liked Trystan’s cousin, Beau. I’m so excited that he will get his own book. I can’t wait!

A busy New York suit on his way to Charleston to the funeral of an estranged family member in the middle of a huge business deal.
A slightly klutzy and scatter-brained hippie-chick on her way from Charleston to New York to take care of some family matters of her own.
Both can't live without their phones. But they kinda accidentally pick up the other's phone from the airport docking station in Charleston.

I just loved reading this book!
Of course we also have our very serious moments - both Emmy and Trystan have serious family problems and both are also pretty scared of serious relationships.
But mostly this was an amazing romantic comedy.
The way those two text and talk on their switched phones - just adorable!
I loved every second of this love story.
The characters - the setting in beautiful Charleston - the texts and emails and banter and serious stuff while talking on the phone .... just beautiful.
Now I can't wait to hear how Trystan's poor cousin Beau will manage to get his inheritance!!!☺☺
ACCiDENTAL TRYST was the most adorable and hilarious romantic comedy with some very serious moments thrown in. I loved it! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Trystan - this one is MINE!!!

ACCIDENTAL TRYST is the kind of book you just ‘live in’, in the moment and I did it often with a smile on my face. I was amused, I laughed, I felt the steam rising and I pretty much loved the characters. Emmy and Trystan are memorable for their hate, their banter and their chemistry.
This book has the characters geographically apart for quite a section of the book, as they’ve accidentally picked up one another’s phones. Considering this, these two had the kind of chemistry that illuminated the room....with crackles. Trystan (the ‘Suit Monkey’) starts with a hint of jerk but he is about to face something difficult, in actual fact, Trystan is a man evolving and he’s so damn funny.
“He was a kind, beautiful man, with a tendency toward periodic assholery.
Initially, I thought Emmy was an air-head, probably because Trystan convinced me of this but she’s not. She’s such a compassionate character and I loved the story revolving around David. I think and believe that Emmy’s compassion rubbed off on Trystan. In fact, the influence they had on one another’s lives from afar was good reading. When these two met...boom!
ACCIDENTAL TRYST has a thread of families throughout. The Dubois and the Montgomerys were unconventional and complicated and I loved the saga feel to these families. I’m delighted there will be more from connected characters.
Natasha Boyd’s writing made me slip into the story with ease. She had just the right amount of fun-to-serious measure, alongside buckets of chemistry. The dialogue was sublime and so damn funny. The story never waned, keeping me engaged from cover to cover.

I loved it. It's no secret that Natasha Boyd is one of my favorite authors. Her books are an auto-buy for me. This time she surprised me with this sexy and funny contemporary romance that reminded me so much of Vi Keeland's stories.
Trystan and Emmy are strangers and two very different people in almost everything. They do share one thing in common, which is the type of their mobile device, and it's what gets them interfering in each other's life.
Emmy is almost alone in the world trying very hard to keep her last connection to a family that chose her in her most valnerable. She is a free spirit, has a few very good friends and lives happily in Charleston.
Trystan, is in the top of the world, harvesting the fruits of his long labor in the real estate business and indulging himself in an endless parade of one-night hook-ups. He lives in New York but a family affair with his long time enstranged relatives has him colliding paths with Emmy.
Watching their relationship advance through messages, e-mails, phone-talk and phone -videos, was very amusing and enjoyable.
One of the best contemporary romances I've read lately, I recommend it to all my friends who like the gender.

This story is about my once upon a time fantasy. Imagine you switch phone with a stranger. That stranger can be anyone and you have full access to his/ her life through the phone. That stranger can be a drug dealer, criminal, someone famous, a simple ordinary person, or your prince charming. This story is about that connection with a stranger.
I can not imagine what I would do if someone took my phone for 4 days. And during that 4 days, we connected and falls in love. What a beautiful romance it is. Image you telling your grandchildren the story how you met. What a lovely fantasy. I do love it.
I do enjoy this book very much. I love Tristan. He is so sexy with that British accent. I do love British accent on a man. But I am not sure about Emmy. She likes a fly who flies around then fly away. Most of it, the reasons she flies away is because she is so afraid of her own feeling. For someone who wants a long term relationship, she freaks out easily.
Overall, I do enjoy this book very much.

Proving the sceptics wrong…
Accidental Tryst caught my eye with its bright and original cover. These days, I have less and less time to cave in to cover love and pick a book based solely on its cover. Gone are the days where abs and pecs catch my eye. Now, my eyes are looking for something different. It doesn’t have to be a work of art but it does have to have a little pizazz. So, it wasn’t the author, because I haven’t read her stories previously. I hadn’t “heard” about this story either. It was a cover that caught my eye, then a blurb that was interesting, followed by a price that was not only affordable, it was a bit of *BARGAIN* (anything less than $4.00 is a bit of a bargain these days).
From the very first page of Accidental Tryst, I was hooked. I love a good manwhore who realises he’s only a manwhore because he hadn’t found the right woman YET. Of course, there were many reasons why he was a manwhore and I found myself excusing his past mistakes fairly easily. Trystan proved all the sceptics wrong. Manwhores can change their ways. By looking inside himself and getting to know Emmy, he realised that sharing more than a sexual relationship with a woman can make you happy.
I love it when I find a romance that I love the heroine as much as the hero. Emmy is the kind of heroine where you actually want her in your own life. She’s the friend who has your back, cares about others…and knows the best places to eat and get coffee. Emmy has had some hard times in her life but she’s determined to make the best out of every opportunity. She’s just a fair dinkum nice person who deserves a happily ever after.
The old phone switcheroo is a great storyline and this one was one of the best I’ve read. I loved that Emmy admitted it was easier starting a relationship/friendship by text than having to get to know each other face to face. Both of them acknowledged, that at any time they could throw away the phone in their hand and never have to see/deal with each other again. It was fun watching them realise it's a little more than just minding a phone. When you're constantly thinking about them, worrying for them and fantasising about them, it’s definitely more.
I loved the humour in Accidental Tryst. There was a smile on my face throughout most of the story. The only time my smile dimmed was when I had to witness them suffer through their worries over heartbreak and being abandoned. I was convinced they were perfect for each other and that they HAD to make it work.
Honestly, this story left me happy. It had just the right mix of highs and lows to keep me thoroughly entertained. There was the initial…*You want me to fall for this Douchewaffle?* That then changed into… *Oh, so you do have a heart buried deep down inside*. Then there was the…*How could you not fall for this cute and quirky lady in her yellow polka dot bikini?* Which made it easier to bear the heartbreak when I was confronted by their pasts…*Oh you poor dear souls, you’ve both had it tough and it breaks my heart to see you have suffered.* The sexy times made me squirm and my heart beat faster…*Oh my lordy, that scene was so HOT and you weren’t even in the same bloody room.*
Give me a love story that hits all the highs and lows, and you’ve given me a winner. I’m glad the cover caught my eye, it was a *BARGAIN* and the manwhore proved the sceptics wrong by making the Accidental Tryst lead to a happily ever after.
I will definitely be looking for more stories by Natasha Boyd in the future.

The old phone switcheroo is a great storyline and this one was one of the best I’ve read. I loved that Emmy admitted it was easier starting a relationship/friendship by text than having to get to know each other face to face. Both of them acknowledged, that at any time they could throw away the phone in their hand and never have to see/deal with each other again. It was fun watching them realise it's a little more than just minding a phone. When you're constantly thinking about them, worrying for them and fantasising about them, it’s definitely more.
I loved the humour in Accidental Tryst. There was a smile on my face throughout most of the story. The only time my smile dimmed was when I had to witness them suffer through their worries over heartbreak and being abandoned. I was convinced they were perfect for each other and that they HAD to make it work.
Honestly, this story left me happy. It had just the right mix of highs and lows to keep me thoroughly entertained. There was the initial…*You want me to fall for this Douchewaffle?* That then changed into… *Oh, so you do have a heart buried deep down inside*. Then there was the…*How could you not fall for this cute and quirky lady in her yellow polka dot bikini?* Which made it easier to bear the heartbreak when I was confronted by their pasts…*Oh you poor dear souls, you’ve both had it tough and it breaks my heart to see you have suffered.* The sexy times made me squirm and my heart beat faster…*Oh my lordy, that scene was so HOT and you weren’t even in the same bloody room.*
Give me a love story that hits all the highs and lows, and you’ve given me a winner. I’m glad the cover caught my eye, it was a *BARGAIN* and the manwhore proved the sceptics wrong by making the Accidental Tryst lead to a happily ever after.
I will definitely be looking for more stories by Natasha Boyd in the future.

And Natasha Boyd does creates that as Trystan and Emme bring plenty of fun, flirt and some real heartfelt moments via their texts, emails and conversations, but I can’t deny I did find it something of a slow starter and they didn’t truly grab hold of me until the halfway point.

That said, both were endearing: Emme is fun and quirky yet also maddening at times, Trystan a considerate sweetheart with a dirty mind and an equally dirty mouth which leads to some very steamy shenanigans, and as they get to know one another we discover their more vulnerable sides and similarities. It’s easy to hide behind technology, face-to-face brings a whole new set of feelings.

I wouldn’t say I found the humour laugh-out-loud funny—romcoms are very much individual to the reader and what I find hilarious you may not and vice versa—but there were moments which did rouse a loud snort or three from me. Overall, Accidental Tryst is an easy, enjoyable read (albeit with an ending edge towards the more abrupt side) which I recommend checking out for yourself—I’m certainly interested in Beau’s story when the time comes.

I fell hard for this story!

I love an alpha-hole, and Trystan fit the characteristics to a “T”, only somewhere along the way he changed, and grew into something sweet and gooey centered. Catnip—checkbox!
I can’t express how much I loved this book! I live in Charleston so all the mentions of real restaurants, coffee shops, streets, and hotels made me do a dancing jig! This story felt like a warm blanket with a nice hot cup of Joe.
Trystan and Montgomery fell in love before they even met. They exchanged gripes at a crowded airport, got their phones switched and basically forced to interact until they were able to swap phones back.
I love this storyline, the hero & heroine, the secondary characters, and the vulnerability in which Natasha wrote these battered and bruised characters.

Sugar, and lots of spice with angst thrown in the batter. This was a delicious read! I’m glad there’s another book!

4 Suit Monkey stars!
This was such a cute, witty, slow-burn story! I LOVE relationships that begin with texting, messaging, phone calls or letters! It’s one of my weaknesses. So, if you don’t enjoy that, then turn away now,
This story begins with an accidental phone swap in a busy airport, each of our MCs heading in opposite directions. It’s amazing how much we rely on our phones today, our whole lives are kept on them! Both Trystan & Emmy need their phones, so instead of running to the nearest store to replace them, they each keep the other’s phone and message pertinent information back and forth. They get to know each other through their witty repartee and also by the content in the phones, photos, messages, apps, etc. I loved the quick intimacy developed from such a view into each other’s lives.
Emmy was raised in foster care until the age of 10 when she was finally adopted by her foster parents. She has been forever grateful for the short time that she had them in her life and still takes care of her foster uncle. She’s also hard working, loyal, caring, and has so much love to give.
Trystan also carries his own heavy baggage, at a young age his mother was shunned by her own family, left to raise her son on her own. Trystan has lots of anger and resentment towards his family and it’s the death of his beloved grandfather that ends up bringing him home to face his past.
Because of their pasts, Emmy’s afraid that every relationship will be taken away from her and Tystan is afraid of being rejected. I loved how they came to rely on each other, not just for the information locked in their phones, but for comfort, for advice, or just to share the day.
The only thing that irked me a bit was the abrupt ending and no epilogue! I feel that an epilogue was very much needed in this story, especially after such a slow burn.

First impressions and second chances
I went into this book expecting a laugh a minute. Did I snort uproariously? Nope. However, I did smile a lot at the beginning with the texting banter. First impressions - geesh. Too funny. And so wrong. Kind of.
What this book did was surprise me. It surprised me with the depth of character for the leads. It surprised me with secondary characters that don't fit the sidekick mold. Of note on the secondaries is an elderly stockbroker with dementia and a 20-something wanna-be rapper whose day job is at an elderly care facility. Boyd mined pure gold out of these two, among others. It surprised me with the fully-developed romance that takes shape largely with the two main characters in different regions of the country. Attraction of the mind before attraction of the body - (little jumping up and down there).
Suit Monkey (sorry, Trystan) is an uptight New Yorker whose normal is off-kilter due to a death in the family. Hippie Girl (sorry, Emmy) is NOT flower-power chick out to save the world one absent-minded thought at a time. She is also off kilter, facing a financial crisis tied to aforementioned dementia patient. At the beginning, readers get sucked into the romance because of the inspired banter, their general hotness, and the hints of decent that constantly trickle into Suit Monkey's actions. The growing attraction keeps you interested, and then the explosive chemistry once they, you know. Holy crap. I read it hours ago, and I'm still swooning a little.
Something unique about this book it the realism it fostered despite the contrived premise. The "NOT meet cute" is ridiculous, but the explanation for the long-term phone exchange has some merit. And then these two just keep talking, and reacting, and enjoying, and falling for one another bit by bit despite the chaos of other parts of their lives.
There is push-pull. A little bit of angst. A lot of insecurity. A promiscuous man and a not-so-promiscuous girl. These tend to be tropes I don't like much, but I just felt pillowed in personality with Trystan and Emmy. I liked them. Their romance had a slow-burn feel to it, and then it just turned scorching hot. If you like Mariana Zapata's approach to taking time for leads to get to know one another, you might enjoy this book, too.

3.5 Fun!
This was a really cute read!
You know that book that makes you laugh and feel better whenever you're reading it? Well, this is that kind of book. It's perfect for a lazy weekend, for that moment when you're lying in the sun on a holiday or just when you're in bed, late at night, looking for something light to read before going to bed.
Why only 3 stars (3.5, but GR still doesn't give us that possibility)? Well, like any other fun romance, the characters didn't really have depth and the story was pretty typical (fun, cute, but still common).
Anyway, it's definitely a book worth reading

It's been a while since I read one of Natasha's books so I was super excited when this beauty showed up as an ARC on my kindle. And as like all books I've read from Natasha, I devoured Accidental Tryst.
Accidental Tryst is Romcom at its very best! This book is pure perfection!

Everyone reading this book is a lucky human as you all get to meet your new bookboyfriend Trystan. Trystan is spectacular. He's the perfect mix of all qualities you are looking for in a perfect bookboyfriend. Or at least what I'm looking for. He's strong minded but down to earth, he's proud but got a great sense of humor, he 's loving and caring but afraid of showing affection. He got hurt in the past by his family and is afraid of human proximity. He suits up but is no stuck-up suit. He's the right amount of alpha-male and pushing limits but never over the top.
"... I feel like I'm base jumping. I just voluntarily threw myself off a cliff, and I'm living in the free-fall terror for as long as it will have me because it feels fucking amazing."
I love the way how Natasha lets Trystan open up to Emmy. The conversations over text, calls and e-mails give him the sense of protection and freedom he needed. Until he started to realize what he was missing out, never letting someone getting close to him.
The way he starts caring for Emmy is so cute! And action speaks always louder than words.
"I never saw him coming, but I knew he had quickly become an addiction that would be impossible to quit."
Emmy is equally a spectacular heroine. I love the way how she sees and takes on life. How she became a strong independent woman even though life threw a lot of obstacles in her way. She's cares deeply for the people she loves and that are close to her. She's open minded and a free spirit. If she was real, I totally would love to be one of her closest friends.
"That's not fair," I whispered. "Not fair? What's not fair is you not even giving me a chance." "A chance to break me?" "A chance to love you."
Emmy and Trystan, obviously thrown together by fate and cupid hit a perfect match. Their funny and witty banter on and off the text, emails and calls is hilarious and the chemistry is way off the charts. Natasha made it so easy to fall for both, I just couldn't put the book down. It was like I was on the receiving end of all those messages and I freaking loved it!
And I swear to god, the first time they have sex? I never read a first time scene so unbelievably HOT! This was so steamy, my glasses were fogging up. *blush*
"Can we be scared together?"
Accidental Tryst is such a light and funny read, it lifts your mood automatically, no matter how broody you might be. The way this love story plays out could really be right out of real life. Maybe that's why I felt so close to Emmy and Trystan. It felt real.
If you need to lighten up and if you are up for a steaming hot and funny banter, this is totally your book! Natasha did a fantastic job with this story and I can only highly recommend this one!

Cute read. LOVED the plot of accidental phone swaps. I could really feel the attraction between the main characters.. however, i HATED the 80% onward bit when Emmy kept being in denial and kept pushing the hero away. SUCH A DRAG.. I would have loved a chapter of them actually living and being together, perhaps even a glimpse into the future. What an abrupt ending! Gah!!

I hate emotional cowards.
4 stars for the first half and 2 stars for the second half = 3 stars
The first half of this book was great, the MCs had great chemistry and the author did a great job making them feel connected even though they were just talking through text/email/phone calls and had barely seen each other for 10 seconds in person. But then sex happened and Emmy, the heroine, FREAKS OUT and keeps running hot and cold until the end.
My big problem with the rest of the book was that Trystan - who also had a lot of emotional scars - took ALL the leaps of faith. He kept fighting for the relationship and she kept giving him the brushoff. At the end, he practically had to beg her to give them a chance. For a relationship to work, both people need to meet each other half way. But if you have one person giving and the other one taking, it's doomed to failure. Even with the example of her uncle, who had a lot of regrets in his life, Emmy doesn't wake up and is waiting for some sort of certainty that she'll never be hurt again. This is one of those relationships that I don't see lasting. The first time they have problems and Trystan is not willing to back down, she'll bolt and that will be the end of the relationship.
The narration by John Lane and Cassandra York was great. I would definitely listen to them both again.
This book annoyed me so much that it's unlikely I'll continue the series.

Great banter, great chemistry. Hero - swoony, heroine - kickass. Loved the humour. I missed epi though so I hope we're gonna have some more Emmy and Trystan in Beau's book, which will be next in series.

Dived into this one without any expectations and it was the most pleasant surprise. I love the plot, the characters and everything. My only complain is not getting enough of the romance when they finally get together and some issues that I'd like to see get resolved. Other than that, a big yes.
Dived into this one without any expectations and it was the most pleasant surprise. I love the plot, the characters and everything. My only complain is not getting enough of the romance when they finally get together and some issues that I'd like to see get resolved. Other than that, a big yes.

“Can we be scared together?”
Oh gosh, we LOVED this book! Everything about it left with a warm and giddy feeling of happiness. The feverish chemistry, by text and in person, the witty, flirty, fun and sexy banter, the emotional pull of two people afraid to let their hearts fly, and especially the beautifully sweet, sincere and wonderful way in which Natasha Boyd delivered Trystan and Emmy’s story. It was perfection, and we soon found ourselves texting our own love for Accidental Tryst whilst reading, unable to contain our excitement for this fabulous romantic comedy…..

Well….you get the drift…we enjoyed this book immensely! We delighted in getting to know Emmy and Tristan thanks to a mix up at the airport which saw them grab each other’s mobile phones. With Trystan heading to South Carolina and Emmy heading to New York, they are unable to rectify the problem for a few days due to personal commitments.
‘Maybe most people never meet that someone, or maybe they don’t recognize when they do. Maybe they pass them on the street and share a look, but they don’t realize the size of the opportunity they are passing. Or they do but their hands are tied.’
Trystan L Montgomery initially came across as an uptight grumpy arse. A workaholic who seeks physical pleasure with no commitments or complications. However, as we came to know him, discovering so much more beneath the sexy and oh so VERY swoony Mr Montgomery!
Emmaline Angelique Dubois can’t get a read on Trystan. He’s all over the place…sweet and flirty one minute, a grumpy cock the next. Emmy has her own problems and doesn’t need her developing feelings for this man adding to them, but is helpless to resist the handsome Trystan.
‘I never saw him coming, but I knew he had quickly become an addiction that would be impossible to quit.’
We loved the way in which Emmy and Trystan’s relationship developed, and the way we were captivated as we learnt the reasons for Trystan being an emotionally disconnected relationship-phobe. At the same time, we discovered Emmy too was carrying her share of baggage, as Trystan and Emmy began to open up about their feelings and pasts before meeting in person.
“I’d really love to fall asleep talking to you.”
As Emmy and Trystan’s feelings develop, there were moments of tears as emotions felt so real, moments when we fanned ourselves over Trystan’s dirty talk and the intense passion between the two, and OMG! The intensity of their first meeting…we died!! Without question, we felt every look, every touch! And that first kiss….one of the best first kisses we’ve ever read…..oh good Lord, did we swoon! As we turned the last page of Accidental Tryst we were left feeling warm, gooey, and very happy, as Natasha Boyd dealt out all the elements we were in the mood for.
“Throw yourself into love, Emmy. It’s scary. I know.”
We’re so looking forward to the next standalone, Inconvenient Wife, – Beau’s story which releases in May. We think we’re going to be seriously addicted to this series!

Loved it!
I find myself turning to light, sweet, humorous reads after reading something heavy. Having just read something heavy, I picked up this audio book and it did not disappoint.
This is the story of Trystan and Emmy who are both in the airport using phone charging stations next to each other. And one of them accidentally picks up the other's phone and gets on the plane. They wind up in different cities with the other's phone. It was a fun, fresh premise with a lot of witty banter and sexual tension.
This is my first Natasha Boyd novel. I really liked her style and will keep my eyes open for more by her. Also, I listened to the audio version of this book and the narrators nailed it- two narrators; one for Emmy, one for Tristan. I would highly recommend the audio version when you need something uplifting and on the lighter side.

This book started strong, and I was hooked until about 60%.
But then more and more things bothered me, so at the end I'll give 3 stars.
The main characters were very likeable in their own special way in the beginning, but got a bit annoying drawing conclusions without talking to the other as the story got to the end, especially Emmy was frustrating for me.
There were some nicely done chapters, but I felt no real connection to the main characters.
The two things that bothered me most:
-Emmy's chapters were written in first person past tense, Trystan's chapters were written in first person present tense. It threw me of every time the pov changed, because all chapters were a sequence of events... Emmy's past tense narration didn't make any sense.
-How can two people in their late twenties, early thirties who know wach other for one week, having met twice, forego condoms? It's inexplicable to me. They even talked about it and decided to just not bother because their attraction was so big and Emmy was on the pill. Oh now that I'm remembering the sex scenes... they were not bad, but when Emmy and Trystan began discussing the admiral (general?) it got weird, ha.
Won't reread this.

Liked this one.
Thought it was a fun read.
Both the Hero and the heroine had a rather difficult childhood to put it mildly. No abuse but neglect and them being tossed out and rejected by others. This has influenced them, of course.
Now my problem was that some difficulties weren't dealt with properly. And there was a definite hint that the Hero would forgive his grandmother. DON'T LIKE THAT!!
Anyways, liked the couple, their exchange via email and text. Loved their banter.
Thought the heroine was pretty stubborn and didn't put up with the hero's BS.
All in all, can only recommend

Who knew that you could build an entire relationship via texting and conversations on the phone in a matter of days? I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't read Accidental Tryst!
I loved the characters, their banter, their quirks and insecurities, the way that they were opposites who were perfectly suited for each other—pretty much everything in the book worked for me. This is a slow-building, texting-done-right romance and I loved how fun and unique it was!
