Fate made us brothers, loyalty made us family.

A bond that runs deeper than the Mississippi, my brothers and I might not have the same DNA but what we share is far more powerful. Our loyalty to one another and the man who made us a family is stronger than those bound by blood.

The most sought out sharp shooters in the country, our paths were certain, before one woman changed my life and altered the relationship I have with my brothers.

Ryanne Lockwood disappeared without a trace but her memory never faded, torturing me on the darkest nights. Until a twist of fate leads me back to her, sending our worlds to collide once more, and this time, there will be no escaping me.

***
Justice Creed’s bad boy appeal caught my attention from the moment he rolled into town. For years I watched from afar, swallowing up the rumors that surrounded him.

Until we shared a night of forbidden passion. One that destroyed my heart and reshaped my soul, and it sent me fleeing from the only town I’ve ever known.

Now, years later, he's barged back into my life, uncovering a secret I've worked so hard to keep and it's one that will change our lives forever.

K.C. Lynn is a small town girl living in Western Canada. She grew up in a family of four children—two sisters and a brother. Her mother was the lady who baked homemade goods for everyone on the street and her father was a respected man who worked in the RCMP. He’s since retired and now works for the criminal justice system. This being one of the things that inspires K.C. to write romantic suspense about the trials and triumphs of our heroes.

K.C. married her high school sweetheart and they started a big family of their own—two adorable girls and a set of handsome twin boys. They still reside in the same small town but K.C.’s heart has always longed for the south, where everyone says ‘y’all’ and eats biscuits and gravy for breakfast.

It was her love for romance books that gave K.C. the courage to sit down and write her own novel. It was then a beautiful world opened up and she found what she was meant to do…write.

When K.C.’s not spending time with her beautiful family she can be found in her writing cave, living in the fabulous minds of her characters and their stories.

IT’S MOTHERFUCKING LIVE!!!!! Go get it!!

 photo Review.jpg

HOLY FUCKING VAGINA THOSE CREED BROTHERS HAVE RUINED ME!!!

MY HEART!!!!! My heart is so full right now I want to sigh and cry and masturbate! Fuck, this book!

I don’t think I fully prepared myself before I went into it. I knew how the story was going to go for months but I wasn’t prepared for how I would feel. OH THE FUCKING FEELS!!!

JUSTICE!! Holy fucking ALPHA-MANIAC! By far K.C’s most possessive and alpha males. The way he processed things and how he handled them gave me a fanny-flutter. Not gonna lie it turned me on. I loved his angry ways more than his sweet side and even then he was still so manly and dirty mouthed! FUCK, FUCK, FUCK!

Then there are Braxten and Knox *cue me lifting up my skirt and sitting on both their faces*.

K.C told me I was going to be #TeamKnox all the way but BRAXTEN!! I’m way more into broody blokes than the funny type but Brax TURNED ME ON LIKE A LIGHT SWITCH. At one point I was #TeamBraxten! I bet he is an animal in bed, I mean you get a little preview of what his like in THAT scene…

Speaking of THAT scene, have an extra pair of knickers to hand. HOLY SHIT!

So it’s safe to say I’m a KNOX GIRL all the way. I need to know what haunts him and take his pain away…by jerking him off. I LOVE HIM!

I’m so fucked off I read it so quick because now I miss it and don’t know what to do with myself.

K.C. Lynn’s BEST writing to date and my favourite story by her next to Resisting Temptation!

From the first page I was so engrossed by this story I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. It just flowed beautifully and the writing was stunning.

I loved all these characters and what they represented. A second chance romance that had me wanting to find my very own Justice…or all three of them…at the same time…if that’s something they are in to?

Damn it, why does it have to be over!!

If you love books which are set in small towns full of corruption, where girl crushes on boy and boy crushes girls heart, alpha males with filthy mouths, sweet feisty heroines, a brotherly bond so powerful it’ll make you SWOON with scenes so hot you’ll need a cigarette after and so many FEELS then you need to READ THIS BOOK!

DNF

Aaaand I'm out, eff this for a lark. This makes me sad because I've loved this author's other books, this one is making me want to barf. Just NO on every level.

Now I've gotten my thoughts together and pieced back my head that exploded, for those that needed to know what my problems were .... you've been warned because I had quite a few issues with this one ...

***SPOILERS AHEAD ***

* The virgin trope - I sucked that up, Buttercup

* Her KNOWING he likes sharing his sexual escapades with his brothers - I sucked that one up too because hey he was still single, footloose and fancy free and they weren't together, right?

* Then we got the unprotected sex and unplanned pregnancy which morphed into a secret child - welp, I sucked all that up too ... these big girl panties are getting rather stretched now.

* Then ... after 6 years separation they are going at it like Energiser Bunnies on speed .... without protection, over and over within a day or so of meeting up again. See those big girl panties? They're bloody sagging now.

* Then ... he's glad they're not using protection because he wants her "swollen with his child." This is the bloke that can't even have a civil conversation with her because he's so hurt she kept his kid from him. I get he would be hurt, I totally support that, but couldn't he keep his bloody dong in his drawers till their (non)relationship was sorted? Seriously??

* And the final nail in the coffin? They're together a week ... a WEEK people ... and they let his brothers (who she thinks hate her) watch them having sex whilst Braxton is sitting there having a good old wank and Knox is visibly aroused. They were nowhere near a good place where they had earned each others trust to push the boundaries like that. The elastic just snapped in those bloody saggy dragging and stretched big girl panties. The kink and voyeurism came out of nowhere and didn't fit with the story at all IMO.

And last - this is listed as BDSM on Amazon UK, yet contemporary romance/romance on GR. Ummm does "slapping her tit" count as BDSM, because there wasn't anything else in there that could be construed as BDSM! I ain't no aficionado but even I know BDSM is a lifestyle so removed from the drivel I've just read. Where was the caring, protectiveness that a true Dom would give .... bringing me back nicely to my problem with trust above. Just plain ridiculous.

I don't want to read that in my romance books without a warning. Had there been one, I would've chosen not to read it, but see - I wasn't given the choice.

4 Family is What We Make It Stars ⭐

It's been so long since I've read what I consider to be an old school romance featuring all my favourite tropes. It was so good and the hint of kink was a pleasant surprise!

📌 Small Town Romance
📌 Bad Boy / Good Girl
📌 Virgin Heroine
📌 Surprise Pregnancy
📌 Winning the Girl

The Creed Brothers were always on the outer. Forever mistreated, they finally found a home with Thatcher Creed. A kindly man who took in these wayward boys and gave them a family. However in the eyes of the town they would always remain bad news.

“No one has touched you, Ryanne, because you belong to me. You always have and you always will.”

Rich Girl Ryanne Lockwood has loved Justice Creed from afar since she was 16. Though they had crossed paths over the years, it wasn't until her 18th birthday that Justice claimed her as his own. But in a town full of corruption and bigotry, their relationship was over before it begun.

I never forgot. Never Forgot what it was like to be his. On the coldest and loneliest nights, it was the memory of his touch that kept me warm.

Having fled town, the secret Ryanne hid has now come to light. And even with the anger and betrayal that Justice feels, he wants back what he lost. But convincing Ryanne to return to the town she hates will be the toughest battle yet.

“Love will always conquer hate and no one loves like we do. No other family is as loyal as we are, and no one will fight like us.”

Featuring an alpha hero brought to his knees by a gorgeous little girl that's dreamt to meet her daddy and a baby mama worth fighting for, this book was swoony. Justice Creed will move heaven and earth to make it happen even if he has to take on the whole damn town.

MY REVIEW can also be found on my blog:
KITTY KATS CRAZY ABOUT BOOKS

JUSTICE: Is the first full-length, contemporary romance book in K.C. Lynn’s ‘Creed Brothers’ Series. This is Justice and Ryanne’s story

PAST/FOURTEEN YEARS OLD: This story surrounds three boys, (Braxten, Justice and Knox) who share a bond so strong they call themselves brothers.

To understand the concept of these three non blood brothers we have to go back, go back to where they each had the others back and to do that we start at the group home these three boys were placed together in.

One night Braxten had been taken from the room he shares with Justice, they find him beaten to a pulp, running away these three boys made a pact “We do this on our own. No more beatings, no more pain. We watch out for one another, take care of each other. Like family.”

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

A year on the run had them stealing, lying and doing whatever necessary to survive. Until they found themselves on a farmer’s land in Mississippi, seeking shelter out of the weather until the farmer found them and gave them a safe haven and raised the three boys as his own.

PRESENT: Ryanne’s out celebrating her eighteenth birthday at the local watering hole that accepts people under the age of twenty-one. She’s always had a thing for Justice, she noticed him as soon as he rolled into town when she was twelve years old. His bad boy side appealed to her even though her parents warned her to stay away from them.

She comes from an affluent family and he’s the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks being raised by an outcast.

The night of her birthday he gives her a beautiful present but she begs him to give her something else. One night and only one night. Nothing more.

Most girls get candlelight and roses for their first time, I get Justice Creed and I love every second of it

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

But people in this town aren't who they appear to be, one such run in has her fleeing the town and vowing she will never step foot in it again..Years go by, six years to be exact and Justice has traced her down.

Secrets revealed, love rekindled. A corrupt town gets its comeuppance, revenge, retribution, soul mates.

Justice has been served

Wow just Wow!! A gut wrenching, unique, beautiful intoxicating love story at its best!! There's alpha and then there's Justice he's on a whole new level!! He's going to have your knickers all twisted up, he's a badass gun shooting guy that asks questions later, get up in his grill and he'll take you out, no questions asked. Intimidate or hurt his family and you're gone!! The feels, the swooning, the angst, these bad boys are going to be the death of you!! Broody, alphas, hot, dirty, raw, just epic!!

I'll wait for a few reviews first but if the book is as good as the cover, then, we're golden :))))

Merged review:

NO NO NO NO...

Thanks but I'll just drool over the cover and let the book go to my "nope" shelf...

It already has too many pet peeves of mine:
- I dislike virgin heroines.
- I can't stand people who do unprotected sex and get pregnant.
- I hate secret child trope, as well, where the father discovers that he has a child years later.

But letting his brothers watch them have sex! ???????????
Really? !!!
What kind of a combination is this????

Read my friend Bev's excellent review, please.

K.C Lynn never fails to suck me right into a story and make me fall in love with her characters. That is exactly what happened with Justice, these characters stole my heart and I adored all of them. This book focuses on Justice and Ryanne but secondary characters, mainly Justice's brothers, make appearances and have me dying to get their stories.

I really getting to know these characters and they both intrigued me with their stubbornness as they were ignoring the fact they belonged together. At parts I was just wishing they were real people so I could smack them and tell them to stop being such idiots. Which sounds evil but I mean that in a good way because I love when characters can make me so crazy.

I did struggle a bit with the beginning parts where it was Justice and Ryanne as teenagers. I just didn't fully understand why that was int here since it was so short and not a lot of information so I didn't feel the connection there. It was odd to me that it opened up to when Ryanne was apparently oh so in love with Justice, yet they didn't even talk at that point and then skipped to the big blow up they had that to me just proved how young and immature they were.

The small problem I had with the beginning didn't stop me from loving these characters and once we got to see them in the present I forgot all about that and enjoyed the chemistry they had as adults. If you want a smoking hot Alpha, this is the book for you.

3.25 stars.

This was a nice story but there was one scene that I didn't like and that made me reduce my rating to 3.25 stars. The general story line was interesting and the themes of homeless kids and racism were dealt with in a poignant and heart wrenching manner. This novel opens with 3 adolescent orphans who have just escaped a life or terror and abuse, after the youngest boy Braxten gets tied up and beaten savagely by an adult who is supposed to be caring for them. The boys run away and live as homeless street kids for about a year or so until they are given a home and paternal love from a kind old black man called Thatcher Creed. The boys are Justice ( the H ), Knox and Braxten. Thatcher is a former military sniper and he trains the boys to follow in his footsteps. They all refer to him as their dad because he's the only person who's ever shown them true love, but the people in their little town are filled with racist and social prejudice towards Thatcher and his "sons". They use the "N" word to refer to Thatcher and treat the 3 boys as white trash. The heroine, Ryanne, comes from one of the rich white founding families but she is unlike her prejudiced parents; in fact, her mother treats her like crap and she has few close friends.

The MC's share one night of love making early in the novel, when Ryanne's 18 yrs old and they have strong feelings for each other but Justice's 2 brothers are major obstacles to this new relationship. I confess that I had a few issues with the nature of the "bond" among the 3 guys because they have this propensity to share women sexually ( as in mfmm ). The other 2 guys are angry because Justice refuses to share Ryanne with them. They see his decision as a desire on his part to break the "bond" among the 3 of them. Before I go further, let me state that there is only a mention of this mfmm sharing and the author does not actually depict any scenes. I know this might disappoint some readers but I personally was very thankful because I am not into the menage romance scene. Anyway, the morning after the MC's have sex, Ryanne wakes up and hears the guys arguing about Justice's behaviour. Justice makes a comment that's upsetting to Ryanne because it leads her believe that she's just a booty call for him. In truth, he had been trying to get his brothers to calm down but I still think he didn't have to say what he said.

Ryanne is angry and storms off. A few weeks afterwards she finds out she's pregnant and goes to tell Justice. He opens the door and he's shirtless ( he'd actually just come out of the shower ) and she also sees Braxten and a half naked blonde coming out of a bedroom. Ryanne draws the wrong conclusions and runs away. She's really scared because she knows her powerful parents will force her to have an abortion. Thatcher Reed steps in and helps her. I loved that old black man ! He had the kindest heart and the sweetest soul. In fact, he was my fav character in the entire story; he kinda reminded me of Tom Robinson from To Kill A Mockingbird By Harper Lee. Thatcher knows how the powerful people in that town deal with unwanted pregnancies, because many years ago he had been in love with a white girl called Gwen and she had gotten pregnant with his child. Her parents had aborted the baby forcibly and the doctor had been so careless that Gwen had been unable to have any more kids. The powerful townsfolk had also tortured poor Thatcher savagely: they had mutilated some of his fingers and carved deep scars all over his chest, arms and back. This flashback scene made me cry and I had to stop reading for a couple hours. Gwen was forced to marry a rich white man ( in order to protect Thatcher from being murdered ).

This is why Thatcher is so willing to help Ryanne when she tells him she's pregnant with Justice's child. Ryanne is also angry because she knows that the entire town is aware that Justice, Fox and Braxten share women. She thinks that if she stays then people will spread nasty rumors about her baby being fathered by any one of the 3 guys. I have to say that I didn't like Justice too much at this point in the story, because I am really not into this menage thing and I want a H to not share women with his pals. This was the same problem I had with Shade and the other books in the Last Riders series. It's my personal issue and I am not going to apologize for it because I am just as entitled to dislike menage as another person is to like it. Thatcher helps Ryanne to relocate to a small town in Alabama and he keeps her secret from Justice. The H goes to her parents mansion to look for her but her mother lies and says she's gone to California. The mother also refuses to give him details or an address. The author suggests that Justice keeps looking for Ryanne during the 6 years that pass and I am thankful that no details about his sex life, during these years of separation, are revealed. However, I would hazard an educational guess and say that he's not been celibate because of the "bond" he shares with his brothers.

Justice soon finds out about Ryanne and their daughter Hannah when he sees a letter ( with photographs ) that she's sent to Thatcher. This makes him go ballistic and he acts like an ass about it. The next part of the novel deals with his reunion with Ryanne and his meeting with his daughter. The little girl Hannah is a wonderful character ! She's the perfect little girl. When I have a daughter I want her to be just like Hannah: sweet, respectful, not bratty at all and very very pretty. I enjoyed all the father-daughter bonding scenes between Justice and Hannah. It was so cute and reminded me of how I used to be able to con my dad into getting me anything I wanted by pretending to be the nicest, sweetest little angel. My dad was my tall, brave, handsome hero and I loved him so much and he always treated me like his little princess. The scenes between Hannah and Justice were so sweet that they made me cry again because my dad isn't alive anymore and it reminded me of him and how much I miss him. OK, that's enough crying ! Where was I ? Justice really loved his daughter but he was a bit too unforgiving towards Ryanne at first. I hate how he kept treating her coldly and failed to put himself in her shoes and see that if he had not put his 2 brothers before her then she wouldn't have left and taken his child.

There was one scene in the novel that I didn't like too much and that's a scene where Justice allows his 2 brothers to watch while he has sex with Ryanne. There's no physical participation from the other 2 guys but I didn't like the voyeurism aspect of it. That's just me and I'm sure that there are readers who will give that same scene 5 stars for the erotic content. Voyeurism isn't my thing, although it has happened to me a couple times: my husband and I sometimes forget to check that my dog Harold is out of the room or make sure that he's not sleeping under the bed. Thank God that Harold's too short to jump onto the bed and take a closer look ! Lol. I think I would have given this novel 4 stars had it not been for the voyeurism scene because it was a really enjoyable story. It had romance, angst, heart breaking tragedy and themes that will touch the soul of any person with half a conscience. I think I will be tentatively looking forward to Braxten's story but I doubt I will read Knox's. Knox seems a bit too intense and has a lot of dark issues. I figure his novel will have too many triggers for me ( like severe child abuse and possibly menage ) and I try to stay away from books like that. I hope that Gwen and Thatcher's burgeoning relationship continues in the next novel, "Brax".

I did have a few minor logistical issues and questions like:

How did Thatcher manage to adopt the boys ? They were hiding from the authorities after they had escaped and had ( possibly ) murdered the man who had beaten Braxten.

How did the boys get identification cards, passports etc since they're in hiding?

What became of the investigation into the ( possible ) death of the guy in the beginning of the story ?

"3,5 Justice Stars"

Just finished this bad boy! And let me tell you how amazing he was!

Justice was a possessive alpha male! And I spell that with HUGE ASS LETTERS!!!

description

Ι really enjoyed this book! And all the characters were pretty great!

I like this author a lot and I've read a few of her books and re read it a few times too. Her writing style and story line kept me at my toes. There are so many things going on in this book you just can't wait to finish it and see what will happen. Unfortunately we only get a few information here and there and mostly Justice and Ryanne's story and later Thacher's too.

It's been a while for me to read a really good hero being all possessive alpha male with his woman and this one satisfied that need pretty well I must say. They couldn't keep their hands to each other and their sex scenes were damn hot!

description

description

Their little girl Hannah was the best kid! The cutest and kindest and they all adored her!

Braxten and Knox were another layer of this story that I wanted to unfold and micro analyze. They have me intrigued and I just can't wait to get my hands on them. But I'm a patient woman!I CAN do this! And I WILL! Watch me... ;pp

description

Well it's not like I have another choice you people!

Now my only issue with this book even though I understand the Creed brothers' bond and not knowing the whole story behind the things they did but stopped when Justice started being with the Ryanne, it still kind of bothered me since Justice was possessive to the bone how he did some things. Although some people might find it hot and arousing, I on the other hand was a little thrown off.

Other than that I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for Braxten! He was the funny one, the easy going but he had his demons too.

Be prepared the Creed Brothers...

4 I popped my K.C. Lynn Cherry!

Wow, I wasn’t expecting such a hot book! Are all K.C. Lynn books like this? If so, sign me up! The thing that I liked about this book was that it had low angst but high intensity and interesting plot.

I was on the hunt for a single daddy/ mommy book and Justice took the edge off. Is the cover butt ugly? Yes, the guy looks like a total A-hole and the ciggy is 100% stupid, but never judge a book by the cover!

The book starts off with a bang and it sucked me into the story. From the first chapter we understand why Justice and his brothers are the way they are and why they are so close. Each book will be about the brother.

This is Justice and Ryanne’s story. Justice is the bad-boy in town and is known to be a man-whore with his brothers. Meaning they like to share women, gasp! Don’t worry, the book isn’t too kinky, it just skirts around the edges of it.

Ryanne and Justice have one night of passion and boom she’s pregnant and running away. It was hard for me to understand where Ryanne was coming from. I really did hate she left, but it was the plot right?

So it’s years later, Justice finds out and there the story begins.

I love the little girl and I love the relationship that Justice has with her, that is why I gobble up single parent books like crazy. I love the sexual tension between Ryanne (even though I hate her name) and it made the book like wicked hot.

Overall, this wasn’t a bad first book for me. I do hate that in the author notes she doesn’t know when the next book will be written only because if she takes too long to write it, I will forget a lot of the stuff and a lot of town stuff happens. There’s a lot of characters to follow. I will have to write notes or something. I hope the author recaps a lot in the second book.

Family ⭐️

Ok, so I’m trying this new thing - expressing in one word the book I’ve just read.
For this one, I chose family, because that’s what I’ll remember most of it. The strong bond the three men share (Justice, Brax and Knox), calling themselves brothers as soon as they escape the horrible group home they were living in at fourteen years old. Then there was Thatcher, the dad who helped them when they needed him the most and our main focus, Ryanne - the heroine.

“Love,” he responds. “Love will always conquer hate and no one loves like we do. No other family is as loyal as we are, and no one will fight like us.”

The blurb is pretty straight forward, so read that first, because I can’t tell you anything else about the plot line, unless you want spoilers.
I should warn you that this novel isn’t easy to read and is definitely not a pink fairytale.
The drama will break your heart, you’ll be scared, angry, gut wrenched. You will fall in love with Justice, because he’s a true alpha in his badass-ness. You’ll cry your eyes, but also share a few giggles here and there, thanks to a sweet .
No worries, though, the HEA will patch you back up pretty nicely.

“Family is what we make it and whom we make it with. They aren’t always blood or the people who brought us into this world, but they are always loyal, true and love without fault.”

There were some questions (you can read secrets) left unanswered, some pieces to the puzzle are still missing, therefore the 4⭐️. I’m holding by breath for the next books, being slightly disappointed they’re still not published.

It would be an absolute honor to have you as my guest on my blog too. Stop by anytime you want :)

I am new to Goodreads but have read many books by this author. This book ... I can't even. The only descriptive words that come to mind are TRASHY VOYEURISM. Justice Creed is an a**hole of the first order and completely unworthy of the term "book boyfriend." Let's see, during sex, he tells our "heroine" (I use that term very loosely since she is so spineless) what his brothers would do to her in bed. Hell, he brings her to the apartment knowing his perverted brothers are going to watch them have sex. It is positively disgusting, and the Creed brothers (all of them) need to be locked up for psychiatric treatment. This author used to write beautiful romances. The last couple of books she has veered more toward obscene, but this one takes the prize for demeaning the heroine. Note to the author: Some things are not sexy, and this is definitely one of those things. Also, your grammar needs work. When speaking or writing proper language, it is not "Her and I" or "Her and Kayla", etc. The proper way to write it is "She and I" or "She and Kayla."

I am extremely disappointed in this author. Here we are in the age of "me too", and she gives us this steaming, rotten pile of trash that shows just how terribly a woman can be treated by some psycho pervert who claims to love her. I am really glad I didn't receive a paperback of this book; I would have had to set it on fire and burn it to ashes before putting it in the garbage.

No doubt the author's fan girl club will come after me with a vengeance. I don't care and am not sorry for this review. I will never read another book by KC Lynn and have deleted or thrown out the ones that I did own.

3,7. Esperava mais desse livro. Achei que os personagens não tiveram “aquela” conexão!
E o que foi aquilo dos irmãos? Uma cena que achei não ter nada a ver com o desenrolar da história.

⭐️ 5 "Family Is What We Make It" Stars ⭐️
OMG! Justice was such an amazing read. I devoured this book in one sitting and wanted more. These Creed brothers are really something special and had me completely consumed.

“They all share one common denominator: pain.”

These guys share a special connection based on similar difficult childhoods. They made a pact years ago to always look for each other, but Ryanne Lockwood is about to chance their dynamic.

“Love will always conquer hate and no one loves like we do. No other family is as loyal as we are, and no one will fight like us.”

On the night of her eighteen birthday, Ryanne catches the eyes of Justice. These two have had a certain fascination for each other for years, but without taking it to the next level. But this night changes everything when they finally succumb to this overwhelming temptation. After a misunderstanding, Ryanne leaves town with her heart destroyed.

Years later, Justice is determined to make things right with her. This man is definitely an alpha male to the core. He’s possessive, protective, has a dirty mouth and is scorching hot in the bedroom and outside. He’s surely the type of hero I love to read about! While he shows a badass side, he also hides a softer side he only shows people he loves.

“The need to claim and possess burns within my blood. I want to mark her, make her mine forever and make sure every motherfucker knows it.”

The chemistry between Justice and Ryanne is just perfection. I loved every single interaction they had. These moments were crazy intense and sinfully hot and left me flushed.

Throughout my read, I was intrigued with the way the brothers act. Braxton is such a funny guy, always cracking jokes while Knox is the mysterious broody one. I can’t wait for the next books in the series to discover their secrets.

“Family is what we make it and whom we make it with.”

K.C. Lynn showed once more why she’s one of my favorite authors. Justice has everything I research in my reads: great characters, thrilling action, sweetness, magnetism and most of all heart! Meet the Creed brothers now, you won’t regret it!

I'm so disappointed! I expected more from this author because I love all her books but this one was something else. I couldn't connect with the main characters, I didn't like the pretended tension and I felt like I've read similar stories, like it's nothing new...

Well, this was....weird.

Possibly one of the strangest I've ever read. I'd rate it high end of 3 stars. Did I love it? No. Did I hate it? No. Did it get me all hot an bothered? Yes. But in a total fantasy type of way. The type of sexual behavior they engage in is strange and not realistic.

Ryanne is a virgin at 18 and Justice takes her virginity. Okay, fine. But then they go six years without seeing each other and she is never with any other man. Pffft. Of course. It's never mentioned if Justice was with anyone else in their separation, but it leads me to believe that he was. Which is annoying. I can look passed it, but it still gets on my nerves.

The steaminess is definitely off the charts, but like I said, in an unrealistic weird way. I wasn't the biggest fan of Justice. I kinda thought he was a jerk. I didn't like the fact that when he got back into Ryanne's life he told her that she needed to quit her job, so he could take care of her. My reaction to that is, "Boy, bye. I've been fine without you." But Ryanne is not me and I am not Ryanne.

I did warm up to Justice as the story went on. Not my favorite hero, but I didn't hate him. Same goes for Ryanne. Not my favorite, but I didn't hate her.

Now on to Justice's relationship with his brothers. WHAT THEE F? It's never explained. I do not understand how It's NEVER explained. I get it, the author doesn't want to give away the other two books, but it's left me like huhhhh? Do I even want to read the other ones, cuz that was F'ed.

This story is quite violent at times. And also *trigger warning*...there is some rape mentions and almost rape scenarios.

If you're looking for different and a little F'ed up, I say dive right in. If dark and/or strange is not for you, I would pass on this one.

Absolutely loved this book. KC is a new author to me, but with Justice, she’s now become an automatic one-click.

Holy Smokes this book! My panties disintegrated with just the thought of Justice Creed. Gah! I just had my new obsession - Creed Bothers, and with KC Lynn's, masterful delivery, I have no doubt she'll crush me with just her words.

KCLynn and her writing has been a part of me for years now. Starting with her MOH series, I can't get enough of her words. It is embedded in my heart and soul that no matter how long it took me to have my next fix, I am patiently waiting despite the eagerness to read what she's in store for us. It's always like this with her, her characters and their journey are a part of me. It always moved me , touched me and made me a better person. So to say that I am excited she'll be releasing Justice, a new series? Excited was an understatement. I was even more than thrilled to read the book. I know for sure it's another hit but to experience it was a whole lot of a different level. And I am in awe, as always she did just deliver it masterfully, Justice's story gripped my heart differently from her other works and with Knox and Braxten in the mix you bet I had my heart in a twist but my knickers so damn wet.

Most girls get candlelight and roses for their first time, I get Justice Creed and I love every second of it.

Isn't Ryanne the luckiest woman ever? Gah! Justice, from the cover alone had me. Reading his and his' brothers back story made me hooked to him even more.
He is ALPHA like no other and I just want to sit in his face with my hooha and get off because hims alpha-sexiness just made me want to hump him all day long. Ryanne on the other hand is a different story. Born in a small town with parents as a founding families, I thought for a while she's some damsel in distress in need of a knight in shining armor. Lo and behold, she's a woman with a backbone, a guts like no other and loved hard with all her might. In her own ways, she's a woman with of strength and pure heart. I adore her so much. Together, their explosive chemistry and character development builds up scorching and sizzling with every turn of the pages. I was in the edge because for a while I thought KC Kynn will give us a scene that will burn my fingers while gripping my reader so tight basking all the hotness seeping through the pages. But she did it with class and I for one applauded how she artfully and masterfully crafted that particular scene leaving me wanting and begging for more.

More than that, I have loved how KC Lynn managed to deliver the HEART of this story. I love it not because I was given something that made me tingle and could give me chills but I love it because I was given a story with a strong family bond that defied all the odds and bumps thrown at them. It's a family I want to be a part of because they will live and die for you blood or not. I am in particular have the highest respect for Thatcher Creed. I pained for him but adored him even more because despite of what he went through, he's still got a big HEART. Because of him and his kindness, Justice and his brothers are what they are today. I bet, you'll love him too.

In totality, I love Justice so much. It's my favorite KC Lynn's book to date. Aside from it's the perfect start of a new series, she deliver it fantastically. The writing as always was impeccable and engaging. I laughed, cried, swooned, turned on, fell in love and felt love. I was drawn to it, captivated and haven't put the book down until I was done and yet I still wanted more. It's just so beautiful and so good. Justice took my heart with him that I just can't seem to let go. Damn! I blame it to his ALPHA sexiness. It's written all over him and hell if I wasn't turned on even more.

To KC Lynn, all praises to your brilliant imagination and big heart. I can feel it reading Justice as it bleeds through every page. This. Book. Rocks.

All the stars!!!

“He yanks me against his hard body and takes my mouth in a fiery kiss. Demanding–dominating–and I completely give into it, drowning in my own forbidden desire. “

“There’s no fighting it. This need, the magnetic pull between us is stringer than us both and I succumb to it, letting it drown me in my own desire.”

“Love is blind and knows no color.” ” We are family and nothing will ever change that “

“Family is what we make it and whom we make it with. They aren’t always blood or the people that brought us into the world, but they are always loyal, true and love without fault.”

Justice. Justice. Justice. Oh, how I have been waiting for you!!! I didn’t think it would be possible to love another series as much as I loved KC Lynn’s Men of Honor, but let me tell you, KC Lynn has knocked it out of the park with Justice. The creed brothers have taken my heart and have given me a run for my money. Justice is an emotionally driven and powerful second chance romance and one that I highly recommend checking out asap!

Justice is darker and a bit more intense than what I’m used to from this author, but it is no less amazing. This story is well written, intriguing and will capture your heart from the very first page. This book is the most unconventional of stories. A bond of brotherhood that only the Creed brothers can understand. A family that was made out of choice and not with what they were given. A romance and chemistry unlike any other. A story that is destined to make you feel everything and put your heart through the ringer…

From the moment I met Justice and Ryanne, I was 100% hooked. I fell in love with Justice and Ryanne’s friendship; the innocence and sweetness of it. I loved their interactions and waited with baited breath for the moment that these two would become more than just friends. As the years progressed, the fire between Ryanne and Justice only burned hotter and when these two did finally come together….it led to some sinfully hot moments. I mean moments that will have you blushing and fanning yourself. Justice takes alpha to a whole and I mean a whole other level and is probably one of the most sinful men I have ever encountered in a book. And Ryanne…She was nothing like I expected. Sweet. Innocent. She loves with everything that she has and is fiercely protective of those she lets into her life. Her life has been anything but easy, and she was everything I could have asked for in a partner for Justice.

Justice is one of those stories that you just can’t help but fall in love with. It’s dark, yet heartwarming. It’s captivating and intriguing. It’s filled with love and pain, hope and despair. It is a story of family and finding where you belong. It is a story of forgiveness and sacrifices made in the name of love. It is a story of love; real, messy and perfect love. It is a story that will make you feel everything and leave you begging for more.

Justice has completely stolen my heart. I am just filled with so many emotions right now and am so in love with this book that I have just read. I loved every heartbreaking, angsty, pull at your heart, melt your panties off moment. KC Lynn has once again outdone herself with another phenomenal, breathtaking, yet complex love story. The Creed Brothers Series is off to one heck of a start and I will be sitting here waiting impatiently to get my hands on the next book in this series!!

Narration Type: Dual Narration

🎧 Audiobook Review: Justice (Creed Brothers, #1)

Author: K.C. Lynn
Genre: Dark Romance / Military Romance
Narrators: Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton

🦸🏻‍♂️ The Hero: Justice

Justice’s backstory is rooted in systemic neglect and childhood trauma, shaping him into a character defined by survival instincts and fierce loyalty. Alongside Knox and Braxton, he escapes an abusive group home at fourteen, forging a brotherhood built on necessity and shared suffering. Their eventual arrival in the Mississippi Delta — and the intervention of Thatcher Creed — introduces the novel’s central contrast: the brutality of their early lives versus the stability and belonging Thatcher offers.

As adults, the brothers’ transformation into elite sharpshooters adds a high‑stakes, action‑oriented layer to the narrative. However, the emotional complexity of their bond sometimes clashes with the book’s portrayal of their interpersonal choices, particularly around intimacy and loyalty.

🦸🏼‍♀️ The Heroine: Ryanne

Ryanne’s upbringing mirrors Justice’s in emotional deprivation, though hers is wrapped in the veneer of generational wealth and social expectation. As a member of one of Winchester’s founding families, she grows up under the weight of legacy, image, and parental disdain. Her long‑standing crush on Justice reflects both her desire for genuine connection and her rebellion against the rigid class boundaries that define her world.

Her environment — loveless home, social scrutiny, and the town’s fixation on bloodlines — positions her as a character caught between privilege and profound loneliness. This tension fuels many of her choices, including her impulsive, emotionally charged pursuit of Justice.

📚 The Plot

The early connection between Ryanne and Justice is framed as a formative emotional anchor for both characters, though the execution leans heavily into melodrama. Their motorcycle rides and brief conversations are meant to establish intimacy, but the narrative often signals significance rather than allowing it to emerge organically.

Their reunion on Ryanne’s eighteenth birthday — culminating in a single night that alters the trajectory of her life — serves as the emotional catalyst for the story. Her subsequent disappearance introduces the secret‑baby trope, which may divide readers depending on their tolerance for withheld‑information conflicts.

Parallel to the romance is a more compelling external plot: the founders’ escalating attempts to seize Thatcher’s land. This storyline injects tension, reveals long‑buried secrets, and grounds the book in a broader community conflict that often outshines the central relationship.

🌟 What Worked

• The Creed brothers’ shared trauma creates a strong thematic foundation, though the narrative’s handling of their adult dynamics sometimes undermines the emotional weight of that bond.
• The land‑dispute subplot is one of the book’s strongest elements, offering escalating suspense, meaningful stakes, and satisfying revelations that deepen the worldbuilding.

💔 What Fell Short

• The early Justice/Ryanne scenes feel overwrought, relying on heightened emotion rather than earned intimacy. The writing signals depth instead of building it.
• The secret‑baby trope introduces avoidable frustration, especially since the justification for keeping the child hidden doesn’t align with the gravity of the decision. For readers who prefer transparency in romantic conflict, this may feel like an unnecessary obstacle.

🎙️ Narration

The dual POV structure benefits from the pairing of Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton. Dalton’s youthful, expressive delivery suits Ryanne’s emotional vulnerability, while Hamilton’s deep, resonant tone brings gravitas to Justice’s internal world. Their performances elevate the material, particularly in emotionally charged or sensual scenes, and add texture to characters who sometimes feel inconsistently written on the page.

💬 Final Thoughts

Justice delivers an engaging blend of small‑town tension, found‑family loyalty, and high‑stakes romance, but its emotional execution is uneven. The external conflict surrounding the founders’ obsession with Thatcher’s land provides the book’s most compelling momentum, grounding the story in mystery and escalating danger. Justice and Ryanne’s relationship, while rooted in meaningful parallels between their upbringings, often leans on melodrama and familiar tropes that don’t always feel fully earned.

Still, the worldbuilding around the Creed family, the layered community politics, and the strong narration from Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton elevate the experience. Readers who enjoy protective heroes, deep‑seated family secrets, and a mix of romance and suspense will find plenty to appreciate — even if some character choices and emotional beats may spark debate.

Honestly, I don’t have much to say about this book. It was super fast paced, like our two MCs having sex on page 17 of the book fast. There were a few things that kind of icked me out in this book - the virginity fetishisation for one, zero safety discussions before sex, the FMC lying about being on birth control the next morning while knowing they had unprotected sex the night before… and all of this happens in the first two chapters. I genuinely almost DNFed but decided to stick it out because I rarely DNF books. It did get marginally better however after the reunion and everything settling a it, they go right back to unprotected sex again without discussion - only a quick ‘I’m not on birth control’ in the middle of unprotected sex 🙃 like GIRL GET IT TOGETHER.
The book was well written, I just don’t think it’s for me and that’s ok!

Trigger and Content Warnings:

4 Stars

If you looked up the definition for Alyssa's guilty pleasures, there'd be a picture of this book. Yes I read it in nearly one sitting. Yes it was completely over the top and dark and filthy AF. If y'all have safety triggers, this is likely to trip quite a few.

The story: It gets a little dark. Justice and the rest of the Creed brothers have a very rough introduction in life leaving them still scarred and coping today. Everyone has a secret in this book. The town has secrets. The secrets have secrets. No one is safe. And everything is kind of taken to the extreme.

Justice & Ryanne: He's one of those crazy possessive jerk alphas. She has a bit of doormat-ish tendencies. They are a whirlwind. They don't make complete sense together. But they are explosive. Yes he's obsessive and dangerous. Yes she's a virgin heroine. No they don't use protection. Like ever.

The steamy stuff: This sh*t is hot to touch. For other triggers - these bros used to share. There is some watching. There are OW during their time apart.

Honestly, I feel like this is one of those reads that you will love or hate. This just worked for me and I loved consuming every page of this. Did I love everything? No, I did not. I feel like maybe even one very particular aspect bordered on poor taste. So as much as I enjoyed reading this, it wasn't a 5 star but I had a good time.

Wow!! I just finished this amazing book and my heart is full. It's been awhile since I've read a book by this author and as much as I love her Men of Honor series I have to say that this is my favorite book from her to date. I literally could not put this down. So much happens throughout this entire book! I'm so excited for more in this series! I'm so invested in all these characters and was sad that I finished it so quickly. I absolutely LOVED Ryanne and Justice. One minute they had me in tears and the next I was fanning myself because....whoa!! Justice Creed will have you swooning HARD! I have a new favorite book and book boyfriend. You all need this book in your life. You will fall in LOVE!! So happy I have more to look forward to in this series and was so happy that I got an ARC. I can't wait to find more out with these characters especially Braxten and Knox. Even my favorite character from her MOH series made an appearance. I'll always love Jaxon Reid!! Loved loved loved this one!!! I will be rereading this one soon.

I was so excited to read this highly anticipated book!!!!!

Unfortunately it was not everything I thought it would be! Pftt!

SPOILERS AHEAD...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

...

Ryanne loved Justice as a teenager, he was the 'bad boy' I get that but besides that what other reasons did she love him for! Hmmmmm!

The whole unprotected sex, get pregnant, leave without telling the father has been done so many times! Bored of that predictable storyline, once he finds out Justice is in his right to be angry but then I feel they get back to unprotected sex again very quickly! Err major trust issues apparently don't matter.

The whole let Justice's brothers Knox and Braxten watch whilst they have sex was disgusting as Ryanne feels they don't trust her so this could help with the trust issues! And she wants it too! For Justice to be such a OTT guy I felt this was a joke. I know it was the brothers lifestyle, well when they meet the woman they love shouldn't that make them change! For crying out loud!

Undecided whether I will read the rest of the Creed brothers.

WOW! I am still trying to come up with the words for this review. Justice was one book I have been anticipating for quite sometime. It was worth the wait and then some. I was completely captivated from the beginning of the story all the way to the very end. I loved it. Plain and simple.

Justice won my heart immediately. There was no slow ease into loving him. Nope. Instant. This man is straight up alpha male. Cocky (can back it up), confident, honest, caring, dirty (hell yeah), and so so so amazing I can't even think of him without a smile.

This book was brilliant. KC took me on a ride I won't be forgetting anytime soon. With this just being the first book I can't wait to see how the other Creed brothers are. Cause in this one...I fell for them all.

DNF @ 28%.

This book was an epic disaster. The donkey h is acquainted with the H but sleeps with him despite his reputation. By the way, the reputation is that he and his brothers have sex with the same woman together. That is super gross! Anyway, she abruptly decides to give the H her virginity, NOT use a condom. He tells his brothers the next morning that sleeping her meant nothing, she hears and runs away. Then this moron discovers she is pregnant and thinks she is in love with him because he is such a catch. By the way, the night she sleeps with him, she sees him at a club and rolls her eyes at him. They had no relationship so what made her want to sleep with him?! Of course, she hides the pregnancy and raises the child on her own. Then is constantly apologizing to the H for hiding the child when he discovers her. I was getting angrier as I read so I stopped.
