Stepping It Up

Rate this book
Libby’s new job as a reporter for the Daily Chronicle is proving quite challenging for the following reasons:
Number 1: Her mentor, Dave Chandler, likes to run everywhere which means she has to do the same. Her Karen Millens are already ruined and her new Kurt Geigers are heading the same way. Everyone else gets to take taxis or the Tube. Surely that counts as discrimination or something?
Number 2: None of the girls in the news room seem to like her—even though they’ve never even met her! It’s just plain rude—and very hurtful!
And Number 3: Dave Chandler is a bit odd—and that’s without the running thing. He’s very proud of all his trophies and awards but won’t help Libby get any. He won’t divulge who his contacts are—although some of them sound a bit iffy—and he keeps sneaking off without her despite the fact she’s supposed to be shadowing him.

Cassie Beaumont, her bestie and flatmate, is doing really well in her new job, which only makes Libby feel worse about her own. Cassie and Rob are also really close, which is how Libby wants to be with James Harper—she fancies the pants off him— but he seems very distracted.

She realises it’s time for sorting out her life and stepping it up—in more ways than one!

Liberty Lawerence is stepping it up. Book two in the series. It can be read as a stand-alone however like most things it would be beneficial to read book one as it’s a continuous story.

Libby is working for a local paper and dating a detective. The two are causing conflict and Libby is at the centre of scandal. It’s a light hearted mystery with a little romance and a lot of fashion. Libby is a likeable ditz who has a head for trouble.

News, office conflict and a new way of looking at fashion.

4 stars out of 5. I have the paperback but this book can be read on KU.

Stepping It Up is the second book in the Liberty Lawrence series by Bea Stevens. This is a charming, light-hearted and fun read that is entirely entertaining. This is the second book in the series, but you could read it as a standalone. But, having said that, I really recommend reading the first book before embarking on this read- because the first book introduces you to recurring characters, and lays out a foundation that the series will be built on. Plus, it’s a great read as well!
I loved Liberty, she loves fashion…. And shoe!! She’s also somewhat clumsy, fun, and a little off-beat….. making her very likeable and entirely relatable. This series follows her escapades, with some interesting and very entertaining results.
In this book, Libby has a new job as a reporter, which she had hoped would be the beginning of great things for her. But, things are not playing out the way she had hoped. For a start, she is teamed up with Dave Chandler and is supposed to be shadowing him. But, Dave proves to be challenging on several levels- as he loves to run everywhere he goes; and then to top it off, he sneaks off without her. Plus, she isn’t ‘fitting in’ at the office either, as the other women seem to dislike her. Also, her best friend Cassie seems to have her life on track and is doing quite well- making Libby feel even more off-keel. But, the most troubling thing for Libby is how much she likes James Harper, who we met in the previous book- but he’s just too side-tracked to notice, or care. Not one to give up so easily, Libby decides that it’s time she does something about her situation- it’s time she started Stepping it Up! And what transpires made for some really great reading. I would happily recommend this book/series to anyone looking for a great Chick Lit story, that is light on the drama, but not lacking in enjoyment!
Looking forward to book #3!

Thank you, Ms. Stevens!

This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew me away. This is the second book to the Liberty Lawrence. I hope read this book as a stand alone and I was fine. I will now read the frost book to get a better understanding of the other characters. I was hooked on this book for the start. I fell in love with the characters right from there start. It only took me a little over a day to devour this book. I wanted to know what would happen to these great characters.

Liberty is just starting a brand new job. She is a reported to a popular paper. Liberty is really excited until she meets the man that she has to shadow. She has to shadow Dave which completely ignores her. Liberty goes to her boyfriends house to have a relaxing night but she comes into a shock. She sees another woman at his apartment. Liberty is introduced to her boyfriend’s ex wife. He tells Libby that she means nothing to her but does his ex feels the same? Liberty goes on her first big story and she can’t help sit to feel something is not right. She tries to her boyfriend and boss but they don’t believe her. Will Libby find out the truth or is it too dangerous?

I loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, mystery, and compromises. You will fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. Liberty loves fashion but she takes her job very seriously. She is very quirky and you will laugh at some of the things she does. This talented author will keep you in your toes. I loved all the twists and turns I didn’t see coming. I’m now going to read the first book to get to know the other characters better.

Funny, funny stuff. Liberty Lawrence is some one who I related to immediately "I'm sure I must have lost at least four stone...oddly enough my clothes don't seem to have gotten the memo, though. I'm even working really hard to keep my carbs up..."

At times, this story is like reading a fashion magazine "I pull on my woolen Karen Millennials dress...and Saint Lauren ankle boots". I would totally borrow her clothes it we were friends.

She has a quick whit, is a bit (perceived) clumsy and has a good instinct (which could be debated depending on who you talk to) - she really didn't MEAN to threaten her bosses hehe.

This is an enjoyable story. While I have not read book 1 in the series I was able to figure things out very quickly. The author does a good job of character development and filling in any blanks that might be missing from book 1 to book 2.

I will absolutely continue with this series to find out what happens next.

Stepping It Up is book two in the Liberty Lawrence series by Bea Stevens. Even though this is the first book I have read by this author, and I have missed book one, I have read nothing but good feedback on this series, and knew I would enjoy it regardless of what order I read the books.

Libby is a reporter with a sassy, quirky outlook on life. She feels a bit isolated in her new job, and is having trouble connecting with colleagues and superiors. This story shines a light on so many dilemmas, being starting a new job, trying to make a good impression on the bosses, finding love, and so much more. I had many moments of laughter, frustration on behalf of Libby, contentment, astonishment. I was constantly impressed, speechless and out of breath. Never did the author give me a moment without something dramatic to read. A never ending plethora of pleasure. 4 stars.

This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I found it to be funny and engaging. Her characters are both relateable and lovable. This book is about Libby. She is a sassy, witty character that makes the story flow into what it is. I enjoyed watching her grow throughout the story. Of course you can't forget the attractive James who Libby is head over heals for. Is there a chance for a relationship? Read this book to find out! I highly recommend this book.

Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens a four-star read that will twirl you round. This is the second novel in the Liberty Lawrence series and its just as if not more charming and funny as the first one in the series, I would recommend you read them in order as you do get to meet a lot of characters and you get the most when you read them all, the underlying nuances that you may otherwise miss. Libby is so much fun, I don’t identify with her in many ways apart from the clumsiness and the shoes. Its light hearted and witty and overall very fun, she tells a great story and one you will enjoy.

Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens is the second book in her Liberty Lawrence series. This is a highly entertaining and witty story that is more relatable than you can imagine.
When Libby gets a new job as a reporter it should be the start of something great. However the job isn’t quite what she imagined it would be. She is paired alongside Dave Chandler and is told to shadow him. But Dave doesn’t make this easy when he runs everywhere he goes. Challenged with doing the same Libby is sure this must be against some kind of a discrimination policy. And as if the running weren’t bad enough Libby finds that he keeps sneaking off without her.
Add to this the fact that all the girls in the office don’t seem to like her and the job certainly isn’t shaping up to be what she expected. And to make matters worse her best friend Cassie seems to be really enjoying her new job.
The tipping point for her though is the fact that James – the guy she is attracted to – seems far too distracted to care. Deciding it is time to do something about it Libby determines to sort out her life. If it isn’t how she wants it to be then she will be doing something about it.
I really enjoyed this book. I found that it was so relatable. Who doesn’t go through a time where things are quite as they expected them to be? Who doesn’t go through times in their life where they decide enough is enough? It almost felt like I was this character all of a couple of years ago. The story was well put together and was entertaining from start to finish. Libby was written so well, she was a great and engaging characters. As the first book I have read by this author I can say I was impressed and will be looking into more of her work.

Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens
The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars

The second book in the Liberty Lawrence series is just as great as the first book. This book can be read as a stand alone but, I think it’s better to read the first one too, to get the background of some of the characters like Tom, Cassie and James.

In this book it seems that Libby is in all sorts of trouble and is getting the blame for everything that happens. She is now working for the paper and is going after stories with her partner Dave. She can’t stand working in the department she is in because there are some snotty girls and then Dave she has to deal with, the only bright side, she gets to be near her friend Tom. Libby still overthinks everything, as she usually does, and gets into trouble more than a couple times with jumping to the wrong conclusions.

When she meets James’ ex-wife Suzanne things start looking grim for her future relationship with him. There is a nice loud argument between Suzanne and Libby at a gala that turns things from bad to worse and, it seems Suzanne will be sticking around because she is trying to sell her and James’ house, but she doesn't realize she is being conned. James has to spend a lot of his money and time on this case and it is wearing on his relationship with Libby.

James’ ex wife Suzanne is a real piece of work and some of the things she says or thinks she is owed makes me want to slap her. I can definitely understand Libby’s frustration with the situation, but also I am confused why it is taking so long for James and Libby to push forward with their relationship. I loved this second installment and have a feeling there will be a third, and I can’t wait to see what happens next with this hot mess they are all in!

I have not read anything by Bea Stevens before this novel. I jumped right in because, well I am a huge fan of brit-lit. I had no idea what I was going to get, but I am glad that I picked this up. This is the second book in The Liberty Lawrence Series, though I had no issues reading it as a standalone. Now that I enjoyed this one, I will go back and see what that one is all about.

In Stepping It UP Liberty Lawrence grips your attention from the very first chapter to the last. Liberty, or more referred to as Libby, has a new job as a reporter. She had high hopes for the position, but it turns out to be a bit of a letdown. Dave Chandler is the man that she is paired up with to shadow as training. Dave is not the easiest man to shadow, or get along with. Not only is he hard to keep up with, he often disappears on her. Things are exacerbated when the women in the office don’t seem to mesh with her either. When she needs the support of friends her best one, Cassie, is busy enjoying her new job position. To top it all off the man she has been crushing on, James, seems to be way too distracted to give a care.

After finally having enough, Libby sets out to fix the problems in her life and make things more enjoyable. Will she come out on top or will she find herself spinning in circles? Is love on the horizon?

Libby has a relatable story. Many adults have times in their lives where they just feel like everything is falling apart or not going the way they had hoped it would be. Following her on her journey to remedy the situations she is facing is an adventure you won’t want to miss out on.

Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2)
By: Bea Stevens
5 out of 5 stars

The story Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2) by Bea Stevens is a book that I loved reading. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is a story that is humorous and had me with either a smile on my face or laughing out loud. I love the character of Libby. She is a true woman of fashion and knows her labels. She has a new job as an investigative reporter which she finds challenging thanks to her mentor Dave Chandler and others who she works with. I have to say that Libby is one whose thoughts and opinions are formed quickly. There is never a dull moment when she is around. That she also cares for James Harper is of no doubt. I also loved the character of Cassie Beaumont, Libby’s best friend and roommate. She loves her new job and is one that Libby can turn to when she needs to talk. A day spent with Libby is not always what one would expect. She has her strong opinions and feelings. She is a truly unique person who is sassy and sweet. Read this story to find out how she works with others in the office, pieces together clues to questions that arise, and how her relationship with James is progressing. This is a well-written story that keeps the laughs coming and one that you will not want to miss out on reading. It is the second story in a series and I am looking forward to reading the next one.

Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2) by Bea Stevens

5 Stars

Oh how I wish I had read the first in this series, not because I was lost at all in this book but because I have fallen head over heels in love with Libby LOL This is my first read by this author and I absolutely positively loved it!! There was something about the first few pages that had me completely hooked to this story and I will be going back to read the first especially knowing there is a third coming soon, and thank goodness for that because the ending of this one had me totally frustrated, probably not as frustrated as poor Libby though LOL

This was awesome, I loved the constant action in this book, there was never a dull moment and there was more than one occasion I thought I had things figured out and of course was totally off base. I loved how everything happened and I especially loved the way Libby handled her work situation towards the end, although not sure how all that will play out and what about her relationship with James...So so many questions and I can not wait for the next in this series.

This author writes an amazing story, and it was so much fun to read, and I can almost see all of this playing out on a tv show and even have some ideas of who would play who. I can't say enough good things about this book and this author..

Loved It!!!!!

Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens is the 2nd book in the Liberty Lawrence Series. Although this is the 2nd book in the series I read it without having read the first book. It can be read as a standalone but I’m now intrigued as to what came before.
Liberty or Libby as she’s more commonly known has started a new job as an investigative reporter and has been assigned to work on the newsdesk with Dave Chandler who soon has Libby running all over the place…literally. Does this man know how to walk, or take a cab.
Libby’s real passion is fashion and her dream is to work with the fashion team on the newspaper. I have to admit that her obsession with fashion and the constant naming of designers really began to annoy me. As much as I loved the story, the constant name dropping really got on my nerves. Maybe it’s because fashion doesn’t interest me… I don’t know. However this didn’t stop me from enjoying the book as a whole.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Libby’s exploits in the office, especially with the catty office girls who didn’t seem to like her. Her friendship with Cassie, her best friend and roommate added much to the story. And lastly I loved reading about her growing romance with the very gorgeous James.
This is a quirky, funny read and I’d definitely recommend it to others.

Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series book 2) by Bea Stevens follows the ups and downs of Liberty Lawrence and the fact she has a new job and the quirky way she goes through life.

This is a wonderful quirky, fun, light hearted book revolving around the day to day life of Liberty with her new mentor Dave Chandler, the only problem is that Dave does not take the easy route anywhere, he runs everywhere and when you have an expensive shoe addiction it can become a problem when she is ruining a pair a day. The other issue is he tries to ditch her when ever he can.

Plus, she is not really fitting in at the office and the other women dislike her which causes her some concern, with her best friend currently got her life in order, so Liberty decides to start Stepping it up.

I enjoyed the light heart nature of this story and the characters within the story give a flavour that is quirky and sassy. Liberty's character is complimentary opposite to Dave's with the twists of the story is brilliant. This can be read as a standalone story but the first book did lay the foundations to some of the characters which pop up in this book but as I said its not necessary.

This is a great relaxing, sit back and enjoy kind of book and I recommend to anyone who just like to read a quirky funny laid back book.

Stepping It Up, Book 2 in the The Liberty Lawrence Series by Bea Stevens.
5 out 5 stars

This is such a sassy book. First I loved the character of Libby, or Liberty as her momma named her.. She is such a spit fire and this girl shares my passion for shoes and clothes so we are sisters on a higher level.
Libby has a new job at the Daily Chronicle and what was supposed to be something amazing, has turned out to be pretty much the worst thing ever. First, she is pair off with the ever running Dave Chandler, who has 2 speeds, stop and a dead sprint. Plus he seems to be running off without her!. She isn’t fitting in well with the girls at the office and to top it all off, her best friend Cassie seems to have her lift figured out and has this whole adulting thing down pat.
When all of this seems to be coming to a head, James Harper comes back, and she is still getting the butterflies, much to her annoyance.
This sweet chick-lit is both highly entertaining, and very easy to read. I loved this from the first to the last. I would recommend any book club to place this on their reading list.

Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series #2) by Bea Stevens was a fun light hearted read that was both entertaining and a little bit crazy.

Picking up close to where the last book left off, we follow Libby once again on her mischievous adventures and her quirky way of navigating life. This time she's at a new job, trying to workout a new relationship and trying not to get caught in anything that might get her caught up into something messy like in the first book.

Like the first book, the writing is solid, the flow smooth and the tone matched the atmosphere. I found that Libby had more character development in this book, and I actually enjoyed her character even more. Sure there are some predictable moments, but nothing that made me like this book less. As this is book two I do suggest reading the first book, as there is needed background and character intros that will help guide you in this read.

Overall I had a time reading this book, it was a perfect weekend read that left me all happy and fuzzy on the inside. So please take my high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will fall in love with this quirky rom-com.

Happy Reading

Stepping it Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2)
By Bea Stevens
4 Stars

Bea Stevens continues the entertaining antics of Liberty “Libby” Lawrence in her second book ‘Stepping It Up’. Amusing from the beginning, who will not fall in love with Libby? From her quirkiness to her devotion to everything fashion, Ms. Stevens paints the perfect character for her story.

Libby Lawrence has a new job as a reporter, something she’s always wanted. Unfortunately, the job isn’t what she thought it was going to be. Paired up with Dave Chandler makes things even harder. Between trying to keep up with him (you try doing that in heels), his constant disappearing acts and the office girls who don’t seem to like her what’s a girl to do?

Ms. Stevens pens the amusing difficulties that Libby endures quite well. With characters that are vibrant and witty banter, this is a light-hearted, easy read that will keep you grinning from the first page until the last. I truly enjoyed Libby and her antics so much that I will definitely be picking up any other stories in this series to read!

Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2)
By Bea Stevens
This is the second book in this series and can be read as a standalone, but I suggest reading book 1 first so you have some background on some of the characters and also a better foundation. In this story Libby has found a new job as an investigative reporter and as excited as she is for this opportunity, it seems it's not going quite as smoothly as she hoped. Libby is a smart, witty, and fun loving woman. For the most part this is a very lighthearted story that is also very entertaining. I enjoyed watching Libby find herself in tough but sometimes laughable situations and seeing what she does to get through said situation. She also has a thing for high fashion and shoes (my kind of girl except I can only admire from afar). I really love her character, she is very relatable and so much fun to read about. I enjoyed getting to know some of the characters in this story as well. My opinion is that this is an all around really good book and I plan on reading more from this author!!

I had been eagerly awaiting book two in Bea Stevens’ Liberty Lawrence series, after absolutely loving her debut chick-lit “Best Foot Forward.”

“Stepping It Up” had all of the elements that I adored from book one. Classic British humour, witty dialogue, and a clever and interesting plot that, excuse the pun, keeps the reader on their toes not knowing what direction Stevens will take the book in. And that’s a huge bonus when so many series books are well written but leave you knowing exactly what will happen. Libby was slightly too focussed on her image and shoes, rather than her relationship, for my liking in this instalment - that said it’s a great plot device to leave the reader wondering if her and James will make their relationship work moving forwards in future books. Every hero or heroine has to be a bit flawed to make them interesting, and Stevens has certainly achieved that.
I was honoured to receive a copy of this to beta read, and give it 4.5 stars.

Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2) by Bea Stevens. I loved this book. Its endearing funny and keeps you turning the pages! It follows the day in life of Liberty Lawrence or Libby as everyone calls her. She works at the Daily Chronicle as a journalist but she's only following a reporter right now. Dave Chandler is her mentor and she follows him all over literally running because Dave sees no reason to get taxis, its faster to just run there! Libby isn't learning much from Dave because he's very secretive about everything. Its almost like he doesn't want her to learn. Her flatmate bestie is Cassie and she is doing great with her job and her boyfriend, Libby would like to be more like that. Libby's boyfriend James Harper is a police detective and seems very distant to Libby. Libby just wants to win awards for her job and have a secure relationship with her boyfriend! Read Stepping It Up by Bea Steven and find out if Libby can Step up and get her life on track!

Stepping It Up was a good 4 star read and book #2 in the Liberty Lawrence Series.

Libby has just recently started her job as a reporter, she has a great personality and she loves her clothes and shoes. She is working with Dave who is very challenging to her. At times he will disappear on her without a trace and treat her poorly.

When her job isn’t what she is expecting and her love interest doesn’t seem to be interested in her Libby ends up making a decision to makes some changes in her life.

Will she be successful in her changes? Can she finally find love?

This is my first read from this author and I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked all of the characters. We get romance, mystery and so much more. I had some lol moments during the read as well. This book can be read as a stand alone, I plan on going back to book one so I can get to know all of the characters better. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This is my second read by this author and i liked it just as much as the first book. Its funny and lighthearted and just a breath of fresh air in the mix of books I've read lately. This is the second book in The Liberty Lawrence series but it can be read as a standalone. With that being said, i would suggest reading them in order because there are characters that you are introduced to in the first book that are also in this one. PLUS it is also a good read.
Libby just recently started a job as a reporter but man is her boss Dave a floozy. He runs around like a chicken with its head cut off and often lives her hanging without a word and he doesn't treat her well either. When life get tough she has to decide if the course she is on is worth it or if she should step it up and move in a different direction.
I enjoyed this book and i am looking forward to reading more by this author.
I would recommend this book to a friend!

Four Stars

Stepping It Up is the second book in the Liberty Lawrence Series by Bea Stevens. This funny story is very entertaining and the characters are easy to connect with. This story can be read as a stand alone, and I say that because it is the first book I have read by this author. I will go back and read the first book in this series because I really enjoyed Ms. Stevens writing style.
Libby is such a fun loving character, I don’t know how anyone could not relate to the the thing happening in her life. I love when a book makes me laugh out loud, and this book filled that bill. The witty banter had me staying up late into the night just to see what would happen next. This is a truly delightful book that I highly recommend. I can’t wait to read more from this series.

Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series #2)
By Bea Stevens
5 stars

After thoroughly enjoying the first book in this series I was really looking forward to reading book 2 and I absolutely loved every second of it! I thought it was just as well written and the story was great. I was hooked from the very first page and was completely swept up in the authors writing.
I still absolutely love Libby; she is such a funny and genuine character to read about. I love that she still had her obsession with shoes and fashion. Again she provided a lot of entertaining moments and I really do think the author has created a wonderful character – this is one of those books I can imagine being made into a really enjoyable chick flick!
I am so excited for book 3 I cannot wait to read more about Libby and her entertaining life!!

Stepping it Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series book two) By Bea Stevens
4 STars!!!!

I just found myself getting lost in this book. I couldn't put it down. I found the author's writing style to be quite addictive. I really found the characters to be realistic and relatable. I really found myself routing for Libby. I really enjoyed how the author was able to entwine enough drama and just a hint of romance to keep you glued to the pages.

I like how Libby is down to earth and how her character feels real. The drama that unfolds in the book just adds to it and keeps the reader interested. I also like how Libby and James have their ups and downs and how they really pull out of them and seem to grow stronger. I was a bit anxious when it came to James' ex but it seems that even that drama couldn't bring them down. I will definitely be reading more from this author and hopefully this series.

Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens is the second book in the Liberty Lawrence series .The trials and tribulations of Libby continues in this fun book. She is now working as a reporter for the Daily Chronicle but is having a hard time getting into the system at work. Her boss runs everywhere and she is not feeling very welcome.
I am glad to read about Libby again. She is full of fashion and has a habit of falling into odd situations. This is a fun read that had me laughing at the exploits. This can be read as a standalone but trust me start with book one to get the back story of the characters. The characters are more developed in this book and have all grown on me. Also, the story flows and moves quickly. This is a great read to get away from the everyday. I look forward to more Liberty Lawrence in the future.

Stepping It Up- Bea Stevens

5-stars

Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens is a must read! It’s the second book in The Liberty Lawrence series, it’s my first book by this author, so I can honestly say it can be read out of order as I easily jumped right in to this one with no confusion. I absolutely loved this book from beginning until the very end. It was highly entertaining, funny, captivating, relatable and the storyline flowed so well. There always seemed to be so much going on and I ended up reading it in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down!

I will certainly be on the lookout for book 3 and I look forward to reading the rest of this authors work in the future. I would definitely recommend this book to others!

Stepping It Up
(The Liberty Lawrence series book 2)
Bea Stevens
4 out of 5 stars

This is the first book I’ve read from Bea Stevens despite being the second book in a series. Stepping it Up read well as a stand-alone but I would be interested in starting the series from the beginning to become familiar with the characters, I really enjoy reading these types of books in order to see how characters intertwine.
I really enjoyed how this book was written with humor and lightheartedness while remaining relatable and well written. The storyline was descriptive while being a lot of fun and entertaining. The characters are just enjoyable as the storyline, and again I enjoyed Libby’s wit and sass as she tries to find her way.
I look forward to reading more from Bea Stevens!

Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2) By Bea Stevens. While this is book two I read it as a standalone without any problem but I’m definitely going back to read book one! Because this book had me completely hooked from page one. This is my first book by this author and I’m so happy I found these books. I was constantly on my toes with the fun story, never a dull moment with a character like Libby around. She’s everything I love in female leads. The author does a wonderful job of making a story that entertains and sticks with you well after you finish. It’s well written with amazing characters. It’s paced well, never felt rushed or lacking anything. Nice fun read that I’m giving a five star review!

Stepping It Up, The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2 by Bea Stevens

5-Stars

Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens is the second novel in a series following the life of Liberty Lawrence. This novel continues the story from the first book and I do not recommend reading it as a standalone. She starts a new career in this novel and it was wonderful following her as she adjusts to her new position and also to her new romance with James. There were many surprises in this novel for her. I love her character. She is fun, caring, practical, and funny. Some of her comments had me laughing out loud. This was such a sweet easy romance to read and get lost in as well as having a little mystery in it. I look forward to following this character I. This series and reading more from this author.
