A family is like a forest, when you are outside it is dense, when you are inside you see that each tree has its place. ~ African Proverb
Time waits for no man…or woman. Life moves on, old things fade away to make way for new beginnings. From Black Diamonds, to Uncut Diamonds…to Heirs. A new generation is forming, designed to be more advanced, more dangerous and more intriguing than their predecessors.
In this prequel, The Diamond family is transitioning to usher in a new regime. The Diamonds are back, and the family is growing in unexpected ways...
I'm D. Camille and I am an avid reader and author. I started reading romance books when I was thirteen and since then I've read hundreds. I wanted to write a series that contained the culture and history of the African and African American people.
I like to utilize historical information, science and ancient beliefs. I write for people to enjoy, think, analyze and learn; not only about the characters but hopefully also about themselves. I love to hear from my readers. Write me and tell me about your favorite characters and what you love about them. Me, I love all of them...they came from my heart.
I'm so glad that all of the elite groups of the Black Diamonds and Uncut Diamonds are doing well. I see some of them expanded their family and are still in love with each other now then before. Tara and Diamond seem to have grown into to beautiful and intelligent girls that are coming into their own. The other kids as well are growing and becoming great men and women that would soon take their places in the true Heirs of both groups. Stephen and Tara definitely compliment each other. I'm so pleased that Tara is strong, independent and happy with her life considering the drama she experienced at a young age. I'm delighted in the way Trent and Callie raised her so she can know and become who she supposed to be in her life. Glad they taught her love because it is evident in her love interest Stephen who seem to be the right guy for her. Now I need to see what Xavier is going to do to control this lioness, Diamond. Great story it transitions. 👌ReneeG
We knew the offspring of The Diamonds were going to be forces within their own right, but dang I never expected this. And only Diamond is the young adult, technically anyway. The X-Men, with the way the move you would think THEY were were the young adults NOPE! I hope I am able to contain myself until April, I cannot get enough of the Heirs.
Tara, she was always an adorable kid. Even when she was younger, listening to her mother and staying in her room. I had made up in my mind she was always going to be adorable. And so did D. Camille, she told Tara's like I imagined. So glad that Stephen was a good "little dude" too. Loved all the LOL moments, Diamond and Grandma Carolyn are hilarious. Until the next installment....
Yes, I am a follower and avid reader of whatever D Camille pens. I have loved every story, and Transitions -The Heirs, Book 1 is no exception. This book took me down memory lane, brought me to present time, and then gave me a glimpse of the future. Brilliant! Everybody was on set- the Black Diamonds, the Uncut Diamonds, the Grands, and the Heirs to the legacy. The stars of the show were Tara and Stephen. So, this book was a Love story that was also about Family & Brotherhood. Thank you, D Camille for another engaging, and captivating story. That Diamond though.....Look out!
I'm so emotional , I can't even put into words for Fear of giving the novel away and don't want to spoil It for anyone else. This right here needs to be on the big screen and I will most definitely sit and watch even if it took hours!!!! I love the family ( Black Diamonds, Uncut Diamonds, The Heirs). The grandparents ( grandmother Carolyn and grandfather Justin was just a cute mess). Tara and Stephen I love the way their love for one another was describe (sexy, friendship, instant attraction, respect, and communication ) I had my moments for crying and laughing out loud. If you Had not read any of D Camille novels you are definitely missing out.😃💖💖
I applaud telling the family dynamics and history. It's really something we as African-Americans should get back to, if your family has lost it, or continue if your family has shared this practice throughout the centuries. Most of us have adopted the attitude of keeping everything a secret. Now just think about it, your ancestors are black history. If we don't pass on our own family history we can't blame any one person or group for not telling our stories.
Tara and Stephen were a sweet young couple and yes they set the transition in motion. Finish school, career bound. That Keith just had miss place love. I don't think he didn't love her just was worried about the wrong s***. These men in this men crazy. All the young girl gonna have a lot but that's what family is for. Can't wait for thee Diamond Black , whoooooo Xavier....smh
I Love the heirs transition from kids to adults. Stephen and Tara's love story was so romantic and sweet. It was really love at first sight and he persued her to make her his wife even with forces trying to come against them. I can't wait to see what happens next with Diamond and Xavier.
I really didn't think I would like reading about the babies but D Camille proved how great a storyteller she is. I was immediately caught up like I've been since the first book. I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to read about the spitfire of the group.
Just finished Transitions "The Heirs" and must say I expected for Diamond Black to be the one to have everyone going into assassination mode...well I certainly didn't see this one coming. It's always the quiet ones🤓.
This next team is going to be a force to recon with. I am so looking forward to the next installment, I can't wait to see how the handle what's coming next!
A fantastic start to the new series. It did a great job of reintroducing to all characters from both the diamonds and uncut diamonds along with their kids. I anticipate the heirs could be the best yet given the unique personalities of these 8 individuals. If you had not read the first two series please do so. They are spectacular
Loved the prequel to the Heirs. D. Camille did a great job with character development and displaying how Tara has grown into a beautiful young woman. She has been focused and once she encounters Stephen the sparks are off the charts. It was good to catch up with the Black Diamonds, Uncuts and their offspring.
They're back. The Black Diamond heirs are here. Another well written addition to the family of romance and suspense. Loved Tara and Steph's story and the recap of the Diamonds and Uncuts. I am so excited about Diamond's story. One of my favorite Heirs. Great job D. Camille.
I just couldn't get into this story. The dialogue is stifling with overly-worded Ebonics meant to do something but what? I'm not sure. ❄ struggled to figure out what was going on, but it was too boring and semi-literate for my taste. One star. Started and dropped.
These books keeps getting juicier and juicier. The suspense is real. The plot always seems to thicken. HOMEGIRL...YOU DID THAT!!!! I cannot wait for the next installment....
D. Camille always bring strong black men and women together. I have read all of her books. If you want to read about fine black men who fall with their soul mate along with some action and suspense Ms. Camille never disappoint.
This story was fire and to see how Stephen and Tara fell in love is so good! And to catch up on everyone was nice! The Heir is going to be better than the original!! This story was great and you won't be disappointed. Love black love!
D. Camille has done it again!!! I read this in one day. I really enjoyed Tara and Steph story! Diamond and Xavier ?? I know it's going to be good!!! I can't wait till April!!
This book was EVERYTHING! !! I love to see the children all grown up. Tara really deserved happiness and loved how Stephen didn't falter when her crazy uncles got all in their business. I can't wait until Diamond's book come out because Xavier ain't nothing nice.
Excellent read, I loved the characters and storyline. Stephen and Tara are a great match. It was great catching up with all the Diamonds and getting a glimpse of the personalities of the heirs. I look forward to the next book.
Oh my, this just made me want to re-read the the Black Diamond series. It was so good to catch up with everyone from all the Diamonds, lol! Loved Tara and Stephen. He held his own with Trent and all the Diamonds. Can't wait for Diamond's story.
I have read al, the previous series but this author and I enjoyed them, but this Transition Series takes it to another level. It was different seeing all the characters grow up and come into their own. This was a great beginning.
I could not put this book down. There is so much to relate to. I love the story line. It was an awesome read. It had me in my feelings. I am becoming a very avid reader because of this author. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
Diamond has absolutely become the young lady to match the kid fron the previous series. I think Justice is hilarious, he takes himself way too seriously, just like his dad before him. Hooray for Tara! I am so eager to read about all of the Heirs.
The Heirs is a wonderful start to the Diamond Legacy. I am so looking forward tithe adventures and love that will come through these young men and women.
This book heightened my anticipation for reading Diamond and Xavier’s story. I just know their will be a lot of intense emotions and hilarious sayings.
The Heirs are as funny and will be as deadly as the original Black Diamonds. I enjoyed Tara and Stephen’s story. Can’t wait for Diamond and Xavier’s story...can’t wait for Justin’s reaction
The heirs are gonna be a force to reckon with. I love that Tara was able to find love with Stephen. Keith finally got what he deserved. Tara is truly a black.
