Last Breath

Rate this book
For those that love Pepper Winters, or Meghan March, Last Breath is sinful, seductive and just as tainted. Fall in love with the serial killers. Hate them even as you hope for their redemption. Before their arrival on my doorstep, I'd only known sadness and solitude. I'd been the abandoned daughter, the slave to a vile demential fuelled grandmother, and the football sweetheart hoping for an escape from small town living. They were the breath of freedom I needed. My soul craved the world they offered. In a way, their mayhem was a dream I'd gladly chase. With his angelic beauty, Salem teased you. His sweet grin offered the boy next door, yet he was far from that. HE was the devil in disguise. Sinister and psychotic, Salem held a soul without light. Malachi, the broken man with a damaged smile. Even as dangerous as he looked, I knew there was a softness to him. A soul not unlike mine. Badly damaged but in need of love. Even as my fear tells me to run, I'm drawn to their darkness, I'm drowning in the need to feel what they feel. I want to enjoy the life they offer. We're destined. We were the lovers, the killers… The infamous.

Avid reader, lover of words. To me, picking a book, is like grabbing a movie. If it's wrote well, the story leaps off the page at you, giving you characters that are tangible. I love to make them come to life, and I hope the stories of mine become well loved. I can be found on these other pages.

description~WRITING - PLOT - PACE~
This book checked every single one of my dirty twisted boxes. That is until Setting that issue aside this was a fantastic read. The writing was amazing. This was a pretty quick read and featured three different POVs (Salem, Malachi, and Joy's). The pace was perfect. The plot was incredibly engaging. It was dark. It was twisted. It was hot. It was AMOST perfect.

~HERO~
SALEM & MALACHI... I loved both of these characters. They were f-cked up beyond belief but they were also strangely sweet and endearing (lol). Not to mention smokin' hot together. I loved how with the addition of Joy they became a twisted little family.

~HEROINE~
JOY...I adored her character as well. She was just as twisted and f-cked up as Salem and Malachi and I loved every single minute of it.

description

~SECONDARY CHARACTERS~
There are basically no secondary characters of mention in this one. The entire focus of the book is on Salem, Malachi, and Joy.

~HEAT LEVEL~
Medium. There are quite a few smokin hot sex scenes in this one. It's a menage so there is M/M sex and MMF sex. Lots of sex that includes blood and gore.

~ANGST LEVEL~
None. I didn't find this one angsty at all. At least relationship wise. A few bumps here and there but nothing that causes issues within the trio. Obviously what they embark on and the repercussions of their acts causes some angst. There was no OW or OM drama. Both (anti) heroes had never been with a woman before and it is never said specifically but I don't think Joy was a virgin.

~IN THE END~
Apart from the this one was AMAZING. Ya sure, it was probably a but I couldn't help but be a little disappointed. That said, 99% of it was awesome so I am going to try not to whine TOO much. I love this author's writing, she does dark and twisted very well and this book was no different in that respect. It had me hooked from the first page until the last page. Therefore yours truly is going to give this one two HUGE thumbs up.description

I read this last night. Usually I try to write a review straight away but I couldn’t. I don’t think ‘read this it’s a five star’ kinda review would work lol

As a reader/blogger I crave for the different. I’ve been reading all my life and I get bored with the same kinda reads all the time. Books like this one underline how important blog tours can be. I signed up to review and I’m ecstatic that I did. This is one of those books that will stay with me for a long time. I seriously could not have seen the way the story was going to go. The twists and turns had me wishing I could read faster.

Salem and Malachi are two messed up characters. When they meet Joy everything changes. She’s just as messed up as they are, she just didn’t realise it until they entered her life.

No re hashing of the story from me. The blurb is enough of a teaser for you. If you like m/m, m/m/f and plenty of blood and gore then this is the read for you. This book is not for everyone but I absolutely loved it. I’m really looking forward to reading more from this author.

Last Breath by Kerri Ann is a M/M and M/M/F contemporary romance book that takes you thru an emotional ringer and leaves you breathless with shock right up until the very end.
This book takes the reader on a journey, one that is filled with dark, raw, & twisted tendencies that are extremely hot. The things that take place in this book will leave you feeling like someone ripped your insides out. This is the story of Malachi, Salem, & Joy. The story is told in each of their POV and everything comes off as feeling very realistic. Salem and Malachi are two friends that end up taking a journey together which takes Salem away from an abusive home life when they were just 13 years old. Things didn’t start out bad or dark or twisted but when tragedy hits, that’s when Salem releases his demons and that’s when things get REAL. Then they set off on this journey that set out across the country and wherever they go, blood and death seem to be left in their wake. On this twisted journey, they meet Joy, a girl who was overwhelmed at being the sole caregiver for her grandmother and the way her life is going. Its really from here things get super dark and interesting. I don’t want to give any spoilers away but I want to say there is pain, anger, hope, twisted romance, hopelessness, despair and above all, love. I found the ending to be one of shock. I am not sure why it went the way it did but wow… I think, for me, I would have like a different outcome than what happened. This was not how I saw things going and it left me heartbroken. The story was written beautifully and the characters were written dark and twisted but with a human touch. I can only suggest you give this story a read because it will definitely have you breathless and on the edge of your seat until literally the very end.

My Rating: 4.4 stars *****

Let me just tell you, you better be prepared before you start this book. It is wild, crazy, twisted and down right fucked up.

It is definitely dark and if that is your thing, you need to read this book. When I was recommended this book and was told the darkness, how twisted and crazy it was, I was sold. My guilty pleasure is my craving for the dark side of books.

In this story we are introduced to Salem, Malachi and Joy. Salem and Malachi are both fucked up beyond measures. One more than the other. We learn what has happened to shape in in the way they have become. Their story is brutal, twisted, lots of bloodshed, murder and gore. It’s not light beyond measures.

Then we meet Joy. From the moment they meet her she changes everything. She is just as messed up as them but she didn’t realise how much until she was with them.

This book does contain m/m/f themes. The scenes were down right dirty, rough, hard and fast. It was simply down right dirty I loved it.

We get to see Salem extract his revenge on the person who has turned him into the evil monster he has become. There are lots of other twists in this book that you wouldn’t expect when it came to Joy and Malachi.

The ending shooked me, I didn’t expect it to end like that but it had to happen. So many lives were lost and it’s a battle of how long they could hide from the police with all the chaos and the bloodshed that has been shed.

A new author for me,,,,,

This book starts out as Salem, a 13 y/o boy his being stalked in his house by his verbally and physically abusive father who has decided to slowly watch the boy die,,, but as he's getting to his door, the boy's only friend, Malachi is in his window begging for him to run for it and escape the house before his father finds him,,,, now we have two 13 y/o boys out on the run together,,,, Malachi's parents were not abusers, but he just wanted to escape it all with Salem by his side,,,,

Then the book opens with the boys 10 years down the road,,,, two 23 y/o men who are in the middle of ending a predator's life,,, no, not the animal, although I'm sure he acted like and was one,,, he had taken a little girl from her home and was using her for his own sick purpose,,, Salem was using his boning knife to filet the predator and Malachi was talking with the little girl, Lucy,,,, after the deed was done, the man was dead and they were taking Lucy back to her town, where she turned herself into the police station as the boys drove away, never to be mentioned by Lucy again,,,, these boys are always on the go, stopping here or there, using abandoned places, old houses and such, as a safety as they always hide their vehicle also,,,, one day, they hide their vehicle in behind this building, and Malachi always knocks on the door of these abandoned house to "let the ghost know they are friendly", and lo and behold, Joy, a young lady about their age answers the door,,,, weaning their way in to get past Joy and into the house, inviting themselves for dinner, Joy is loaded down with her life as well,,,, taking care of her elderly grandmother with dementia with whatever she can grow or kill for food, she is stuck, going nowhere, cleaning up after her "Gran", with music the only thing that will placate "Gran", and so sick of eating beets, thats what "Gran" eats,,,, the boys stay the night and Joy awakes the next morning with everything too quiet in the house,,, Salem had dispatched "Gran" to save Joy from a life that was killing her,,,

So, now we have the threesome, on the road to nowhere, with little money and nothing more than each other for support,,,, they take Joy back to Salem's old man's house so Salem can kill his monster of a father and Joy watched with excitement and learned very well,,, what happens with 3 vigilanty young people,,,, all of them loving to kill and killing to love,,,, the threesome do everything together, living, learning and loving and on the run,

It’s not unusual for me to finish a book and be pulled in two directions. Part of me loves it, while the other part is not sure how she feels. This is one of the stories that is difficult to review and my mind is still reeling from all that took place, which is saying a lot, considering it is a fast read. So, I am splitting this into two parts: the one who couldn’t put it down, and the one who couldn’t wrap her mind around the graphic sex. I am not creative enough to imagine those numerous scenes, but a lot of readers will gobble them up.

It starts with Salem and Malachi, whose names are oddly appropriate. The Salem witch hunt is an event that has gone down in history, and hundreds of years later we still are drawn to it, like a car wreck on the side of the road. Salem is a hunter of evil doers. The name Malachi can be taken two ways: the Biblical prophet of the Old Testament who some claim saw the coming of Christ, or the new, urban definition of an amazing man who loves hard, seeks out adventure, is incredibly unique and unforgettable. With his Glasgow grin and mischievous green eyes, he fits the second description, but the way he loves and cares for Salem gives him a soft side that balances out Salem’s need to spill blood.

Salem was horrifically abused by his father, in ways that do not need to be mentioned and the few flashbacks are heartbreaking to read. Malachi is his savior. At twelve, the two run away to escape Salem’s abuse and make a life all their own. Their teen years are not easy and Salem is molded further into a blood-thirsty man with little self-control and more than a few crossed wires. Essentially, his reality is severely skewed, and Malachi supports his dark side, because he loves every blood soaked inch of him. Literally.

Joy’s name is ironic, yet fitting, which I am sure was the purpose. She has sacrificed many years to take care of her grandmother, who is crippled with dementia that leaves Joy desperate to escape. Her past and the hardships she endured are only hinted at, but the reader understands she is just as broken as they are. When these men appear one evening at her run-down shack in the middle of nowhere, Joy shows little concern and spends only a second debating if she should run for her gun or feed them. They all have dinner together. After an evening spent listening to the two men make love in the room across the hall, Joy wakes up to find her grandmother dead and Salem eating breakfast. This is the moment that defines the relationship of Salem, Malachi, and Joy. Some readers will find this moment shocking, others will be intrigued, and the rest possibly a bit grossed out. That’s up for you to decide.

The trio turns into a modern-day Bonnie, Clyde, and Clyde, travelling and killing, often indiscriminately. This creates a very tense story, as you do not know what is coming next. I could not put it down, because I was itching to know how it ended, and just how depraved they truly are. Is it possible for the psychotic to have happily-ever-afters? Are these people too far past the point of no return and completely irredeemable? This story could have gone in any direction, which was what really kept me turning those pages. So many stories have a set ending and the characters are simply making their way towards it. This was not the case here, and you might be as torn and surprised as I was. Needless to say, I was not disappointed.

The story is fast, months pass without details, but that’s okay, since they are following a set pattern of kill, run, kill, run, sex, sex, sex…kill, run, more sex. The important moments are given great detail, which is where my indecision comes in. The characters are unique and fascinating. It is written first-person and seeing their wheels turning from the inside was enlightening. I enjoyed them very much. Even the scenes of slaughter had me on the edge of my seat. It is the heavy dose of graphic menage a trois that gave me pause. They are intense and full of description, yet I still couldn’t quite envision what was actually happening, except that they each have their own way of using her (she loves it) and they enjoy rolling around in a tangled ball of limbs and groans. If you are looking for erotica and love characters who will drop everything in a second to have sex covered in blood, this is definitely where you want to be. If you are looking for a story that has characters that do not fit inside a typical romance and are emotionally damaged, you will enjoy this, but skim through a lot of super steamy scenes.

The rating:

Genre and general reading age – Erotica with suspense and something I don’t know how to categorize. I am an adult and I am not sure if I’m old enough to have read it.
Level of sexuality – Let me state this again, with strong emphasis – this is erotica. Sex is a constant element to the story and is the glue that holds these three lost souls together. Prepare yourself for lots of heated descriptions.
Is there graphic language? It should be apparent by now, with all the bloody gore and sex, that there is some grown-up language.
Did I cry? No, but these three are so broken, it hurt my heart.
Did I laugh? No, this is dead serious. (Pun intended)
Is this part of a series? No, this is a standalone.
Level of character development – Malachi is the most highly developed character. He gets more chapters than the other two, but he is also the most normal and is able to reflect upon them realistically. He knows they are monsters, and longs for more, but he is not sure they are capable. Salem leaves me speechless. He doesn’t get many chapters, but he is such a strong force that I could not help but want more of him. Thankfully, Malachi has multiple flashbacks that shine a light on him, giving him more depth and emotionally tying the reader to him. Joy did not get as much attention. Her history is only hinted at and I wish more had been revealed as to how she became the devil she did. Regardless, she is a joy to read. (Pun intended again)

Part of me was hooked from the first paragraph. I knew it was going to be a bumpy ride and I was ready. Watching them morph into the threesome they did, was incredible. These characters will stay with me forever – the good, the bad, and the ugly – they are unforgettable. The semi-prude inside me was too busy blushing over the sex to fully embrace the story. I highly recommend this to all readers of dark romance and erotica. Go in prepared, excited, and buckle your seatbelt. The ending is perfect and could not be better. Each moment getting closer is fraught with the unknown and the question you will debate over and over: What kind of ending do they deserve? The shy, blushing me gives it a one, because she was covering her eyes, but the enraptured me spent hours anxiously biting her fingernails. For the ending alone, I give it a five, but the modest woman in my mind is still blushing, so I give this wonder ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars.

Last Breath by Kerri Ann is a M/M and M/M/A contemporary romance book that has you shocked from the very first pages till the very last.

Salem and Malachi are two friends that set out on a journey together taking Salam away from an abusive and sad life when they were just 13 years old. Their journey however didn’t start dark and twisted but when tragedy happens and a friend gets murdered, Salem’s demons are released. Together they set out across the country on a dark path of blood and killing mixed with deep passionate sex. A bond between two friends and lovers that makes you hot and on edge at the same time. Along this path they meet Joy, a girl that was drowning in her life of caregiver to her grandmother. Salem and Malachi force themselves into her life yet Joy chose to go with them on their journey when they offered. This journey became even more dark and twisted as the lines between right and wrong became blurred and death and destruction are left in its wake. As the three form a bond filled with deep emotions and sexual exploits it is clear that their story may not end well.

This is the first time reading a book from this author and I was not quite expecting such blood and gore!! However the bond and the love felt between the character is quite intense and the intimacy between them raw and needy. Once I started the story I definitely had to find out what happened next. Of the characters I felt I enjoyed Malachi the most. He tried his best to do right by Salem and to make his life easier. Malachi was instrumental in helping Salem tame the demons inside him. I felt that Malachi loves both Salem and Joy with everything inside him.

All this being said, if you like a dark story that may be a little tough on the emotions, a story that is dark and bloody yet hot and spicy then this is a book you will enjoy.

Dark, Twisted and Sexy - who could ask for more

I love Kerri Ann's writing, her stories draw you in from the very beginning and keep you there. LAST BREATH most certainly did that. It is an unforgettable journey of discovery and debauchery. It's as twisted and dirty as you can possibly get - but that is what I loved about it.

It is a book about friendship, heartbreak, suffering and love. Salem and Malachi are extraordinary characters. Their relationship is very unique. Then when you add Joy to the mix - WOW!!!!! With torrid, kinky and very unusual sex scenes thrown in, this book becomes a real experience. If your head doesn't spin after reading this one - I'll be amazed.

I have read quite a few of Kerri Ann's work, loved every one of them, but this one is completely different. She has brought out a darker side of her writing that is quite simply phenomenal. I can only hope that she has some more of these planned for the future.

Highly recommended, if you enjoy dark, twisted stories that will leave you breathless and speechless.

Twisted and Amazing!

I have read many books from this author, but Last Breath was different. A m/m, m/m/f contemporary romance that has a lot of gore. This isn't the kind of book that I would normally pick out to read, but since I love Kerri Ann's books I couldn't pass up the chance to read it. I actually loved it as it is different from anything I have read. Malachi and Salem are messed up or broken individuals that have formed a relationship. Joy comes into their lives and she has a dark past as well. They all seem to fit together.

I haven't read a book of Kerri Ann's that I didn't like, and Last Breath was definitely a page turner. I read it all in one day because I couldn't put it down. The character development was spot on and the plot flowed well. I can't wait to see what Kerri Ann gives us next!

Last Breath will take you on a unforgettable journey that is brimming with dark, dirty, & twisted tendencies that are torridly hot. It is a menage of MM & MMF sex which includes blood & gore. It will leave you feeling like you were sucker punched! The ending gave a paradigm shift experience. Told in three POV's Malachi, Salem, & Joy which gave it a realistic effect as we get into each of their heads. The synopsis of this novel is intriguing & the title reflects the narrative perfectly. The writing is flawless & captures the essence of the plot perfectly. Heroes Malachi & Salem are fabulous character's with their unstable, maladjusted, disturbed, & mixed up tendencies which complement eachother well along with there sweet side. Heroine Joy is a fun loving twisted soul that is a perfect match for Malchi & Salem who are broken, far gone & beyond repair. A page turning novel that will have you hooked from the beginning & craving more. Looking forward to reading more dark & twisted tales from this author.

This book was unlike anything I've read in ages. It was gritty, twisted, at times gut wrenching & a little bit shocking. You couldn't put the book down. There were several times when I was forced to reread something because I couldn't believe the author had just done something. I loved it from beginning to end, it was so well done.
Salem and Malachi are just looking to get away from a horrible childhood and find a little Joy for their lives. When they do, though things lighten and brighten in their world things will never, ever be the same for them. My favorite line in the book sums it up "All roads lead to home, and all are paved with the intentions of the damned."
Check it out. You will not be disappointed at all.

If you like your books dark and twisty then this is the book for you. Salem and Malachi started out leaving an abusive home when they were 13 which has led them on an adventure filled with violence as they try to right the wrongs of society which is how they end up at Joy’s Grandmother’s house.

When they meet Joy they sense that she is just like them and she becomes the missing part in their lives. The ending is so not what I expected but after pondering it for a few days it was perfect!

This author never fails to deliver on original storylines with complex characters and this book is no exception.

3.7 Heart Stopping Daggers
I had to think this review over as it definitely left me a bit breathless as I closed the pages
This is a must indulge for anyone who reads in this genre
It covers the transcendence of three souls - and it is a journey of complete psychosis riddled with crimson and corpses
All three of our main characters are well developed and provide us with their individual POV's - making for a much more fascinating story based on a timeless question -
What happens when the world dissolves and you live for you? when are you loved for you? when there is no judgment?
this is M/M and M/M/F -
I read a complimentary copy of Last Breath

Kerri Ann has become one of my favorite authors. She takes you on wild rides with her characters, Last Breath being the craziest yet.

This story is different than all her others, venturing into dark and twisted, and I loved every second. It doesn't matter who you are, love will find you in some form that fits you.

Last Breath is an M/M, M/M/F story told from Salem, Malachi, & Joy's POV. It was cool to see different insights to each character and how they viewed what was going on in the story. I feel like I just got off a roller coaster with this one, feeling happiness, hope, anger, and sadness...a whole slew of emotions.

I can't wait to see what else Kerri Ann has in store!

If you're looking for a sweet love story, this isn't for you.
If you're looking for, chaos, blood and guts, or a dark read, this really IS for you!
Holy hell, I loved this book!
It really is a beautifully written dark read. Much as you hate the characters, you have to "love" them.
Salem and Malachi are so awful. Then Joy shows her true character. Put them all together and Last Breath will have you holding your breath!
Brilliant read!

I don’t think i have ever wanted a life changing outcome as I did for this book. When life was shit they ran and made it better then they met Joy and it got better. When I felt I knew who was the craziest someone else would do something worse. I wish there was more I didn’t want it to end.

Last Breath by Kerri Ann is a story about what happens when you find people that truly love you in the most simplistic way possible. Gender, race, psychosis... it’s all irrelevant when you truly love someone. They accept, appreciate, and encourage you to be you. Could you imagine the freedom in never having to be anything but you?

Salem, Malachi, and Joy have this relationship. With a past that has shaped them into who they are today, it’s absolutely amazing to see the dynamics between the three.

Are they good people per say? Well, maybe not so much, but with each other they are a balanced perfection.

Throw in some death, destruction, and fun kinky scenes and Kerri Ann has shown us she has a darker side, and I like it. Please, please, please I would love to see more dark works from her in the future.

5 very bright, beautiful stars!

Plenty of hotness that you won’t be needing your underwear. This book has my heart, my breath and every part of me.
This book deserves more than 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ absolutely phenomenal. Definitely MUST read book.

A very different take on a love story, it’s not pretty but the main characters have battled the pain life has thrown at them. It was well written and flowed well.

I really enjoyed it.

If you are looking for sweet romance, this isn’t the book for you, if you want to read about raw emotions & loyalty that can’t be broken after years of only having each other, friendship more solid then a rock that even the darkness part of the soul can’t break it. This is for you

"I have no remorse in doling out death or damage to those that do it in turn. I feel like a vindicator. A savior. The prince of broken souls."

Last Breath completely blew me away in every way possible!! I loved the darkly woven explosive tale that I won't soon forget!! The hypnotic MMF thrill-ride made my heart-pound and my eyes widen continuously throughout the story. I couldn't get enough of any of it!!

"Yes, they're both dangerous men, but if anyone were to harm them, I'd defend them with deadly force. They're mine to have, hold, and spill blood with."

Pushing insane limits, the Author gives us a gem of epic proportions that left an evil grin on my face the entire time I was reading it. I inhaled the Bonnie/Clyde, Natural Born Killers-esque that made me feel both satisfied and happily shocked, especially at the end when the Author gives us an alternate POV that left me breathless!! Highly recommended for all dark lovers!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!

"The devil created him to look like an angel, his perfect muse for destruction. A man that searches for love to balance the angst that he feels inside."

Last Breath is one of those stories that I believe everyone is better off going in blind, as it's highly original with series dark undertones, so I'm going to just encourage everyone to read the blurb, as I'm not going to describe anything except my crazy feelings. Basically, Joy has dark & twisty deep down, and it isn't until she meets the very dark Salem & Malachi that it's brought to the surface, so all of them displayed tons of layers which kept me on my toes. The twists & turns were everywhere, so I never saw how this one was going to pan out, which just left me dropping f-bombs right & left. I'm a HUGE fan of the brilliant Kerri Ann already, but seriously? She just raised her own bar of excellence sky high, as this read was very original, and I haven't read anything like it before. And since I will start giving away things, which is a big no no, if I keep going, I'm going to keep this review short and just end with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO ALL!

** NOT FOR THE TENDER HEARTED

This journey begins for a pair of 13 year olds from very different backgrounds and family lives. One has the perfect family, love and joy, while the other is the child of a depraved monster who gets joy from hurting and abusing not only his wife, but his young son as well.
A sad story of the culmination of years spent being abused and damaged by someone who in any place would be your most earnest protector. Salem escapes the horrible life of abuse he has had to endure with the help of a young boy named Malachi.
Salem and Malachi are as different as night and day, but their friendship is what keeps them alive, as they travel a road filled with insatiable demons they must control and an incredible love for one another.
When tragedy strikes close to them and another innocent is murdered, the demons inside Salem are released in the only way he knows how, blood flows and vengeance is given.
As they leave the only home they have known in years, these two leave a bloody trail of bodies in their wake.
A twisted story of love and redemption leads them on a path back to where it all began.
Along the way they find a lost soul in Joy, a young woman tending her ailing grandmother who suffers from dementia.
Joy has a hidden darkness in herself as well and is recognized by the darkness in Salem and Malachi. As she joins them on their journey borne of Blood,Justice, Punishment, Vindication, Redemption and Avenging Need they face emotion, loss, longings and deep sexual comfort in one another. Never before have they felt as whole as they do together.
A trio of avenging angels with a dark streak that seeks vengeance for not only the innocent and weak, but for themselves as well.
A dark and twisted romance that holds you in awe as you cannot turn away from their story. The characters have their own intricacies that build for an amazing read. A Well written interwoven story of sadness and violence.

When I first opened this book, I didn't know what to expect. I was told it was dark, told it was unlike anything I've ever read, that it would change what I knew of dark romance. And honestly, I had my doubts. I always do when I go into a 'supposed' dark read. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a dark romance junkie so I'm picky when it comes to what I read. I need a book to blow me away, to reach into the deepest, darkest parts of my soul and make it sing! And I'll be damned, if it didn't do a little skip as well.

Such a fulfilling read. It's unlike anything I've ever read and I devoured it like a fat kid on cake. This story is psychotic, it's deranged and so gruesomely sexual, it will drive you crazy! You never know what will happen next but what does continues to twist you around in circles. I don't know if you've read the blurb but it's a dark romance with a menage feel that exceeds all expectations.

It's a book so good, I know once people start to read it, it will destroy this community. Two men who are running from their childhood and the horrors of their past, all the while taking vengeance, one psychotically deranged move at a time, with one thing missing they don't even know about it. Until, while searching for refuge for the night, they come across Joy. Who would have known the events that transpired after their meeting that fateful night? Get ready for a wild ride that will leave you gasping for breath. It's the kind of book you have nightmares about but simultaneously feel heart flutters for. Definitely recommend this!

“Whispering by my ear, he says, “You’re ours now, Joy. No one will ever treat you as anything less than a queen.”

Holy smokes that was a crazy wild ride! This book was pretty insane and very dark. This is a story of three heavily disturbing and twisted people that find each other. Salem may look like an angel but he is more like the devil himself. He is continuously abused as a kid and it turns him into a psycho vigilante. Malachi is Salems savior. He takes him away from his abusive father and they run away. Malachi is pretty twisted himself but he is able to handle Salems insanity. When they stop at what looks like an abandoned shack they get quite the surprise to see a woman and her elderly grandma. Joy has always been different. She feels a monster is locked inside her but she is stuck taking care of the last person in her family. When all three of them embark on a journey it is filled with carnage, depravity, blood, and death. I would only recommend this book to someone who enjoys/handles dark books as it was intense. Also just a fair warning I would not consider the ending an HEA/HFN.

Wild ride

Salem, Malachi and Joy's story was like nothing I have ever read before. This definitely is not for the faint hearted. From the start I was taken on such a wild ride that I could not put this book down. It was dark, twisted and suspenseful. It took turns I did not see coming. The writing and characters were on point and at no time was there any confusion as to what was going on. Each point of view flowed from one character to the next. Cannot wait to read more from this author.
