Any parent can tell you how difficult it can be to travel with young children. Even the best child can have difficulty sitting in a seat for hours, on a plane or in a car. In this new book, Rachel Peachey offers tips and activities to keep your child learning while travelling. ‘Montessori on the Go’ is a unique guide, carefully designed for fast, easy implementation of learning activities while on the go, inspired by the incredible teaching methodology developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. Dr. Montessori’s child-led teaching methods, though developed over 100 years ago, have gained recent popularity as Montessori schools are appearing increasingly worldwide, and are being incorporated in home-based learning by commoners and royalty alike. Take advantage of the long hours spent travelling with your child. Use this time to keep your child engaged in learning, with Montessori inspiration.
Rachel is a Montessori teacher, freelance writer, mama and wife. Currently she works from home to spend more time with her 3 year-old-son and 1-year-old daughter. In her free time, she volunteers at the library she helped begin at the local church where she lives in a small town in Guatemala. She also loves watching volcanic explosions from her rooftop, crafting, cooking & baking, going for the occasional jog and being with her family.
