Even though I have read all the books in this series, I haven't really felt like I understood Hailey. It has been very easy to see her as simply what Josh calls her -- a princess. I mean, she works very hard and is very loyal, but she matches her dog's ribbons to her own clothes, for pity's sake. We have gotten some peeks at her backstory, but I wasn't sure what to expect from her. She was funnier than I expected. Her inner monologue was conflicted much of the time, though, and I wondered if she would ever she how much like her mother she was behaving with Josh.
Josh, on the other hand, gave me pretty much what I expected. Once he decided to go for Hailey, he was all in. He was sweet and hot and funny. He comes up with some lovely lines and insights into Hailey.
In fact, I think we see Hailey more clearly through Josh's eyes. He sees Hailey's warrior spirit and calls her his equal. He ends up bringing out the best in Hailey. I was a little disappointed that the book ended when it did because Hailey was just settling down and becoming comfortable in the relationship, and I was pretty sure I would like her much more that way. But then I saw that there is a sequel to this book! It sounds terrific, and I am looking forward to more Hailey and Josh.
Overall, this was a fun read with a snappy pace. I also think it has the best "I love you" exchange between two characters that I have ever seen. It fit these two perfectly.

WOW was that worth waiting for!

As I've said before in my reviews for this series, Kylie is an evil genius; she introduced me to Josh and Hailey in book 1 and slllllllllowwwwlllly drew out the tension simmering between them OVER 9 BOOKS. But it seriously didn't make me mad. I was, like, chomping at the bit, craving any interaction between them. And THEN, she makes me wait until book 10 to see what happens with them! AND I LOVED IT. Evil. Genius.

I saw a very different side to Josh than in previous books. And he tried so hard to be the man he wanted to be and that Hailey wanted him to be.

And THEN, a real-life Prince Charming shows up, goes after Hailey and gives Josh a run for his money.

This was just one of those books (and series) that made me want to move to Clover Park and join the book club and be best friends with everyone. But at the same time, the heat level in these feel-good books is off the charts! It's like a perfect balance.

I know one book is left in the series, and I am SO excited to see what Kylie writes next!

Kylie never disappoints! Follow the story of Hailey & Josh, who fight non stop, as they are picked to be maid of honor & best man when their parents get married!
Hailey loves her wedding business but she's wondering when it will be her turn to find her happy ever after, as all her friends in her book club are. Will she ever find true love?
Josh has been trying to buy the bar he runs, he needs that to prove himself worthy of the love he realizes he wants from Hailey. When another man, who has more to offer Hailey comes to town and tries to woo her, will it be too late for Josh?
I absolutely loved Josh & Hailey's story! So well deserved for both of them! 5 stars for this one, don't miss this amazing book!!

An Inconvenient Plan charmed it's way onto my favorites shelf with an enchanting sense of humor and an overabundance of heart. The best kind of surprises are the ones we never saw coming, but have been there all along. Gilmore and her quirky characters make Valentine's Day an all year round event. A delightful tale from an unforgettable series.

Hailey is well on her way to making a name for herself as a wedding planner. She is well known as a matchmaker, even started Happy Endings Book Club where she put her matchmaking skills to work, but now it's time for her to finally focus on her own happy ending. After several embarrassing rejections from her frenemy Josh the unexpected happens when a handsome prince arrives to help plan his sister's wedding. Hailey is smitten by his charismatic smile and thoughtfulness and it isn't long before things escalate romantically and Hailey believes the fairy tale she always wanted is finally happening for real.

Josh Campbell has been burned by the glamour girl, beauty queen type too many times already and although he can't seem to stop himself from teasing, aggravating and annoying Hailey Adams, he also knows he can never be the romantic fantasy she thinks all men are. Yet, when competition arrives in the form of Hailey's perfect fantasy come to life he sets out to prove Prince Phillip is not the man for her. But, can Josh become the man Hailey wants and needs before it's too late? And of course, there is Hailey's growling little purse dog he must win over as well.

I have been anxiously waiting for this book for months! Hailey and Josh's antagonistic relationship finally comes full tilt in this Happy Endings addition to the series. Although you can read each individually you will get the full effect and build up of Josh and Hailey's relationship if you read some of the previous books.

I enjoyed finally reading Hailey and Josh’s story in An Inconvenient Plan by Kylie Gilmore, the tenth book in her Happy Endings Book Club series. Hailey and Josh have been fighting since book one, all over a lack of understanding and communication. Hailey felt rejected after dropping it all and suggesting to Josh that they get it on and he told her no. Josh knew that Hailey wanted to be wooed the old-fashioned way and that is what he will do before he gets her into his bed. Before these two can find their happiness they have to deal with his dad and her mom’s engagement and wedding plans, getting Hailey’s dog to like Josh, the flirtations of a prince toward Hailey, and Josh finally buying his long dreamed of bar. Despite the challenges Josh tries to be the man Hailey wants but he tends to be quite alpha and caveman-like, telling Hailey she’s his which just pushes her buttons. I struggled with Hailey’s expectations of Josh. She continually sent him mixed messages and despite telling him over and over that sex wasn’t the answer, she was often in his bed for sexy times.

Ms. Gilmore is a wonderful story teller and wrote a wonderfully emotional and moving story filled with sexual chemistry, fun dialogue, and endearing characters that is not to be missed. I’m glad she provided a happy ever after for Josh and Hailey, and their parents, giving Hailey the family and siblings she so desired. I highly recommend this book to other readers.

I can't believe we're at the end of this series!

Longtime fans of the Happy Endings Book Club series were FINALLY rewarded for the long wait! We caught a glimpse of Josh and Hailey's epic frenemy battle all the way in book one, and each book after that, we were given more and more. A tease, a hint, a promise of things to come, but with each new book, it wasn't Josh and Hailey's time yet. GAH! Talk about anticipation!

An Inconvenient Plan was everything I hoped it would be! I love how when Josh realized Hailey was his equal, he did his best to make things right after all this time. Oh, but add in the little mishaps, the way Hailey took everything he did and turned it into something else, because she couldn't believe all of a sudden Josh wanted to be nice to her.

The sexual tension in this book is sizzling. I adore Josh. We got a deeper side to him in this book. Hailey, too. I've always thought she was a high maintenance woman, and in some ways, I do believe she is, but there were new sides to her shown in this story, too. She has her own insecurities that she doesn't like to show. Sometimes, I think she's just a little too much, but it doesn't mean I don't understand some of the reasons she does what she does. It was killing me when Josh put his heart out on the line and she just wasn't getting it yet.

Oh, but when she did? Yessss!

As usual, this book is full of witty banter, touching moments, steamy scenes, bonding friendships, and love. Kylie Gilmore may have kept us waiting for what feels like forever, but this story is so worth the wait! These characters aren't perfect, but their road to happily ever after makes them so real, because they will do great things, annoying things, and crazy things, but isn't that what life is all about?

If you couldn't tell by now, I highly recommend this book. Looking forward to whatever else Ms. Gilmore has in store!

The most antecipated Happy Ending for this couple! Hailey and Josh have been taunting each other for years already. Even her dog seems to hate him. But all their friends think they should solve this mishmash by giving in to the huge sexual tension between them. After a terrible night at his home and the fact that their parents are dating and moving in together, Hailey falls apart. She feels as if being the romantic love junkie she is, fate didn´t reserve love to happen on her life. But only the next day she receives a contact from the Prince of Villroy wanting to hire her to help with his sister american wedding. Josh then realizes that "princess" will now find her prince and his feelings for her become overpowering. In this story we are able to admire even more Hailey for her strenght, great values and ability to overcome her own fears and let love take the lead. Josh on the other hand, shows us he is more than a jock wanting to flirt and have a good time with a beauty, but also that he takes love and family seriously and puts himself last. It´s wonderful to get to know them on a deeper level and witness their love bloom. A must read with a lasting taste for more!!

This was the most anticipated book of the series and I found it difficult to read in the beginning - mainly because the story kept backtracking to previous plots found in the other books in the series. I understand why the author did this but it was frustrating for someone who has read the books in order and knew the story-line (like me)! That aside, once the plot was set, I found it easier to read but at the same time was disappointed with the camaraderie relationship between Hailey & Josh - particularly Hayley was frustratingly annoying. Gone was the person described in the previous books - the outgoing, sarcastic, snarky individual and in replace was a depressed, whiny girl.

But this did not stop me from reading the novel! I have been a fan of this series from the beginning and perhaps it was the build up to this relationship that made me think this story would outdo all the other books in the Happy Endings Book Club series but book 2 'Inviting Trouble' and book 3 'So Revealing' would have to be my favorites!

Regardless, I still enjoyed it and will look forward to the surprise wedding series in the New Year (although that cannot be released fast enough)!

This is one of those books that drove me crazy. For the past nine books I have been waiting for Hailey and Josh, the most popular frenemies in Clover Park, to call a truce and give into their hot chemistry. Their road to togetherness was more bumpy than smooth. Not only were they dealing with becoming a blended family, but they were also dealing with some dark pasts.
 
Throughout the series, we only saw glimpses of what made these two characters who they were.  You saw Hailey as the former beauty queen who is a firm believer in love. She is the matchmaker extraordinaire the self-proclaimed Love Guru.  Josh is a former soldier who returned to Clover Park to be near his family. He is the hot bartender at the local bar called Garner's.  He is always there for others especially family but chooses to keep his issues or problems to himself.
 
This book lets us see who these characters are and what makes them perfect for each other. Kylie did a great job giving us their story.  I feel in love with them all over again.
 
This series and book are a must read.

I knew it would happen, the Hailey and Josh drama was drawn out way too long and in the end the progression from enemies to lovers just wasn’t believable. The series as a whole really lost steam about halfway. It got to where we quit really seeing much of the whole group, family get togethers became nonexistent and we were just told about what a close family they were. The whole thing with Joe and Brandy was just weird and all the extra stuff with the prince that was just a cross over to promote another series simply got in the way and didn’t really make sense. All the characters started to sound the same, different storylines but I started to confuse all the characters because nobody had a unique voice. I’m not sure how I finished them all but it left me wishing they had been better. I love big family series books but these just always felt rushed and monotone like they were being churned out quickly instead of really getting into each character.

FINALLY!!!!

If you have been reading this series this is the one you have wanted since the first book. Josh and Haley have been pure fire the whole series and finally getting their story is amazing.
Josh has been fighting what he has wanted for a while and Haley has reacted to him the only way she knows how Jab for Jab. But when it finally hits Josh that he can’t fight it any more and he decides to change tactics and go on offense he finds there is a little more for him to fight through than he though.
Both Haley and Josh have some issues they need to sort through and together is the only way if they can just understand a little more about what the other needs.
Must read book but if you have not read the series I so recommend you start at the beginning it is well worth every page.

I have been anticipating this book FOREVER!! Josh and Hailey FINALLY get their story and I LOVED IT!! The lengths Josh goes through to win over Hailey's dog are sometimes comical. And his grand romantic gesture at the end just melted my heart.
Ms. Gilmore once again drew me into the story with her well thought out characters, comical situations and of course....the journey to realization of Love. NOW I have to wait again for the next book.... A Happy Endings Wedding!! UGH!!
I Highly recommend this book...which can be read independently, but I think you would enjoy it more if you start at the beginning and read ALL of the books in the series, reading about how all of the characters come together and reach their own HEAs.

"It was about time!" I borrowed Mads words from the Inconvenient Plan by Kylie Gilmore. It is the 10th book in the Happy Endings Book Club Series and the build up to the Hailey and Josh relationship. Hailey and Josh love/hate relationship is tested when they become the best man and maid of honor for their parents. Hailey a wedding planner and Josh the manager of Gardner's where their parents want to hold the wedding reception. You will enjoy reading about the conflicts an the sexual tension between Hailey and Josh. I highly recommend reading
Inconvenient Plan by Kylie Gilmore and all the Happy Endings Book Club Series books you will love them. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

For those of us who have read all the Happy Endings books, this one has been the one we have all be waiting for. Josh and Hailey have been in every book and their "frenemies" relationship of bickering, teasing and one-ups-manship has been fun to watch.

Now, they are faced with becoming step- siblings as their parents have become engaged. How are they going to handle this development? With their usual bickering and sassiness? And throw in a prince who is showing interest in Hailey and what you have is a recipe for disaster!

Or is it...? Will Josh and Hailey finally face their feelings and their fears and chase their HEA? No spoilers here so you will have to read the book to find out.

This was definitely worth waiting for and I loved every minute of it!

Slow burn romance!

Hailey and Josh have been fighting each other for years! And now they learn Josh’s father and Hailey’s mother have been dating and are engaged to be married! Josh’s father asks Josh to mend fences with Hailey for the sake of family peace. This was the same time that Josh finally realizes, he and Hailey are meant to be together. Now he just has to convince her! When a real life prince shows an interest in Hailey, Josh needs to step it up to prove to her he’s relationship material and he’s the one for Hailey.

This was a slow burn, romantic story with very likeable characters! Recommended for an entertaining read!

If you are a fan of Happy Ending Book Club you would have been waiting forever for Hailey and Josh story. I figured they would either combust and explode as one or it would be so much they would have to accept it and go their separate ways. What I was not counting on the understanding Josh so completely. His drive, his growth, and his mission. He understood his FUBAR and when he knew his dream wasn't complete without his equal. The warrior in him needed a warrior in return.

This story was funny, sexy (maybe Kylie sexiest), and pull of doubt. I think what pulled me in and held me tight was Claire role and guidance. No favoritism just truths. #TeamJosh all the way.

An Inconvenient Plan by Kylie Gilmore was a Book I couldn’t wait for I have absolutely loved these two characters Josh and Hailey they have had some really great bantering throughout this series and finally they have their own book and OMG I have to say this may be my favorite. This was a fun and entertaining story and to watch two people grow so much was enjoyable. This book has plenty of ups and downs that just keeps you hooked and wanting more. I absolutely love and recommend this great book. If you love characters with a whole lot of personalities this is the story for you. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This book is a long waited for this series. We have been watching Hailey and Josh throughout all the other Happy Ending books. These characters are so real and well developed. This story had me laughing so hard with all the antics that these two get up while trying to navigate their budding relationship.

Josh wants to bury the hatchet with his one of the customers at the bar he works at. But how to get her to see to his reason.

Hailey wants the fairytale. Romance love notes and everything else.

But will a prince come between them. Can they finally get over their differences and wok something out between them?

I just... Wow.
I don't even know how to describe how much I loved Josh and Hailey's story.
I've been waiting for this one since the first time I was introduced to them in book 1, and Kylie Gilmore has NOT disappointed in her delivery of their Happy ending.

We learn a lot more about why Hailey is the way she is, and also about Josh and what he thought of Hailey for all those years.
God, it was fantastic.
A sweet and funny read, and filled with tender romance.

I can't wait for the next book!!!

A heartwarming, fun, sexy and thrilling romantic journey that has been a long time coming.... Hailey and Josh's happy ending is everything it promised to be and so much more.... I will be the first to admit that I have loved their fights so much over the span of the entire series and am a little sad to see that change, but am at the same time completely in love with the way the fall in love. We have waited so long for this and it was worth it on so many levels. So excited that the wedding will get its own book, can't wait to read all about it.

If you've devoured the other books in the Happy Endings Book Club series like I have, you've been wondering will Hailey and Josh get together or kill each other. The sparks between them have been undeniable as we've watched each and every member of perhaps the world's coolest book club achieve their happily ever after in books one through nine. This talented author has been amazing at buliding up the suspense. I don't dare say anything more to ruin her hard work. So I'll leave you with this... they say patience is a virtue for a reason. You won't be disappointed!

How long does it take two equals to get it together to find an HEA? WAY TOO LONG! Hailey and Josh have been fighting this thing for years. But once Josh was in, he was ALL IN! He just didn't know what to do. But he did have some awesome lines, even if he didn't know it. This was a fun dance to read, even if I wanted to smack them both through most of it. I can't wait to read about their wedding misadventures!

I liked the story overall, and Josh is great. He is kind, protective, and puts up with all of Hailey's bs. I never really liked Hailey, and her book confirmed my feelings. She is self centered and too defensive. She treats Josh horribly even when it's obvious he is joking with her. The situation with the prince is all her fault, wanting Josh fit into her definition of a fairytale. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Hailey & Josh don’t seem like a good match at all. He’s laid back & easy going, except with Hailey. She seems up tight & rigid in her plans but she’s always there for her friends, except for Josh. They do strike sparks off each other & the chemistry is apparent between them. I really enjoyed the snapshots of the other characters & their lives interspersed with Hailey & Josh’s drama. Each story is related within a book but since they are set in the same town, the reader continues to get updates.

What a great ending to a spectacular series!! As we read each book in this series, we were totally obsessed with Hailey Adams and Josh Campbell's final pairing!! Loved the tug and pull from this couple and how they clashed but when they were in sync the fireworks were fabulous!! Could not put this book down..loved that Josh had a prince to deal with when trying to win over Hailey!! Can't wait to read about their wedding in the next book!! I will be sad to see this series end!!

Great Romantic Series!

I've finished all 10 and just found out there's one more! Yay! 10 love stories where the guy or girl is clueless at the beginning on how much they love the other, and eventually overcoming all odds and misunderstandings . It baffles and pleases me that this author came up with 10 separate, interesting and believable plots. These Books were fun! And sexy!😉

9 books of build up didn't really pay off... (of course I didn't read all nine. I read the first one then skipped to this one because I liked their chemistry. Turned out they didn't get together for a couple of years because... *shrug* they didn't know how to or something?) And they'd both been sleeping with other people all that time- not particularly heartwarming.

These characters...

I just didn't like the main characters. I have been reading this series, anxiously waiting for this final book... and they are just the 2 whiniest, brattiest, most awful couple ever.
What do they even see in each other?? How do they even get over their own BS to get together?? It makes no sense and it just made me mad.
