TWhen the Galaxy calls, do you have the courage to answer?

Ava Landyn never thought she had what it took to be a warrior. She's smaller than the others, but she had spirit. She had purpose.

When a recon mission goes horribly wrong, Ava and her team discover evidence about illegal nanocyte experimentation tracing back to her home planet. To make matters worse, people are going missing, and no one knows why.

As a natural telepath, Ava is the FDG’s best chance to get answers through an undercover mission in a secure lab.

With mounting evidence that the high-tech company is not what it seems, Ava is torn between her home and her loyalties to the FDG as she struggles to prevent the star system from plunging into interplanetary civil war.

Complete the mission. Never stop fighting. Join Ava in her fight for justice!

I have always loved science fiction--books, movies, shows and games. If it involves outer space, even better!

Most of my writing is character-driven, which traces back to my time as a Psych major in college. I love to blend science and fantasy, especially when it comes to metaphysical abilities.

As a full-time author, I currently live in Portland, Oregon, with my husband. When I’m not writing, I enjoy travel, wine tasting, binge-watching TV series, and playing epic strategy board games.

I really wasn't sure what to expect from this book, and I'm happy to say that what I found was very much worth the read.

This is set in the Etheric Empire, and the main character, Ava, is a telepath who is a part of the FDG - which made me so happy, as I love reading about those guys and gals!

Ava is a Coraxan, a planet that is part of the Alaxar Trinary, three planet that were settled by a mix of Humans and Torcellans.

The other two planets: the Alucian Alliance, and the Nezaran Coalition, have been getting on more of a war footing with each other, because Nezar, the more aggressive planet, wishes to stay isolated, as they sit just outside of the Federation, but Alucia wishes to sign up with the Federation.

Ava, as a part of a Covert Ops team, comes across information, that leads to a research lab, belonging to a huge company, called NTech, who are based on Nezar, but happen to have set up a Lab on Coraxa, her home.

Due to this, and her telepathy. Ava is asked to go home, and work undercover, with an old boyfriend of hers, to check out this lab, to see if the research they found during her last Op.

What she and Luke find there, will change the lives of everyone in the three planets - and beyond!

I thoroughly enjoyed this, and am looking forward to reading the next book in the series: Endless Advance!

Freaking Fantastic!

While new take on the FDG! Love this crazy red headed Lt! And the whole concept of her planet and people evolving to be connected, very "Avatar" except no need to entwined Neuro-fibers to communicate. And getting carrot cravings from a guinea pig? Priceless! I didn't expect the Dr.'s ending, since she was so aggressively ambitious....can't imagine that's all we will see if her, but who knows? I saw the cover of book two before finishing this one, so SPOLIERS!, I kinda knew THAT would happen. Already downloaded in anticipation. I am loving this series already!

I really enjoyed this

This is quite good, actually. I look forward to future books. This is the first book I've read by Amy DuBoff, so I can only speak about this book. I love military science fiction space opera and this has the elements I enjoy. I'm hoping the main character's planet will continue to be involved. I doubt it will be, but I really like helpfully sentient planets.
I'll update this review if I find time to check out her other books.

Another unique story from the Kurtherian Gambit Universe

For me, one of the things that make these different series that are written in Micheal Anderle's Kurtherian Gambit World is how unique each one is. While each has its own blend of action and adventure, this is developed individually by the authors to produce a variety of stories that although they have a common thread, they are different enough to hold my interest and leave me begging for more.

A Great Big Well Done. I look forward to more from Amy DuBoff. She's quick, well-thought out, with very interesting characters and plot-line. Having a telepathic that's human and not otherwise gifted, makes for an interesting story. I believe Mercedes Lackey was one of the first to do a series along this line. You are in very good company. Keep them coming!

A Super Sci Fi

I really enjoyed this book of what at first seemed a straight forward science fiction tale. But then the characters were not just humans and aliens but werewolves, were other creatures and even vampires! Plus it’s well written with characters I liked and a story line I enjoyed. I’m looking forward to reading a lot more books by this author.

A great spin off from the Kurtherian Gambit

I really liked this book. Ava, the main character, is a lot of fun and very down to earth. I enjoyed the interacts with her team and the way things worked out with her ex. I am very excited to go on to the next book, and glad I don't have to wait for it to come out.

Lots and lots of action. Such a good first story. When Colonel Walton was mentioned I thought Terry but it is Marcie, so much better. Cannot wait to see what happens in the next story.

I was expecting this to just be a normal light read but it had grit and heart not to mention great characters that make you want to read more about them. I enjoy action books with strong female leads. Definitely a series I will continue to follow.
