“Once again, she felt like a character in a fairy tale, an ordinary girl sent on a trial against overwhelming odds.”
It feels so refreshing and comfortable to return to this world that I hold so dearly close to my heart. It makes for a really pleasant change of peace and a nice break.
Leaving that behind let me just say that this little story is intense. I knew things couldn't get righted just yet, I mean, we still have at least one more short story, but I was hoping for something that resembled more a conclusion and solution than this.
Instead, I got a lot of alarming things going on and the stakes getting raised even more.
The story is still a bit predictable, though I have to admit that I have few predictions as to what will happen in Killing Giants and who'll live and who'll die. Which is exciting.
“Nine held up his hand and wiggled his fingers. ‘I am a weapon,’ he said.”
Can I love Nine more than I already do? Apparently, yes. His contributions are always so sassy and now that he's more grown up and responsible is even more fun to see him.
I'll continue to love the fact that he's still around and be forever grateful for that. I truly hope they never stop giving me more Nine content.
“‘Hey,’ said Nine. ‘What fun would it be if we knew everything?’”
I just realized that the names that the characters have as of lately are kinda silly and, well, not real names, at least in these short stories.
I'm not sure how I like that. I mean, I suppose is fun and all but... I don't know, I just don't how I feel about that.

This has over 100 pages and is considered a side-along novel? Why?
I mean, yeah, is still shorter than your average book but a bit on the longish side for a complimentary book.
Anyway, I'm ready to get back to this world that has been accompanying me for so long and see more of my precious Sam and Six, even though at this point I don't remember exactly what was going on the last time we saw them.
I just hope I can laugh with it.
