Baby For The Mountain Man

Rate this book
When I rescue a brown eyed beauty from a deadly storm, I vow she’s only staying for one night.
I should have known better.
One look at Ava and my life on the mountain will never be the same. Ava’s father is an @sshole. He’s the reason she’s running away.
He’s a crook, a womanizer, and doesn’t think Ava is capable of anything.
And she’s out to prove him wrong.
Her escape is foiled by the storm, but it brings her to me.
When I hold her shivering body next to mine, for the first time in years, I feel something.
But I have my own demons to battle. A huge corporation trying to put a pipeline right through my precious wilderness. My mountain.
Suddenly though, Ava is all that matters. Getting her to stay at my cabin, between my sheets is a whole new war. And I’m not going down without a fight.
She’s feisty and stubborn, and everything I need.
Her father wants to marry her off?
Hope he likes lumberjacks.

Baby for the Mountain Man is a super steamy secret baby romance. It has a HEA and NO Cliffhanger. There are a few bonus books for your reading pleasure. Enjoy!

Nicole Elliot has written a beautiful steamy romance that is difficult to put down. This story is about Ava a beautiful 22 year old virgin who is running from her overbearing father and Travis a gorgeous mountain man recluse who is trying to save the mountain from the building of a gas pipeline. When Ava crashes her car during a rain storm Travis comes to her rescue. Once the storm ends, Travis repairs Ava's car so she can return home. Although she doesn't want to return to her father who is trying to marry her off to an old man she really has no place to go. How Ava finally faces her father and the romance that develops between Travis and Ava is a wonderfully written story. “Baby for the Mountain Man” is a marvelous romance and a MUST READ

This is probably somewhere between 2.5 - 3 stars.
The H was hyper focused on his ex-fiancé, his love for her, all the sex they had and how he would wake her up by giving her oral. There was also zero reason given as to why she left him at the alter.

The h just didn’t do it for me. I know the author wanted to make her appear strong but I think it failed. What adult would allow themselves to be forced into dates, marriage and literally locked in a house for 3 months? She clearly had a cellphone, yet never used it to help herself out of her situations. Annoying and not realistic.
Her 3 brothers were all wussy’s and allowed themselves to be treated the same and they were adults as well.

Meh. Not the greatest thing I’ve read.

This is a steamy romance between a reclusive mountain man and a runaway girl. After being stranded at the altar, Travis retreated to the mountain cabin his wealthy father built for him. His only interest in protecting his families mountain from being destroyed by a gas pipeline. He rescues Ava when she wrecked her car while running away from her abusive father and an arranged marriage. Their chemistry is amazing and it was fun to watch their love blossom. Neither of them were looking for love, it just happened. An HEA and no cliffhanger. I read an advance copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

So overall I enjoyed the story, sometimes with these type of books you don't get enough of the characters background to really feel connected but with this one I felt like I got good background that I got to know Travis and Ava.

My only thing was that there seemed to be plot points that never got resolved. That we saw, Travis never spoke about his ex with Ava and they never speak about the fact that their families know each other. There was a door that Ava wanted to go into that Travis thinks about, and says it's where he gets his anger out, but we never see whats behind the door and it never gets mentioned again.

Overall I liked it, just wished plot holes had been resolved.

Well written book with nice storyline and plot. I like the main characters and how they develop. The story is about finding what you did not know you was seeking for and then trust in the other person. Letting go and let the fate take over. A sweet and sexy story about two people that have to deal with their problems to get their HEA.

It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. Great contemporaty romance with a twist and very enjoyable read though.

Yuck

It started out good but I stopped when he was reminiscing about sex with his ex. I can't bring myself to read about him with someone after just reading him talking about oral sex with his ex. That type of thing is way too intimate for people who don't end up together and ruins reading about him with anyone else. It won't feel as important or special. This is supposed to be a romance, and sexual details about exes are gross, unnecessary, and ruin the love story the book is supposed to be. It has no place in the book.

Ava is running away from her overbearing father who is trying to marry her off to an old man. Travis has been living on his mountain since he was left at the altar. He rescues Ava after she is in an accident during a story and takes her back to his cabin where sparks fly. This is a fast-paced read with plenty of drama and I did note a few editing errors that did not take away from the story. However, the story is entertaining with great characters. The chemistry is steamy and the story held my interest throughout.

Baby For The Mountain Man is a steamy read. A fun storyline entertains and characters are likable. I enjoyed the chemistry between Travis and Ava and wanted them to get their HEA. However, I do feel that there were a lot of unanswered questions left after the book ended. I'm posting an honest, voluntary review after reading an advance copy of this book.

Travis was burned by an ex and is now a recluse, guarding his family's land. Ava realizes how much she has been caged by her father and wants to make her own decisions. An interesting read but no resolution from Travis' ex, her father, nor her aunt. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Travis and Ava were from different worlds but finding safety was important for both. A beautiful story about second chances and finding love. A enjoyable read for a rainy day.

Such a great book! I loved Ava and Travis’s story. She needed to find her self and he was there when she found those wings to pick her up if she fell. I wasn’t a huge fan of the ending having two specific people in it because they didn’t deserve to be there but aside from that I loved it.

Abandoned at 10%. Too many errors & inconsistencies in the writing. This book is in desperate need of editing.
