There is no clear description of the hero, other than he weighs 160 pounds -- he's a middleweight boxer on the rise -- has long blonde hair, blue eyes, and a big stick.

The heroine's sports agent job was constantly threatened if she didn't tow the line by convincing her client to fight fighters suggested by her boss. An agent essentially works on behalf of their client athlete, but the heroine was never given the option of saying no, she in turn, gave her client no choice. All in the guise that he had to do it for the sake of his career. How do you commit a boxer to an opponent/match without input from the boxer and his trainer? The hero was blindsided each time and never felt ready to take on an opponent until he was inside the ring.

This is a short story and ends at 52 percent. Includes a revised bonus version of 'At Last' that is no longer available to purchase.

Failure is not optional

Adam Burnham felt as if he were a failure because he was not home to keep his wife safe. After her untimely death, he was honorably discharged as a special forces officer. He spent his civilian life caring for his daughter Hazel and developing his skills as a boxer. With his fighting ability amping up, the next step was to go pro. He did not expect his agent to come wrapped in the beautiful and sexy package of Kylie Peacock. She gave him the incentive to really live life again. Kylie was just as enamored by Adam and his daughter. They both fell hard for each other and to boot, Hazel loved Kylie too.

Imani wrote the fight scenes with vivid descriptions that had me squirming in my seat. I felt as though I were sitting ringside at the fight. I enjoyed reading this story.

I enjoy a wonderful sports romance

This story had so much action that there wasn't just on part that I enjoyed more than other in this story. I didn't like how Ryan Miller attacked Kylie when she was turned him down and was trying to grt away, plus talking about it like what he did was a good thing. I'm happy that Adam,Hazel and Kylie all had a happily ever after together as a new family. I wish it could've been longer I will reread this book again.

This is more like 3.5 stars. It's a enjoyable story with a cute kid and nice leads. There are a few laugh out loud moments along with the sweaty beat of fighting. It could've been fluffed out a little more, esp regarding the hero's past heartbreak and reconciling that but it's still an entertaining read.

Good Stuff

These were two all around d good stories from the first chapter to the last.I especially liked the first story I so would have loved if it had been a little longer. There was much curiosity about what that relationship would have looked like after everyone was together. This was good writing and such sweet romance that you can't help but smile even when the story ends.

Leave it up to Ms. Imani King to write about a boxer and his love interest that sounds like a movie in the making!!! Every word is so visual I imagined I was actually watching a boxing match!!! I love that Kylie was able to not only heal the hurt that formed within Adam, but she was also able to create something beautiful and new!! AWESOME JOB AS ALWAYS IMANI!!!

Good Books

I enjoyed reading both love stories. I like how they both ended with HEA for both involved couples. It's funny how in both, the ended up finding love when it wasn't even expected.

Love this! Adam is great and needs a second chance at love. His profession does of course add violence to the plot but it is still heartwarming. I would have liked a little more insight to understand what happened to him in the service.

Good Read

So enjoyed "The Ring" story of a single dad making a little money in underground boxing. His manager hires a sports agent to get him to the next level. Bonus book didn't hold my attention only read about 10% of it.

A winner

Two novellas and both were easy and interesting reads with great characters. The second story about the Bachelorette type story also had humor. Both have an epilogue which I like. Recommended

Lovely story with a good ending

The characters were nice enough, could have done with a more detailed description of them and of Hazel.
The fighting scenes were good and descriptive. Good short read

A short sweet story of up and coming boxing star Adam and his up and coming agent Kylie. The spark is lit and they are both worrying how their attraction can affect their careers. I liked it a lot. Hazel was just too cute.

I read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Loved it

Beautifully thought out story with compatible main characters. Although their past was only brought up briefly, it was enough to understand the present.

Miller got what he deserved. What a bully. Adam and Kylie attraction embraced each page. Hazel is an angel. I enjoyed her energy. Awesome story.

Okay story

Story was uneven and I really didn't feel a connection between Adam and Kylie. The bright spot in the story was Hazel. I also didn't read the bonus story.

Pretty Good 👍

I love to see different spins on the regular storylines. Boxing was a good change. There were some typo's but other than that this was a very good story

Right touch

This author's stories have just the right amount of romance and angst. The characters are likable and are well written.

Loved this. Though it took me a day or so to finish due to my own work schedule I didn’t any to put it down. I do feel though that he never resolved his problems with his past even though he did finally move forward. I am voluntarily leaving a review for an advanced readers copy of this book.
