Great Horror Series..

I just finished the book "Demon's Daughter" , and I just want to say that I really have enjoyed the series so far. It doesn't have much for a straight up gore fest, but the this isn't that type of book/series. The author's attention to ambience, details, research of material for premise of book, as well as my own imagination, made these books not only eerie but scary too! This book leads on with Oscar and April finally hooking up, moving in together, and April getting pregnant. They are so in love, like young love. You know when everything is shiny, new and so romantic?? Yes, to answer your question, Julian is still pissed that they are in love and are starting a family. He thinks they are too young and that Oscar doesn't have enough experience at either being a live-in boyfriend or a father, as well as a Sensitive, even though Oscar saved both Derek (Julian's mentor) and April from an immense demonic attack/environment. April, in turn, saved Julian from a form of demonic haunting with auditory, psychological and visual hallucinations in the last book. IMO, I believe that Julian is being too harsh with Oscar, as Julian is April's mentor and he can "feel" other "Sensitives", thus being able to locate them like a dowsing rod. I think that after that demonic showdown in the last book, Oscar more than proved himself that he has the juice. I may be giving away too many spoilers here, but I really do like the series. The only thing that is a bit off putting is the syntax being in U.K. English/slang and it could use a better editor. The U.K. English is okay once you get used to it, but the errors in the rest of the book (all of them so far) is just a tad bit distracting. I may be a bit rigid when it comes to editing, so if it doesn't bother anyone else, that's fine with me. I am on to the next book now and am looking forward to it. Cheers!!

Improvement over tree last one, but still not as good as book 1 and 2

Demon's daughter is the fourth book in the Sensitives series by Rick Wood. I am glad this chapter is kind of over. I understand why the author wrote it the way he did, it makes sense I suppose, but that doesn't mean I have to be a fan of the plot. Sadly Oscar dropped from my high standard I had him in, and yes not his fault but the ending what he said and did there were definitely his doing in his own conscious mind, so for that I do fault him. Especially considering how amazing April is handling it all and she really got the short end of the stick here.

I was also happy to see that Julian finally got his act together and came through for April and Oscar even if he doesn't see it. He is higher on my graces now, so rough but not a bad guy.

This book did turn out around a bit, but I am still a bit weary to see where this series is going. So I will see where the next one is going. Hopefully with this chapter being where it is, things will go back into the direction this series started at that got me interested in it in the first place.

Also there are editorial errors that need to be fixed including names like Jensen vs Jenson. An author really shouldn't make those kinds of errors especially not repeatedly!

Rick's books never disappoint!

Demon's Daughter is another fabulous addition to The Sensitives series. It picks up right after Book 3 and we're thrown straight in at the deep end with April hospitalised and Oscar playing dad, but to what?

I love Rick's imagery. The scenes he sets are so beautifully dark and disorienting. There's an unsettling atmosphere throughout the story, it lingers long after the last page.

I adore the characters and their progression, Julian is probably my favourite, closely followed by April.

If you like dark supernatural stories then The Sensitives series is for you, a word of warning though...once you pick up the first book you won't want to stop reading.

Another excellent 5 star read. I can't wait to read the next installment

Another excellent read

This was just as good as the first book of not better. It gripped you from the beginning from the very first page and had you booked til the end. So much happening and so much fight for good. Against such a small person hiding something some great and evil. I love how close Oscar April and Julian are but was gutted at the end. Fingers crossed it changes in the next book. Definitely recommend this book and the series. It really is a good read.

Another superb Rick Wood demon book. This time it's not demons possessing people it's demons being born to sensitives. I can't help but imagine the child as the little girl on the AA advert!! I can't say too much as I don't want to give anything away however it is highly recommended and very, very hard to put down.

Another fast paced book in the series “the Sensitives”. I love how each story brings about or renews or knowledge of different characters. This time they are fighting the demon Lamia. If demons are real this is how I picture they would be. Good at pretending and good at manipulating people. Another reason to wonder how bad things can happen even when someone has incredible faith.

Good series...

Enjoyable read! Oscar, April, & Julian...sensitivities in a demon infested world. Hayley? Is she real a genius little girl? Or is she more?
Can't wait for the next book!😊

Another great entry in a highly entertaining series. If you're into horror/demons/the occult, you owe it to yourself to check out "The Sensitives." The action in this one is fast-paced, and the story develops nicely into a climatic battle in the end. A bit of a cliff-hanger ending that sets up the next book effortlessly. Looking forward to reading it.

Another jaw dropping book. The baby is born and Oscar is besotted by his little girl Hayley.
Find it hard to give a good review without announcing the story, so I give this 4th book in the series five stars and let everyone else read the book for themselves.

Not a good book in my mind falling behind the previous

This book unfortunately was too easy to know what the plot was you could have just gone to 2 chapters before the end, to know whats going on

Sad lets see what happens next

Another good one

This book is the continuation of April and Oscars story. Although there are parts I can say I didn't really like, its not my story to tell. I will say that the sensitives 's have grown on me and I have to know what happens next. On to book #5.
