Tessa can't keep the deception going - it isn't fair to Levi. She prays fervently that he will accept the truth and not reject her, but her prayers aren't answered. Once Levi learns the real facts about Tessa's baby, he disappears. Struggling to live without his presence in her life, Tessa does her best to make a good life for her daughter. She is completely blindsided when her past walks through her shop door. What can Tom Miller possibly want? Why would her baby's father show up at this late date? What he proposes sends her reeling. Now, she is trapped. All chances for true love appear lost. Levi is gone; Tom has resurfaced. Tessa is caught in a no-win situation. "In the tradition of the works of Beverly Lewis, Cindy Woodsmall, and Wanda Brunstetter, Brenda Maxfield continues to bring you gripping Amish tales of love, struggle, and restoration." My passion is writing! What could be more delicious than inventing new characters and seeing where they take you?
I am blessed to live in Indiana, a state I share with many Amish communities. (I find the best spices, hot cereal, and good cooking advice at an Amish store not too far away.)
I've lived in Honduras, Grand Cayman, and Costa Rica. One of my favorite activities is exploring other cultures. My husband, Paul, and I have two grown children and five precious grandchildren. I love to hole up in our lake cabin and write -- often with a batch of popcorn nearby. (Oh, and did I mention dark chocolate?) And I can often be found walking the beaches of Costa Rica.

The final part of this story Levi leaves after being told the truth about Willa. Then Tim arrives asking forgiveness and to marry Tessa. Everything comes to a head when Levi returns. I really enjoyed this series but it could easily have been one book instead of three. This is my major complaint about Brenda Maxfield and most writers of Amish books
Ok, I loved the first too books. I have to say though the last book was much too repetitive for my liking. With Tessa going back and forth back and forth, thinking one way, then another, then the other, on and on and on. Too much! Still love Brenda Maxfield’s books!
I love this book. It is amazing how the books in the series just flow one into the next. This book really reminds me of Romans 828 that God always works everything together for the good. Tessa is such a strong woman. And I so love how Levi is so sweet and understanding.
Once again, very short. When books are less than 100 pages on a kindle, the author shouldn't string the reader along into buying another book.
As I've learned with this author, don't buy the single book. You will only end up frustrated because it's incredibly short and unfinished. Save yourself the trouble and buy the box set so you at least get the entire story.
I loved this series, the ending made me laugh at the same time I was crying. Ms Brenda Maxfield did a deal bang up job of telling Tessa's story of romance and sorrow. I hope she wrote more like it!
Unable to continue in the lie any longer, Tessa reveals the truth about the baby in her care to her new beau. Of course his reaction is typical causing him to leave the community. In walks the baby's daddy trying to force Tessa into a loveless marriage to save his honor. Tessa's heart now belongs to another and she prays that he will return in time to rescue her.Good ending to a fine series.
