The Road to Hell #6

Into the Abyss

Amalia

Born behind a seal, I never experienced anything beyond those four walls until I was freed from my prison.

On Earth, the other demons see the jinn as nothing but monsters; however, they don’t know the jinn as well as they think. I’m beginning to realize I don’t either.

I find myself torn between loyalty to my kind and the anguish of those who remain free when the jinn unleash a trap to ensnare most of the palitons in the Abyss.

Magnus

The last thing I expected when I returned from a hunt with Corson, Caim, and Raphael was to find most of our camp caught in the jinn’s trap.

Nor was I expecting to capture the fiery beauty with jinn blood. Even knowing what she is, something about Amalia calls to me.

I shouldn’t trust a manipulative jinni, but her offer to help is the only chance I have to save my friends. I agree to follow her into the Abyss where I quickly learn the jinn’s twisted world holds many dark secrets.

Can we unravel those secrets in time to save our friends, or will the Abyss ensnare and consume us all?

***The Hell on Earth series is a spinoff of the Road to Hell series. You do not have to read the Road to Hell series to follow this one.

Hmmmm this series is hotter than hell........

Magnus the last demon of illusion meets Amalia a faulted Jinn who is yet to reach her immortality, are they doomed from the start or a true match made in hell?

I love Magnus he is such a sweetheart lol for a demon and I have to say watching him become more and more protective of Amalia throughout the book is funny, he knows he shouldn’t trust a Jinn but he can’t stop himslef.

Amalia is young for a demon, she hasn’t reached maturity but she knows she is drawn to Magnus like she draws breath and it feels good, it feels right but she must help him first, help his friends even if she has to fight her own people.

Amalia was like a budding flower throughout this story, choosing herself over her family, choosing Magnus and ultimately choosing to do what is right.

Such a great adventure, such a great story.

Into the Abyss is the second story in series

The title of this story may seem dreary and sinister but aptly describes the story perfectly. However I recommend reading the series in order but it isn't necessary given each story focuses on one couple at a time. The timeline does continue from book one: Hell on Earth. This involves Magnus and Amalia. One is a demon who wields magic of illusion. The other is an empath jinni who is more Fae. Both of these characters make an unlikely pair. However when fighting a greater foe, enemies become allies. So many lessons and learning points can be taken from this story and not just the romance. I enjoyed the right scenes. Plus our group is fighting not just Hell's creatures but 'The Horsemen' and there are more than our biblical four we learned in Sunday school. So good but then this author knows how to spin her magical web of fantasy, romance and mystery.

While still an interesting backdrop, this romance was just off. It was more about sexy times. It seemed ridiculous that the couple was in a dangerous place hiding and looking for people abducted that they tear their clothes off and have sex…repeatedly…even when they get attacked.🤦‍♀️

Loved that Magnus found his Chosen. But I would ADORE if Caim the fallen beautiful Raven 🐦‍⬛ get his own love. 🖤

Magnus and Amalia

These seemed so opposite of each other at first. Amalia is sweet, caring and loving. Where Magnus is all of those things but not just to anyone. You to work to gain that from Magnus otherwise he was a hard arrogant demon. But with Amalia being who she is, she was able to break through Magnus’ barrier and get into his heart.

Amalia is so different from her the rest of her kind. She does not want to cause pain she only wants to spread love. And it’s hard for her to cope sometimes in this new world. But to be able to bare others emotions you have to be strong and she is definitely strong. And she does all she can to be save her family, their home, and the palitons even if it goes against everything she has ever known.

Even though this is Magnus’ take it was more about seeing Amalia grow with Magnus at her side. They both became each other’s reason for living and they will protect that with they have

MAGICAL, EXCITING AND AMAZING

“Into the Abyss” is Book 2 in the “Hell on Earth” Series and will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. In trying to save his friends from certain death, Magnus needs Amalia’s help but can he truly trust her. Even with his doubts, however, Magnus feels drawn to and protective of Amalia. He soon realizes that she is his Chosen, i.e., his mate for life. Their story will take you on a magical ride that has many plot twists and heart stopping moments you don’t want to miss. (Also, I highly recommend that you read the "Into Hell" Series, as well as, Book 1 in the “Hell on Earth” Series. By doing so, you will understand and know the characters leading up to this story so much better!) I can’t wait for Book 3 “Kiss of Death”. Once again, Brenda K. Davies gives you an awesome read that will leave you addicted and wanting more!!!

This book is about a jinn who is special. She is part of the Faulted but doesn't live with them. She doesn't agree with the king way of life. She is alone until she meets Magnus, the demon of illusion.

Looking upon the camp everyone is sleeping and can't be woken. There are only 4 who remain awake and they were not present when the camp fell quite. They thought that everyone made a wish but then they thought it to be more devious.

Magnus volunteered to go with Amalia, into the Abyss. Upon entering, they were mortified. It was desolate and dreary. Eventually, they came upon someone from the camp and discovered once they realized that something wasn't right and they remembered, they would vanish and return to where they came from.

This story is complex and without giving anything away, I recommend that you read it.

Always a good read!!!

I was so excited to get back into this world. This book did not disappoint. I swear I get so absorbed in the story because it’s so intriguing. The characters are fantastic and the storyline is always intriguing.
I have always liked Magnus. His abilities are pretty cool. I loved his entire journey with Amalia. I loved learning about her heritage. It was so interesting. I do not like the jinn. They are evil. Well, the ones that weren’t Faulted. The time Magnus and Amalia spent in the Abyss after they found the horsemen was pretty intense. It was a page turner. I loved getting to read about Corson and Wren again (my heart hurt for Corson!!!) and the rest of their group.
Fantastic job again Brenda! I cannot wait till the next book.

I love everything to do with these series 😍

This book has it all 😎. I loved kobal and rivers series and the hell on earth spin off series is just as amazing. The war may be won but the battles are not yet over. In this series we learn more about a species that was once trapped behind one of the seals of hell the jinn. We also see our lead Characters taking leaps of faith and hoping to land on their feet. The storyline is packed full of intrigue, action, mystery, romance ,betrayal everything you can ask for in a good book. The last few chapters of this book were perfect 😊 and a great way to end the book. I can't wait for book 3

I continue to enjoy this Spinoff Series

The "Road to Hell" series should be read before this series. It sets up both the World and the numerous characters. And what a world it is--with many and varied supernatural species. Each book, although part of an ongoing general plotline, is reasonably complete for the romance between the two main characters.

The stories flow nicely. The romance is engaging. The Author's "Road to Hell" series had a more exciting theme (at least thus far), but that's to be expected, as it set up the entire World. I will continue with this series.

Wow wow wow

It took a few chapters 2 get back into the series but man once I did I didn't and couldn't put the book down. I'm so glad Magnus sacrificed himself to save the ppl who have become his family and friends. He would have never found love without that sacrifice. This is another outstanding book by Brenda K. Davies. The road to hell series was fantastic and this Spin off series Hell on earth is just as fantastic. Just finished this book and can't wait to dive into the next 1. These books make u wish u could just sit & read all day, stay in this world instead of ur own. Just wow!!

I thoroughly enjoyed Magnus and Amalia’s story. Magnus is caught in Amalia’s beauty and is attracted to her. But as a jinn, Amalia is not exactly anyone’s favorite demon nor should they be trusted. However, we come to find out that Amalia is different from the others. She’s what’s known as faulted because she’s an empath. She’s very rare. Literally wearing her heart on her sleeve, she can see people’s soul and basically their auras.

As always, Meg Price was phenomenal! She does an exceptional job portraying each character. Her narration is so smooth and just tickles my brain in the right way. I blew through this series because I just couldn’t stop listening to it. Definite must have!

Earth and all the planes of existence are getting so much more exciting or dangerous depending how you look at it. Finding their camp asleep and unable to wake them. The angels and demons need to find out what happened. Including capturing the Jinni wandering near their site. They can’t trust her but Magnus is willing to do anything save their friends and Corson chosen. Thus going into the unknown Abyss with the jinni female that he feels a strange pull towards. Let the adventure begin. I cannot say enough about how great this story is. It pulls you in from the first page.

OMG!! I loved, loved this book. Characters are well written, story flows smoothly,I could imagine the story in my head, which I love. I decide what the characters and scenery look like thanks to the well written plot. My favorite character is Caim. But he’s ancillary to the story. Story is about Magnus and Amalia. Demon and jinn. The sex scenes are hot!!!! Seriously, 🔥🔥🔥But you’re here for the story. I’ll be doing a reread soon. Not ready to leave this behind. Grab this!! The week is beginning. After work, lunch break, before bed. You’ll thank me.

Into the Abyss Review

The Jinn were one of the first sealed in Hell and when the seals broke they came to earth to wreck havoc and seek revenge on Kobalt and his followers. In order to save the palatons, Magnus must put his trust in the jinni Amelia and enter the abyss to save his friends.
An adventurous, emotional, splendid read that transports you into another dimension full of the unknown.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and Magnus and Amelia's story.

Intriguing, Wonderful, Magical

This is why I love Brenda.... because her book's are phenomenal!!!! I couldn't put this down, I had to keep reading. The story between Magnus & Amalia was incredibly hot and sweet. I love how their story develops, the push and pull, it's all so intense and sexy! And yet it wouldn't be a BKD book without the twist and turns in it. Still, I wouldn't have it any other way! Love the series!!!

Her stories are all amazing as always and this one is no different.

I've been looking forward to Magnus's story for a while now. His character seemed mysterious and I wanted to know what secrets he held. Amalia was a great match for him and I loved how she was able to convince him to see who she was, ignoring what she is.

The action sequences and intricate plot left me reeling and I cannot wait to read the next story in this series!

SUCH a good book. I couldn’t wait for Magnus’ perspective and Brenda didn’t disappoint!
I was so excited to read about the group again since the seals broke and learn about the changes that went on since Corson and Wren became chosen.
I was not expecting the story Brenda wove for us and the different world she created. Completely exceeded my expectations! I can’t wait to read the next book and see where she takes us!!

Loving this spin off series. First book is about Corson which is one of my favorites but then this one is about Magnus which makes me so happy.
I love all the character development, really hoping a future book is about Shax. This book while still adventurous, was beautiful... I'm also an Empath so having that be a factor really hit home and added depth for me. I also literally laughed out loud at a few parts, truly enjoyed this one!

Jinn's a tonic!

I took a short break before returning to the Road to Hell series & for the life of me, I can't remember why! It's as good as it ever was & the fact that it was centered on Magnus, one of my favourite demons, made it even better. The Jinn have made their presence known but whose side are they on? And can the mortal Jinni play a greater role? The Horsemen rear their heads again, too, with new allies. I'm definitely not leaving a gap between books this time.

I can honestly say that the author won’t disappoint. Another great story that once you start you can’t put the book down. Magnus’s & Amalia story is wow! It’s unfortunate that a lot of palitons lives were lost and gained new allies but overall a lot of action and hot attractions toward magnus and Amalia. I can’t wait to read the next installment!

Good but not as good

As.the previous book or as the original series. The story in the abyss was too long, the jinn weren't that interesting. Manus and Amara made a good couple but there is something missing in this book. It is less exciting, less funny, just less really. I was able to "put it down" easily enough.

Magnus

Yet again this author is blowing me away with the world she created, the characters she breathes life into and the continuing story she is weaving.
The connections weaved between this book and the first in this series is deepening, and I can not wait to dive in to reading it.

I’m glad that I read the Shadow series prior to reading this, or I wouldn’t have picked up anything else from this author. The plot was weak, there was little character development, and the book was just predictable. I gave this a shot because of the good reviews after not enjoying the first of the series, but I won’t continue.

I thoroughly enjoyed Magnus & Amalia’s story. Learning more about the history of the fae & jinn was interesting. And the development of Amalia as the story progressed was well done. But something was just a little lacking for me in this installment. Magnus is a great character, and when we met him in The Road to Hell series there was a certain swagger he held that seemed somehow less in this book. Maybe I just wanted a little more of that old Magnus back? Still a great & entertaining read!

I loved this book!

I truly enjoy each Hell book. Magnus has been a favorite of mine since he was introduced and I'm glad he finally got a story about him. It was a fast paced story with lots of action from the start and I really enjoyed that.
