They should be my enemies. But in a world of danger, now they’re all I have.

I’ve spent the last seven years searching for my father and the dragon shifters who kidnapped him. Just when it seems the answers I’ve been looking for are in my grasp, everything goes awry. Now I have no choice but to put my life and trust in the hands of dragon shifters—one with a secret agenda who’ll do all he can to make me his, and two whom I’ve never even met.

Am I walking into a trap, or do they hold the key to more than just my salvation?

When a new evil rises, the danger is greater than ever, and there are two things I know to be true. Nothing is what it seems, and all of us are running out of time.

My name is Helena. All my life, I’ve had to fight to live, and now I have to fight for those I love. No matter what, I will never be taken.

****Dragonlust is the second book in the Shadowsword’s Harem series. It’s a full-length, Reverse Harem, Urban Fantasy Romance. The harem will be introduced slowly as the series unfolds. Contains some violence and sexual situations.

I'd like to say that the second book had shed some light on what the hell is going on and made things more clear... but in truth, it confused me even more. Although I am enjoying all the mystery.
“Here I was seeing a whole new side of his people, a side I never expected. Prophecies, heroes, End of Days stuff.”

Kyas irritated me from day one. His ways (and the Dargonlords in general) and their treatment of women grated on my nerves, but the more I read about him, the better I understood why he acted the way he did. I still don't like it, but at least now I understand.
I cannot see the whole picture yet, but the pieces are slowly coming together and I'm damn intrigued. And I want more.
Also, the series are called Shadowsword's Harem, so...where are the rest of the guys? When are they going to show up?

Helena is in a little over her head in the second book of the Shadowsword's harem series with all the secrets still looming as to where her father is , why she's still off after Rakar's bite and the strange connection between her and Kyas.Even thought she's in love with hunter. She fights it , but how long can you fight the will of a dragon ? .
There is a lot of action on this leg of their adventure , intense emotion, drama and some seriously hot, sexual tension going on between her and Kyas as trouble looms he whisks her away to his home . Where she has to learn the way of his people.
Damn that was harsh on her , I cringed . The writing is amazing .I felt as if I was there with them. The secondary characters are also amazing Annis and Pan, Keith and Harriet .They made the story even more interesting .I'm definitely hooked . I cant wait to see what happens going forward .Especially since important secrets are revealed

I had a hard time with this book. I never found much to like about the FMC’s dragon mate. He was authoritarian, hard, cold, and expected the FMC to be okay playing slave when needed. He seemed unable to see things from another perspective, aka empathize, basically pull his head out of his ass.

This is the 2nd book and he didn’t get better. He and the FMC didn’t seem to have much chemistry. All their interactions seemed to be filled with loathing, frustration, dominance, anger, hostility and prejudice. With no underlying passion, like, caring, lust.

This is a fantastic second book to this series. The world is rich and colourful and the characters are likeable and full of depth. The intrigue and action continue on from where book,1 left off. Only thing I was a little disappointed in was the sex scene. After all the sexual tension and buildup I would have liked to see a bit more in depth. But hey maybe I'm just a perv. Lol. Can't recommend this series highly enough.

Dragonlust

Fantasy isn't usually my thing, but this series just makes me want more. I am so looking forward to the next book. Four stars due to the few sentences that pulled me from the book that took me a while to unravel as they were either missing words, had words in the wrong order, or words that shouldn't be there to make the sentence work.

Overall, it's an excellent story and I'm eager to see what comes next.

So awesome!

The second installment of this series was awesome! I loved that you got to see some of Kyas' world this time! I liked getting to see some of the other characters' perspectives too! I'm definitely excited to see what happens next after that lovely cliffhanger we were left with!

Yes

I loved book one and book two is no exception. I love the characters and the world that Rebecca Baelfire has created. There were some twists that I wasn't expecting and there were some answers I finally got but now I have many more questions. I can't wait for the third book in this series!

I got halfway before giving up, I'd really liked the first book so I was disappointed to not be able to get into this one.

And I'm not even sure why, the writing is great, world building and characters are also excellent, it just didn't grab me, in fact I struggled to get to halfway.

I'm planning to come back to this book and try again, perhaps I just wasn't in the right state of mind.

I enjoyed this. I was worried initially that it would take me a while to get into it, given that it had been a while since I read the first one, but after a couple of pages, it all came back. Yep, love the character of Kyas. Don't really care about anyone else. Looking forward to reading the next one.

I've got to say, I'm pretty disappointed right about now.
While these books are a pretty decent paranormal/urban fantasy read, I came here because of the reverse harem tag. And now, I've read two whole books with no such thing in it.
I feel cheated.

Book was a little all over the place and a bit peeved that the series was finished and I cannot find anything about nothing of what happened to either the story or the author. A little bit crying because this could have been something!

Expected but not!

So close yet so far. Frustrating not knowing the answers, with one step forward and half a step backward. Dragon surprise!!!
