THE EPIC CONCLUSION TO THE DAUGHTERS OF OLYMPUS SERIES TELLS THE STORY OF PERSEPHONE... She fell in love with four gods. Poseidon. Ares. Zeus. Hades. But her story is a Greek tragedy. With the help of her daughters, can she finally find the love she's been waiting for? Or will she spend eternity regretting one choice that changed everything?
Their Goddess is the fifth and final book of the Daughters of Olympus series by Charlie Hart and Anastasia James. Charlie Hart is a pen name for Frankie Love. In this final installment, we finally get ALL the answers. The book is divided up into two parts, Before, and Part two is the present.
“Things don’t always end up the way we want. Even our best intentions can sometimes lead to heartache.”
Persephone had thought she had it all, the love of four gods, Hades, Poseidon, Zeus and Ares. She loved them all with her whole heart. Only to have everything ripped away from her all at once, the love of her four gods, and her four brand new daughters. She spent the next twenty-one years locked up in the Underworld but she always knew her daughters were out there somewhere, she could feel them.
“I paced a cell, dreaming of a day when I might be set free, feeling my daughters’ hearts beating even though I couldn’t see their beautiful faces.”
After the four sisters have reunited with their mother, they learn the truth of what happened. Over all these years Persephone always thought it was Gaia that was to blame for the loss of her daughters. But the truth was that Gaia was trying to save the girls. That she wasn’t to blame at all.
In this final book, we see everyone reunited. The sisters with their mother, Persephone and her best friend, the four gods with the one woman they have never stopped loving, and all the men that belong to the sisters. That’s quite a group wouldn’t you say?! What I loved was the power of forgiveness. These sisters, their mother, and the four gods, have all been played by the three fates and have lost twenty-one years that could have been spent loving each other. Even with all the pain she has endured, Persephone is quick to forgive, as are her daughters. After all five books, I did enjoy finally getting all the answers and filling in the blanks. Hopefully now the earth’s balance will be restored and these women will have the chance to enjoy their men, and I mean ALL of their men!
In the previous book we found out that the girls’ mother is Persephone, which completely took me by surprise. Throughout the books their mother whispered encouraging things to the girls and, all the talk about love had led me to believe that their mother was none other than the goddess of love, Aphrodite. Well done to Charlie Hart and Anastasia James for this clever twist.
This is the final book in the Daughters of Olympus series and it’s been divided into two parts. The first part describes Persephone’s journey. The phrase “like mother like daughters” springs to mind when we learn, that just like her daughters, Persephone lost her v-card in a steamy orgy. Unlike her daughters it wasn’t with mere mortals, but with none other than the four Olympians Zeus, Poseidon, Hades and Ares. As the goddess of fertility Persephone becomes pregnant with a girl from each of the gods. Their love is strong and true so it seems that nothing can stand in their way when they each marry Persephone. However, when jealousy rear its ugly head at the wedding party their perfect world comes crashing down upon them.
The second part of the book takes us back to the present when Persephone is reunited with not only her four daughters, but also her best friend, Gaia. While Harlow and Remedy are close to their due date, their dads are still looking for revenge so time is of the essence. In a desperate attempt to right an old wrong Persephone, Gaia, Lark, Tennyson, Harlow and Remedy seek out the three Fates – but it’s not smart to anger the women that hold everyone’s life-string in the palm of their hands.
Did I enjoy this book? Yes, yes, I did! The first part didn’t sit right with me as I felt that all the gods were humanised way too much, which I personally didn’t like. However, I loved the second part which was such a perfect ending to this series. I would have wished for the book to be longer (seriously, it only took me about two hours to finish it.) On the other hand, it may have been too much if Charlie and Anastasia dragged it out just to fill pages, so while thinking about it, it was the perfect length. Good thing it isn’t illegal to change one’s mind while writing a review as I tend to do that a lot!
When I finished Tennyson’s story (Their Shade) I didn’t really know what to expect from Persephone’s story. While I was very curious of what happened to make Zeus, Ares, Poseidon and Hades turn on her, lock her up and try to kill their own flesh and blood, I also wanted to know more about each of their daughters. Luckily, for me both Charlie and Anastasia accommodated this and gave me the best of both stories – which is why I’ve rated this book at five hearts.
I really liked this final installment in the Daughters of Olympus series. It was fast paced, consistent, and captured my attention rather quickly. I liked the whole set up for the book and how part one was Persephone telling her story to her girls and part two taking place in the present. I thought that the development for Persephone and her men was spot on. In fact, their individual story was my favorite out of the series. Just thinking about the dynamic between the five of them gives me chills. I only wish that Charlie Hart and Anastasia James would have given us more of their story. I would have loved to spend more time getting to know Zeus, Poseidon, Ares, and Hades and watch their relationship continue to develop with Persephone. I took stars away from this book for part two of the story. There wasn't necessarily anything wrong with the way that part two was written, I just didn't connect with it as much as I did with part one. I found it highly predictable and I was constantly shaking my head at the decisions the main characters made. I also would have liked to see more relationship building between Persephone and her daughters, but we don't always get what we want. Overall, I really enjoyed this series. While it isn't the best series ever written, it was certainly a fun read and I enjoyed the time spent reading it. I would read more from both of these authors in the future.
What a stunning conclusion to a great series, this is Persephone’s story of how she came to have the four girls and what happened to spread them around the world
It’s lovely to see this series wrap up in such style, beautifully written, exciting with twists and turns a great finish to an awesome series
Charlie Hart and Anastasia James finish off their Daughters of Olympus series and man was it ever an ending! First, know that you HAVE to read this series in order. It truly does not make sense otherwise and this is the last book in the series. Persephone is free and she know wants revenge and answers. Revenge on the one that took her daughters and answers on why her loves turned their backs on her. Learn how the daughters even came to be and what happened to make the Gods hate them so. Also learn how to turn jealousy to love and a happily ever after. I loved this! Sorry to see the series come to an end but loved how these ladies chose to close the journey. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Hades, Ares, Poseidena and Zeus = 5/5 Heroine, Persephone = 5/5 Chemistry, = 5/5 Sex, = 5/5 Plot = 5/5 Mystery = 3/5 Action = 2/5 Darkness = 3/5 Humor = 2/5 POV = Dual Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
What an ending! I wish it would not be the end for this story! The story how Persephone found his gods and how she had her children is really beautiful, and how the struggles are resolved from the previous books between the daughters and fathers (and actually the mother and the fathers) is just wow. Exciting and enticing and tricky. I want to start over to relive the whole story again! I reviewed an ARC copy of the book voluntarily.
A wonderful ending book to The Daughters of Olympus series. Their Mother's story was a joy to read. It went back to the beginning of Persephone coming of age and falling in love with 4 Gods. Then how the girls were seperated from her. But even in separation she filtered her love to her girls. It's that love that made them the strong woman they became. And in the end they were able to bring Persephone her harem of Gods back to that love, also.
*I received an ARC copy of this book. I read this all in one sitting and it was enjoyable. All the questions are answered and all the loose ends are tied up in a neat little bow, but it just seemed to go by so fast. We got to see the backstory and how it all happened. It was an ok ending to the series. I was glad to see everyone got an HEA and get the closure they needed. The Daughters of Olympus finally have their family back together.
This is the final book to this series. In the previous books we got to meet and learn about the four daughters of Persephone.
We get to find out how all this came about and we discover the real reason why things have become the way they are and who exactly is responsible for it. We get to see why Persephone fell in love with Poseidon, Ares, Zeus and Hades. We get a glimpse of what these gods were truly like before everything went wrong.
I finished this story in 2 HOURS!! While still interesting and compelling, I felt that the action wrapped up faster this time. That left time to focus on life, love, family, and forgiveness. We finally got all of our heroines and their men together and it was just such a celebration!! I really enjoyed this series and the finale was the perfect night cap.
Wow absolutely awesome without giving much away of the story this is well worth reading especially if you've read the other books before this one this is a series that I definitely recommend reading epic ending would definitely read more books from this author. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
This is the final book 😓 in the daughters of Olympus books by Charlie Hart & Anastasia James. This book is Persephone’s story and it ties up all loose ends and we get to find out why the gods hate their daughters, Gaia and Persephone. I will definitely miss these awesome books but I can wait to see what’s next.

First you hate then you love them at the end that's the reason well one of the reasons why I love this series. I read it from beginning to end and I did not disappoint in any way. So it's a must read from the first to the end of the series and you'll fall hard just like I did.
AN EPIC CONCLUSION TO DAUGHTERS OF OLYMPUS, A GREEK TRAGEDY! I absolutely loved this "epic" conclusion of Persephone taking on the Greek Gods, Poseidon, Ares, Zeus and Hades! Bringing those God's to their knees was so much fun to read. A Greek tragedy written as never before.
Absolutely loved it and did not disappoint what an awesome ending. Could not put the book down as I was caught up in Persephone’s story. will enjoy reading this series over and over again. a great way to conclude this series
I loved this conclusion to the series. Finally we understand the motivations of Gaia and what happened to Perséphone. My questions were answered and my curiosity sated. The world bbuilding in this series has been amazing and I'm just a little disappointed that it has to end. Fantastic read.
This book was an excellent end to this series. It tied everything together so well. I really enjoyed Persephone's story. I found it beautiful, and well-written. It was heartbreaking at times, yet I found the conclusion satisfying. Overall, this was a fantastic series, and I truly recommend it to fans of RH.
Their Goddess is the final book in this series and we get Persephone's story. I loved reading about Persephone and her God's Poseidon, Ares, Zeus and Hades! I loved it! I do wish it was a little longer. This was a great ending!
I was extremely looking forward to seeing how this series would end. I was looking forward to getting the backstory into Persephone, Zeus, Ares, Poseidon and Hades. I wanted to see why things went so wrong, why there was so much anger from each god towards the daughters in the first 4 books. This book had me quickly turning the pages to see where the story would go. It's a captivating read that packs a punch. Congratulations on completing this series so perfectly. This duo are dynamite when they collaborate. I cannot wait to see what else they have in store
