I've been checking out a ton of jewelry books from the library lately and this one on wire-wrapping is almost mind-numbing! The author goes through 30 (THIRTY!) different techniques of wrapping, plus variations and combinations. There is A LOT to look at here, a multitude of photographs. The step-by-step text sometimes had me scratching my head, but the accompanying photographs definitely allow you to figure things out, particularly if you're more of a visual learner. I would have loved to see the jewelry on a person, to get a sense of scale, as well as many more actual finished pieces, not just as "pendants" but completed necklaces. My jewelry teachers have often warned me about "sweater catchers" and I wondered how these pieces live in the real world. Also, different metals would have been nice to see as the majority of the work seemed to be in copper. Lots of inspiration here!
