Not my cup of tea

I tried but unfortunately this bundle set just was not my cup of tea. So sadly this was a 3 star for me.

Wtf did I just read????

I can't even follow the story. It's all over the place. I don't feel the pull when you start reading a book. I got hooked by the synopsis. But, boy, the book was so bad I wanted it to end. How will it end if it didn't properly start???

I mean they broke up because of a misunderstanding??? How tf did Sam make Benson his partner when Benson was a fraud??? And Sam's secretary??? When did she become so obsessed with her boss, Sam??? Where tf did the secretary became so possessive???

And don't get me started with the grammar!!! Plus there were a lot of inconsistencies in the name like how did Ms. Bell became Ms. Brown at the next page???

I'm like 'Wtf did I just read???????????'

 She Needed Him To Rescue Her

This is another book in the Wanted Series by Eva Luxe and Juliana Conners.  It is a standalone story with two lovers who were high school sweethearts but broken up by lies.  Wendy and her dad are having hard times since his accident and she is desperate when she meets Eliza.  She is a 'matchmaker' of sorts for wealthy clients and says that she knows that she can help Wendy and very soon.  Meanwhile, Sam who is her high school sweetheart is now very wealthy following an accident and wise investments but he needs a wife to finalise a contract and he goes to Eliza for assistance.  yes, you've guessed it!  Sam and Wendy are paired.  Now I'm not going to give away any spoilers as I don't write anywhere near as well as Eva and Juliana so I won't even try.  What you can expect is a sweet love story with secrets, danger, a crazed ex, fraud, a very religious partner and a HEA.  Eva and Juliana are superb authors who really know how to draw you into their storyline, they give you characters such as Sam and Wendy that you like and want to get their HEA, they also give you some very interesting twists and turns that will keep you on the edges of your seats as well as reaching for the fan to set to MAX COOL during the red hot love scenes. Sam will make you swoon as he is just so gorgeous both inside and out and Wendy deserves to have happiness. I was so pleased the way things turned out for her dad and with what happened to Sam's original partner. I encourage you without reservation to grab yourself a copy of this book and I hope you enjoy the story as much as I have.  This is a story that I will be re-reading as it's so good.  Remember also that there are some extra bonus stories too that are there for you to enjoy too!  I'll be buying a copy of this on pay day! I received a free readers copy of this book and leave my honest opinion of it here.

I read this book as part of an arc program. This is a second chance love story between Sam and Wendy. Wendy is living with her father and desperate for money after he lost his job and they are facing eviction. Sam is a young billionaire who owns a company that is going to do business with a conservative man who really values family and is known for only dealing with companies that have married CEOs. Sam is a lonely man and doesn't date do to his low self esteem with women after he was left having to use a cane after a bad car accident. He thinks no woman would want a damaged man. When his partner tells him about the business deal and that he needs a wife, Sam thinks it is a bad idea. When he uses a matchmaker for his need of a wife, he is shocked to find the woman she picked is Wendy, his old girlfriend. Wendy agrees to the deal for the money, but they soon realize they still have feelings for each other, but there is danger around the corner and things aren't as they seem. I enjoyed this story. It had couple of twists. Sam and Wendy were meant to be together and made a good pair. Good one.

Do not waste your time with this one!

I was looking for an easy read with a bit of heat today so I wasn’t expecting a lot from this book to begin with but this one was too poorly written to even be enjoyable. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I really feel like I wasted my time here.

To start, the characters converse like teenagers. There is no chemistry or character development. At all. The authors tried to sell the book as an alpha romance but there was no alpha in this book. The hero was whiny and self-doubting

The authors also regularly confused the names of secondary characters and changed them from paragraph to paragraph. Which made it hard to follow. The plot was spotty and abrupt. None of the plot points were actually developed into a story. The whole thing ended up being awkward and forced.

The intimate scenes in this book were also lacking. Sometimes a book can make up a little for poor plot with some good love scenes. This book is not one of them.

The book also ends at 7% and the rest is “bonus content” that I didn’t bother to read because my poor brain has been traumatized enough this morning.

This is a second chance love story about Sam and Wendy. They dated in high school and things ended with a big misunderstanding. Years later Sam is a successful businessman with a bad accident that has caused him some bodily damage. His partner is a bit shady and seems to attract trouble for both of them. Wendy is in need of money to care for her and her father and finds herself meeting Eliza who matches women with wealthy men. Sam is in need of a wife to land a business deal and ends up meeting Wendy through Eliza. They each can not believe their luck and things progress very quickly for them. There are villains and evilness of others who keep interfering in them getting married in time to seal the business deal. Once Sam and Wendy figure out what happened years ago they both move on from the past. Will those in their present keep them from finally moving forward? Will doing things for the right reason reward them in the end? This is a sweet love story I just wish it was a bit more. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I received a free ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review. Sam and Wendy were high school sweethearts that had drifted apart until she was offered the role of his make believe wife. Surprised at how well they had reconnected, Sam was determined to make her his real wife for all time. There was a lot going on in Sam's life with a big business deal set to make him a multi billionaire and his business partner commiting fraud but the most important thing for Sam was meeting Wendy again, without her, the rest meaningless with out her by his side. I love a honest, true love story and this is one of the best I have read. The author has bought the characters to life and their love affair is what people dream about.

A second chance at love for Wendy and Sam. They were high school sweethearts until someone tore them apart. He broke her heart. They are brought back together when she joins a matchmaking service and accepts an offer for a million dollars. She needs the money for her ailing father. Imagine her surprise when she finds out the offer is from her first love. Lots of drama and suspense, but a romantic, sexy read. She's still a virgin and their chemistry is still off the charts. No spoiler here, but another great one from Eva and Juliana with an HEA. I read an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

This is a good story, it's a second chance romance and is about Sam, a business man who has to hire a bride to get the co-operation of an investor who is big on family, to come in with him and Wendy, who needs money to keep herself and father away from being out 'on the street', unbeknownst to them, they are ex high school sweethearts who broke up after a misunderstanding, it has a bit of drama with Sam's business partner not being exactly truthful and I couldn't put it down.
A couple of times the story gets a bit confusing as it switches scenes but it didn't stop my enjoyment of the book. I loved Sam and Wendy

Wendy was having a hard time with her Dad being the way he was. She needed money and fast or they'd loss their home, so she went to do some striping but meet a woman who said she would help her without taking her cloths off unless she real wanted to. Sam thought all his troubles ended when he got the money for his accident and set up a business. Now his friend had dropped him in it and needed a wife super fast. He contacted a agency that could help him get a wife quick. Great story of finding love in the place that they thought they had lost with a few twists and turn for added enjoyment and entertainment.

“Bride Wanted” is a wonderfully written story that I spent an afternoon reading. Wendy is in a difficult financial position and needs help when she meets Eliza, matchmaker to wealthy clients. She asks her for help and Eliza agrees to match her up with the perfect man. What a surprise when she meets her match, Sam, her ex boyfriend, her one and only love. He needs a temporary wife to finalize a contract and she needs immediate cash. Can this pairing work? “Bride Wanted” is a quick, sweet, interesting story with a few twists and sizzling, steamy sex. A book worthy of your time.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer..especially when they are in in the same. And those crazy exes? Yeah it takes a lot to get rid of them. Such is the case between Sam and Wendy. This is a great second chance romance. They’re chemistry is amazing and I found myself actually glad they didn’t work out the first time. It gave them both time to mature so they’d be able to have the love for each other they found later. Exciting plot, though not original. Still written well. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.

Bride Wanted is a very entertaining and enjoyable read. This well written book has a fun plot and the characters are likable. A lovely story about former high school sweethearts that are brought back together years later for a second chance at a HEA. Sam and Wendy are a great couple. I really felt the connection between them and thought they had really good chemistry. Storyline is fleshed out with lies, drama, deception, danger and some deep emotional turmoil. A really great read. I'm posting an honest review after reading an advance copy of this book.

Amazing chemistry. Loveable characters. Great use of the words and fantastic writing style.
Funny, romantic, passionate and sexy story. A second chance romance where fate had its own way to bring two people together again.
A Hero that only has eyes for the heroin. Wendy is very strong and Sam is smithen with her. But is that enough for them to succeed? No spoilers :)

I like the main characters and how they develop. The story flows nicely and it is very captivating from first to last chapter.

I liked this second chance romance because it has a different twist then most books in this style. Wendy and Sam may have fallen out due to a high school mix-up, but down the road when they find themselves back together they talk about it and end up discovering what really happened. In this second chance romance it's the quirky ensamble of minor characters that try to tear or keep this cute couple apart. Loved it. It is exciting, suspenseful, emotional, fun, hot and so much more. I really enjoyed reading this. They were close sweethearts while in high school. A fight broke them up and years later when she is taking care of her dad and needs the money badly. He needs a wife to keep his company. A site matched them up and they found out who the other is and the feelings are still there. And back in high school things weren't as they were told. And so much more. I recommend it. Two people knew each other in high school, then a misunderstanding tore them both apart. Years later Sam's business has been good, but he is in need of a temporary wife for a business deal, so he seeks out a partner temporarily. Wendy is trying to find a gig that will pay well, tho help her Dad and her out a money shortage. A planner hooks them up! And the shock on both of them! Read on, great story, get past what they both thought happened in the past, and see where they can go from there.❤️ Great story😊

This is a short story that didn't take long to read. As with most short stories, it did feel rushed at times. There were a few things I would have liked to see a little more development on. Overall though, it was a cute story. I liked Wendy and Sam. There were a couple twists in the storyline that kept it interesting. I enjoyed it.

amazing! This was really a second chance love story, true love happens even when everything goes wrong back when you were in school and every thing you thought you wanted fell apart, now that you are older it can come true,
this story was deeply emotional with great family feelings as well as steamy times between the main characters, some action and adventure as well to keep the twists and turns coming!

Talk about boring!

The only reason this got 2 ⭐ instead of 1 is because the premise is good for this story. Unfortunately the delivery was crap. To add insult to injury the editing was atrocious. Mixed up names and characters and tenses and wrong words all were so bad it led to distraction. The story was also completely anticlimactic! Even the supposed dramatic moments were so boring and anticlimactic they brought nothing to the story. Very disappointing

This book was a good short read. I have read some very good books by Eva Luxe and Juliana Conners that deserves a 5 star rating, but this this was lacking. It was interesting but I found the characters fell short and that the plot line was rushed so there wasn't time to build depth in the characters themselves or in the plot.

This is such a sweet story, one of my favourite second chance stories ever. The characters are adorable and have you praying for an HEA for them.
