Savor You

Rate this book
In the next sizzling romance in Kristen Proby's New York Times bestselling Fusion series, two celebrity chefs compete in a culinary competition, but resisting each other will prove to be the greater challenge.

Cooking isn't what Mia Palazzo does, it's who she is. Food is her passion . . . her pride . . . her true love. She's built a stellar menu full of delicious and sexy meals for her restaurant, Seduction. Now, after being open for only a few short years, Mia's restaurant is being featured on Best Bites TV. To say Seduction is a wild success is an understatement. All the blood, sweat, tears, and endless hours of work Mia has put into the restaurant has finally paid off. Then Camden Sawyer, the biggest mistake of her life, walks into her kitchen . . . Camden's celebrity chef status is world-renowned. He's the best there is, and the kitchen is where he's most at home. He can't resist the invitation to Portland for a showdown against Mia for a new television show. Mia was in his life years ago, and just like before, he's met his match in the beautiful Italian spitfire. The way she commands the kitchen is mesmerizing, and her recipes are clever and delicious. He's never had qualms about competition, and this is no different. He can't wait to go head to head with Mia. But can he convince her the chemistry they share in the kitchen would be just as great in the bedroom as well?

As Mia and Camden face off, neither realizes how high the stakes are as their reputations are put on the line and their hearts are put to the ultimate test.

I've actually had this ARC on my Kindle for a few weeks but I had already decided that this would be my first read of 2018. I like to start my years off with an amazing book, and I knew Kristen Proby wouldn't disappoint.

Mia is the workaholic of the Seduction group, but that means she sacrifices having a life in order to be at the restaurant running the kitchen. But then her past walks back in her life in the form of Camden Sawyer and he helps her loosen her hold on the kitchen. I loved seeing these two together because they weren't completely opposite yet Camden had more of fun-loving vibe about his characters and slowly that started to rub off on Mia. I had already really liked her character but I actually liked her so much more after that character progression started.

As sad as I am to see these characters go and their series come to an end, I couldn't have asked for a better conclusion. Mia and Camden were just so sweet and they captivated me from the beginning. I loved that we got to see that sexual tension between them in the beginning of the story and then once Camden broke down Mia's walls we got to see that tension explode as they gave into it. This series is definitely one that I would recommend and now I can't wait to see what KP has in store for us with her next series.

This was a cute, fluffy romance about Mia, who owns and cooks for a restaurant, and Cameron, who is a now-famous TV chef she once dated and lived with ten years ago in culinary school. The two have some history, and after a quickie marriage turned out to be a mistake, Mia bolted and left only a letter. Ouch.

Now, ten years later, Cameron has been invited to cook with Mia for a show special, and the two interact. This was cute, had lots of great cooking/restaurant stuff for those who love cooking shows, and next to no drama. Very fluffy. Light read.

Please excuse typos/name misspellings. Entered on screen reader.

Probably the sweetest book in this series.

I don't care much for the 2nd chance, but this one was done pretty good, despite silly misunderstanding and heroine's decision to leave the hero 10 years ago.

If not for many references to how the heroine was embarrassed and her body issues/lack of self-confidence, I would have enjoyed it much more.

Safety: he wasn't celibate during separation, but I didn't quite understand if she was or not... she mentioned she were in a long dry spell (I hope it lasted less than 10 years!)

Loved how he loved her. His love and adoration actually saved this book for me.

The series is over!

Cute epilogue.

I was happy to get back into Kristen Proby's 'Fusion' world. I had read the first four books YEARS ago and I'm not sure why I didn't read this one, but I'm so glad I picked it up. I think it's my favorite in the series.

Mia runs the kitchen in her group. She's the chef and has a strong personality. She works a ton and really cares about how things go and wants them her way. Then enters Camden Sawyer, an old flame. I loved getting Mia and Camden's back story. Camden was amazing and complimented Mia perfectly. Mia was great and so relatable! I love a good second chance romance and both of these characters had so much growth from the first time they were together.

If you're looking for a sweet second chance romance check this one out. Even though it's the last book in the 'Fusion' series, it can definitely be read as a stand-alone.

4 - ...I could fall in love with him... Again. Stars!

Book five in Kristen Proby’s Fusion series, finally gives us Mia Palazzo’s story. The prickly workaholic head chef of Seduction has kept a big secret from her business partners and best friends in the shape of an ex-husband; celebrity chef Camden Sawyer.

"It’d too early for your smoulder…"

The main reason why I love this author’s work, and why I will happily read everything she writes is that each and every time, she delivers on her characters, and by that I mean they are people I want to get to know, their vulnerabilities and quirks make me keep reading and the chemistry that she builds between them holds my attention.

I suspect that touch is this man’s love language… He’s a toucher.

I won’t lie and say that each and every story offers up the same depth, as over the years (and series) they have ranged from light and fluffy to deep and angsty. I would put Savor You firmly in the middle of that scale, because although Mia and Cam have history, the exploration into and the depth of their issues in the way the author delivered it all were actually quite low drama, but still with a decent level of emotion.

”I’ve fallen in love with a man that I think I’ve been in love with for ten years… I just don’t know how to tell him.

It doesn’t take the two of them to slot back into the kind of friendly (with benefits) relationship they had with each other a decade ago, and their mutual love of food helped eliminate any lingering doubts, although Mia’s struggles with her self-confidence added a little extra to the mix. Cam did his utmost to push her past the internal battles that were warring with her about her looks and lack of body confidence (totally understood her in that regards).

I know I will never spend another day in my life without her…

I devoured this book in one sitting, I loved the epilogue, the catch up five years on with everyone, rounded out what has been another absolutely brilliant series from this author. Proby has a formula for building a series, and adding in characters along the way whilst staying true to the base that everything originated from and has been built upon. She has been one of my go-to authors since the start of the With Me series, and I can’t see that changing anytime soon.

"You. This. I wasn’t expecting it."

I am behind my reading due personal issue. I still try to read. So bear it with me.

Savor You is sweet second chance romance. I found it a bit boring. The plot is predictable. The banter is OTT cheesy sometimes. It has been a while since I read Miss Proby's books.

Mia is fun and sassy. I am shock to learn that being chef is like a walking on the park. Camden does not have much part besides the sexy hero.

Favorite Quotes:

Marry him right now. Sweet, considerate, sexy men are unicorns. You’ll never see another one of them out in the wild. I know. I looked.

You two are ridiculously good looking… Is that a requirement to be a firefighter or EMT? That you have to be hot so you can make calendars and bring in a bunch of money in calendar sales?

My Review:

I can see what all the fuss was about. But I was horrified to realize I have lived this long without ever indulging in the hedonistic delight of reading a Kristen Proby book. But I have rectified that error in judgment and am thrilled to report the experience was everything I imagined it would be and more. Her writing was a fun, cleverly amusing, and tasty treat. The storylines were entertaining, well-paced, and a pleasure to engage in. I adored her quirky yet relatable characters and enjoyed their clever banter and wit as much as the sweet and sexy second chance romance. But the delectable descriptions of the food had me salivating and smacking my lips as I read. I may have picked up a pound or ten from her delicious words alone.

3 3/4 "Easy breezy, romance" Stars!

I liked it. Super sweet, romantic, and sexy. No angst. Very nice and easy chilled read/listen. I Mostly listened to the audiobook. Duel POVs and both male and female narrators- always a plus. There was a bit of a "you're perfect just as you are" message in there. But it's not overdone.

Camden was very laidback... And he was a romantic, sweetheart with just a tiny bit of alpha thrown in. Mia was kind of high strung at times, and a bit abrasive but she was cool. She was passionate about things. I liked them both. I'm happy for them.

KP has my number with this style story she writes. Nice wrap up for the series and I'm looking forward to what she has coming next! Happy reading!

PS. There are recipes at the end of the book! 👍

“I’m not going to rush this. I want to explore you a bit.”

For those of you who have waited patiently, or not so patiently, for Mia’s happily ever after, the wait if finally over! SAVOR YOU is here and it does NOT disappoint! In fact, it blew FAR past any expectation I had, and let me tell you, my expectations were sky high because I absolutely ADORE this series! Proby combines all my favorite things: food, sex, banter, and romance, and put it in a heartfelt, sweet, funny, and ADDICTIVE romance, giving us book five in her swoon-worthy contemporary romance series, FUSION.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved these characters! I mean, Mia Palazzo is ALL OF US! She’s feisty, hilarious, and loyal. She says what’s on her mind and doesn’t give a shit what anyone else thinks. She will do ANYTHING for her friends and even though she might rub people the wrong way, it makes her completely genuine. Camden Sawyer is Mia’s PERFECT match! I fell HARD for both of them and I just know that YOU will too!

Full of hilarity, passion, and scorching hot love scenes, this second chance romance is one that every single romance reader will want on their shelves and in their hearts!

I’ve a love-hate relationship with the Masterchef series. Let’s just say when the conditions are right, I’m glued to my seat, salivating as I watch the magic that’s whipped up with the freshest ingredients, the state-of-the-art kitchen and the creative ideas that the chefs spin out of thin air. Kristen’s Proby ‘Savor You’ has that sort of feel to it which I liked and would probably appeal to die-hard foodies—involving celebrity chefs and the fascinating world of gastronomy.

But as I soon found out, the pairing didn’t appeal to me at all. There is some heavy history between Mia and Camden, until you learn that she’d done something unforgivable a decade ago in here. Yet using trite words such as ‘I’m a horrible person’ couldn’t justify the weight of her actions enough to me, nor did they simply make it alright. That Cam merely accepted them like the history didn’t matter—without a hint of anger or a grudge—left me bewildered. But then, I’m the one imagining that time doesn’t quite heal such deep wounds without scars for you to remember them.

It didn’t help that I found Mia prickly as she waffled between self-pity and bitchiness, frequently prone to overreactions and pretty much in need of valium and a psychiatrist’s chair with her control issues and emotional fluctuations. My esteem of her dropped further after learning what she did to Cam years ago and this is the part that I feel, that Proby glossed through (or called it ‘moving in’) in favour of a fluffier, less-angsty and more sex-filled read, because it did seem what Mia did so long ago required more than just blithe and brief statements of regret and apologies. But her way of ‘righting’ wrongs was only done because of the work arrangement with Cam; otherwise, it seemed as though she had no intention of revisiting that part of her life and reflecting on the enormous mistake she made.

‘Savor You’ was ultimately a middling read for me that I quickly lost interest in without the emotional spikes and valleys I’d hoped to feel given Mia/Cam’s contentious history, so it’s probably clear that this wasn’t the book for me at all.

I loved this series from book 1, I loved the characters and the light plot. Also the love scenes are extremely hot and enjoyable, with the right amount of sexiness to keep things interesting. Some drama by the end of the book, as in all of them, but what can I say? I am a sucher for romance:)

4.25 ‘Perfect Timing’ Stars

Ahhh… I can’t believe the last Fusion is here! Talk about bittersweet!

That’s right, Mia’s story is finally here and Savor You was the perfect cherry on top of this extraordinary series.
After that explosive revelation at the end of The Beauty of Us, all Kristen Proby fans, like yours truly, have been counting down the days to the release of Mia and Camden’s story, because hot damn, the past of these two is to important, to stay in the past, and when Camden is brought to Mia’s life, all of those memories come rushing back. And what memories they are…

I cannot work next to this man every day. I’ll climb him like a damn tree after the first day.

I thought I was over her. Hell, I am over her. But not even two minutes after seeing her again I wanted to strip her naked and fuck her senseless.

With Camden now in her every day life, it’s impossible for them to resist the incredible attraction they once let loose and when things when they separated, they tried to deny. The chemistry between them truly is sizzling and it’s undeniable.

“Whether you believe me or not, I think you’re the sexiest woman I’ve ever met.”
“Okay.”
“And I’m going to kiss you.”

Mia, the workaholic chef, and big responsible for the huge success that is the girl’s Seduction, has tried to move on with her life even though that event in the past left its mark. Even though she’s secure in herself, specially as a professional, and her image. She is a curvy, sexy and successful renown chef, and she owns it. But at times she reveals a hidden fragility, where comments about her curvy figure affect her, like they would hurt deep down, anyone who is criticized, and I just adored that with Camden, even in the past, she had no doubts that he adored her for who she was, every part of her, he showed her every time they were together. It was even hard for her to let that fully sink in. A lifetime of mean comments and bullies, did that to her, but fortunately she had Camden and all gang to prove her otherwise. Even her brother, Landon, made an amazing point on the subject, lol. ;)

"And suddenly, this super-hot guy wanted me.” I turn and stare at Cami, just as confused now as I was then. “Why did he do that?”
“Because he was hot for you,” Landon says. “Because he’s not an asshole and knows that women come in all shapes and sizes, and you’re an amazing girl.”

Camden was such a fantastic and swoon worthy hero! Truly the whole package: drop dread handsome, absolutely enchanted by Mia, and so sweet and caring that it was impossible for her to resist. The celebrity chef, had tried to move on from the heartbreak, ten years prior, but just being in Mia’s presence we could see all his feelings for her coming back to surface. I adored that he didn’t try to fight it, and made everything in his power to show Mia, that he was ready to win her back again, holding nothing back, and not allowing their past to stop them to have it all. The only down point in my eyes, was my dreaded ‘have always loved you, never stopped loving’ statement, that I really could go without, and everyone that follows me knows I dislike when it’s clear they moved on, so that statement becomes mute in my eyes, lol. Apart from those statements, their love and devotion in the story was palpable, beyond heartfelt, and I love how they realized that timing really was everything.

Maybe the time is right now. Maybe you both needed to grow up and experience some life so you’d appreciate each other even more when you finally found each other again.”

Kristen Proby really has a gift of creating the most emotional and realistic love stories and Camden and Mia’s Savor You is exactly that, an emotional journey that shows us the importance of communication, personal growth and timing. These characters makes us see things with different eyes, and reevaluate certain aspects of our every day lives, that’s how powerful Ms. Proby’s words touch us and make us think and feel. Their story touched my heart and I was so rooting for these two to get their much deserved HEA. I adored the full circle aspect of their story, and I couldn’t have asked for a better ending. A second chance at love and life in every way… <3

I do love Mia. Fiercely. I want to claim her, to be with her for as long as I live. My life just isn’t the same when she isn’t in it.

I think that we were always supposed to be a family, the timing just wasn’t right yet. But here you are, and I just couldn’t love you any more than I do.”

I’m so so sad to see this brilliant series go. What an amazing series of empowered women! Fusion was the perfect example of Kristen Proby absolutely gifted and epic writing. These five ladies are a group I won’t soon forget, better yet, never! Savor You gave such an amazing closure for all of them and their loved ones, that left me teary eyed with all the beauty and happiness they ended up as their HEA. That epilogue was the PERFECT wrap up for all the Fusion girls! And even more on the bright side, with Ms. Proby announcing her Manhattan series, we have something new to look forward to. A perfect goodbye for an epic series, a true golden – or better yet, diamond – key closure!

“But at the end of the day,” Kat reminds us, “not only do we have a successful business, but we’ve managed to stay friends, too. And that’s rare, you guys. I love you. Each of you. That’s more important that the restaurants, the money, any of it.”
“Of course,” I add as the others nod. “As long as we have each other, there’s not anything we can’t do.”

Yes finally it's feisty Mia's turn. I 've been looking forward to getting to know Mia since this series started. As the series has grown we have gotten to know her more she is sassy feisty stubborn passionate and needs things done her way. She is a brilliant character. Mia keeps the rest of the girls in there toes. But this book you get to see who Mia really is and what happened with Camden. The ex she was goin to start working with and that she had history with. Memories are getting to dug up from her past and she has to explain it all to her 4 best friends as well. To make things worse Camden still looks amazing and her feels for him were just has strong has they were years ago if stronger now.

Camden is such a great guy. He mite even be my favourite man in this series. Which is hard cause these men are all so good. But these woman need good men there so strong and protective of each other and really kick butt in the restaurant world. I really do luv strong woman there isn't one of them that I don't like. But back to Camden. I really liked the way that Camden dealt with seeing Mia again after his things were left between. He needed answers and he was goin to get them. He isn't a pushy guy but he isn't a walk over either. He knew Mia needed space so he let her have it even though he really wanted to know why thing went a lil crazy between them.

Free Image Hosting at FunkyIMG.com

I really enjoyed this book. Finally seeing Mia start to relax and let people help was so good I never thought that she could do. I love how Camden just worked his way back into her life. He knew that he wanted another shot so your was taking what was taken from him and that was Mia. Sometime Mia is her own worst enemy her confidence is strong and being a chief is what she knows and loves it's what's give her the lil confidence she has. But Camden helped build that up for her he is Mr Prefect. The way he treats her and understands her is so good. I thought there story was great Mia deserves a good man to look after her.

I would highly recommend this book and series, basically anything from this author. I luv her books. I've read everyone of her books and luvd all of them. Her books just keep getting better and better. I'm gutted this series is over its one of my favourites. I love the girl power in this series. The 5 woman are so good at what they do at Seduction. I really like how strong and different all the woman are. It made me love this series more. I couldn't put the books down once I started them and this book was no different. I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this series! Loved the close friendships between all of the women and how much they cared and supported each other through their love lives, their professional goals and all other things.

This was a sweet 2nd chance at love story. Mia definitely f-ed it up when they were young, but it was nice to see her own it and work to fix it. I appreciated how hard-working she was, how passionate she was, and how she was aware of and owned her issues. I hated that she was so insecure at times, but I also understood it, and there couldn't have been a better guy to support and love her unconditionally than Camden. I think he really stole the show in this book - what a great guy. He was very supportive, a great listener, very intuitive, and just accepted Mia - flaws and all (she could be closed-off, overly sensitive, easy to rile up, etc., but it was just her defense mechanism, and he got that) - and loved her deeply just as she was. I really loved how hard he worked to be a great partner to Mia and not change her. He was also sexy AF, as were their naked times. ;-p

Sad this series is over, but excited to see that KP has a new one coming out this summer! I'll definitely be reading it! :-)

This was a very sweet, cute, fluffy read.

Mia and Camden have history together and we see the chemistry as soon as they are in the same room. Their romance was really sweet and adorable. Camden is a hopeless romantic and Mia is more on the tougher side but they made it work together so well. Overall, I was pretty content with this read.

Savor You was a delicious way to end another fantastic series by Kristen Proby. This was a pleasure to read I loved Mia and Camden together.

I always wondered who would be the guy to tame Mia as she has always come across as a hot tempered chef who had many mood swings in previous books in this series. I liked Mia she is a perfectionist and she expects the same from her staff hence her temper tantrums. She is honest, loyal and caring and I felt for her how everyone except her girl posse and Camden says she is overweight, you are what you are.

After the bombshell Mia dropped at the end of Beauty For Us I was expecting Camden to be mean n moody with a grudge against Mia but what I got was a sweet, sensitive great guy who was going to get the girl that got away and make her his.

Mia and Camden are so sweet together they just take it day by day getting to know each other again. I loved all the flirty banter, the sex is scorching and the cooking made me hungry lol, these two just clicked for me a perfect couple.

This story was perfection for me everything came together perfectly and I loved catching up with the four other couples from the Fusion series and finding out about all the babies they all had, a wonderful epilogue to finish a wonderful series.

I loved this synopsis and I’m always eager to find a new sorbet author, so I was excited to read this one.

I really liked Mia and Camden. They’re both strong and driven people. I really liked that they were both chefs and had that outlet in common. There’s a pretty big cast of characters and all of the people from previous books are in this story.

Plot wise it nearly all fluff. There are a few bits of conflict, but this couple communicates and does it well. The constant thread of Mia’s weight got fairly repetitive; however, I enjoyed being in both of their heads.

Overall it was a quick and cute read filled with characters who really loved and supported each other. I just might go back and check out the previous books in the series.

I have been waiting for Mia's story since the first book in this series as she has been one of my favorites! Mia is the the chef at Fusion, and she is a bit bossy, controlling, and a perfectionist. She can also be sweet, funny, and has a big heart. She has seen her best friends and her brother now find love, but she is guarded, and has trust and self worth issues.

Camden is a celebrity chef who is now coming to Fusion to film a TV show with Mia...the girl who got away...well, technically she ran away from him ten years ago just leaving a note. He is successful, wealthy, and has had great opportunities over the years. He also tends to be a work-a-holic and has focused on his career. But he still has unresolved feelings about their past.

But he is still charming, sexy, thoughtful, and protective. He flirts and looks at her like she is beautiful. And their reconnection might just be what they both need. They have a great rapport, work well in the kitchen together, and have hot chemistry. They are two career oriented people finding out that maybe they could use a bit more balance and fun in their lives. But they also have to deal with their past, personal issues, and face some challenges in order to figure out if there can be a future for them this time.

Camden is such a good match for the feisty Mia. Even though he also likes control, he comes off as more laid back and relaxed than she is. And he encourages her to have her own life outside the restaurant and gives her a reason to want to. And Mia is easy to relate to due to her insecurities. Even though she could be stubborn and guarded, she really just wanted to believe that someone could love her unconditionally.

This is a sweet, sexy, swoony, heartfelt second-chance love story about timing, communication, and fate. It is also Mia's journey of finding self worth and self love. And finally is is the Fusion series finale and leaves us with a lovely epilogue to say goodbye to all of these characters we have come to love. It is my favorite of the series and left me with a big smile on my face seeing how far this group of friends and family has come since the beginning.

I was gifted a copy.

I have enjoyed all of the Fusion stories, but I admit, Mia's is the one I have been looking forward to the most. I loved her fire, her passion, and her willingness to focus on what's important to her, even if it makes her look like she is difficult and unfeeling.

Mia and Camden, as we discovered in a previous book, have a history. It's a little messy, and it's a little unresolved. But, I loved how it was handled. With the maturity of looking back at a situation that happened 10 years before, and being willing to see how the other would have felt, and admit their own parts in what was a giant misunderstanding where both didn't know how the other felt.

One of the things I like best about Kristen Proby novels is that there isn't always a big break up, and the tension and conflict often comes from outside of the relationship without breaking them up. This book felt like an exploration of a relationship, and a exploration of how that relationship evolves when there is communication and a couple of people who want to see where things go.

I loved that Mia isn't stick thin and perfect. Women come in all shapes and sizes, but romance heroines often come in just one, perfect, size. This made her human...and it made you really love Camden, because he loved her for who she was...the temper, the less than "perfect" size...he loved Mia for all of the things she was, and all of the things she wasn't...and this made their story a fun read.

One of my favorite things about a Kristen Proby novel is how she writes women, and the strength of the relationships they have with other women. These are women you want to get to know, to hang out with, and to become friends with...as their relationships are real, and they discuss real things about women...which is a nice break in the middle of the perfection of life in a romance novel.

This is a standalone, however it is part of the interconnected Fusion stories. In fact, this is the last one...although I am sad to see this series end, as I have enjoyed it, and these women.

I enjoyed this title overall.

Savor You is the final book in the Fusion series of interconnected contemporary romance books (each book is about one of the women who run the restaurant).

This series is about a group of women who are best friends. They run a successful restaurant in Portland. Savor You is Mia's story (she is the chef at Seduction).

We were given a huge bombshell at the end of the last book (The Beauty of Us). That revelation made me super excited to read Mia's story.

Mia runs the kitchen at Seduction. But now she is also going to be doing a tv show. I enjoyed the idea of the tv show. But I don't think that we really got enough of that part of the story to make it truly interesting.

I enjoy these books a lot. The premise of the restaurant being romantic and the friendships between these women is great. These books are mostly light. They are fun, funny and sexy. My only complaint is that I wish that they were more unpredictable. There were definitely a few interesting parts towards the end of Savor You (that I was not expecting). But I do wish that there was more of that throughout the book.

I definitely enjoyed the flirty banter in this book. It was an enjoyable read. And we did get an epilogue set in the future to tell us what all five women's lives were like then. This was a good series that really shows what women supporting each other and working together can look like.

Thanks to edelweiss and William Morrow Paperbacks for allowing me to read this book.

Loved it!!! 5 great big stars. My favorite of the series. I thought stubborn, grouchy, perfectionist Chef Mia would cause problems and drama with her issues and for fellow celebrity Chef Camden. But gladly she didn’t. Their relationship rocked along just smoothly after having spent 10 years apart. Loved that their past didn’t get in the way of their future. And Camden was the perfect guy and knew just how to smooth Mia’s grumpy edges. Thought Jake was my fav hero in this series, then maybe easy going Trevor but nope…hands down it’s Camden!!! And I loved the cooking theme to this book, that was fun.

The epilogue was fantastic with all the couples, knowing how many babies they all had over the years after this story ended. Sigh….so sad to see this series end. It was sure a good time read while it lasted. :D

I am also an Abby Craden stan for life. I adore her voice.

I’m a little upset with my booky friends for not telling me that I MUST read Kristen Proby – I adored this book and can’t believe I’ve gone so long not knowing her work that I’ve got a bunch of “catch up” to do. But for my introduction I got to read Mia’s story, the last in this series of five women, friends and business partners in the restaurant Seduction in Portland. Mia’s been tapped for a new competition show on THE up and coming food network, and while she’s not wholly enthusiastic, she’s ready to give it her best. But when she discovers that her competition is Camden, her first love and worst mistake, she’s not sure she can do this. Embarrassed by her behavior some ten years earlier, struggling with her own self-esteem and worthiness after a few pounds and more than a few explosive moments in her kitchen leave her working ALL the shifts with help she really can’t rely on, and Camden being sexier (if possible) than he was years ago – she’s in tumult.

Camden only signed on to the show to work with Mia – the girl he compares everyone else to with her curvy frame, her boldness when cooking and her laugh. He spent the past ten years building a reputation and becoming the hottest celebrity chef on the planet, all while keeping tabs on Mia’s progress and dealing with the hurt from years ago when she left.

From years of feeling not “quite” enough, her mother’s subtle (and not so) digs about her weight, and her own low self-esteem – Mia is a control freak. Everything has a place, a way to be done, and everyone around her can’t help but see her work ethic and need to have things just so…a perfectionist who needs her cooks to jump on the train and do things her way. When Camden comes into the picture – their attraction is instant, but he’s also constantly and consistently working to show her she’s fantastic, sexy, pretty and above all – someone that people want to be around. Even before coffee. Maybe.

So flippin sweet – Camden and Mia both have issues that need working through, and to talk about the reason they first split – but even more important to Camden is to show Mia that she is worth it. In every way. Sexy, sweet and clever – Mia’s internal back and forth is something everyone can relate to – no one is solidly in the “I am great and everyone should love me” at all times, and while there was a bit more weight obsession for Mia here than I wanted to see, she’s not someone who yo-yo diets or deprives herself - the food (even simple brownies and ice cream) become a delight for readers. Sexy, steamy and with an epilogue that brings all of the characters together to show the progress, success and laughter that has withstood business, relationships, children and time – it’s a lovely story bringing all of the happy endings that every romance reader needs.

I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via Edelweiss for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Ok. Don’t ask me why i finished all 5 books if i didn’t enjoy them, lol. I really only cared for the second book!

BUT I’m SO ANNOYED BECAUSE WHY DOES ALMOST EVERYONE NEED TO GET PREGNANT AND MARRIED IN EVERY BOOK???

There was only ONE book out of FIVE that didn’t have someone getting married or pregnant ! It almost felt forced in every single book.

Also, the dialogue between the characters, especially in this one, sounded like teenagers instead of 30 year olds.

I’m gonna lay off the authors books for a while. I really don’t think they’re my style. Or maybe I’m getting over the cliche of what romance books have become. Not realistic at all. *sigh*

Savor You is the cherry on top of the Fusion series and so much more!

I’ve loved each installment of the Fusion series, while these books are fabulous romances, it’s deep and abiding love between these five amazing women that has owns my heart completely. What I love so much is that it is such a positive and genuine portrayal of friendship between women - they are honest and never cutting, who do everything to lift each other up. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the every single bit of the romance between the couples, but the friendship? SWOOOOOOOOOOOON.

While each of these women is a force in their own right, Mia Palazzo has been this series gravitational pull and getting to really know her is an absolute privilege. She gives her all and demands the best of not only herself, but everyone around her. Those that don’t know her, can’t appreciate it. Those that love her, do everything to support her, put also ground her when it is absolutely necessary. I loved Mia in every form and mood.

Camden Sawyer is all the swoony goodness you could want and more. What I loved most of all is just how much he respected Mia and let her shine. He was her champion and well, there is nothing sexier than that!

I am a big fan of second chance romance and the reunion of these two is pure catnip. Kristen Proby does a great job of capturing just how right they are for each other now. For them it was never a question of chemistry, but perhaps that they needed to get more life under their individual belts. It was a joy to witness their rediscovery with (very) generous sides of sexy and sass.

If you haven't had a chance to read this series -- Make it your mission. You will not be disappointed.

Happy reading!!!

And to end up a great series, Mia and Camden were the right choice.

4.5 stars

After following Addy, Cami, Kat, Riley and Mia's lives, seeing Seduction (their super sexy restaurant) grows, and watching most of them find their HEA, it was about time for Mia to get her love and even more happiness.

This is a standalone between Mia and Camden - although it's better if you've already read the previous books - and it's also a second chance romance.

They were both friends and even more than that ten years ago, but for lack of communication and imaturity (from both sides, which is totally expected at that time in life), Mia and Camden go their separate ways, without ever really moving on.

They both turned out to be succesful, but never commited to anyone. Until they meet again.

"It's like I'd been in the desert for a week and she was a cool drink of water."

So much has changed, and at the same time, everything is still the same. They grew, they are more mature, they learnt from their mistakes and they are now wiser. But they are still the one to make the other laugh, they still have crazy chemistry, they still trust and love each other. They have a lot to learn about each other, but they have the advantage of already had learnt so much.

"I want to stay here with you, all day, and do this. Relearn you. Feed you. Laugh with you. F*** you."

They have baggage and a life to rule, but they also now have each other to make life even prettier. They mold and compromise and they are willing to put themselves vulnerable to love again, and to love permanently.

"I just got you back in my life, and I'm not ready to lose you again this soon."

After everything, it was great seeing how everyone's lives go, how they grow, and build their family and career, how they change their lives for the best, how they conquer and win.

After all is said and done, they have the best part.

"You are the best part of my life, Mia"
