Originally published as part of the USA Today bestselling anthology Eye Candy, Fallen Crest Nightmare brings readers the characters—and the scares—in this companion novella to Tijan’s New York Times bestselling world! This novella also includes a never before published bonus scene from this Halloween tale. The characters of the popular Fallen Crest series are back together for a night of mischief! Sam, Mason, and the rest of the gang enter a Halloween-themed weekend with pumpkin carving, a girls’ night out, and a terrifying haunted house, but the weekend takes a turn into something far more sinister….
what in the ever loving fuck Tijan !!!!!!! Are you trying to kill me cause I swear to gawd you pretty much did. This book did a number on me and if you are a huge fan of FCH series this book will definitely have you shouting.
I can almost picture Tijan sitting nice and comfy in a chair with an evil giggle.
It was full of suspenseful and OMFG WTF moments that will have your heart racing.
Probably wasn't the best idea to read this in between watching scary movies - Scream, Annabelle Comes Home, and Halloween (1, 2, & H20: 20 years later). Pretty much been jumpy all weekend.
I digress, though.
This was a fun, thrilling, and good short read to put me in more Halloween spirit. It is possible to read within 1-2 days as it is 16 chapters (131 pages).
Story Plot
This book started out as a Halloween weekend with the whole Fallen Crest gang, but ended up waaay scarier and suspenseful with who is this "ghostface" faceless murderer. There was definitely some Scream vibes with the depiction of the mask and outfit, as well as the slashing occurring around/to the gang. But, none of it was real as this was a nightmare Sam had post bar hopping with the girls.

Overall -
My only complaint with this book was toward the end in the bonus scene. It got a little confusing as the author switched briefly as if it was Mason's POV, when this novella is told from only Sam's POV.
Although there were moments that made me slightly scared/feel fearful, it also had some really funny moments like Heather and Sam farting glitter unicorn costume, which gave me a good laugh. Basically, this was a fun quick spooky read for this Halloween weekend!
I read this last year in the Eye Candy anthology. At the time I had not read Fallen Crest High and this was the reason I bought the books to read them. Loved Mason!
Your favorite Fallen Crest characters are enjoying a little bit of fun this Halloween. With Mason back in town, the gang is all here to enjoy the pleasures of the holiday. With a Girls Night planned, Samantha and her friends head out to enjoy a tour of Logan’s very haunted house. What they didn’t expect was to cross paths with a man in black that will change the course of the night. A scary tale that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time!!
Each story in Eye Candy is as unique as the author her penned it!! Five novellas that are sure to treat you to the most epic of Halloween celebrations with some of your favorite characters. All of the stories were engaging and full of Halloween fun!!
I seriously just love this series. The dynamic between Mason, Logan, and Sam is just amazing. They are truly family. This one was an interesting Novella. I feel like for a novella a ton happened. I seriously was so confused especially when people ended up dead. I was so confused and couldn't believe what was happening. I love the fact that Sam and Mason don't do drama. Not between the two of them. This Novella was perfect. Short and sweet and a great addition to the Cade story.
Sometimes it's good to just let the characters be ... Seven books and I know tijan wanted to just give us extra layers of Sam and the fam but I just felt like it was ruining everything that I loved about this series
This was reviewed about 2yrs ago, I don't know where it went, but it's causing me to do a re-read, so yay!....lol
I remember this series as my guily pleasure read of the year! I devoured this one, and the next and the next, till I read them all. I was amazed at how much I loved all the teenage drama and how invested I got in the love triangles. I highly recommend this entire series! On this one we got to visit with the characters during Halloween 🎃. It was a great short that you'll highly enjoy once you become the fan I know you will be! I love reading everything about our Fallen Crest World!
A glitter farting unicorn! I finished the book and I cannot get the visual out of my head. So let me just tell you, I'm sitting here reading this book and I'm taking a sip of my coke and I get to the point where the girls are getting dressed in their costume. As soon as they hit the button for the contraption I'm swallowing my sip. Have you ever had coke shoot up your nose?! It hurts, something fierce! My boys are looking at me like I have lost my ever loving mind while I'm laughing like a hyena and trying to stem the burn coming from nose. On a serious note this book was great and if you are a fan of Tijan then you know nothing she creates is ever a disappointment. Read it, love it and review it. Please just be sure that you are not eating or drinking anything while reading it so you can avoid causing bodily harm to yourself. ;)
What a wonderful short trip back to Fallen Crest gang in this short Halloween read. It is always so fun to read about everyone, Fallen Crest High was my first Tijan read and to get updates on everyone is just icing on the cake. If you are a fan, I would highly recommend this read.
I just love this series, although this recent book had me feeling all different kind of emotions. I couldn't figure out what was real or not at first. It definitely kept me on my toes.
A new to me author that I'd definitely read again. Even without reading any of the other books in the series I was left shaking my head at this one. A perfect Halloween story
Miałam wrażenie, że historia ta trochę nie pasuje do całej serii. Byli ci sami bohaterowie, ale ogółem miałam wrażenie, że mogła to być zupełnie inna książka.
I almost had a heart attack, what started as a fun Halloween night with drunk Sam ends up like a nightmare, where everyone has to escape from a killer dressed as the Scream movie character. I almost prefer high school drama.😱😱😱😱 That said I loved seeing my favorite characters again, the Threesome Fearsome.
Okay i fucking hate you Tijan for doing this to me. Mason seriously ??!! Damn it. Now I can’t sleep. It’s literally 3 o’clock at night and I CAN‘T FUCKING SLEEP. Oh and by the way why didn’t they like cry over Heather ? Taylor was all drama and Heather was just ‘oh okay we need to find him’. That password though *sob*. Anyway great book but next time please write something where I won’t have to piss my pants. Thanks.

It was literally a nightmare, like the title so aptly chosen. Sam still didn't care at least twice that I noticed. There was a horrendously long breakfast scene where Tijan told us what EACH CHARACTER at for breakfast. Fucking fascinating.

I love the Fallen Crest series which I.love this one just as much. It was funny and heart pounding at the sane time.. If you love the Fallen Crest then you love this book.
Truth be told I read this way out of order, so some of the WHAT THE HECK moments lost their pizzaz. And yet Tijan still managed to make my spine tingle and heart race in this dark and spooky visit to the Fallen Crest gang.
It’s Halloween and Logan, Sam, Mason, Heather, Taylor and the rest of the gang are throwing an EPIC Halloween party. But there’s drama with Channing and the girls head out for a night of drinking. Drunk Sam shows up but so does a masked man. Suddenly stalkers are stalking, we’re being locked in basements and MURDER.
Don’t miss the bonus chapter at the end, it helps make up for all the trauma to our hearts.

Okay. So obviously with Tijan being an HEA writer we knew they things that were happening couldn’t possibly be. And the title gives it away really.
But. BUT Getting into the elements of comparing what’s going on in our psyche in the real world and how that translates into our nightmares was fascinating to watch. All of Sam’s biggest fears of loss of control and loss of her loved ones whom she’s tried so hard to keep safe, coming to life on page through her very VIVID nightmares was so much to process and get into her mind and help to understand a lot of the decisions she might have made in previous books.
I really enjoyed this even though I’ve read well beyond this in the time line 🥹

If you’re a lover of the Fallen Crest Series by Tijan, this is a must read! Since this series has ended I’ve been wishing for more, and this novella was a perfect step back in time to give us a little bit more of our favorite characters. Set during Halloween we are taken on a wild ride including the entire gang that will having you scratching your head, wanting to scream, and covering your eyes, from all the nightmarish things that happen in this novella.
I truly enjoyed this suspenseful read and twist in the series and I have to keep this review short, because so much happens that just can’t be written about. I will say the writing kept me hooked from beginning to end and I was unable to put this book down. I fell in love with Sam and Mason all over again and reading this novella made me want to pick this series from book one and start all over again. If you’re looking for a suspenseful quick read, or if you’re a lover of this series, you need to pick up Fallen Crest Nightmare today!
As a huge FCH fan I devoured this book when I first read Eye Candy but couldn’t stop myself from buying the novella too.
It takes place as Mason is playing full time NFL Football and Sam and Logan are completing their final year at college. Heather is visiting and things aren’t going well for her and Channing so they have a girls night to take her mind off it but there are few strange and scary things happening as well as a mysterious figure appearing to Sam. After a series of terrifying things take place Sam is left hurt and confused but willing to deal with what she has too to save Logan and Mason, not matter what the case. Things don’t really become clear until the end when all the OMG moments make sense.
I loved the added scene that was all about Sam and Mason and how she wants to right a wrong and he is there to offer support and you just gotta love his password
The fallen crest series will forever be my go to comfort read, as tijan seriously knows how to suck her readers in by creating amazing worlds and characters that just pull your heartstrings hard and make you fall in love till the very end. And this little holiday novella is exactly what we needed to fall back in love and reminisce with beloved characters via a new fun story! And the fact that it’s a Halloween novella is only twenty times better!!!
Masons back and the gang is once again reunited for a little fun and I am here for it!! Seeing everyone back again in a fun captivating new setting was definitely chefs kiss! Add in a mysterious man a la scream vibes on a spooky night in a haunted creepy setting and it’s a definite must read that will keep you on the edge of your seat till the end!
The Boy I Grew Up With ». Je l’ai quasiment fini je devrais donc en parler très prochainement sur le blog. https://kingdomofwordsblog.wordpress....
Sam is finding her groove in her senior year at college. Mason is playing NFL football in Massachusetts and comes back to see her during the season when he can. She and her friends arrange to have a girl's night out for Halloween. Strange and scary things happen to Sam and she is left shaken. She doesn't quite understand what really happened until the very end. The bonus scene was interesting and had Sam, again, trying to right a wrong that she has seen and wants to fix. I liked how Mason just went along with what she wanted and let her decide what she wanted to do. He stepped in when asked and came up with a pretty good plan. I liked how they both relied upon each other to make the plan work.
I think my expectations were a bit too high on this book and I thought it was more of an OK read in comparison of how I felt about her other Fallen Crest books.
I love the Fallen Crest series, hell, it was my addiction and a movie playing in my head each time I'd read and turn the pages of the book. This book had this its funny moments (thanks, Logan) and of course, angst & some Halloween fun thrown in the middle.
Majority of the book was about Sam's nightmare which nearly gave me a heart attack, but it was predictable towards the end of what was happening. As for the bonus scene, I always love Mason & Sam's moments together, but I wanted more.
Still worth reading & can't wait for more of Tijan's new stories!

This was good but different read. I wasn’t sure what to really expect when going in. I knew I was reading a Halloween story but that was it. From pretty much almost the beginning of the story I was kept guessing and wondering. It was like a who done it mystery. I knew for the most part what the outcome of the book was gonna be. This story takes place during the final chapter of Fallen Crest Forever. Even having a general knowledge of how the story would turn in the long run I was still left going….Huh! What!!! I’m frickening confused as all heck! I will leave you to read the story and let me know how you felt. As an added bonus there is a bonus scene added at the end of the book. Happy reading and don’t turn out the lights!
I did still like this but it wasn’t my favorite, it started out really good and completely sucked me in but then people started dyeing and that’s when it got weird for me. Obviously it wasn’t real and it was a dream because if you’ve finished the series you know everyone is alive and well. But it just got weirder and weirder and then she woke up but then woke up again. And then the random maze scene, which I liked and is totally on point with all the other books, there’s always a “bad guy” but I just felt like this jumped around way to much for how short it was. If this would have been a longer book and could have flowed together nicer without all the jumping I think I would have loved it because it is still a good book that I did like and enjoy most of.
