This space-opera graphic novel follows the relationship between earthling photographer Tetsuya and the headstrong alien princess Kahm as it threatens to lead to galaxy-wide war
What a finale to this amazing, classical manga. It's as action-packed as you'd expect from this series, and Manabe's art style really shines in these dramatic pages where Kahm and Tetsuya's tale quite literally goes up in flames. It's a surprisingly bittersweet ending, and emotional in all the best ways, as is befitting everything our heroes have gone through in their battle. I loved the epilogue episode very much - it felt very satisfying, and I love that Manabe loyally carries the same light-hearted, slapstick tone in his character interactions right to the very end. This is one of those series that just gets better as it goes on, and the last few volumes are definitely the best. Highly recommended if you can get your hands on this series.
Interesting choice for ending the series. I enjoyed the series as a whole and this one in specific. It isn't one I will likely go back to, but I did find it a fun read.
