Cassidy Jones was used to being alone. When her mother passed away, her father turned to alcohol leaving Cassidy to look after herself. She spent her days alone, floating on a river, content in her routine away from her abusive father. That was until she met the man that would change everything.
Landon Reynolds left his life in Los Angeles hoping for a change. He purchased a house on the river with the hope of starting over intending to never fall in love again.
When Cassidy met Landon she knew she should avoid falling in love. They tried just to be friends, but as the summer grew hotter so did their desire to be together. When the summer was over Cassidy knew she would never see Landon again. That's why she was shocked when she saw him in her sixth period class.
This was a DNF for me, I just couldn’t finish it. Which saddens me. I LOVE Student/Teacher Romances and there aren’t that many out there.
The characters were not likeable at all! They are drab, dull, two dimensional and have no substance. She is 16 and he is 28. She has the maturity of a 13 yr old. And he has the maturity of a 16 yr old. They dry hump, give hickies & play truth or dare. She gets mad that he knows a female teachers first name and he gets mad she’s jealous so they have a big fight. All cause he calls a fellow teacher by her name?!? (That’s when I stopped reading) Their interactions are just blah. I feel no love or attraction. His wife died and he didn’t want a relationship but all of a sudden is in love with this 16 yr old. There was no tension build up or anything that kept me riveted and wanting to continue reading this book.
And the typos! Oh my god! So many typos. First off.....The cover has a huge freaking typo! Umm hello!
Instead of “An”, “And” is used. Just about every sentence has a typo of some sort. Extra words added, words missing, words switched around & the same word multiple times. There is also one chapter that is repeated. I believe it was chapter 7. Halfway through the chapter it just restarts. Some proof readers are seriously needed.
