Gives easy to follow instructions for planting and maintaining your lawn. While all the details seem pretty daunting and you might get the impression that Christians and Ritchie advocate spending all of you life and money on taking care of your lawn, you can easily adapt their tips to your situation and budget. Not every lawn has to be perfect, but you can implement some of their steps and have a vastly improved lawn within a season without going overboard. Much of what they recommend I'd rather hire out, but that's just me. At least after reading this you have a better idea of what your lawn needs and what it will take to make it thrive.

Great simple overview. Covers everything a beginner needs to know without going too deep. Small enough to finish in just a couple hours.
