Dedication for the love of his country and an assignment that cost him the only woman he has ever wanted, T.C. Slater must pick up the pieces of his past and move into a new life. He is burying that past in a shot of whiskey when he meets the vivacious Chantel who appears to be burying things of her own. Together they embark on a new friendship that proves to heal old wounds. That is until the past unites them in a way they never saw coming.
I loved the spin off and to get to know Channy and Thomas, you see a different side to TC from the previous book, and I knew I would just love Chantel as she sort of reminds me of myself...big loud and brash, I can't wait to see what happens in book 2...there better be a book 2 on the cliff she left me. I give this 5 funny hot as hell stars *****
