Meet Denman Sno, a badass secret agent - Agent Prime.
Well, not so old-fashioned, and not really a private investigator, but I think this image nicely describes Sno. Even when credits start rolling, we don't know much about him.
But, let's say that this is the more appropriate setting to imagine:
Now, as an agent of the Special Service Division Denman carried out many, many missions on different worlds (Yep, it's a SciFi ;).
With other races around and almost everyone getting enhanced with serious implants it's unusual seeing an agent outfitted with only basics. But, since checks and controls would flag him, and basically make it impossible for him to do his job, Agent Prime is a vanilla as it gets. With the exception of some communication implants, of course.
This makes following his missions very interesting as Denman frequently needs to think quickly on his feet. This is where Bible shines, throwing in the unusual and avoiding the expected cliches to keep us guessing.
Anyway, after one of his missions spectacularly fails Agent Prime is sent home for "vacation." But things don't turn out to be so vacation-y as one would expect. People start popping up in Sno's life and soon he realizes that he's in for all but the vacation he was forced on.
The story picks up quickly and the action gets all over the place. There are no long descriptions or unnecessary explanations, something is always happening. And, more often than not, Denman is in the thick of things.
This image pretty much sums up what you can expect from the book. A very good narration by Andrew Wehrlen makes it even better.
There are hits and misses here and there, but nothing that detracts too much from the enjoyment. The only thing I can point out is the space battle of oddly-equipped fighters. Weird time compression when 60 minutes pass within two paragraphs additionally increases the weirdness of the situation itself. Can't say much more without ruining it, but you will feel it's weird, too :-)
In the end, a solid 4*. If there's ever a sequel, I can see it go to 5 easily. Every Jake's sequel turns out better than the lead book :-) If there's Andrew to lend his voice again, I'd buy the book in the blink of an eye.
Agent Prime by Jake Bible (Goodreads Author), Andrew B. Wehrlen (Goodreads Author) (Narrator)
Verdict Nicely packed SciFi special agent action Runtime 07:37 Overall Performance Story
Denman Sno is Agent Prime, the best of the Fleet Intelligence Service's elite Special Service Division. He is the best of the best, and he will need all his skills for his next quest. His new assignment is to protect and deliver Pol Hammon, the galaxy's greatest dark tech hacker, to Galactic Fleet headquarters. But he feels like he is thwarted at every opportunity!! Is someone he trusts a traitor?
This was so much fun, all the while being fast paced and action packed!! It takes place in the same universe as Roak, and Roak even gets a mention in this!! I loved pretty much all of it. The plot was entertaining, exciting and surprising in places. I loved seeing Agent Prime in action and he is a character that has grown on me. Kind of like Bond in a way!! All the characters were well written and developed, with Denman being my favourite!
In all, a fun read. Jake Bible has created an amazing world, filled with action, adventure and characters you will love.
Andrew B. Wehrlen read this really well. He is always easy to listen to and is clear and concise. I'm looking forward to the next one!!

( Format : Audiobook ) "Should have, could have, would have, but ... " The perfect partnership of author and narrator makes this a must read book for fans of S.F., thrillers, and humour. Written in Jake Bible's destinctive quick fire style, filled with believably eccentric characters and the throwaway comments and conversations, whist still providing vivid visual violent episodes in remarkable situations, Agent Prime is also both funny or humerous throughout.
Agent Prime finds himself outwitted at almost every turn as his missions go awry and he finds himself on a bounty list as well. Fast paced and furious, funny and very enjoyable, the whole is further enhanced by Andrew Werhlen's performance whose brisk delivery matches that of the text. The characters are individually and appropriately voiced, his reading well intoned and a pleasure to hear.
A fast book, a fun book, exciting and colourful. I hope Mr.Bible will give us more Prime in the future. A big thank you to the rights holder who freely gifted me a complimentary copy of this book, at my request, via Audiobook Boom. I loved it.
Apparently this is another book in a much larger universe from this author, but as somebody approaching it fresh, this book did not have too much baggage of that shared universe to prevent it from being an enjoyable book.
Denman Sno is Agent Prime, the top agent for the Fleet Intelligence Service's Special Service Division and after one mission has gone awry, he is sent home on leave, but this was merely a ruse for his next secret and vitally important mission, which is to help Pol Hammon get to Galactic Headquarters.
What follows is an entertaining series of incidents involving Denman, Pol and a varied supporting cast of characters that together from a novel with quite a cinematic feel to it.
The narrator of this book further helps to enhance the overall story with a strong performance for all the main cast and others.
Overall, I enjoyed this scifi spy thriller of a book and am more interested in this Galactic Fleet universe as a whole because of it.

Denman Sno, aka Agent Prime, is the latest character in Jake Bible’s Galactic Fleet universe. Intelligent, driven, wealthy, and honorable, he is a savvy “white knight.” He is on the opposite side of the legal spectrum from Roak, the feared bounty hunter, but shares several traits. Both are driven, follow a code of honor, and incredibly deadly when necessary.
Aside from the Roak series, this is my favorite GF novel. It follows a character who, like Roak, I can root for. Whereas Roak is constantly on missions that knowingly match him with shady characters he needs to help him collect his bounties, Sno tries to avoid that crowd while also relying of help from undercover agents. Neither of them get to see the world at face value, leading to similar plights from different angles. I enjoyed this book, especially as it has similarities to the Roak series but is different enough to be unique. I’d like to read more about Agent Prime In the future.
Disclaimer. I had requested and received audible version of this book for free from the narrator, in exchange for an unbiased review.
What I liked about the book - It's the dynamite duo of Jake Bible and Andrew Wehrlen - which always sets high expectations. And almost always it pays off. This time too. The story is a trademark thriller from Jake where the story is very well written and keeps you on the edge of the seat for most part of the book. The character of the protagonist, as well as all the others are realistic and makes you connect with them. The book was a potboiler entertainer, through n through.
What I disliked about the book - None.
Narration - I can copy paste my opinion of Andrew Wehrlen's narration in almost any book. His performance is always top class and always makes me feel like I'm listening to a movie. He can never go wrong.
Mr. Jake Bible, author of “Agent Prime,” has written a briskly paced, fun, and humorous “James Bond, 007,” homage, centered in his “Galactic Fleet” universe.
The author is on his game in “Agent Prime,” as the story, narrative, characters all intertwine and move at speed. The writing skill set that Mr. Bible is capable of, is on display, though as usual, he at times gets distracted by entertaining himself, getting a little too cute, interrupting an otherwise very enjoyable read.
The story synopsis at the POS is adequate, so no need to repeat.
“Agent Prime,” is highly recommended and was fully read via Kindle Unlimited.
A secret agent with more style than Roak but with a few similarities, born of money but living for the adventure he is Denman Sno their best Agent aka Agent Prime. This story kicks off not too long after the Roak Razor adventure with Pol Hammon the slippery tech hacker and their is enough action with a bit of 007 woman action to bring a smile to your face and a few impoasible situations. This has the Roak feel that i like so much but feels more 007 in space with the calm and collected wit. A good listen with ABW putting in a solid sterling performance.
I truly wasn’t expecting much of this book but to my surprise i discovered a well written, well executed enjoyable book that when it ended I found myself wanting more ! I really liked Agent Prime character and hope that there will be more of him in new books. Jake Bible wrote a great story. As usual Andrew B. Wehrlen narration was flawless.
Absolutely Recommended !
For an honest review I’ve accepted this audiobook for free.
Being Agent Prime is a dangerous job so it's a good thing there are med pods around. Secrets, misdirection, and bots make this mission deadly. Another great story in the same universe as Roak and Galactic Vice, it kept me guessing as to what was really going on behind the sleights of hand. Great stuff!
This book, like all of jake bibles books, was awesome. Sno was interesting and pol was shifty. I can never get enough of the worlds jake brings to life in his books. I have a feeling roak, prime, and sm1 are gonna come to a head one day and thats fine by me. Should be one hell of an adventure.
I think after Z-Burbia, the books in the Galactic Fleet universe are my next favourite. I’m slowly collecting all of Jake Bible’s work that is available in print, but I’ve still got quite a few left to acquire/read. I’ll get there eventually! I think the next series up is going to be his Mega series, since I’ve already got book one.
Great story, good character development and a great storyline. The twists and plots of this story was superb. I'll definitely be reading more from this author.
