Home Run King

Rate this book
My life was what country songs are made my Granny died, my girlfriend broke up with me, I knocked up her cousin, and I was inducted into the Major League Hall of Fame. Yup…just like every country song I’ve ever heard.

But let me start over…

My name is Gage Nix. That’s all you need to know.

Actually, there’s a lot more to Gage than meets the eye. My name’s Katie Crisp, and I had a front row seat and the inside scoop.

In a moment of grief and desperation, I allowed the Home Run King to…well, hit a home run on my diamond. He not only knocked it out of the park, but he also knocked me up.

Raising two babies—the one I was carrying, and Gage—wasn’t what I signed up for. But he gave me no choice. I only wish I hadn’t waited until the end of the season to see that he was my MVP.

Oh, and the only hall of fame he’s ever been inducted into is his own.

This was such a winner.
Sports romance / slow burn romance with baby on board.
This book was so much more than I had anticipated. The build up to Gage and Katie's deepening relationship was so entertaining and well written. I loved these characters.
Have never read a book by either of the two authors that collaborated on this book-Leddy Harper and Stephie Walls-but would be really interested to see some of their solo efforts.
I enjoyed this so much more than I would ever have thought. Standout book for me.

Have Nix is MINE!

Gage Nix is MINE, that's all you need to know! Just kidding you need to know more. I freaking loved this book! It's got a bit of romcom, enemies to lovers, and sports all blended together for explosive combination. I was literally snorting in laughter from beginning to end...it's a good thing Gage is pretty because he sure would have you believing he's dumb, but then you get the nuggets of perfection and thoughtfulness that are unpredictably brilliant and you go from shaking your head to sighing...you just can't help but love him. I've decided Katie is a saint for having the patience to handle him lol She's sassy, strong, and feisty. They are my new favorite couple! Stella knocked it out the park with this one! I definitely recommend it.

One of the best sport romance I have read in the last year
Gage and Katie after a ONS end up pregnant and I mean they end up pregnant because it takes two ...
Even though she is pregnant this is a slow burn with some sexy scenes I mean they slowly build a relationship and they bond
Funny and sweet one of the best book I ve read recently and even though this trope is over exploited the author cut it in a cute and not predictable or granted way

0.5 les for too much parents drama not needed Recommended

Stella hits a grand slam with Home Run King! They take a well known trope, enemies to lovers, and make it their own in a way that is fresh and intriguing. This book is a gem with so many facets that the story sparkles like a diamond. (I’d apologize for the baseball puns, but they’ll probably continue.) Individually, the ladies that make up Stella are brilliant writers, but, together, the hilarious banter, detailed imagery, and heartfelt story is simply amazing. “It was quick, it was brutal, it was honest…it was everything I imagined it would be yet nothing at all like what I expected.”
The greatest part of Home Run King is that it’s completely developed. You learn of the past while dealing with the present and there’s not the sudden cutoff that jumps plot holes to the epilogue leaving you lost in left field. Stella takes you through every step of Gage and Katie’s relationship in both perspectives without overlapping.
Gage is THE man on the field, but he’s a bit of a mess off the field. He’s frustrating and hilariously obtuse. He makes up nicknames for everyone. His life coach will soon celebrate her third birthday! That’s actually fantastic because Rinny’s appearances are pure gold! “Don’t look at me. I can’t help that his best friend is a nosy three-year-old who always gets her way.” In spite of all of that, or maybe because of it, Gage is a beautifully flawed character with unexpected depth. “You talk a good game, Gage, but I can see your playbook.”
Katie’s a beautifully broken girl who holds herself together through sheer will and determination. “My chest heaved, and my heart raced. I wanted nothing more than to keep him with me. Instead, I bit my tongue and left my mouth shut.” Her character development and backstory are carefully unveiled. She’s the perfect compliment to Gage’s major league personality, but too much more would result in spoilers that I’m not willing to share.
Know that starting Home Run King will require making room for Gage Nix at the top of your list of book boyfriends. “It was like the moment the sun kissed the horizon as it set, a blink of an eye, a blip in time—that second, that very instant—our souls united, and I knew I could never live without him.” A perfect mix of hilarity, humility, a perfectly placed Johnny Cash reference, and heart...ok, Gage Nix is far from humble...Home Run King is a heartfelt FIVE STAR READ!

HOME RUN KING by Stella (the very talented writing team of Leddy Harper and Stephie Walls) is a Rom-Com that is written from the POV of Gage Nix and his "Baby Momma" Katie Crisp. Gage is definitely the one who steals the show. You will be falling in love with this guy if you aren't grinding your teeth with frustration. You can't believe the things that come out of his mouth, but he gets by with his good-looks and “questionable” humor and charm. Just when you think he has dug his own grave, he will say the sweetest thing, showing his heart of gold. But his huge ego keeps getting in his way. His best-friend and advice expert is an adorable three-year-old named Corrine. Oh yes, not to forget, he is a major league baseball player. He is the best player, hitter and any day will be inducted into the Major League Hall of Fame. This is all according to him, but he is called the HOME RUN KING. There are other amazing characters, but Gage Nix is reason alone to read this book!

Katie Crisp has been a home care nurse for Gage's Granny for years. She is the most important person in the world to both Gage and Katie. The only person who has always been there, or never let them down. In a moment of grief and desperation, the two of them turned to each other and created a bond that would bind them together for the rest of their lives. The Home Run King had hit a home-run, and that bond would arrive in about nine months. Katie had no one, or money, and only place to stay is in her old room at Granny's house. The house now belonged to Gage and he planned to move in, too. Gage who had been raised by his Granny, was not going to abandon his child. He moved in to take care of Katie, and pored attention on her well-being and that of his unborn son (he wanted a boy). He would either drive her insane or win her over.

This is a very entertaining and you will not be sorry if you read this book. Leddy Harper and Stephie Walls are both wonderful writers on their own, but put them together and you have a Home Run.

What a great rom-com.
Home Run King had me laughing out loud and giggle-snorting. I loved the sweet side to this story as well, making Gage Nix more than the stereotypical pro athlete.
From start to finish, this book had me hooked. I really enjoyed the frenemies to lovers aspect. it made for some hysterical moments and by the end I was so invested in these two characters.

What a lovely, funny and emotional book this was! I loved reading it because I was laughing one moment and sad the other. Gage and Katie were a couple made in heaven!

Gage Nix is the king of the home runs. He’s a brilliant baseball player, he was also a women player until he had a serious relation with Missy. It lasted three years until she dumped him after his granny died. He was in a vortex of depression and she couldn’t deal. In his submersion of sadness, he had a fling with his granny’s nurse, and knocked her up. This book starts after all this happened and now he and Katie are dealing with the aftermath of the pregnancy.

At the beginning, I didn’t like Katie a lot. She was mad at Gabe all the time, she was surly and disagreeable but then the reader learns that she’s almost destitute. After Gabe’s granny died, she didn’t have any job prospects and her money was almost gone. She was looking for jobs with no success. I did wonder why she had no job if she was a qualified nurse, but that is explained later in the book. So it was natural that she was stressed and dealing with a guy who acts like an immature child does make you grumpy.

Gage Nix only had one person in the world who loved him completely and that was his granny. Since Katie also loved Granny so much, they had that in common. Gage’s defense against feeling unloved was to play the clown. His normal persona is a goofball, always joking and running circles around conversations. I get the feeling he suffers from ADHD because he’s easily distracted and his mind goes in all directions when he’s talking. He’s a very entertaining character. He’s also very enthusiastic about being a father and for that purpose he moved into his granny’s house, so he could be with Katie and assist her. He completely took over her life. He got a truckload of pregnancy books, read them all, and got Katie prenatal and vitamin pills, managed her diet and got rid of her favorite drug, coffee. Poor Katie didn’t have a chance against this storm because she was destitute.

Little by little, this couple started understanding each other and got attached by their common little fetus. Gage also has a best friend: a two-year old toddler Corinne, daughter of Coby his friend and former baseball teammate. It was hysterical how Gage runs to Corinne for life advice. There’s one memorable scene where they have a tea party, don sunglasses that make them invisible and have a heart-to-heart convo where Corinne dispenses advise about Gage’s love life. Priceless!!

As Gage and Katie get closer and intimate, secrets about Katie’s past come up and rock the boat. Gage shows how strong he is when he supports Katie and helps her deal. Katie handles Gage by sometimes acting like a mother, others acting like a girlfriend, and always accepting his friends, his quibbles, his crazy persona, and overall, loving his bestie Corinne and promoting that their loving relation continue. She also embraces Coby and Ellie as friends, as she needs help with medical matters when Gage is at away games. They both grow up a lot during this book, as Katie stops being so prickly and accepts help and Gage learns to open up his heart and communicate.

This is one of those book that you enjoy, not for the sex scenes but for the love that grows between the couple, with their baby in the belly, and with friends who are there at times of need. I had a great time with Gage and Katie, with Gage and Corinne, and Gage and Coby.

Stella has nailed it out of the park again with Home Run King. I LOVE LOVE LOVED Gage and Katie's story. It wasn't love at first sight, and it wasn't all sunshine and roses, but it was real and complicated and a bit crazy. Gage is this hot babseball player/jokester on the surface, with an underlying heart of gold. He doesn't have a ton of family or friends, but those he has, he values and would do anything for. One of the funniest things in this book is that Gage's best friend is a three year old. Gage and Rinny's relationship was epically cute and Rinny herself was hilarious. Stella outdid themselves writing the scenes in this book for sure. I laughed out loud many times while reading Home Run King. From Gage's crazy sense of humor, to his mix up of basic vocabulary, to his sweet/corny nicknames for Katie, this book was just downright funny.

Having said that, this book also had some very real feelings and some very serious situations. During one scene I almost cried because the book just evoked that much emotion. The authors were able to find a nice balance betwen funny and serious, and laughter and tears, which is something rare to find in a single book.

Both main characters just seemed like people that you could relate to. I enjoyed the theme of friendship throughout the book and how close all of the characters were. There was also an underlying theme of fate and that what is meant to be will be, which I really enjoyed. The discussions focusing around Granny were both sad and inspiring, and her invisible presence between Katie and Gage was felt throughout the book.

I love that this book started with two people who could barely stand to be around each other, and turned into something neither would have expected. I enjoyed every moment of their adventure. Awesome read Stella. I cannot wait to read more!!!

Home Run King is a rom-com, enemies to lovers romance with the right amount of maturity that had me laughing out loud and swooning too. Gage Nix and Katie Crisp find themselves in an unconventional relationship when Katie becomes pregnant after a night spent together sharing their grief over having lost Granny who was extremely important to both of them. Gage Nix is all jokes and funny nicknames, but underneath he has a heart of gold. Katie Crisp is sassy and takes no crap from him. The storyline shows their growth and deepening feelings for each other. I loved how they handled their issues like adults without all the unnecessary drama. Their insecurities didn't rule them. They both valued what was most important and built on that. Family is what you make it and not necessarily the one you were born into. Their banter is super hilarious - Gage with his jokes, misused words and crazy nicknames and Katie with her comebacks had me smiling throughout the entire story. Rinny, a three year old and Gage's best friend, steals the scenes she is in with her cuteness. And even with all the humor, there were some serious, heartfelt scenes too. It's well-written and dual POV. All in all, this is a great read that I definitely recommend.

Hello, my name is Britt and I’m addicted to Gage. It’s been five minutes since my last reread and I’ll probably start reading Home Run King again before I finish this review. If you’re reading this a year from now, I’m probably STILL reading this again. I have no regrets. Gage is hands down one of my absolute favorite book boyfriends ever. I didn’t just Love this book, I am obsessed with this book. I laughed until I cried, my heart totally melted more than once at the sweetness, I became way too attached to these characters, and I loved every second of it!

There is not one thing I didn’t love about Gage and Katie. When I wasn’t dying of laughter I was so caught up in their story a bomb could have gone off next to me and I wouldn’t have noticed. Stella hit it out of the park (see what I did there?) with Home Run King. Gage is flat out adorable. I mean, seriously, his best friend and adviser is the cutest toddler ever, when he’s not saying stuff that has me rolling he’s busy being the sweetest man to ever exist. If I didn’t love Katie I’d be extremely jealous.
Their slow build from enemies to the greatest couple ever had me glued to the pages. Best. Book. Ever.

ARC kindly provided in exchange for honest review.
Looking for a somewhat light and laugh out loud romance where our male main character’s best friend is a 3 year old little girl? It’s here in Home Run King. Can be read as a stand alone, though there are characters from Stella’s Third Base (I haven’t yet read, but will very soon). Gage Nix is the Home Run King and Katie Crisp is the young gal who helped care for his Granny and in a moment of shared grief will carry his child. The banter between these two had me in stitches...Gage can come across as.....not so smart...but you can’t help but laugh at him. He is a total lovebug and Katie, it takes her some time, she has secrets, but Gage sees beyond it all. I really enjoyed Rinny....and her love of Nutella.

💙⚾️. I absolutely loved this book. This is my first read by this author (Stella). It has been a long time since a book pulled me in like this one did!! It was a cute fun easy read. I think I love Gage Nix even though he could be pretty aggravating and didn’t take much seriously. He was so quick witted and I LOL several times at the things he would say. I can’t imagine being Katie but she took it all so well. I’m looking forward to my next read by Stella. I would absolutely recommend this book if your looking for light, funny and quick.

Oh my freaking God... These two have another book and I'm super happy and anxious about it. If you know these two author's you know that they will rock your world. They seperatly have the ability to drive me insane, so guess what they can do together...
Stella was the name that Leddy Harper had Stephie Walls created and so many good things have happened in the book world.
Home Run King is their newest release and Dayum girls.....
This book explores Gage and Katie's lifes.
Gage has a dream life, I mean he's supposed to have it since he's a famous baseball player. He's used to fame and always being on the spotlight but sometimes that's not enough. He had not only lost his Granny but also his girlfriend. This could be just as normal as it can be but he had and one night stand with his ex-girlfriend cousin. Dayum... What a mess...
Katie is a sweet and independent woman that is used to live her life the best she can. Struggle after struggle lead her to Granny's house and things in her life aren't easy. One wild night with Gage brought her a tremendous gift. A surprise pregnancy...
And now what will happen? Happily ever after or not? Can a player commit? Can things get better?
Oh my lord... What a book... I'm claiming Gage...
The plot is amazing, intense, super engaging and freaking hot. There were parts of the story that I laughed so hard that I almost wet my pants, lol, but there were others that I was so sad or even mad because these two are so stubborn. Let's not forget that we have some pretty steamy scenes into this mix. Oh boy!
The interation between the characters is beautiful, crazy, sweet and sour sometimes. These two together are like a bomb waiting to explode at any time. Dayum they are two crazy muffins.
This book proved that the line that separates love and hate is so thin that you can miss it. Even if you don't want it...
I knew that a book written by these two ladies would be a masterpiece and I'm so happy for the chance to read it.
Girls you rock. If the first two books are like this I can't wait for what's about to come. Thank you so much for this.

Oh man! This book is probably the funniest I've read in a very long time... I didn't have any idea who the Author was (or...Authors were) and as it turned out, it's from the writing tandem of Ms. Leddy Harper and Ms. Stephie Walls.

Lemme' start by saying I love baseball! I'm a San Francisco Giants fan... I read updates about the players, latest news about the organization, etc... Baseball season is upon us, so this book is timely and relatable.

Home Run King is the story about Gage Nix—a hotshot baseball player, and Katie Crisp—local girl & nurse, finding comfort in eachother's arms while dealing with the loss of a loved-one... Each had their own shit to deal with... One has abandonment issues, and the other has trust issues... and not only that, they dont even like each other that much! So you can only imagine how these two would raise a baby together?? Plus throw-in the jealous, spiteful ex, their shady past and their own anxieties... it was definitely bound to be a shitstorm...lol

But... eventhough it may seem angsty and dramatic, it was far from it. Seriously you guys, this is the funniest book I've read this year, and in a long time... Sure, I've read books that were funny as well but this one takes the cake—so far...lol Their banters, the dialogues, the sarcasm, their barbs... even the confrontations were funny.

If ya'll are looking for something to get you out of your funk, or something to simply just cheer you up, this is the book to pick-up next!

Let me start by saying I am in love with Gage Nix. I’m licking and claiming him as my own. This man made me laugh and swoon so damn much reading this book. Be prepared to want to keep him as your own (you can’t because he’s mine! but you will want to). The man is absolute perfection.

Gage has had a rough time lately. While his career as a baseball player is going from strength to strength, his personal life is another matter. Suddenly finding himself single and grieving for his granny, Gage spends the night with his granny’s nurse Katie, resulting in a surprise pregnancy. To make things even more uncomfortable Katie not only has ties to his ex but also hates his guts. Gage isn’t going to let a little thing like that stand in his way though and you’ve got to admire his determination to make things work. Gage is a big kid stuck in a mans body. He’s flirty, playful, immature and a little bit stupid...but his sweet, caring nature more than makes up for that. He’s going to make you laugh and roll your eyes in equal measure but he’s also going to make you fall in love with him.

I loved Katie. She’s sweet, caring, independent, doesn’t have a bad bone in her body but is far from a walkover, and there’s something about her that makes her very easy to like. The banter between her and Gage had me laughing out loud and Gages nick names were one of my favourite things about this book. He kills me with his sense of humour.

This is one of those books that I found really, really enjoyable to read. I don’t think I put it down once and I can’t recommend it enough. Funny, sweet and sexy with a man that’s going to make you love him...what more could you want? Go click this book! It’s so very, very good.

What is there to say? I can't put into words how much I honestly loved this book. I'll try but I know I'll fall flat. The writing was perfect, the characters hilariously amazing, the banter was funny and witty. Everything about this book draws you in and doesn't let go. Gage and Katie were a match made in Heaven, even though it took them a bit to see that. You would think after knocking up his ex-girlfriends cousin that Gage would regret it and continue living a playboy lifestyle. Nope, he embraces it. So much quicker than Katie does. I really loved their relationship, it was sweet and sassy (from both ends). Baseball used to take up Gage's life, now he has reasons to sit it to the side.

This is definitely a must read. You fall in love pretty quickly with a baseball player whose best friend and best life coach is a three year old. You fall in love with Katie quickly when you see that she has made something of herself. She came from a hard life and made it better. Even through the questioning of feelings, paparazzi, misunderstandings, and goofy conversations Gage and Katie make the best of everything. They come through it all and just shine. Baseball, babies, three year old advisors, and some of the most crazy goofy sentences all tie into one epic love story!

Home Run King by Stella is a standalone sports romance novel. I already read another book by this authors and I Loved it !!
Meet Gage Nix, he´s a successful baseball player, he´s on top of his game and full of self-esteem. He´s a loudmouth, but is charming at the same time. And now he´s about to become a father too. With his late grandmother´s keeper.
Katie Crisp has had a rough life, her childhood wasn´t a good one and it´s about to get worse. She´s preggo with the child of a big manchild.
I started reading and was in love with the story. To love the characters took me some time. While Katie is pragmatic and has ugly secrets at the same time, I couldn´t get a good read on Gage. Is he naive, or is he a master at manipulation? I´ll leave it to you to find out.
Don´t get me wrong, Home Run King is a great read, a witty story with unique characters and I love the book, much.
Favorite Quote: "" " You don´t have to like someone to have sex with them. " " Agreed, but how exactly do you guys to co-parent?" "Not a clue. I guess we´ll just have to wait and see how it works out." ""
I was greatly entertained reading this wonderful story , I recommend it and give 5 stars.

Ok I have to say it here.... Stella (well Leddy and Stephie) hit it out of the park with this book. Home Run King has been one of the best reads so far this year. I laughed and cried all while reading the same page. For an author or authors to do this goes to show that they have some writing skills. Gage Nix is by far the funniest man and character in this book. His whole attitude for life will just keep you smiling throughout. And Katie is just trying to find her way after a terrible loss and life changing news. I want to say this is an enemies to lovers but really they just weren't friends to begin with, so not-friends to lovers is how I would classify this read.
And we get to see some old friends from Third Base, Coby and Ellie and their kids. I don't think there could be a cuter child than their daughter Corrine. She is a just precious and her relationship with Gage will just make you swoon that much more for him.

I just loved everything about this books and can't wait to read more from this writing duo!

Stephie Walls and Leddy Harper are each alone two of my favorite authors. Especially when I am in the mood for a story that is one that i can get engrossed into the story while it builds. And when these two authors team up I know I am going to be put on an emotional roller coaster ride. Home Run King was that roller coaster ride. You have no choice but to fall for Gage Nix. I fell in love with him in Third Base, and that love of him continued on in his own book. The duel POV of the story was something that I loved, it allowed you to see that relationship from both Gage and Katie's eyes. This book was one that had you laughing and moments that you wanted to smack some sense into the character. It was just the perfect mix for me. But of course I don't expect anything less from these two authors.

Home Run King was the perfect combination of romantic comedy, sports romance and enemies to lovers all combined into one package that this book whore truly enjoyed. If you are looking for a book to read that will equally have you loving and wanting to slap the shit out of the hero, then grab Home Run King for sure. I know this is one I will be reading again soon.

Remember that whole love and slap comment I made about the hero? Well that is the easiest way to describe how Gage made me feel while reading this one. He will have you swooning one moment and in the next wondering what the hell is going to come out of his mouth next to make you shake your head and mumble “man you’re a dumb ass.” Needless to say even with those moments I couldn’t help but love Gage. I also really liked Katie, she is the perfect one for Gage. She is sassy, sort of like a certain book whore, and I just really wanted things to work out.

This writer duo is becoming one that I don’t hesitate to read. Make sure you have Home Run King on your TBR lists, it’s well worth it.

I loved this book and our main characters Katie & Gage are very likeable from the start. Even our secondary characters are fantastic. There's a kiddo in this one that has a best friend relationship with our hero and it's so friggin cute and fun. This was a just a feel good romance that hit all the marks for me. It has a good story going on, never a dull moment and it kept my interest the whole way through. It's a team up book written by romance authors Leddy Harper & Stephanie Walls aka Stella. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a light hearted, feel good sports romance that still has a lot of heart. Maybe it's just because it was the kind of book I was looking to read on my Sunday but I really enjoyed this one.

OMG!!! If I could give this book 10 stars I would. I FLOVED this book!!!! It was funny and sad, heartbreaking and wonderful and did I mention funny. I haven't laughed this much reading a book, since I last read a book by one of these authors I'm sure. I loved Gage and all his craziness and silly nicknames and ideas, but you knew down deep he was a wonderful, serious and loving guy. Katie was strong and stubborn and wonderful all at the same time. And Corrine, OMG we all need a sassy, adorable person like her in our lives. I hope there are more books from Stella in our future. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I really hate to put this book into any one category, enemies to lovers, rom-com, sports romance, because it is all of those but it is so much more! I love books, even when I hate a book, I love that book, because-books, but this book was one of those books that I didn't want to put down, it was a glare at my kids (and husband) when they interrupted my reading, it was everything I needed to escape this world into the one Stella created. I would say that Gage is mine but I think I would have a huge fight on my hands, but I still love him. I love how strong Katie is and not the typical pushover. I can't wait to see what Stella comes up with next!

OUT OF THE PARK HOME RUN for Stella! An outstanding romantic comedy that will have you laughing so hard you're insides will ache. So many lovable characters including an adorable three-year old named Corinne, who is the Home Run King of baseball's best friend. So many hilarious and, unruly and terrific lines of dialogue. A sweet and tender love story that will certainly make you ooh and aah throughout. Gage - Gage - Gage!!! He's the Home Run King and will win your heart in so many ways.

If you're looking for something truly amazing and full of fun and laughter and love, you gotta give this one a try.

This was such a great read and I enjoyed it a lot. It's the perfect book for readers that love a good baseball romance read. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters. The beginning of the story gets right down to it; there was no easing into the pregnancy at all and I enjoyed that a lot. Gage and Corinne were definitely my favorite characters, and in a way he had the best friend because some times he was definitely on her level. I laughed a lot at his antics. There were times where he was a bit much but you will come to love that about him. I enjoyed Katie, Coby and Ellie. I loved the friendship they developed with Katie and how they welcomed her into their family. This was such a sweet read that it will melt your heart and leave you with a smile on your face. There were definitely some surprises within this story and it's not drama free, but it kept things interesting. This was a great standalone read and I look forward to reading more from this author.

This book was great. I loved Gage’s playful personality and found myself laughing out loud more than once at his antics and banter between him and other characters. I loved the interactions between Gage and Katie; it was easy to see how they fit together, even after their history.

What I missed in this book is the backstory of Katie and Gage, how they came together the one night that set their new journey in motion. It was hinted at several times, but I would have loved to experience it first hand, even through some flashback scenes.

Gage’s relationship with Corinne was simply the sweetest. I found myself wanting more interaction between the two of them.

Stella has definitely hit a home run with this one!

I love a story that will have me interested from the start and this newest release did that and more. This is not your normal instant love kinda story, instead it’s more like I hate your guts. Interested yet? Yeah that’s what I said and as I continue on this journey filled with laugh out loud and aww moments, it doesn’t take long until your invested in the story. A baseball player Gage and Katie a nurse life will be forever joined when they find themselves with a surprise pregnancy. What happens next is so delicious you can’t help but fall in love with the characters and the events that elevate the story to a whole new level in a romantic comedy read. This is my first read by the author and I’m glad I was given a chance to read an Advance Readers Copy of this book.
