Mother Nature does her best to rip this family apart.
When a hurricane threatens to wreak havoc on the South Carolina coast, Annie prepares Sweet Magnolia for what she thinks will be a day or two without electricity while Jack checks on Lady Powell down at the dock. But when Jack doesn’t return promptly, Annie becomes concerned and sets out only to find his lifeless body lying on the dock.
Mary, Annie’s sister, makes an announcement that makes her the center of attention, but Annie has a bit of news herself causing them to share the limelight and causes a flurry of excitement on the island, setting in motion more parties and celebration.
Annie is having second thoughts about running the Sweet Indulgence. Is she just feeling the pressure of motherhood or could this be the end of the cupcakery she started from the ground up?

Sweet Carolina: ( Charleston Harbor Novels-Book 3 ) By: Debbie White Sweet Carolina is book three in Charleston Harbor Novels Series. I really enjoyed this series and I love that the author picks up Sweet Carolina where the other novel left off. This is Annie and Jack’s story. This is the final installment of Charleston Harbor novels and I sure do hate to see it end. The author did not disappoint. Ms. White writes clean and sweet contemporary fiction with some romance. You will meet back up with some of the characters from the other novels. I was hooked right from the start. I could not read fast enough to see what was going to happen next. I found myself laughing out and at times I was sad with tears in my eyes. We find love, parenthood, family, and hope in this beautiful love story. I was given a complimentary copy of this book , but was not told that I had to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.
In this sweet small-town novel, the Charlestown Habor saga continues and includes many of the residents we met in previous episodes of this series. Annie is still trying to take care of everyone and everything on her own, not taking into consideration that she but one person with one pair of hands. It takes a potentially serious situation to bring her to her senses and realise that her husband needs her as his wife and mother of their son, and that her grandmother, aunt, sister and the bakery can all cope without her constant micro-management. It is a sweet story of a love that keeps growing, of a community of people that pull together in times of trouble, and of letting go of those things that have lesser importance. I enjoy this author's storytelling and the sense of becoming involved in the lives of the people she writes about. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Sweet Carolina is a sweet and beautiful love story. This is book 3 and by far my favorite in the series! There are bumps along the way throughout the book, in life and motherhood, and it's a book I think all mothers can relate to in some way. I definitely felt more emotion in this book than I had in the previous two leading up to this, but it was so worth the wait.
**I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review**
New homes, New lives, weddings and moves carry us through the days with Jack and AnNa. A must read, Sweet Carolina will have you gAsping in delight, wiping tears and considering your own family inlAys you may not hAve dreAmed before. Thank you Debbie White for this sweet series!
Sweet Carolina is a sweet romance. I have loved Jack and Annie and these glimpses into their life. These people know how to throw a party - even a hurricane party! This is just a great story about how we grow, change, and adapt to our ever changing circumstances. I was sorry to say goodbye to Charleston Harbor.
The book is good for what I call "fluff" reading. This is the third in the series and I've read the first 2 also and there's just something about the author's style that I don't like. Her writing doesn't flow that well. It seems sort of choppy.
