This series by Katy Haye ticks so many boxes. An alternative time based around all things Clockwork is filled with mystery, evil, fantastic characters, wonderful inventions, battles, and love. Not necessarily in that order. There are twists and turns that will catch you unawares, and a final ending that will bring emotions to the surface. Reading the series in box form is the ultimate luxury. No more waiting for the next book. Katy Haye definitely does the genre justice. The series is one I will re-read again. And those ticks? Every single box!

Rollercoaster
In a world where the English and Scotts are still at war, Clara is a tinker, someone who makes and repairs machines, she is invited to work in London making killing machines to aid the war effort. But something strange is going on. The people of London are very subdued, all except the household of her employer.
I really enjoyed this story. It's such a page turner that several times I was very late going to bed!
