Lieutenant Colonel Brandi Forbes raced along the path, her focus on the last 100 feet she had to get through to beat her run time. So close, but her 1 hour thirty-four minutes over 13.1 miles missed the goal by 15 seconds. She walked the mile back to base as part of her cooldown, still knowing she had done well.
That evening, the base was awakened by sirens going off. Two people had approached the gate asking to speak with someone in charge. When told no, they just disappeared! Brandi was heading out to see what happened when her XO told her to stay put and guards at her doors protected her. She was frustrated at following this protocol when suddenly two figures materialized in front of her! As she was about to call for help, a voice in her head said to not be afraid. Then images flashed in her mind to explain who the man and woman in front of her were and how Arix, a scout for the Karak Dominion, had crashed after his ship collided into something in space. Now a rescue team from his planet, Karak, would be arriving the next day to speak with Brandi. Arix was to bring her to the meeting place.
Arix dropped her off in the woods and left her alone. She was figuring out how to get back to base, 20 miles away, when a larger ship landed and two beams of light shifted into two gorgeous men. Tyrix and Kerix introduced themselves. They told her of danger from the vicious Rabid Wolvae, who may already be on Earth in an advanced reconnaissance maneuver. Even though Earth could defeat them, there would be much bloodshed. But before they could make a plan, they heard the howls – the Wolvae were already on Earth!!!
Book 2 continues with another contact from the Karak, this time trying to help Earth defend against a murderous, deadly enemy. The story line definitely pulls the reader in right from the start! We are revisited by some of the characters from Book 1 to maintain continuity of the story. Then Tyrix and Kerix become the focus of Book 2. There are many things going on in this story, and plenty of tension as the wolves arrive. I definitely recommend this book and believe the reader will enjoy it as I did.

Alien shifters not one but two. Brandi is in the Air Force a lieutenant colonel as a female she hold a pretty good standing in the Air Force she has no boyfriend or husband she is basically career driven until one night when everything changes.
Something appeared in her room this is when Brandi realizes that aliens really do exist.
When Brandi meets these two aliens they tell her some really bad news that some Wolvae are about to invade the planet earth and they are there to help and it doesn't hurt that both men/ aliens are really good looking and Brandi is sort of getting bored with her job and all the paperwork. Kerix and Tyrix to the rescue and Brandi finally gets to have an adventure and through all of this she also get two alien studs that both want her.
Do these three defeat the Wolvae? Does Brandi get to keep both aliens. This is a great sci fi,shifter, paranormal story. It was different but in a good way and it's a story that I would read again.

I am reviewing this through individual books due to the box set being unavailable.
Alien Shifter Box Set by Ruby Ryan - This box set includes the books; Karak Contact, Karak Warrior and Karak Invasion.
After initially struggling to get in to this set, an unusual situation for me and solely due to outside influences, I settled into the story of aliens and humans. From the initial concept of shape-changing aliens who watched the galaxies for signs of intelligence, to the maniacal traits of some humans, I thought the story-line was thoroughly entertaining. The characters were well thought through and personalities were accurately portrayed through written word, in such a way that the reader can see familiarities. A well written series of books, all interlocking with the background characters, and a series I think will fulfil all the needs of romance and sci-fi lovers alike. Well done, Ms Ryan.

Love this series. The Karak have sent two warriors to make contact with Earth's government. They ask Arix and Jo to find a likely candidate to meet with. They choose Lieutenant Colonel Brandi Forbes, the acting base commander at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. When she meet the Karak representatives, Tyrix and Kerix she is overwhelmed by her attraction to both of them. When danger in the form a feral wolf species that destroys worlds attacks, she joins Tyrix and Kerix in reclaiming their ship and saving Earth. Tyrix and Kerix quickly learn why Arix went rouge. While they are determined to fulfill their mission, they have a new mission, claim Brandi as their mate.
Fun, fast paced and steamy story.

This is book 3 of the Karak series and sadly the last one. Brandi is a lieutenant colonel in the forces, one night the sirens go off at the base and Brandi is confined to her room for protection. Two people appear before her and explain to her that she needs to meet their representatives from Karak, Brandi agrees then is taken to meet them. Two sexy warrior aliens walk out from their ship Tyrix and Kerix, they inform her that the deadly Rabid Wolvae are about to invade earth and that the Karak are there to help stop the invasion. Tyrix and Kerix understand why a couple of their warriors have gone rogue because they want Brandi for their mate. A fantastic read it’s very well written and thought out storyline. I highly recommend this book it’s well worth the read.

Excellent story. Brandi is a lieutenant colonel in the US Air Force, second in command. Well her boss went on vacay & left her in charge, but not really cause he treats her like a glorified secretary. She meet 2 Karak aliens, Tyrix & Kerix, that have come to earth to warn them about a different alien species, the Wolvae, who are going to attack earth. When she gets hurt by an attacking group of wolvae, Tyrix & Kerix heal her. And one thing leads to another, {yup, hot sex}. I really enjoyed this story. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up.

This is book three in this series and I think this one is my favorite, two Alien hunks who have come to warn Earth of the Wolvaes coming and one Lucky woman whom they will fight to protect. This book started out very sneaky at first I did not know if I was reading about a man or a woman when the person is called "SIR". Earth may be under attack. Two aliens have come to warn us of an attack by a vicious alien wolf race. Did I mention that the two friendly aliens can transform and choose to come to us as two gorgeous human males? Well one person is needed for them to make contact and the very lucky female is a commander at an Air Force base. Action and some very steamy scenes.

Wow.
Ruby Ryan impresses me more and more after reading her books. I have absolutely fallen in love with the Karak series. I am as i expected, impatiently waiting for the next book. I highly recommend this book and this author.

As the 3rd in the trilogy of Karak novels, this delivers really well , expanding on the theme! This time Earth is about to be invaded and Karak warriors arrive to try and stop it and in the process meet Brandi, an Air-force Lieutenant Colonel. The action starts when the Wolvae arrive and the three need to prevent the trouble fro occurring!

She thinks her life as a pilot is boring since she hasn't for awhile. Along comes two aliens and they all three go on an adventure to stop this other aliens trying to take over earth. It is exciting, suspenseful, fun and so much more. I was given a copy to review and voluntarily review it.

Ruby has done it again. It was a great story, fast paced and steamy. I couldn't get enough in this third installment. I love love this series!! I would highly recommend it!

I enjoyed this sci-fi romance. You have a good mix of romance and action as the three unite to protect the Earth from an attack. The storyline keeps your interest and there is good chemistry between the characters.

I loved the book, but wished that it was longer and that they destroyed the wolves.
