Despite the constant nightmares that remind her of the attack that almost took her life, Emma Morgan has come to accept the risk that comes from being a human in love with an immortal. Unfortunately, it’s Sean who still continues to struggle with his sister’s presence in the world of his new life.
A struggle that inevitably leaves him distracted long enough to go missing on his watch. But Emma learns that finding her brother may come at a high price.
**SPOILER ALERT** **REVIEW HAS SPOILERS** I love this series! I was sooooo mad and frustrated though. I thought Emma would have had more of a reaction emotionally to the things that she went through. I mean, if the love of my life died...I'd have a mental breakdown. If my father died right after that, I'd have an even bigger one. If my brother wanted to make my memories go away, I'd have freaked out harder on him...if my love came back to me along with all my memories, I would have been pissed at him and happy at the same time and then I would have killed my brother for making me forget everything once I remembered everything. This book made me....
I truly love this series but I just thought her reactions would have been a little stronger than what they were. I still couldn't put this book down though. I loved it and can't wait for the next one!!
Once again, this is Twilight fan fiction. I just can’t get behind a book that lifts so heavily from another series. Names, supernatural abilities, plot lines, almost everything is just recycled Twilight.
I'm sorry, but Emma and Liam are kind of exhausting. They are super lovey dovey all the time through the entire book. It wears thin after a while.
Emma's personality is much more developed than Liam's though. He is just two dimensional to me. The story didn’t really grab me because I’ve read it before, when it was written by Stephanie Meyer. I’ll give it 2 out of 5 stars.
There are similarities between the characters of this story and Twilight. But the story in book 2 was more original and I really enjoyed it. I hope there is a book 3 to finish the story.
