I do not want to praise this book so much as praise the God that took an unbelievably depressing situation and turned it into something beautiful. I appreciate how the author notes biblical wisdom before each chapter in her life story and why things went wrong and what God thinks about how we can make better choices. My view on the abortion issue changed after reading some of the problems in the environment and with people due to the sexual revolution. Some of the facts cited in this book, for example, about how 98% of women who have abortions have mental health issues, and that Poland was able to reduce its abortions by 99% have shown me more and more that abortion is the result of selfishness, and is not necessary, even in a very populated world.
One thing I think can be dangerous for the reader, though, is her experience with God "preparing the ONE" for her and all of these visions and people telling her about the ONE, and that she only needed to wait and then her prince showed up. I am very happy if that was her experience, but this is maybe something that should not be shared or it should be stated very carefully that this is NOT the norm or to be expected, as this is not the experience of most people and sharing this might lead others to expect this special treatment which can cause an incredible amount of disillusionment, heartache, and unwillingness to try. In my experience, I stomped on hearts, had mine destroyed, waited, cried, dated and dated, and prayed and prayed and prayed and never had that "experience" after 10 years, and just ultimately chose to stay in a compatible relationship. We have worked and put God first and chosen our marriage, but it was not a magical thing that I just KNEW or just needed to wait around for. Looking back, there were relationships that God set before me, but I never had that "experience" and so I did not try and ended up not pursuing them, and lived with regret. It is important to use wisdom rather than SIGNS and wonders and pick an appropriate partner that believes in the same truths and stick with it. That is my only concerning part of the book.
Overall, I highly recommend this book.
