For Daiya Cattiva, turning eighteen is a nightmare come true. Once she Awakens, her body will no longer be her own, and she will thirst for physical connection—need it to survive. But the bond is only temporary, and Daiya will be forced to satiate the demon inside her, time and time again. For that is the burden of the Lilituria.
But Daiya doesn’t want to hurt anyone—especially not the cute guy in class, with his annoying charm and fervent persistence. Staying away from Kai Stanton is the smart thing to do. The only choice she has. But when she loses control and kisses him, everything changes, and Daiya knows their connection is deeper than just fleeting lust.
Determined to uncover the truth, Daiya finds herself at the heart of an ancient prophecy that could alter the balance of good and evil forever.
She was never supposed to fall in love, but their love will change everything.

Holy shit balls!! I don't think this review is going to do this amazing work justice but here goes!
I've only read about 20 paranormal books and I have to say they are not usually the criteria I read but this was absolutely amazing!! This novel had me teetering on the edge of my seat throughout, I loved that I could relate and connect with the characters and their personalities, they literally jumped out the pages at me. This had me gripped to the point where I have been up all night because I had to finish it and COULD NOT put it down.
This is a story of love and destiny, paths being written and the lives we live. Does everything happen for a reason? Do we cross paths with certain people because it was decided that way? I've fallen in love with Daiya and Kai, And cannot wait for the next instalment on their journey *cough cough*.
I'm not going to give away any spoilers but if you read one paranormal book this year it has to be this! You'll be teetering on the edge of your seats and won't finish until it's devoured! I truly wish I could give it more stars it deserves it! I've been left with a book hangover! Will absolutely be rereading this in the future. It's a keeper!

Awaken is Book #1 in a brand new mature Y/NA paranormal romance series, by Grace White. The series is called the Lilituria Prophecy, and it is a really great start to the series. This is a hard review for me to write spoiler free, so I am going to do a mini review and then share an excerpt with you. I think Awaken is a good start to what looks to be a really interesting series. I think lovers of Paranormal romance will really respond positively to this book and series. And I have to say, I really love the cover. I can't wait to see what the cover for the next book in the series looks like.
Daiya is such an interesting character. And for the record, I mean interesting the best possible way, not the I don't know what else to say and she is weird way. Her powers are unique and different. A little bit like a succubus, but not exactly. She fears turning 18 because she thinks her powers will consume her and she will become helpless in her own body. That must be such a scary thought, which is not always the way people view their powers in stories like this one. I think that is what I liked the most about Awaken. It felt different to me. Kai is fantastic too. Their story is one that I cannot wait to continue.

An really addictive paranormal read, I absolutely loved it ! I'm amazed it's this authors debut novel.
Daiya and her sisters have just moved towns once again. At Daiya's new school she meets Kai and the connection between them is instant and intense. Does this mean that Daiya's half demon side now awakened ? Daiya constantly struggles with feeling different is she different ? can she control her desire ?
Oh that ending... I need more, so much more and now - do I really have to wait! This book kept me on the edge of my seat throughout, I love Daiya and Kai so much that I can't wait to read more of them - eagerly looking forward to more of their beautiful chemistry and hopefully some juicy bits from them too lol.
Wow! I am amazed by just how much I really loved this book.
3 girls half demon, half human, the fate of their kind lies in one of their hands. This book is filled with non stop action, passion, romance, and something that no other book has. The author has created such a great story; so great that you wish the book hadn't ended.
Can I bask in the glory of how different, and unique this book is? Can I just breath and realize that I just read one heck of a story that will forever follow me around and be a part of the many lives I choose to live while enjoying a good book? The answer is yes I can, and I will.
I can't wait for the second book to come out, because this book blew my mind!
I am so glad I found this book, and that I was able to read it. I would recommend this book to adult readers, because of adult scenes.
Holy cow!! This story is AMAZING!! This story does not seem like the first from a new paranormal author. It is unique and awesomely well written! I literally couldn't put it down! I can't wait for more from this author! She captivates not only your imagination, but also your heart. It's a fantastic mix of romance, intrigue, intensity and paranormal. 5 irresistible stars!

I LOVED this book!! I've never finished a book this quick. I literally needed to keep on reading, I just couldn't put this book down. The characters are amazing, and the story line is so interesting!! In the first few chapters you keep on wondering what "The Awakening" is, and I found myself skimming the page for a clue :)
The 3 sisters, Demi, Devlin & Dayia, are such great characters. Demi is the responsible one, Devlin is the free-spirited one and Dayia is still finding herself. This is a great paranormal romance with a little bit of mystery finely woven through the pages.
May I just add *CLIFFHANGER*!!! When I read the last page, I was like one of those people falling on their knees and shouting NOOOOOOOOO....
I can't wait for book 2, this story is running through my head the whole time. I felt like I was compelled to read the book that quickly. ;)
Today this book is released, happy release day Grace White!! ⭐️
***I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Lovers of Paranormal and the author.***
This book was exactly what I needed right now. I like raced through it because I kept wanting to hear what would happen next. I loved the action, especially at the house party!!!!!, and the characters and the fact that even though I might have been able to guess some of the surprises, I was excited about it still, every time.
Daiya was a great heroine, I liked the role the sisters play too. I'm a little confused still of where Heather fits into all of this so I hope that is explored more in the future. Additionally, I have mixed feelings on Kai. I love him and I love him with Daiya....but the needy thing (even if he can't help it) its sometimes a turn off. I just hope their relationship blossoms to benefit both of them further and they act as an anchor to each other and grow more and more in the next book.
I'm really excited. I saw the title to the next book at the end of this one and I already want it!!! Soo good :)
I'm so happy I got my hands on an ARC copy of Awaken! You now that moment when you find a book so good that you can't put down until you've read the whole thing? With this one it was just like that!! And don't get me started on the main couple, I loved Kai & Daiya together... Everybody needs to meet Kai! #newbookboyfriend I really liked the way the story infolded with every chapter, the characters were also likeable. Now I'm not-so-patiently waiting for the second book, because oh boy, wasn't there a huge cliffhanger in the end of the first book!
Debut book for new author Grace White and all I can say is wow. Amazing storyline about half human half demon which I have never read about before, but it had me hook, line and sinker and I'm thinking to myself when is her next book out because I need to find out what happens next. Two young people in high school falling in love but Daiya has a secret, it's the type of secret it could make or break them up for good. I think I've seriously found my new favourite author. So Grace you better get to writing I need that second book a.s.a.p
Okay so I've had a very hard time settling on a rating for this book. For the first two thirds of the book I could probably rate it a high four or maybe even a five. But the last third I rate a one so I ended up in the middle with a three star.
This is not a complete book. It is a beginning and a middle... And middle. Que next book. I am not a fan of books like those. I enjoy series' don't get me wrong but wrap up the main story line and then bring something further to the table. Even just thinking about it I'm tempted to lower my rating.
Awaken is a YA / NA paranormal romance and is the debut novel as well as Book 1 in the Lilituria Prophecy Series’ by Grace White. I absolutely loved how this story brought out all the feels and memories of falling in love for the first time. Being young and in love is so special, it’s a shame we don’t get to feel the fire and those butterflies all the time.
Remember how you felt when your eyes fell on that one special person when you were young. How the butterflies fluttered, your heart pattered, and your breath hitched? Awaken will do exactly that for you – it will whisk you away and remind you of all the little pleasures, all the feelings, the heat, the intensity that comes with a new relationship. Sadly, these things are sometimes lost on us when we grow comfortable in our relationship and it was very eye opening to follow Daiya and Kai on their journey. I loved being reminded of what new love feels like.
Being a more ‘mature’ reader, I don’t often relate to the YA genre but the Blurb for this book called to me and I’m so glad I got to experience this story. I was intrigued by the paranormal side to this story and I was not disappointed. It is not the typical paranormal theme that I have read before, so I found it very interesting to read and to learn about the Liliturian women. You will not find any vampires or shifters here. Awaken features half-human/half-demon women who feed their hunger through sex. The fight between good and evil is the underlying theme of the story and I am on edge waiting to finish this Series. The evil reminded me of the Dementors from Harry Potter - I got those same chills when the Dei Venatores were introduced. The good is just pure, innocent, young love and you can't help but hope for an HEA and that good wins out over evil. The author has thrown in enough ‘real-life’ references to have you considering the possibilities of there being some truth to the ideas.
Daiya struggles with her destiny and pushes her inner demon away as best she can. She embraces her human side and does not want to follow the path of all the Liliturian women before her and she definitely does not want to hurt anyone. She struggles with trying to separate her true feelings for the pull of the demon. When she lays eyes on Kai for the first time, she can feel the pull, but what is it? Why is there such a connection? As a Liliturian, she shouldn’t feel attraction, only lust. What can this mean? She knows that she will do everything in her power to ensure Kai is safe.
I never wanted to put this book down. It is a perfect mix of romance, questions and theories, and paranormal. I was drawn to Daiya and Kai’s relationship and the puzzle pieces that Daiya is slowing putting together to hopefully save herself from a life she doesn’t want and to save Kai from possible death. Daiya seems wise beyond her years, as does Kai. They are not your average teenagers full of uncontrollable sexual urges. They know how to savour the pull of their connection and make the chase last and the author gives us just enough sexual tension to keep us coming back for more.
This book is written in the POV of Daiya but gives us some insight into Kai’s POV here and there. It’s a shorter book and an easy read, but be forewarned – there is an enormous cliff hanger but it is an awesome one. I’m now totally stalking the author’s social media pages looking for any word on Book 2 – Allure. You can be sure, if you enjoy Awaken, you will be counting the days until Allure is available.
I fell in love with this book quickly! I love the dynamic between Kai and Daiya, and the world Grace White has created! With the ending of this book I can't wait to start the next one!
Title: Awaken Author: Grace White Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal Romance Series or Standalone: Series (The Lilituria Prophecy #1) Rating: ★★★★★
Review
I’m incredibly picky when it comes to paranormal reads. I’ve read quite a lot of them over the years and it’s because of this, and usually a lot of recycled ideas that I’ve become so picky. So to take one on, especially with a new author, not knowing if I would click with her writing style, the characters, even the background for the characters and the situations they find themselves in, can be a scary task.
But Grace White made a believer out of this reader.
With any YA/NA read, there are of course the core things you expect going in. The age of the characters playing a part, especially when based around high school, and when you add romance into the mix, a lot of the upheaval that comes along with hormones and feelings. And there were aspects of that here, at least from some of the more secondary characters. But as it pertained to the main characters, I saw something different.
Not unheard of, but definitely different and with the way this story unfolded, I think it fit perfectly.
This is a more YA book but it reads older. The characters even appear older than their actual age, and that was one of the things that drew me in most. How unlike the way I imagined they’d be, that they were. Then there’s the history. Who and what Daiya really is. What could have drowned in detail, was crisp, concise and came together beautifully. The background described here, for Daiya and her sisters, the prophecy and just what it would mean for everyone involved, I was hooked because it read original. Different.
Which I suppose is the buzz word for this story overall. It was different in every imaginable way. Even ending in a cliffhanger the way this does, it wasn’t one of those cliffhangers where you groan and wanna throw the book at the wall lol. At least it wasn’t for me. I hate cliffhangers in general, but when it comes to this one, and the AHA moment I had when it all happened, I’d venture to say this may be the one book in a long string of series style books where I loved it. I think it was masterfully crafted because leading into it, all I could do was speculate. I could only hope that I was right. It wasn’t predictable in any way.
The flow of the writing was fantastic. With stories that contain elements such as demons and higher powers, even magic, you expect it to move slower, but as I said above, it all moved in a very crisp and quick way, while still giving you all the details and little tidbits you need to know in order to connect. Each little bit of information given, timed in a way where you felt as though you were learning right along with the main character as things came to light. It was engaging, it made you think and for this reader, that’s exactly what I’m after.
Are there still questions to be answered? Are there still more secrets yet to be told? Absolutely. And I for one can’t wait to get them. Because with the way this story ended, it feels as though it’s only the beginning. For Daiya, Kai and their families. This book was the jumping off point for one hell of a ride. A ride I’m definitely glad that I took.
If you like getting lost in a world that while based in part around the one we live in, captures you and takes you into another one, this may be the book for you. Same goes if you’re into paranormal romance, or even just young adult reads in general. I really think you’ll enjoy it as much, if not more than I did.
My thanks to the author and all others involved for letting me read a copy of this before release. Daiya’s journey, Kai’s and what will hopefully eventually be their journey together in future books, is something I’m so incredibly glad I got to be a part of.

I was given an arc in exchange for an honest review.... and I am so thankful for the privilege. I wont go into detail of the story as the blurb say's it all perfectly. I don't usually read YA/NA books, however I do love a good paranormal romance. This uniquely story is amazing for debut novel. The chemistry between Daiya and Kai is beautifully intense, the story keeps your attention from the first page to the last, I had to slow my reading down to absorb all the details, the only problem now is the wait for book 2. 4 beautiful stars ****

Wow! I love this book so much. When I decided to read and review this book, I didn’t expect a lot. I was looking for paranormal, to feed my need for paranormal romance and got so much more. I felt like I was on an adrenaline high from the non stop excitement. The story started out strong and ended strong.
As a Lilituria, Daiya awakened the demon inside of her at eighteen, the story was fresh and interesting. She was innocent, a nice girl that was wise beyond her years. She met the love of her life Kai on the first day of school. The pull they had towards each other was strong and their chemistry undeniable. What they felt for each other was so much more than either one of them expected. But is the Demon inside of Daiya the one pulling Kai in? Or is it her?
I completely fell in love with Kai and Daiya story. Their sweet and sexy kisses made me blushed too many times. They were sweet and so in love with each other. Their love story kept me on high, on this story of love conquering all. They lived for each other and they thrive for each other. Their consuming love couldn’t survive being apart for too long or neither one would be right. Each page, just kept me more and more glued to their story of surviving the demon inside her. As this is the first book of The Lilituria Prophecy, it ends with a cliffhanger that I didn’t expect. I am hoping for a short wait on book 2, because I can’t wait to read it. Loved it so much.
This story started a little slow for me, but it did great picking up the pace as the story developed.
You meet Daiya and her sisters that have a great big secret. A curse that you get to discover at the same time as the characters, wich makes the story telling interesting. It brings you into a modern tale of mystery mixed with devils, spells and love, but is it really love??
This was a nice story that i really enjoyed reading. As the book goes, the story gets better and so does the writing.
A nice good book that makes me want to read the next one.
Am happy to have discovered Grace and her writing and i cannot wait to see what she will come up next.
I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. I love a good paranormal romance, they were my first love when I started reading but I haven't read one in ages. We follow Daiya and her sisters, Devlin and Demi. Daiya is the youngest and the last one in the family to awaken. Devlin is the crazy, wild sister while Demi is the one that had to grow up fast when their mother died to take care of them. Daiya is scared about awakening, and letting her demon lose. She has seen the bad side of it with her sister Devlin and doesn't want that to happen. But Daiya has always been different, even right down to the way she looks compared with her sister so what if she isn't meant to just awaken but change the balance between good and evil.
I really enjoyed this story, I like the fact it wasn't your typical paranormal book with vampires or werewolves in. The story was interesting and about half way through I found myself needing to read more to find out what would happen next. There were a few twists to the story that I didn't see coming, and had me thinking "I can't believe that just happened." The story ends on a big cliffhanger, and I'm hoping there isn't too much of a long wait for book 2. The characters were great, I loved Daiya. She just wants a normal life but that can never happen when your half demon. Devlin I felt like slapping on more then one occasion. She can be a bit of a bi*ch sometimes. Demi is completely opposite of Devlin, and she is just looking out for her sisters.
Awaken is a well written book by Grace. She has developed an interesting and unique plot. I don't recall many books covering this topic which I find very refreshing! The pace of the book is perfect, never dragging out nor does it ever feel like the author is trying to rush you through the story.
Probably my biggest issue is that it has a cliff hanger and I have no idea when the next one comes out for me to find out what will happen next to Daiya. Speaking of which, Daiya is a very likable character. She struggles through the changes she is going through, but manages to stay true to herself. Kai is an interesting character and I am still on the fence yet, but that is partially on how his character is currently described, and no I don't give away anything on books I read. Together they form this interesting relationship.
The one character that drives me nuts is Devlin. I just want to strangle her! I just don't get people like her and sadly people like her exist plentiful in real life, which makes this is even more aggravating. Grace managed incredibly well to develop her character and make sure that yes you do like her but gosh grow up already. Demi is stuck in the middle and I feel bad. The big sister who had to grow up fast to be the substitute mom, again a very relate able character and very well developed.
I really enjoyed this book. The biggest issue is the cliff hanger because I really want to know what happens next! I can just hope book 2 is close to being completed.
I have received this book from the author for an honest review. (LoP, Lovers of Paranormal)
This was one really great book and can not wait till the next one is out. Hint if it is out at time you read this, get all available books in the series. For a first book from an author I am so impressed. It is well written, and flows so well you will lose all track of time as you read. I have added Grace to my authors to watch list.
This story is about the Lilituria, a race that is the decedents of lilth as some mythology goes Adams first wife. But don’t get me wrong this is not a preachy book. It is actually quite the opposite and full of fun little bits. This story is Daiya Cattiva a Lilituria decedent, but with a twist she is fare haired and does not want to let the demon within to win. But when she turns 18 she is trying not to hurt anyone and that goes especially for Kia. She feels connected to him, but does not know why. Then she meets a friend of her mom’s and learns about the prophecy and that she may be able to resist. She just wants to be with Kia, but that may be a problem after all. But as things progress Kia may just need her as much as she needs him. Everything is going well until some really bad people find out who she is. Now she is left trying to figure out what to do. And when she find out who Kia’s father is she is really lost.
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too.
This was my first time reading anything by Grace White ,but I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this awesome story. Grace White has given us a story that will blast your shoe off your feet right from the first page until the ever end, and then will leave us wanting more from this author. The chemistry between the main characters was so corporeal ,that I felt like it was truly happening right there. As we followed Daiya and her sisters, Devlin and Demi ,Daiya who is the youngest and the last in the family to awaken. But Devlin is the crazy ,and the wild one while Demi is the one who had to grow up fast then their mother died taking care of them. But Daiya is so frightened about the awakening ,and to let her demon lose.Because she has seen the bad side of what happens with her sister Devlin, and she just doesn't want that to happen .It just happens that Daiya has always be different even with her looks compared to her sister Devlin. So is it possible that she's meant to really be just awaken, and could she just be meant to change the offset between good and evil. I could tell you more about this great story ,but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend that you read this amazing story, you won't be disappointed. "Warning CLIFFHANGER "
WOW!!! It’s been a long time since I was up till 5am reading!
But I doubt I could have put this book down if I’d tried.
I’ve read PNR books that have dealt with this particular brand of supernatural being before. But they’ve always felt sad and slightly uncomfortable.
This book shows a brand new twist on the idea and I loved the fresh and unique way this story was handled.
I loved Dayia and Kai, I loved the intense connection and how it wasn’t all unicorns and rainbows. Their connection was palpable and hot but sort of dark and evil at the same time.
I really enjoyed how the story played out. From the start I knew something good was gonna happen but I was completely shocked when it did.
Devin was frustrating in a brilliant way and I actually loved the dimension of fun she added to this serious story.
I fell hook, line and sinker for this story and by the end I was gagging for the next instalment.
This is one of the best PNRs I’ve read in a long time and I plan to stalk the author till the next book is released.
This book seriously blew my socks off. I started it, and within one paragraph I was hooked. The chemistry between the main characters Kai and Daiya was so tangible I felt like it was actually happening and I could feel it.
Now I'm a sucker for paranormal on the best day, but I truly believe that even if paranormal wasn't your favourite genre you would be able to pick this book up and enjoy it, just for the chemistry, pacing, suspense alone.
I loved the concept of these girls that have to have sex to stay alive, and the one girl who hates the thought of it. It's so clever. Just to say that while the "needs" of the Cattiva sisters are hinted at, there isn't anything overly explicit in content. So this book would be suitable for mature teenagers i.m.o.
I read this book on holiday, on my one rest day where I let my husband take care of the children. It was my best day of the holiday and I can't urge you enough to give Awaken a read and fall for the story yourself.
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
I was given an ARC of this in exchange for an honest review. I have given it 5 stars.
Grace White is a new author to me, so I wasn't sure what to expect from the new story BUT the blurb piqued my interest, so I thought what the heck?
Let me just start by saying, for a debut novel this is amazing!!! I couldn't put it down, even if I could have, I wouldn't have. I simply devoured this in a matter of hours. What a cracking way to begin a new series? It was absolutely spellbinding from beginning to end.
Full of mystery and intrigue that just grips you and pulls you into the story.
Turning 18 should be a rite of passage for everyone but for Daiya Cattiva it means that the Demon inside of her will awaken. Forced to carry around the burden of the Lilituria for the rest of her days but can an ancient prophecy change the course of destiny.
The concept of this story is so unique, well written and clearly thought out that it will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout.
Paranormal reads were my first love but in recent years I've read few and far between and the ones I have read have all gone down the normal vampire/ werewolf route which has become tired, so it takes a brave and talented author to move away from that especially for a debut author but I'm so glad Grace White did because what she created was a world I became completely immersed in and thirsted for more. Basically Grace White you nailed it !!!!!
The connection between Kia and Daiya is spine tingling, their chemistry oozes off the pages leaving you wanting that little bit more. I also enjoyed Daiya's sisters Demi sensible where's Devlin is sassy and sarcastic both play their parts well in this paranormal story. I could go one about the story but I want the readers to experience the story like I did it's the best way. I read something somewhere recently that said the sign of a good book is if it leaves you wanting just one chapter more, I want one chapter more !!!!

OH MY FREAKING GOD. What an amazing book I just read! From the beginning the mystery of Dayia and her sisters is just pulling the reader in. The cryptic conversations between made me think what they are: vampires, ware wolves??? Nothing prepared me for the story Ms White thought of. It's just simply amazing.
In this story we meet Dayia and her 2 sisters. They moved to a new city after one of the sisters have made a mistake. Dayia has enough of moving around and just wants to stay in one place. Especially now when it's her senior year and also she is going through changes. And those changes makes you wonder what is going on??
But this story is not only about Dayia and her awakening, but also about love. And ooooohhhh that love. It gives you all the right feels. Kai is every girl dream come true.
But with everything that is happening around them will they love survive??
Loved this story from the beginning. Could not put it down until it was finished.
What a story, it's about love and destiny, do things happen for a reason?
Daiya and her sisters have moved towns, yet again, and at her new school she meets Kai. The connection between them is instant and the chemistry is intense and sizzingly.
Daiya is the youngest in the family and the last one to awaken, something she is scared of after seeing the bad side of her sister Devlin's demon.
There are some great twists in this story and some even leave you shocked with that WTF Feeling.
Omg after that ending in need be next book now!!
⭐️I was extremely lucky to receive an ARC copy of this book from the Author and IndieSage PR ⭐️
Really good debut novel! Mysterious, dark. Lots of hold your breath moments.
You really feel a bit bad for these three sisters who seem, essentially, good but, have been dealt a pretty bad hand in life. Learning to live with their circumstances is not easy.
But, maybe one of them was meant to change everything.
Like the characters and, the story line is engaging. Book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, setting it up nicely for book 2.
Wowzers!! This really doesn't feel like a debut novel! It's really well written, a little dark and mysterious.
The chemistry between the two main characters is electric and the relationship between the sisters is just what you'd expect.
I like that this book steps away from the usual paranormal scenarios, nothing about it is run of the mill. Great cliff hanger so hurry up with book two please!!!
Wow for a debut novel this one was brilliant. I am not a huge paranormal romance reader but this was such a refreshing change to read. The story idea was very good and plenty of detail was given about the world of Daiya and the ancient prophecy that she is a part of. A very interesting romance develops and the book held my interest throughout. I will be interested to see where the story goes in book 2
