Intermediate Puzzles: 50 Mate in Two Chess Puzzles for Intermediate Players

Rate this book
This book contains 50 mate in two puzzles for the intermediate-level chess player. As you work through the book, you’ll not only be looking for your best moves to solve the problems, but also to give your opponent their best moves in response. Also, while many chess puzzle books have the reader solving all of the puzzles from the perspective of "white to play", Intermediate Puzzles will challenge the reader to solve puzzles from the perspective of "black to play" as well, which is more realistic.

Schloss does a great job selecting instructive and challenging puzzles that tackle a range of themes. There are only 50 puzzles here, but they pack a punch - care was clearly taken in selecting them.
