Every once in a while i enjoy reading a Rusty Wilson book, and this was a good one with some interesting bigfoot stories. Who knows if bigfoot is real, but if you check the folklore of different cultures from around the world, you will find many tales of similar creatures that supposedly existed throughout history. To this day, you can check the web and read many stories of sightings and encounters all around the world, some are hoaxes but some just might be true. If you are a believer or not, you may find this book a good read or listen (if you have audible) when you go camping or hiking in a secluded area.
After a long absence, the king has returned! Rusty Wilson is back with another great collection of Bigfoot encounter stories, this time focusing on the darker side of Bigfoot. These are not nice Sasquatch tales that you hope and pray will never happen to you. There are six, hair raising tales that you may not want to read at night or out camping. My personal favorite was the Yellowstone Fog story, it is a real occurrences that the park rangers don't like to discuss. Never mind the free sample, just click purchase, as you will definitely want to read these tales more than once. Rusty shows his superior story telling skills, and these will stay with you. I wish it was longer, as it was over too soon!
I have read all of Rusty Wilson's books - several times in fact!. I enjoy his stories and his writing style. In this latest book, he shows he has grown in his writing ability, and therefore has been able to add a depth to his writing style that will please the reader. The stories are scary, detailed, and will keep you turning the pages!. I highly recommend this book to all Bigfoot enthusiasts. It has some extremely unique incidents. A must have for your Bigfoot library collection. Trust me - you will enjoy it!!!.
I don't think I'll ever hike thru the forest alone after reading this book. Im convinced there's something out there we know very little, if anything about. An apex predator of that size would be extremely dangerous, and we'd be foolish to believe that we aren't on the menu
I love Rusty Wilson's books. They are so interesting and you can't wait to get to the next story. Real stories by real people are so believable and learning how they dealt with the issue is also interesting. I have come across something that I need some clarification on. In several books, I've read about people hearing the Bigfoot's talking. I have always assumed they had their own language, which only Bigfoot's understood. In the story I read last night, it was about a mountain climber climbing up this mountain in Alaska. As he got to the top, he sat down to catch his breath and he saw two Bigfoot. Mostly they were trying to convince him to jump off the mountain and ski to the bottom. In reality, they wanted his food. I am wondering if the altitude and height cause his mind to be a little unstable or did he really understand and believe what they were saying or just imagine it?
I’ve read all of Rusty’s books, they’re just so great; I come back every few years and re-read them!
This is just such an interesting topic; and the further and further you get into 2020’s you have to believe the government has just lied to us. Sadly, I don’t expect we will ever know the truth, or be told/informed.
On a personal note, I reached out to Rusty directly a few years ago, and he is such a kind, and intelligent human being with such great stories! If Bigfoot is your interest, start here with Rusty’s books, you will not be sorry!
Maybe it would have been more accurate to title the book, "An uncertain Beast," or "Was It A Bigfoot?" Each story was well written and captured my attention to a degree. However, in each story BF seemed to briefly show up out of nowhere. There was little foreshadowing and drama.
I like reading Rusty Wilson's books. I have read most . This one is just not the same as his other books. The first story was about an area I live in. The story had to have been made up. I know the area and other than correct town names being used nothing matched. I found the stories in the book to be the least believable.
I've read many Bigfoot mysteries over the years and this ranks near the top of the list. The author has done a fine job of relaying the experiences of others into this book creating a variety to keep you on the edge of your seat.
As always, I enjoyed reading mr. Wilson's accounts of people's contact with bigfoot. These were not as dramatic and scary as I had imagined and that helped me want to continue reading what I believe are generally gentle beasts.
Some of these stories are a bit harder to believe, but they were interesting anyway! Now as I was planning to travel a bit more as I am getting into my retirement years; I will be more aware when I am adventuring into the National Park system!
His stories are full of hiking, fishing, mountaineering lore, with just the right amount of sasquatch terror and anecdotal wisdom. Always satisfied when I read a Rusty Wilson story!
