Fantasy - Epic/Sword & Sorcery/Coming of Age/Young Adult
I write action/adventure fiction with a definite proclivity towards Sword & Sorcery. I like magicians, but I'm less partial to unicorns, dragons, elves and dwarves. But give me a hero with a magic sword and I'll make him sing... Wait, I already have!
I've published a number of works under the CasiePress imprint and there are more to come.
I'm an older guy (Guy!), married and all my kids have grown up and given me grandkids to dote over. I've read thousands of books and found that in most cases, I'd rather write than read.
A Sorcerer 's Diplomacy (Song of Sorcery Book 3) Review
Dear Guy, I am really enjoying reading this series and highly recommend reading it to anyone interested in reading a great story. Even though you stated this book in the series would be a little slow I did not experience that effect and thought you did a masterful job with action and adventure. You write wonderful lively clean stories to be enjoyed by anyone. Once again I couldn't put down the entertainment once started. Three books in three days read should attest to this review. Thanks for the entertainment. I am really looking forward to your next book in the series. When is it expect to be out? To much time between books ruins the story for me.
I absolutely love this series! The Magic system is explained really well and the characters all have problems that are "real world" without dragging down the story. I am also impressed with the growth of the MC. His accomplishments are outstanding in some areas but never superhuman and he has plenty of failures and just plain mediocrity to balance out his life. I highly recommend this book, although you should read the full series to get the best prospective. Keep them coming!
That’s more like it. A complete story this time. Though the author felt it necessary to warn about the change in a foreword. Solid read, great characters, twists that had foreshadowing yet I still missed. Some interesting culture. Slow burn with good payoff. A triumph for this author who I’ve always enjoyed but I never before put him in the same company as some of my favourite authors.
Only noticed two typos and only remember one: a hyphenated word where the last letter was replaced by a hyphen.
I have the book five stars because I found it very entertaining. I thought the new characters were interesting and I enjoyed meeting and learning about them. I thought the story was fun. I didn't mind all of the politics although at one point I had to go back and re-read a part because it was confusing remembering all the key players And a!alliances. I look forward to Ricky's next adventure
I have really enjoyed this series. I cannot find the next in the series in the kindle library and am anxious to read it after completing the excerpt at the end of this book. Per heaps a link at the end of Mr. Antibes bookseller be helpful. A really good series regardless.
As always, a compelling story that kept the pages turning but the number of spelling and grammatical errors added with the strange omissions made this 2 stars.
That being said, I will continue to read the series for the exciting adventure it details!
Enjoyed more diversity in this book with world building and the opportunity to see more countries. The mc grows in power and his relationship with pira develops. Overall very satisfying book.
Nice to Ricky starting to come into his own. After being used the way he was in the last book, it's was nice to see him taking up for himself in this one. Again some surprising revelations towards the end.
I didn't get much sleep reading the song of sorcery series I can't put the books down. I highly recommend the series.Poor Ricky is the only one with worse women problems than me.
