Undeniable Request

Rate this book
Fed up with her love life after yet another disastrous blind date, Miranda Edwards turns to the internet for comfort. Much to her surprise, she’s greeted with a random friend request from an extremely handsome stranger.

This mystery man instantly asks for a favor that captures Miranda’s attention: watch him do an explicit web performance and give an honest opinion of the show.

The mild-mannered nurse takes him up on the offer in a moment of temporary insanity. Instead of the bland strip tease she’s expecting, Michelangelo impresses her with charm, wit, and sexuality.

To the dismay of her friends and family, Miranda finds herself falling for this fantasy man who soon becomes very real. How much can one life spiral out of control after the simple act of accepting an undeniable request?

Author’s Note: This full-length comedy romance features several steamy webcam performances including those involving birthday cake, a shower scene, a superhero, and a couple more surprises that I won’t spoil for you. There are also quite a few endearing side characters such as a pair of spunky nursing home residents who aren’t afraid to speak their minds, a buxom blonde yoga instructor, and a couple villains for good measure. This tale contains no cheating, no cliffhangers, and it is produced with NON-GMO ingredients. What more could you ask for? One-click this story and let the adventure begin…

I would first and foremost like to thank everyone for taking the time to give my stories a chance. My goal is to take you out of your world, and all the stresses that go along with everyday life, and bring you into my world of romance and fantasy. I have a special weakness for hot alpha males and the feisty heroines who love them. Above all else, I hope you get a laugh out of my books. I aim to incorporate as much comedy into my romance as is humanly possible.
My professional biography is as follows (I’m not sure why it’s in the third person, evidently that’s the rule): Grace is happiest when reading, eating Portillos hot dogs, and patiently waiting for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

This is the first book I've read by Grace Risata and I couldn't put it down. I planned on only reading the first few chapters whilst relaxing in bed but I couldn't sleep until I'd finished the story of Miranda and Mickey, so read the whole book in one go.

The plot behind Undeniable Request is so creative and felt believable throughout. There were moments that had me laughing out loud and others that had me fanning myself. There were also others when I became angry towards Erika and Annie on Miranda’s behalf. I experienced so many emotions whilst reading this story and I was left wanting more when I'd finished it.

One of my favourite moments has to be the first time Miranda and Mickey sleep together because whilst it’s hot, it's also more true to life then some scenes I've read by other authors. We get to see that it's also the guy who doubts their ability in bed, and Mickey's timing for voicing his concerns had me chuckling as poor Miranda, who has finally let go, becomes frustrated lol. This scene still makes me giggle when I think about it and it's one I've had to re-read.

I was expecting Undeniable Request to be a standalone but at the end there is a note from this great author to say that there will be further books and next up is Bunny who we have already met. I can't wait to see what she gets up to as she's quite a character.

*I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book and all opinions are my own

I love all of Grace Risata’s books. She’s got that unique ability to create lovable characters that make you swoon and laugh out loud at the same time. But Undeniable Request just made my favorite list.

I loved Miranda. She’s headstrong, sweet, and a woman after my own heart. I think most single ladies can relate to her dating misery.

Micky aka Michelangelo is just amazing. Form the moment Miranda accepted his request to the very end, he enchanted me.

I’m not going to spin the story for you. So, all I’m saying is this is a fun romance that will stay with you for a long time. The connection Miranda and Micky form along with the sparks flying will make for one cold-shower needed night.

Go get it! You won’t regret it!

This was a pretty funny book. I loved the banter during the online video chatting (No Picture, Just Voice) between "Mickey" (Michael) and "Randi" (Miranda). This book definitely has some steamy parts between the two after they are together and some solo steam before they get together. I didn't like how Erika was treated in the beginning parts, when everyone was being mean to her and calling her names (she might have deserved it a bit later in the story after she spouted off, but not in the beginning). #BurpTheWorm

First at all let me tell you a little about my love of Grace Risata work, I discovered one of her book not so long ago and since purchased them all.
And I read them like I eat caviar, too many spoons at first because it is so tasty, then I slow down for the next time as it is to appreciate like precious jewels.
But yesterday I received a newsletter let us know she has a new book out.
I didn’t even go for KU, I just bought it.
And while I was doing a new list of what to read next, it came obviously on top.
First the blurb, I already wrote about it, it is always an honest introduction of the story and not a fake add of what we may expect or not, plus it is as is the author, funny and full of unexpected silly wits.
Then the story, already well introduced by the blurb but so much more, each character is well developed and the h and H meet at a turn in their life.
We will see them both growing up a lot even if they are adults, to get together and have a future, they will have to overcome to some of their past issues.
But what I love with Grace Risata, is even when her characters seem to have reached the bottom, they do not stay frozen in self-pity, plus these characters are able of forgiveness and accept others’ mistakes, and they are also always surrounded by awesome friends, each one with an amazing personality.
So please, try this one or any of her other work.

A very unique fun romance. Miranda has had a string of bad dates lately deciding to go for broke she accepts a friend request from an unknown handsome guy. Micky aka Michelangelo is looking for a way to make a quick buck and friend requests Miranda to ask her to critique his new dirty pay per view web show. As you would expect this gets very personal, very quick. As they chat more and more both Miranda and Micky begin to develop feelings for each other. Out on the town celebrating her birthday Miranda meets Micky face to face and sparks fly. As they start dating the pressure of Micky's side job begins to interfere in their new relationship. This book is wonderfully written with full cast of fun characters and you can't help but fall in love with Miranda, rooting for her to find her HEA. This story is filled humor, love and realism, it will keep you smiling through out. Highly recommended, this book made my day.

I have been following this authors blog for some time now. I find it entertaining and a joy to read. Her books, well none of them had grabbed my interest, until this one.

Undeniable request was a hoot. From the "disastrous date" to the tease for the next book (Bunny and Titan? Really?) it was continuous giggles, eye rolls, and non-stop smiles.

Miranda is someone I would like to be friends with. Some of her friends were pretty cool too, except one. *cough, cough, Erica, Cough* As for Michelangelo, well, I really don't want to spoil the story for you. *fans self vigorously while wiping some drool*

Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I look forward to the next one. I might even have to actually check out some other stories since they are all in KU. At least read the ones on my tbr mountain. Shame on me. I need to go read now.

Another very well written and entertaining story from Grace Risata.

I thoroughly enjoyed the concept and the development of the story from an online meeting to a committed relationship. The story had humour and drama and, as expected from this author, some very captivating characters. Grace has a real knack for creating characters that you want to befriend in the real world. The humour was subtle and not overdone, which befitted this story, but I'm glad that zombies got a mention or two!

Miranda/Randi [sorry, but I just couldn't get the grips with that name] and Mickey [much better than his online name] were a dream pairing and despite Randi thinking that she wasn't good enough for Mickey, he was able to convince her otherwise. I think that I connected more with Mickey for some reason [shocking I know!!!] but I still thoroughly enjoyed his developing relationship with Randi. Despite her insecurities, Randi was a sweet character who had an inner boldness just crying to be freed from the confines of her computer screen.

The family dynamic with Randi's sister Annie added another interesting dimension to the story as it gave Randi and Mickey an additional hurdle to overcome before finding their HEA.

A further story from some of the side characters looks to be planned. This time it involves Carmen's friend, Bunny. Bunny came across as real feisty and fun-loving character so I can't wait to read her story. Oh, and please bring Jane and Mrs Wainwright back for more fun and shenanigans. Those two old dears were a hoot!!!

Undeniable Request - Grace Risata

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When Grace Risata hits ‘publish’ on a new EBook, you just go right ahead and one click buy that thing, because it’s guaranteed to entertain.

With her irreverent kind of humour, turning any situation into an opportunity to not take life so seriously, Grace delivers a hilarious, yet sometimes poignant tale of Social Media insanity or more accurately, voyeurism in Undeniable Request.

Miranda Edwards has not exactly had the best luck when it comes to dating and romance but she’s hanging in there for Mr Right. Her ladies at the Assisted Living facility where she’s a nurse keep her spirits and hopes up but when she’s at home, alone, her Friendbook status still says ‘single’.
When a friend request pops up from a ‘Michealangelo’, she’s a little intrigued but her intrigue leads her to explore a friendship, with extracurricular activities that will leave you wanting more.

Quirky, well developed characters that you can’t help forming an attachment to, make this a well rounded, fun, flirty and plenty dirty read that you’ll love.

Grace Risata, you’ve done it again girl!

Anyone who has read Grace's previous books know by now that any story from her will contain laughs, weirdness ( the good kind ), some zombie craze and an absolute wonderful story line.

She delivers it this time too. The lead characters are funny, realistic and lovable to the boot.
The story has no drag. The characters are all outlined well. The author is cunning enough to give us a good outline about every single person and then make us hope and pray that she gives us books on all of them.
You just can't put down the book until you complete it and still want for more.
Hopefully, the book she hinted at the end comes out fast!!

She thinks she's funny that Grace! Let me tell you a secret... *whispering* She is!!

This story is one I haven't come across quite in this way. It is full of one liners, laugh out loud antics, embarrassing happenings, and drama that can't compete. And the Internet. What could happen when you are casually scrolling through you feed and you see a few new notifications?

I made a list telling Grace why I hated her, although it is with pure love, honesty!

1. She made me fall asleep with my bra on.

She wanted to know how this was her fault. Let me tell you. I couldn't force myself to put this book down for the 8 seconds it took to take that particular item off before bed, hence...Her fault!

2. Back to the one liners.

It would take me all day to write them all down and a moth of studying them to get them all wrong! In Awe!

3. She makes it too hard to put the words away~back to #1 and the bra debacle

4. She's a little sassy and LOT BAD-ASSY!

Her library of titles are HOTT, this one isn't excluded but different than the others. I love that she went a totally different direction in this story than the others, it shows her diversity as an author if you ask me, and well even if you didn't ask there it is .

Undeniable Request by Grace Risata is a Romantic comedy standalone.
This was such a fun, lighthearted, romantic comedy. I really enjoyed escaping into this story. I love how random Miranda and Mickeys chance meeting and introduction was.
There was so much to like about this I don't know where to start. It was super funny - The banter and the situations were hilarious and creative. The characters - flawed and real it was close to perfection. The story arc - unusual and unique. And a fabulous writing style to top it all off. A great read for some silly, lighthearted fun. Highly recommended.
I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

I am a huge fan of Grace Risata's books and once again this one didn't disappoint me. It's full of sexy banter, online sex shows, laughter and amazing characters. I rolled my eyes so many times I thought they would pop out!!.
Grace has a natural talent for comedy and I now know not to read her books with a mouth full of food or drink!!
She brings her characters to life and makes you feel part of the story and I certainly I would have loved a friends request from Michaelangelo......You really need to one click this book!!

Undeniable Request is a cute, quirky and somewhat surreal exploration into today's online dating world and what happens when you accept a random friend request from a stranger who immediately asks you for a favor.

Reading this story made me feel like I was on some kind of weird roller coaster ride with its ups and downs, along with some loop-de-loops, a major vomit inducing plunge downwards and a few stomach clenching twists. The writing reflects it too because it's not as smooth and seamless as I'd like it to be and the pace is a little frenetic as we dive into Miranda's dating life with a colorful cast of supporting characters around her. At times I felt like the supporting characters took up too much page space and I wanted more time spent developing the relationship between Miranda and Michelangelo (that's not his real name, by the way. Half the fun is finding out his real name at some point during the book). I think this story could have conveyed all it needed to convey with a lot fewer words and got to the point a lot faster. Still, it was a fun read. It's a bit like scrolling Facebook. Sometimes you know you need to get off it and go do something else but you just can't look away because of some drama or other that's unfolding. The writing style is a little quirky which is what lends this story it's rather surreal feel. And yet, there's a strange realism to this story that makes you wonder if this could actually happen in real life.

I liked Miranda a lot. She's a sensible girl who's had a few, okay, a lot of dating disasters. So she clicks "accept" when a random stranger sends her a friend request. That develops into a rather odd and slightly sexy online friendship that spills over into her real life when she and Michelangelo meet. I did enjoy the way Ms Risata had them meet in real life. It was a little coincidental, a little contrived but it worked. Before long, Miranda finds herself falling for the real person that Michelangelo is. Like every normal girl out in the dating world, she faces her share of doubts, trials and dramas. It takes a little reminding but Miranda understands and realises her worth. It was good to see her stand up for herself and try to fight for what she believed in and wanted. One thing I did not like was how mean people were to Miranda. So many people kept saying to her that no way a woman like her could possibly have a guy like Michelangelo like her for who she is because he's way out of her league. That's just mean. People can be so hateful and I felt bad for Miranda. She did not deserve that. Who needs enemies when you have friends like that?

Michelangelo is a great guy in a very bad situation. His crazy internet scheme is a way for him to pay off huge medical debts from surgery. He's trying to be creative about how he makes money while he's laid up with rehab without a home of his own. Even then, he's responsible, caring and sensitive. He does make a poor judgment decision along the way but he's desperate and desperate times call for desperate measures. It's a good thing he comes to his senses at the right time and makes things right.

I found the ending a little strange and the situation with Miranda and Michelangelo left me wanting more. They end up with more of a happy for now situation and I'm happy ever after kind of girl. I wanted something more permanent for them because I'm a traditionalist at core when it comes to my romances and I like hearts and flowers and pledges of undying love.

This is my first book by Ms Risata and it was fun. I'll definitely check out her other books.

Michelangelo Davinci wants to be your friend. What do you do? Well, if he’s a hot, and I mean H-O-T, guy, with a body that’s a work of art, of course, you accept his request. And, from there the adventure begins. Miranda has had it with disaster dates and is ready for something new and different. Little did she expect that from that one click would begin a roller coaster of laughter, crazy family drama, sexcapades, heartache, tears, and love.

This is a delightfully funny, very hard to put down romance, full of emotions and hot, steamy passion. Be careful where you read this because there are parts where you will burst out laughing, and parts that may bring you to tears. No matter what emotions this book draws out you will not regret reading this engaging love story. It will change the way you feel about pickles and birthday cake and definitely leave you wanting more!!

Undeniable Request by Grace Risata
Five Stars

Undeniable Request is a wonderfully written romantic comedy by Grace Risata. I love this book! It made me laugh out loud. That is truly how I judge my reads. If they bring out emotions like making me laugh or cry, then i'm vested in the book. The characters were completely believable and I felt like I was right there with all the craziness going on. Miranda Edwards is such a great lead. She is funny and sweet, but also has a backbone when needed. Mickey is hot and witty and not afraid of life. The supporting characters really brings make this story come together and I can’t wait to see what will happen next in this story this some of them. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a really funny, heartwarming romance.

I absolutely love Grace Risata's writing. You know you're going to get a great story, with crazy moments, lots of laugh out loud situations, and hotness, lots of hotness!!!
After another disastrous date, Miranda is ready to call it a day but then she gets a friend invite from a friend of a friend of a friend on a social media site. Out of curiosity she accepts. At the other end is "Michelangelo", a drool-worthy hunk, who wants her advice. And from there it's a no-holds barred crazy set-up!
When they accidentally meet, all bets are off! This just has to happen! And the hotness just gets hotter!
Excellent fun read!

I know that when I’m in the mood for a romantic comedy, I know I can always count on a book from Grace to satisfy the itch. I loved this book. I loved the characters and was even more excited to learn that there will be more to come on the secondary characters soon. This is a fun book of two people who meet online and let me tell you that it is not what you expect at all. Also be warned, you will never look at birthday cake the same.

I would have loved to have given this book five stars but unfortunately the author is anti-Patriots and her comment about them almost caused me to fall off the treadmill.

Really loved this book, a super fun and entertaining read.
This book has just the perfect amount of hotness and humor. Which is pretty much a given for a Grace Risata book. A great story with a perfectly crafted and well written set of characters, I really want to read more about all of them! I can tell Bunny is going to be really fun.
I really enjoyed reading Miranda and Mickeys story, I totally loved Mrs Wainwright and Jane they are a hoot!
I look forward to her next great read.

This is the first book I am reading by the author. I must say I am not disappointed. Mickey's online shows -- from his "dialogue" (LOL!) to the birthday cake (fanning myself!!) -- are quite entertaining. The chemistry between the two is felt from the moment they "meet" online. The author has a flair for infusing humor throughout her story while also addressing serious issues the characters are facing in their personal lives.

This started out so well. I love this author's use of humor, and she is a good writer.
I don't like how quick she is to have the H and h call each other or think of each other as "my girl" or "my guy" so quickly in the book, which is written in the first person.

*SPOILER BELOW*

The H's potential new job towards the end of the book was a deal breaker for me. This killed the whole story.

I loved this book soooo much!

Undeniable Request is funny, laugh-out-loud, and a dramatic read. I loved the male protagonist, Mickey so much. He was the perfect man for Miranda, and he deserved his happily-ever-after as much as Miranda did.

Miranda was such a brilliant character. She was caring, funny, but not perfect. She was human, and I loved that. She was a beautiful woman who met her true love in the most unexpected of ways.

Grace Risata knocked it out of the park with this novel. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and you will too!
