Troy fights fires for a living… but the hot fire of a cool scientist is nothing short of magic. Troy Hartman is a firefighter and EMT who fought his way out of the shifter gangs as a kid. He’s been watching the Wilding family in the news as they battle the Wolf Hunter, and he’s been itching to join the cause. When the Wilding research facility gets firebombed, he’s first on the scene… and first to rescue a beautiful blue-eyed white wolf.
Only this is no ordinary shifter.
Zoe Wilding is a genetic researcher with a secret she’d rather not have, but with Agent Smith’s immorally-acquired experimental data on shifters, that may change. If she can just isolate the gene that expresses her dangerous white wolf, she’ll finally have a normal life. One that might include a man, if not a mate.
Then her lab blows up.
All five of the Wilding families have now been targeted by the Wolf Hunter, and the entire cadre of white wolves—Grace, Noah, Kaden, Owen, and now Zoe—have joined together to find him. Troy’s all-in with Daniel Wilding for the hunt, but the closer Troy gets to Zoe, the more his wolf wants her… only she’s hell-bent on destroying the magic inside her. Can he win over this gorgeous girl and get her to accept the beauty of her inner wolf… or will finding the Wolf Hunter destroy the wild fire inside the woman he’s starting to love?
WILD FIRE is a complete novel with HEA, the fifth in the Wilding Pack Wolves series. All stories are standalone, but for maximum reader enjoyment, start with the Riverwise Private Security trilogy. Contains scorching hot shifters, alpha heroes, and sexy witches.
Great conclusion to this series with a hot firefighter shifter and white wolf researcher as the center romance. We get to see some of the previous couples. A side romance with Daniel and one for Mama Rivers. My mouth hit the floor when we found out who the father and grandfather white wolf was and what the true back story was. I'm glad they finally a-head of the wolf hunter.
What a riveting finale to this great series of shifter series! With a hot fireman shifter and a secret white wolf scientist this is a steamy ending to the search for the Wolf Hunter. As the white wolves start to discover more of their witchy powers, Zoe finally admits that she can shift and that she’s a white wolf but only because the hot fireman who rescued her, Troy Hartman, encourages her to do so. Out at the safe house the shifters are developing their skills getting ready for their decisive encounter with the person who seems determined to punish and kill all shifters. Zoe, however, determines that the person the Wolf Hunter most wants is actually the grandfather she has never met but has known about all her life because of the family’s secret history. Who will find him first? Can Zoe help mankind by harnessing the self healing powers of the white wolves and applying it to others? Does she really want to kill off her own wolf? Will she give the mutual attraction between her and Troy a chance? Can they find the missing Wilding male or will the Hunter continue to stalk and kill members of his family?
This is an action packed conclusion to a well devised series and contains more than one potential romance interwoven in the thrilling adventure. There are plenty of twists, turns and turmoil as all the shifters face their own dilemmas as the white wolves finally get together to hone their skills in an attempt to give them a better chance of defeating the predatory Wolf Hunter. The characters are superbly portrayed, making it easy to suspend disbelief and be totally engaged in the story. I’ve actually thoroughly enjoyed all three series which culminate in this story and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys paranormal adventures with hot shifters, steamy romance and action packed plots.
Thanks to the author for gifting me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I am sad to see it ending but oh what an ending it is! Zoe is a scientist and wants a normal life that doesn’t included the secret that she is a white wolf. When her lab explodes, firefighter Troy is first on the scene and rescues a white wolf. Growing up in shifter gang, Troy has been keeping an eye on the news and what has being happening to the Wilding family, now he wants to join the fight. His attraction for Zoe is growing can he convince her to love and embrace her Wolf side. So much action and drama, I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between Zoe and Troy is hot. A great read!
This is the 5th book in this series but I’ve read hundreds of books since the first one so I’m not sure what the series is all about anymore, so I won’t read any more books about the Wildings. I remember a lot of the characters names but not their stories very much. And this wasn’t my favorite from what I do remember. Zoe spent too much time trying to come up with a serum to kill the white wolf inside her. It was like no matter what exciting things were going on with the packs, or the mayor, or between Zoe and Troy THAT was always her main concern: how do I kill my wolf? It became crazy after about 85% of the book. I did find myself skimming past Zoe's thoughts once in a while. And I did like Troy but he was kind of love-sick.
There was explicit sex in this book and the F-bomb was used 27 times.
As to the narration: After listening to Angela Starling for a few minutes I thought “OMG she’s awful at men’s voices.” THEN the chapter changed to Douglas Berger and I thought, “Oh, that’s better.” He did men and women both great but SHE did the men horribly. Of course, neither of them read with any feeling or emotion, which doesn’t make for a good narrator. I thought the purpose in having a male and female narrator was so they could do the male and female voices separately. That was not to be! One chapter Troy and Daniel and all the other men would sound girlie and the next they would sound manly. It was totally ridiculous. What was the point in having a male and female if you were going to ruin the book that way? I would listen to Mr. Berger again maybe but NOT Ms. Starling. She definitely needs to work on her men’s voices.
This is the one I’ve been waiting for! The bad guy is finally revealed and dealt with – but wow, are there revelations and shocks in store for fans of the series.
The title is very apropos but I’m not going to share why. That’d be telling. Zoe and Troy are the couple in Wild Fire and once again, Ms. Woods’ storytelling finesse is in full force.
Believe it or not, Zoe’s conflict is parallel to the villain’s, except she was following a more helpful and healthy path, sort of, but the bad guy’s path was darkness personified – or he was just plain crazy. Readers can decide for themselves but I guarantee they’ll all agree that he was written as a perfect picture of evil.
My first impression of Troy, the hero, is that he is …. cute. Like, earnest, happy puppy cute. But there is nothing truly puppyish about Troy. He’s a firefighter – valiant, brave and sincere in his quest to join in and offer anything he could to help catch the bad guy. The interesting difference between the hero of Wild Fire versus the heroes in the previous books is that even though he is his own man and alpha, I got the impression that his character is off to the side to let Zoe take most of center stage. It’s not a bad thing because from my perspective, Zoe has a ton of personal life-changing decisions to make that directly affect the outcome of the plot. Her character is strong, but then she does come from the Wilding family so it makes total sense.
The one big shock is epic in its effect. Again, I’m not going to go any farther because there is no way I want to spoil the fun. Yes, the revelation pours jet fuel onto the plot’s momentum, and the storytelling provides chills and thrills, excitement and reasons to cheer for not only Zoe and Troy, but all of the wolf packs I’ve come to know and adore.
Through it all, Zoe finds herself unable to resist the passion she finds with Troy. She tries, oh boy does she try, but Troy is patient, determined and in love. An alpha in love is not a force to be thwarted so the HEA is inevitable. It’s the getting there that’s half the fun. I’d say the lovemaking scenes were pretty darned hot because the bedroom door is wide open. They were well placed and well written so they enhanced the story and the romance.
There is a sub-romance going on in the background and I was surprised that the author didn’t save that story for another book because the undertones were strong. When I finally reached the end of Wild Fire, I saw that there IS another story, a novella for Daniel’s romance. I’m thrilled because what I saw in this novel was compelling and looked positively fun. Guess what I’m going to read next?
Wild Fire wrapped up with another satisfying happy ever after with all the threads coming together. The bad guy was finally whipped, the shifter world is safe, and love is in the air. Excuse the pun, but this was a WILD RIDE! I’m extremely happy that I discovered this series. It was time well spent and I enjoyed every moment. I don’t just recommend this book, I recommend the whole series!
4 stars Cute couple .... both kind of innocent, one with being a part of a pack and the other at being intimate who someone. Coming to together through a hot recue and helping each grow, while saving the world by capturing the bad guy and solving a mystery too.
Loved that mama Rivers found possible love again with another widower (the handsome Mayor) too! At the same time, Daniel found his possible mate (in a little witch) and his inner white wolf strengh with her help.
With that said...this book had more going on then the previous books in this series and almost seemed sped up to finish solving everything too. And, when did Daniel become the leader, he wasnt like this at all during the Riverwise triology...just saying🤷♀️
Not to mention the huge sudden dispointment when it was discovered on who was the original white wolf. Only to find out, he was a coward and dead beat... who after losing his supposed love and mistress to his brother( the alpha), then kills his brother and leave all his children / nephews without a pack leader. Purposely impregnate 3 women during his journey and then leaving them once pregnate...jerk!! He only stopped when he met a human woman, who showed him a better life but instead of being a better man to this woman, he decided not to give her any children. Truly this 'powerful man/witch-wolf' is true jerk and real no leader ...too much like the Lion in The Wizard of Oz!! Poor mama Rivers....🤦♀️ I truly had all the emotions that Troy did while all this was discovered too!!

Magical bonds that link us and give us strength! **SPOILER ALERT**
Zoe Wilding has a very deep dark secret she has managed to hide her entire life until the Wolf Hunter targeted her lab with a fire bomb. After the explosion, right when she didn't think she would make, an angel walks in to save her. There is another explosion and her angel is now the first person to know her secret.
Noah is a shifter fireman who has gone into the still exploding lavatory and finds a very naked and burnt Zoe! He is not sure what it is about her, but decides he doesn't want to be away from her and wants to help in the search for the Wolf Hunter. So now he will join her in going to the Rivers Estate.
With Noah, Zoe finds the courage to tell her family her secret. Discovers she is crazy powerful and there is more to being a wolf then she thought. She doesn't understand her connection with Noah but there is enough for her to give him a very special gift.
I love the ending and how they come together. I love the characters and can't wait to read the next book in the series.
I loved this book and the entire series. Like the others, it centers on the white wolves and their on-going battle to find and eliminate the threat of the wolf hunter. Here we have Zoe and Troy whose love story is much like the others in that it's complicated and filled with issues that could potentially keep it from culminating. However, love always wins out in the end. We learn the true story of the original white wolf as opposed the one that's been handed down through generations and finally meet the him. And the threat of the wolf hunter is finally eliminated. Although this the end of the story Alisa has a little bit more to tell so she's given us final story that takes place in tandem with this one. I'm off to read that one next.
Zoe is a shifter working along side her father in genetic testing. She's hiding a huge secret from her father and her family. Her father thinks she hasn't shifted yet, but she has. A white wolf and she's scared. She's trying to get a serum to kill off her wolf. She feels the wolf is bad because of her grandfather and the wolf Hunter. When the Hunter is after her and blows up the building gorgeous fireman Troy is to the rescue when he finds her in wolf form he is in love with her wolf. Can these two work it out since, she doesn't want her wolf? Can Troy talk and show Zoe that her wolf is the best thing for her? Need to read great series.
Werewolf firefighter, genetic researcher werewolf, and werewolf Hunter
Zoe is busy in her lab, trying to find a cure for being a werewolf. When she hears a noise, opens the door to a cabinet only to have the whole lab erupt in flames. Tyler, a firefighter, saves Zoe. Zoe and her other relatives that are white werewolves train to stop the werewolf Hunter. This is a fast moving suspense, romance, action, thriller that is well-written with well-developed characterization. Adult readers due to sexual and violent content.
Sweet and sexy story. The shifters finally reach the conclusion of their struggle to stop the crazed Wolf Hunter. Secrets regarding the original Wilding white wolf are revealed, along with his identity, and his descendants get the closure they've longed for. The love story hinges on the heroine as she comes to accept and love herself, white wolf and all, so she can accept the love of her mate.
I'm going to miss these characters. There's just one last novella after this, and the Wilding Pack series will be wrapped up.
Zoe and Troy’s story When the wolf hunter turns his attack on the Wilding lab where Zoe works, he blows up the lab and fire fighter Troy saves Zoe life. I enjoyed how Troy asked Zoe to introduce him to her cousin because he was “fanboying” I really like all the action in these books. However I feel like I read them years ago and don’t know enough to stop reading, but know enough the the surprises aren’t surprising so the book isn’t holding my interest like it would for a 1st time read
Finally someone took out that pesky wolf Hunter! Kudos to Zoe. The more powerful witch wolf, And a chunky firefighter emt. Who falls quickly for her! It's the mateing pull they don't know yet but find out, thank goodness she doesn't go forward with the removing her white wolf
This book like the entire series was so entertaining! I loved every minute I invested in to these books! It ticked every box of excellent work by a new to me author! I already purchased another one of her series! Bring on the dragons!
A good story and the plot moved along well. Not enamored of the characters. I hate whiny people who just cannot get on with it, but have to whine about their life and want to be something different.
Mayor is kidnapped. His secret is out. Zoe is rescued by a shifter fireman named Troy. He is captivated by her but she wants to get rid of her wolf. The hunt for the wolf Hunter continues. Her a T story, steamy Romance and new characters. Read this series
Woah Zoe is just badass and very powerful. For someone who doesn't want her wolf it sure comes in handy. As my heading reads, this one is a much read in this series.
WILL ZOE KILL HER WHITE WOLF AND ANY HAPPINESS SHE CAN HAVE WITH TROY?
"He's a hot fireman. She's a cool scientist. The wildfire between them is nothing short of magic.'This direct quote from the synopsis of the book is how I would describe this book. This work of Alisa Woods could almost be described as a MASTERPIECE! I do not think that Alsia could have ended this series any better. This book can be described as AN FABULOUSLY WONDERFUL MASTERPIECE!!!! I laughed, I cried, I got mad, and I wanted to KILL! The story line and the characters spun a mystery so fantastic that I believe this is a best seller. My attention was grabbed at the beginning of the book and held till the very end. Another sign of a wonderful author. If I wore a hat I would tip it off to Alisa Woods for a job fantastically done. I definitely recommend this book to mature readers 18 years of age oe older.
Zoe Wilding is a genetics physicist and good at her job. She is working with Agent Smith’s immorally-acquired experimental data on shifters hoping to one day be able to get rid of the secret she hiding from every one including her family. Hoping that one day she can rid herself of this secret and live a normal life and possibly even a man or a mate. One day while working in her lab and the Wolf Hunter blows it up and her knight in shining armor comes to the rescue. Only thing is this knight finds out her secret that she is hiding from her family.
Troy Hartman is a shifter who has had to fight his way out of the gangs as a kid and make something of his life. He became a firefighter and EMT so that he could help people. The bombing of the Wilding research lab and the rescue of a gorgeous, blue eyed White Wolf puts him in contact with Daniel Wilding and his way in to help with the hunt for the Wolf Hunter. He has been wanting to help with this cause ever since it started. Now he has a chance to help with the Wolf Hunter cause and a chance to win over the beautiful white wolf who happens to be Zoe Wilding,
With the bombing that almost killed Zoe Wilding it meant that now all five of the Wilding families have now been targeted by the Wolf Hunter. This also pulled all of the white wolves---Gace, Noah, Kaden, Owen, and now Zoe together to find the Wolf Hunter. Troy gets Daniel Wilding to let him help with the White Wolf and it will also put him closer to Zoe. His wolf wants her bad, and she is determined on destroying the magic inside her. Can Troy make her see how gorgeous she and her white wolf are? Can he get her to accept the beauty of her inner wolf? Or will finding the Wolf Hunter destroy the wild fire inside the woman he’s starting to love?
There are so many surprises in this book and it is hard to review without giving something away. No Spoilers given. ARC free book given for an honest review.
This is the last book in in Wilding Pack Wolves series. What a finale!
Troy is a Firefighter and an EMT. He managed to get away from the shifter gang to make a life for himself. He has never belonged to a pack and knows nothing about pack life. Living and working in the human community doesn't give him much chances of finding a shifter mate.
Zoe Wilding is a scientist. She is not happy about the nature of her wolf and is working hard to isolate the gene which could get rid of her wolf. She doesn’t date much for that reason and is hoping that if she succeeds, she will be able to live a "normal" life.
Whilst Zoe is working late one night, the lab gets blown up! Troy comes to the rescue. Zoe is in a bad state but amazes Troy with her abilities. Troy keeps quiet about what he has seen but wants to get to know Zoe better! She is not having it though. She is attracted to him but pushes him away just the same. Will she change her mind and give him a chance? Troy has joined Daniel and the rest of the pack to be a part of the "hunt" for the Wolf Hunter. Something he has wanted to do since the Wolf Hunter started to target the wolves. Can he adapt to being part of a pack?
It's nice to see the other Wilding family members again, specially a very loving and assertive Daniel. The River Pack plays a role too. The Mayor is still very supportive of the wolves but there is a big twist here!
This final instalment is full of surprises. Expect the unexpected! Like the other books in the series it's fast paced and hot! To me this is the best of the series. I would fully recommend this series to other readers.
I received a complimentary ecopy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Title: Wild Fire Series: Wilding Pack Wolves Destination: Book 5, Author: Alisa Woods Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Genre: #PNR #WolfShifters #WhiteWolf My Score: Book 50 Stars ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Series 1000 Stars ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ It's ashamed I'm only allowed 5 Stars
♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡¤▪♡ As I'm trying to read the end of the Wilding Series, I'm crying because I don't want this to end I really do love first it was River Pack Wolves Series and then Wilding Pack Wolves Series they were just both absolutely extraordinary. Who would of thought to have White Wolves who have magic it's remarkable. Ms. Woods is spectacular in her writings each page flows as I read, loving it when they flow page-by-page it is so easy and exciting to read. When you're lucky to get a book like this you don't want to put it down you want to read it to the end in one sitting. Zoe Wilding went to college at a young age and worked at her father's laboratory. She was a scientist putting hour after hours in the lab to cure her DNA the White Wolf not only that but she had powerful magic some she knows how to control, some she doesn't and what you don't know is scary but one good thing was she had fast superhealing. Troy Hartman is a EMT and a wolf with no pack, he has been following the news of the Wolf Hunter and how he was killing Wolves plus the fact that Rivers and Wilding Packs were fighting the psycho wolf hunter. When he got the call the Wilding Labs were exploding he want to help and found Zoe first, as he was trying to save her but Troy discovered her many secrets and saved him without realizing what she was doing. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.
I have finished reading most of Alisa Woods' books (via Kindle Unlimited). They weren't half bad. Had a lot of the shifter paranormal tropes, but they were good adventures and I really liked the characters. And the were distinctly different characters, which seems hard for some series writers to pull off. I liked the overarching story line too, and the series' were well written.
True Alpha and Dark Alpha unfortunately got lower scores. I think they were her first writings so it may just have been new author struggles. The River Pack series got 3 stars and this one (Wilding Pack) started with 3 and moved to 4 with this book. The pricing of each is appropriate for a new author though so I was happy to pay it for the ones I did buy. Some of the negatives were the male dominance stuff (outlined below) that pervades all of these series. If you're interested in getting all of the overarching story you'll want to start with True and Dark, but the books were still readable out of order too.
I didn't care much for the male dominant-female submissive aspect; in fact it almost sounds like it was written by a male trying to explain how just because men are supposed to be the superior in the relationship doesn't mean they will be abusive, as that's very wrong you see. Obviously missing the point that it's just as valid for the female (or whatever gender) to be the dominant/superior. But the rest of it is good enough that I can overlook that in most of the books.
I'm looking forward to reading her new dragon series!
Last book in the series which wraps everything up nicely. The main romance centres around Zoe Wilding, a genetics researcher and Troy, a sexy hot firefighter and EMT. As it's the last in the series, there are also budding romances for Mama River and Daniel (not with each other lol). Zoe has a secret that not even her father knows about.... she's a white wolf but more than that, she's a witch as well.... and she's working hard on a serum to kill off her wolf. The action starts straight away when Zoe is seriously injured in a firebomb and Troy comes to her rescue.
After escaping the attack, it is decided that Zoe should take refuge at the River family Estate up in the mountains. Not belonging to a pack, Troy takes leave from the fire service and goes with her to get her settled and join in the fight against the Wolf Hunter. Continuing with her research in the mountains, Zoe and Troy become closer and he persuades her to share her secret with her family which comes in handy much later in the book when they take their fight directly to the Wolf Hunter. After she reveals her wolf to her family and Skylar, a local witch helping them to hone their witch power, Zoe learns from Skylar that her witch powers far exceed the powers of her cousins.
There is plenty of suspense and we finally learn who the Wolf Hunter is and what his ultimate plan is for the shifter community. All the characters from the previous books make an appearance in this one and everything wraps up nicely with a HEA.
This book is the culmination of the Wilding series and it was great. I have enjoyed reading all five books in the series as they kept me entertained and laughing and engaged in the reading the whole time.
At no time reading any of the books especially this last one did the author write the same story for each set of characters which is a plus. She kept the storyline fresh and she gave each set of characters their own place in the story which was even better. I like the fact that the author did not rehash the story from the previous book and each subsequent book took off where the previous book left off.
This is Zoe's story and where you learn about her life in the wild in family. So graduated from college before she was 21 with a doctorate degree and she has been keeping a secret from her family her father included. She is always felt like she really did not belong it is always kept to herself. When the wolf hunter targets her next and his effort to do away with Wolves he blows up her lab.
Troy Hartman is a firefighter, EMT, and a wolf he saves Zoe's life after the blast. Troy has been a loner all his life he's never been part of a pack or family. Meeting her this way makes his inner wolf setup in howl.
Together Zoe and Troy will work with the other Wilding and River packs to eradicate the wolf Hunter.
The conclusion to the Wilding Pack Wolves series brings us a fitting ending to the story. We get to see a little of the other Wildings as well as meet Zoe Wilding, a white wolf working as a genetic researcher. She’s not happy being a white wolf, scared of her powers, and wants to find the gene that can suppress that part of her.
An unfortunate (or fortunate, depending on how you view it ) event puts her on the path of Troy Hartman, an EMT firefighter who happens to come to her rescue when her lab blows up. The encounter serves to bind their paths, as he lets her know he wants to work with her cousin Daniel on finding the Wolf Hunter.
Zoe is reluctant to find a mate since she fears what her wolf can do. Troy is determined to show her how much his wolf wants her. They’re destined to be together, and that’s what he’s panning on showing her.
The relationship between Zoe and Troy seemed to move a bit slower than the previous ones. We hear how they each tell themselves how they want each other, yet for some reason I didn’t feel the chemistry as much. That was somewhat missing for me. I did enjoy seeing Mama River find some kind of happiness outside of taking care of everyone else. The secret to the white wolf gene was finally discovered and that was a shocker.
A great finish to the Wilding Pack Wolves series. This time the story focuses around Zoe Wilding the most powerful of all the white wolves despite her low profile. Troy is a shifter firefighter EMT who rescues her from her laboratory inferno. There love is more tentative than the other Wilding family. She's shy, more conservative and Troy wants to protect her but realises that she is more powerful than even he can protect - but sometimes protection is about emotional support rather than physical. This story just continues and resonates with the previous stories - entwining and finishing off loose storylines. I adore Alisa and her writing - this would have been 5* but was being a bit picky - I lost track of the story during the raid sequences and had to read several times to understand which pack was guarding attacking which bit - previous books built the captivity rescue and attack sequences much more fluidly. Being picky sorry - trying to give honest review!!
This is the fifth and final book in the Wilding Pack Wolves series by Alisa Woods, and was another good one. Zoe Wilding is a genetic researcher and has a secret she is one of the white wolves she is hoping that Agent Smith’s immorally-acquired experimental data on shifters will change things for her and that she will get a normal life. When her Lab blows up she meets Troy Hartman a firefighter and E.M.T. who fought his way out of the shifter gangs . The Wolf Hunter, has now set his sights on Zoe ,and everyone must fight to bring him down, that includes Troy. Who is the Wolf Hunter? Will Zoe see her white wolf is not bad? Will Troy and Zoe get a happy ending? All these will be answered with this book. I was gifted a copy for an honest review barwatts@telus.net
Zoe Wilding is a scientist and the last of the Wilding cousins to be attacked by the wolf hunter. When he blows up her lab, with her in it, she’s rescued by firefighter shifter Troy Hartman. As soon as Troy sees the beautiful white wolf, he doesn’t want to leave her side, but he’s not sure how he can change her mind from her chosen path. This was a good ending to the the Wilding series. The author did a great job of answering any remaining questions and showing the main Wilding characters together to finally put an end to the wolf hunter. I highly recommend. **I received an advanced copy of this story in exchange for an honest review
