Riley Miller: I want to keep my mom safe in her home and one man stands in my way. I'll do anything to achieve my goals and I always win. Just because the man is smart, kind, and handsome doesn’t mean I can’t succeed. Right?
Hank Jones: She’s gorgeous and clever and from the minute she walks into my office, I’m intrigued. But sabotaging my company? Lying and cheating does not go with that angel face. Someone needs to teach her a lesson. It might as well be me.
This is book two in the Along Came Jones series but it can be read as a standalone.
Publisher’s Note: This romance is intended for adults only. It contains elements of domestic discipline and sensual scenes. If any of these offend you, please do not purchase.

Hank needs a temp to fill in for his administrative assistant and in walks Riley. She gets the job but Riley does have a hidden agenda. What she doesn't expect was to fall for Hank which makes everything so very complicated.
Hank is an alpha male who knows what he wants and is not afraid to spank Riley if she does not follow his rules, which is a huge surprise for Riley. There is some real chemistry between Hank and Riley. I enjoyed reading the book and I also liked catching up with Sebastian and Maggie from the first book of this series.
I enjoyed this wonderful domestic discipline romance. Although it is the second book in the series, it can also be read as a standalone. Hank and Riley have chemistry and spark. Riley earns plenty of spankings that were well placed and appropriate for the situations. I loved that the storyline had family, laughs, and love. There are plenty of ups and downs that they can handle together. Sometimes life takes you on different paths, some you don't expect but just as good, if not better. I recommend this book for a wonderful nights read! Way to go!! I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book.
SHE HIT THE PERFECT STORM AND THEN ALONG CAME HANK JONES
A wonderful addition to the Along Came Jones series, but could easily read well as a stand-alone. Riley Miller will come back home to southern Indiana to be with her mother who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and to try and handle an issue with Jones Equipment Supply Company that wants to have her family’s farm rezoned and acquired to build themselves a bigger store. She will attend a town hall meeting and know who she will be going up against. What comes as an unexpected surprise is that he needs a temporary office assistant and she plans on getting the job.
Hank Jones is the oldest of the four Jones children and CEO of the family-run company. Now that his father has retired, his parents have been doing a lot of world traveling. When Celeste, the office assistant has a heart attack, she will have Hank get a temporary assistant until she can return to work.
Riley Miller will waltz into Jones Equipment Supply Company office, and her demeanor and confidence will sell Hank on hiring her. She doesn’t hesitate but starts right into work. She lets him know she is in the area to help out with her mother in early stages of Alzheimer's and that normally she works on Yachts with high-end clientele, but has worked in the hospitality business at a resort.
The plot will have Riley with hopes to learn more to try and help save her mother’s farm, knowing how important that she keeps what is familiar around her. But her mother’s health will take a life and death turn, and things will change in a months time. When the rezoning paperwork is given to her to send to the zoning board, she will have a dilemma and then regrets. Can she amend her earlier action and correct everything before she is found out?
The interaction between Hank and Riley goes from one end of the scale to another, at times it is full of angst and others it is comical. Hank being raised in a domestic discipline home, knowing that their father corrected their mother and it always made her sweeter afterward. Now, Hank will find himself correcting Riley at the office and her home. He has also learned it helps her with the excess stress she is coping with due to her mother’s deteriorating health.
“There was nothing more that she needed now than for him to hold her. This strange man, stranger, who employed her, scolded her, fed her, spanked her, made her feel safer than she’d felt in a very long time in this suddenly strange world. She needed to be with him, in a way she’d never felt before.”
Riley has a stubborn streak, and when he tells her to dress nicely for a fancy dinner with his brother and sister-in-law, she doesn’t like him ordering her around and takes things to the extreme. The total embarrassment for him, and for her will come with consequences.
“Surprises are usually good. Bad things are consequences.”
What will happen when the job comes to an end, and that is fast approaching? Riley is considering finding an assisted living home for her mother in Florida so she can go back on the water. But, there are several unexpected surprises and events in the picture. The story has several spanking scenes, but no sex scenes.
ByDonna Lon February 24, 2018 This was a entertaining read if not a little short. The author kept it simple and let the characters tell their stories.Should you feel guilty for doing something wrong for the love of a family member. This is the delemma Riley Miller finds herself in.Riley is an honest person, finding temp work for Hank Miller, the person responsible for trying to buy local farms,is too good to be true.Unfortunately,Riley has a guilty conscience and Hank finds her in the office righting her wrong. His response is not to fire her but to spank her.As their relationship progresses,Riley's temper earns her many sessions with a wooden spoon.Riley had never any intention of staying in her hometown but to return to the job she loves.Family tragedy pulls Riley and Hank closer together, there is never a dull moment.Riley struggled with hanks dominant personality at times but it kept her grounded.I enjoyed this emotional story that brought two people together by fate.
This is a short, sweet story. Riley is determined to keep her mom in her family home as long as possible, even if that means sabotaging her newest employer. Unfortunately she underestimates the persuasive power of her new boss.
This is a very enjoyable story to read. I can understand Riley's desperation as she struggles to care for her aging mother. Hank was a very likeable character, stern, yet very compassionate. They worked very well together. I've really enjoyed this series so far and look forward to the next release.
This is an entertaining and enjoyable story. Well written. With great characters and entralling scenes. I didn't read the first book in this series , but it doesn't matter. It stands alone. I will be reading the next book if it's published. I loved the interaction between Hank and Reilly. He never knew what hit him!! There are some disciplinary spankings but nothing over the top. A sweet love story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and I highly recommend it.
This was a thoroughly entertaining, enjoyable read that was perfect if you only had a short amount of time & wanted a quick read. Hank is the oldest of the Jones brothers, but the 2nd that we've been introduced to (Bastien's already had his story). If you haven't read the previous book, don't worry, this is completely standalone. My only criticism is that I found Riley a little bratty & childish at times, but she was the perfect foil for Hank. Great quick read
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. I really enjoyed this read. A really cute spanking story. When Riley comes home to make sure her moma is ok, she meets her new temporary boss, Henry. Hank is a spanker and takes no time in reddening her bottom - often. There is a lot of emotion in Riley's story and she needs the release Hank can provide. Hand, spoon.
I love those Jones men. Hank is the oldest, and just as likely to employ the family over-the-knee method of correction as his brother. He is also caring and hot. This is an emotional story which makes it so good. I love Riley and reading about her struggles. I only wish it were longer because I enjoyed it so much.
