This is the ultimate book on the cryptkeeper and his tales: the beginning, the birth of comic books, the descent into the crypt, weird stories, suspense stories, send in the ghouls, grim fairy tales, House of Horror, Vault of Horror, Uncanny Tales, all the covers of the comics (!), four complete tales (really good ones), the fans who keep the flame alive, Tales from the English Crypt, the complete reprints, tales resurrected on TV, the crypt compendium, Tales from the Script, all the collectibles (e.g. the pinball machine), a final story... fully colored you'll get the whole picture here. A must read for every crypt fan! Highly recommended!

This is one of my favorite guide books to anything ever. While it primarily focuses on the history of EC Comics itself, it has still a wealth of information about the making of the TV series, its spin off movies and cartoon, and even a few pages of merchandise HBO sold during the show’s production. It’s also got a handy episode guide, breaking down the directors, cast members, and writers. “Tales from the Crypt” is definitely in my Top-10 favorite shows ever, and it just so happens to have an excellent guide book!
