Twins Cash and Crue Matthews are as close as brothers can be. Cash would do anything for Crue, so much so he lived a lie - a huge lie - for over a year. Cash doesn't know who he's angrier with, himself for doing it, or Crue for asking. Either way, Cash feels like crap. Then, Mason Maxwell's sweeter than sin daughter, Katie Cadence, drops into his life and Cash has a new purpose. But...how will she react to his secret, and can he risk losing her by telling the truth?
Katie Cadence's parents have treated her like she'd evaporate in the rain. True, her beginning was so tragic the news media covered it for years. But, damn. She wants to break free and take chances. When she's banished to the Devil's Share compound, she expects more of the same, only to find the Devil's Spawn know how to live, and Katie is all in for spreading her wings. Who's offered to give her the guided tour: Cash Matthews. Falling in love isn't on her list of firsts, but when it hits she has no choice but to go with it.
I live in Austin, Texas with my husband, daughter, 3 rescue dogs, 1 cat, and one bunny (that doesn't seem to like us). I love reading romance novels as much as I love writing them. I feel like inspiration can come from anywhere; a song lyric, a quote, a weekend with friends. The tiniest things can spark amazing stories.
This book is book four in the riff raff records series. Although I love this series, I think that this book is my favourite. From page one of this story I was hooked. I devoured this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. I absolutely adore Katie. I will admit that there were several times I wanted to shout at her to stand up to her parents. I love Cash; I loved how selfless he was. That being said, I wanted him to stop letting Crue use him. I really hated, ok really disliked Crue in this story. I hated how selfish he was. He didn’t care about Cash’s feelings or Katie’s towards the end. All he cared about was Avory and getting his d*ck wet. I loved that Cash was determined to help Katie act like a teenager and rebel. I liked that as he was helping her, the chemistry between them was growing stronger and stronger. What I didn’t expect was to end up crying my eyes out on two separate occasions whilst reading this book. Without giving any spoilers, the tattoo scene and the letter scene got to me. The letter scene full on wrecked me. I was cheering Katie on when she finally made a stand and stood up to her parents and spoke her mind. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
The kids of the Devil’s Share continue to run amok and do their own thing in this latest book in a great series from LP Maxa. Loyalty is Cash and Katie’s story and I couldn’t put it down. Gorgeous, sweet Cash is just the person to help sheltered Katie fulfil her wish of having a normal teenage life (or as normal as it gets when you’re children of rock stars). Away from the stifling world of rules and restrictions imposed by her parents, boy does she get her wish and then some! I loved it! Cash is such a sweetheart, kind, caring and above all loyal, even when his twin makes that very difficult. Their adventures are as much a voyage of discovery for Cash as they are for Katie as she strives to let her wild side free. I loved the way they each began to learn who they really are and not what others want them to be.
A fantastic book, there’s laughter, tears and lots of love. There’s plenty of input and camaraderie from the other Devil’s Share kids too and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I couldn’t help but get a feeling that things are about to change for this group and I’m very excited to read Evie’s story, Sanctuary next.
I am a firm believer that every book must have at least four qualities to make it a great book. It must make you laugh, cry, make you upset that you want to throw the book and lastly not put that book down until the last page is done. With that being said, Loyalty by LP Maxa was an amazing read. I have no words to adequately describe the beautiful though imperfect relationship between Cash and Katie. They are both independent well-balanced characters who know they have flaws and own up to their shortcomings. So a little about this book Katie is a sheltered young lady who just wants to be like every other normal person. By fate, she meets Cash, who helps her attain that. Cash, on the other hand, has family issues of his own due to the secrets he has been keeping for his twin. What I love about this book is you get to hear about other characters that are in this series as the story unfolds. Loyalty is a five-star read that will blow your mind and your heart.
I finished this book in one day. I literally couldn’t put it down. And though I’ve been with these characters from the very first Devil’s Share stories, the kids lives are always just a tad crazier.
I love watching these spawn get into trouble...and fall I love, and move on from the compound.
This story is just another beautifully written one! Cash has been one of my favorites from the beginning. His story of swapping places with his brother super intriguing. But the webs we weave, will all come untangled at some point.
Katie, Ug, it took me a moment to realize who Katie was. As it had been a while since I read Royalty. But seeing her story play out was absolutely breath taking. I cried. I so cried. Because her character is just so deep and thoughtful and the end. Ug, so many tears.
Another beautifully written 5-Star read. I recommend to read Loyalty in order with the rest of Devil’s Spawn. And truly recommend you read the Devil’s share first, but it’s not necessary.
This was a great coming of age story for Katie and Cash. While Cash has had way more freedom than Katie. He's experienced so much more. He still had his fair share of growing up to do. And you can tell that neither of them could have done it without the other. He was the perfect one to help her experience all the things she missed out on being sheltered her whole life. And she was what he needed to wake up and realize that he and his brother both needed to grow up and stop playing games. That they needed to start being honest with their parents rather than trying to hide everything. The Devil's Spawn have had to deal with a lot of grown up situations and as we read it's easy to forget that at the heart of it all most of them are 18 or younger. This book was amazing. The perfect story for Cash and Katie. I love the Devil's Share family so much. I can't wait for the next book.
I was lucky to be given an ARC for an honest review of this book. To say I’m obsessed with this series is an understatement. This is book 4 of the RiffRaff series and might possibly be my favourite so far. I loved Cash & Katie’s love story and how they both got to become their true selves together. Their love is so simple and easy, no lying. I love how they both stepped up and got a backbone and stopped letting others rule their lives, they broke free. The tattoo and letter scenes made my throat thicken and my eyes glaze, so much emotion. I also love how you get a sneaky peak at the other characters relationships as well, so you still know what going on, to an extent, with the other Devil’s Spawn while focusing on the main characters. I devoured this book in one day and honestly can’t wait to read what’s next.
Even though I enjoyed this book I was sad for what Cruz put Cash through. For me he and Avory were totally selfish and thought of no one but themselves. I really loved the moment when Katie gets her tattoo and finds out the story of her father. I am being irrational but it is irritating the hell out of me that these kids are living their life as adults and their parents are right there and are oblivious as to what is going on. They are having sex any and everywhere and the "rents" are clueless. Do they not care what's going on or just so stupidly involved in their own lives that they think their precious kids do no wrong? After what Beau/Halen, Landry/Brody situations do they not question anything or look closer to what might be going on right under their noses???? This book should have been more than a 3 star but I can't get passed how these kids are being raised.
I loved this book. I loved the Devil’s Share books and the Riff Raff books are a great continuation.
I was a bit surprised to find Katie, from Royalty, in this book, but it was a great surprise. She’s a great character and so is Cash. He may even rival Brody for greatest Riff Raff guy.
I loved the storyline here, even if Crüe and Avory made me want to throttle them. I’m also surprised by the parents as well as the fact the next book is Evie, someone we’ve heard very little about. But we’re getting more of the Devil’s Share and that’s a good thing.
A great addition, well worth it but it is part of a series and needs to be read as such.
This is the fourth book in the series, but can be read as a standalone. When Cash met Katie, he knew she was going to be someone special. Katie lived a sheltered life and wanted to rebel. Cash helped Katie with her never have I ever list and they fell in love. I loved catching up with everyone from previous books. This is a must read, get your copy today
I love the books about the kids, they are so good. Makes me want to reread about there parents again. Cash is such a sweetheart I’m so glad he stood up to Crue and fell in love with Katie they make such a cute couple. Can not wait to read more. Could not put this book down.
L.P. Maxa has created an amazing world with the Devil's Share and their spawn. Cash and Katie's story made me smile, laugh, sigh, and cry. They come alive in the pages and pull you in deep. I loved this book and the world she's created. Thank you for another amazing book. I can't wait for the next one!
OMG… This book was absolutely amazing.Cash and Katie had me laughing and crying so hard I needed a box of tissue. I love the way the whole family is brought into the story and help each of the kids has their own identity. Love Katie’s talk with her dad at the end of the book and how heartwarming it was. I can’t wait for more of this family and all of these true characters
I forgot to have tissues while reading. Was the only time I put the book down was to go get some. Life is never boring for the Devil’sShare. The 4th book in the series has sheltered Katie and outgoing Cash not only finding true love. Finding that being true with oneself amazing things can happen.
The stories keep getting better. I'm in AW right now of how these kids kept there crap together. How they had each other's back through thick and thin! Cash and Katie are awesome can't wait to see the rest.
Loyalty is the story of Cash and Katie. Cash has been living a lie a huge one for his brother Crue and he is mad at himself and Crue. Katie you might remember her from the first book Royalty that’s right she all grown up and he father kicked her off tour with him. Mason banish her to the Devil’s Share compound. He thinks she will be watched carefully needless does he know, she is going to spread her wings and fly. Katie catches Cash’s eye, she wasn’t planning on falling, but when she finds out about Cash’s secret will it destroy them.
First Cash I have loved him since the book Legacy and feel really bad for him. He loves his brother hard, how can he not they are twins. The secret though is destroying him, and Crue his brother needs a slap on the back of his head. Katie poor girl her life started from a tragic beginning and has followed her throughout her life. Mason shelters her so much and you feel for her. I enjoyed going through her journey of having fun and getting to be free. You know it you get to see all the cousins and the parents. If you want a story about real young true love this one is for you!
L.P. Maxa has done it again with Loyalty!! Absolutely loved it!!! Cash is loyal to a fault to his twin Crue, to his whole family really. But he's not happy. Enter Katie, a very sheltered and innocent 18 year old......the complete opposite if Cash. They click instantly. There is just so much to their story. It's not just a love story. It's a story of learning who you are and who you want to be. This book is packed full of emotions, sweet with a bit of steam romance and be prepared to shed some tears. I can't wait for the next book in this series!!!
Well let me start off by saying... I didn't expect to cry while reading this book. I knew the hero but the heroine caught me off guard until I started reading. What a wonderful pairing by L.P. Maxa. Cash needed Katie and vice a versa. A story that I wanted to be revisited combined with a character I have come to enjoy. Love, sacrifice, protection, and loss. This was one powerful message from a teenage POV.
The laughs, the first, the tears, the living. All things one should experience but in both their cases, it was what was taken away in two different ways. Be prepared to be an emotional mess at times but understand the depths in which Cash message from beginning to end held. No lies, No hiding, Be Bold, Rebel with a Purpose... #JustLive.....
I sincerely loved this book so much! Loyalty is book 4 in the RiffRaff Records series. This is Cash Matthews and Katie Cadence's story.
It started when I fell head over heels for the Devil's Share men and now their kids, the Devil's Spawn, are all grown up and I'm loving seeing the parents and kids not only interact, but lean from each other.
I was a lot mad at the parents yet again in this book. They seem absolutely oblivious to what is going on with their kids. I think that will change. These are not dumb parents, I think they just trust like they love. Fast and hard.
This was a sweet love story. One of self discovery and firsts. Cash was so freaking sweet it gave me a tooth ache and Katie was so ooen and I loved seeing her grow into herself and soar.
I am peeved at Crue and Avery for their complete disregaurd for anyone else's feeling but their own. And with the way this book ended, I can't wait to read their book.
Hey book whores, if you want to follow me, you can find me here
I adored this series when it was their parents. cash and Katie's story was adorable. she is innocent and sheltered but she is smart and funny, sassy. she wasn't a weak character. Cash was smart, sweet, good hearted. they complimented each other very well. there were a few lol moments especially with Katie. create easy read. no drama between the main characters, the drama is his relationship with his brother and hers with her family.
