Bought this randomly on a layover in Iceland (the English version, which is titled "Birds" and is not on Goodreads for some reason) and this is exactly the kind of book I wish I could make, oh my god I loved it so much.
It is a short little guide to the birds of Iceland, but with funny illustrations and comics! Not only are there scientific facts about each of the bird species that live in Iceland, but there are interesting little bits of lore and stories about some of them and their place in Icelandic culture/history. And the ART, my god. Gorgeous nature art but often really funny too and making some jokes about the birds' behavior or looks. Truly a wonderful little bird guide about a unique place.

Humorous but also informative book about Iceland’s native birds. Fantastic artwork that combines informative depictions of each species with cartoonish humor and imagery.
Perfect reading material for the return flight from Iceland. Made me eager to plan a return trip during summertime to see more of these unique species.
