Elizabeth has always dreamed of opening her own legal aid clinic, but her work as a criminal defense attorney made it impossible. Moving to Montana was supposed to be the beginning of her new life, but when a ruthless criminal follows her, no one is safe.
Blake has everything he’s ever wanted—except Elizabeth Sullivan. Unlike the other women he's dated, she isn't impressed with his billion-dollar business, fast cars, or penthouse apartments. She expects more from him than he’s prepared to give and that scares him more than losing everything.
Discover the magic of Montana in ONE AND ONLY, the fourth book in the Emerald Lake series. This book can easily be read as a stand-alone.
Leeanna Morgan is a USA Today bestselling author. She lives in New Zealand surrounded by green hills on one side and the ocean on the other. She enjoys going for long walks, especially if she can convince her husband and two children to go with her!
Leeanna writes contemporary romances set in Montana. Her books contain all of the things that are important to her; good friends, family, a strong sense of community, and a happy ending.
A few years ago, I went through a Leeanna Morgan phase, and plowed through her Brides' Maids Club series and Montana Brides series, and then dug right into Emerald Lake Billionaires. The first book of that series, I enjoyed. The second book was kind of lame. And The third book was just OK. After two strikes, I didn't feel up to buying any more of her books for a while. The Montana Brides books had some sizzle in them, but in Brides' Maids club and Emerald Lake Billionaires, The romance part of the stories got more and more bland. However, I did feel attached to the characters and their small town Montana life. I looked up Leeanna Morgan on Apple Books, recently, and realized that I kind of missed them. So I bought this book for old times sake, and very much enjoyed it. Elizabeth was a little too stubborn and proud of her independence to the point where I wanted to kick her sometimes. Other than that, this book was a sweet, wholesome Romance that gave me the warm and fuzzies. A perfect read for the holiday season. And I'm a real sap for happily ever after endings.
What a romance! I have loved all of this author's books, but this is a favorite! Blake & Elizabeth are made for each other, and through many trials, they find their way to happiness. I have been intrigued with both characters since their introduction, and was so glad to join them in this journey. Elizabeth has cheated death once before, health-wise, but now she might be staring it in the face in a criminal from her past as a defense lawyer. Blake is worried about her, so decided to give up his busy life in NYC to come live in Bozeman and moved most of his work there. Through Elizabeth's close calls, and the possibility that her dream is finished before it starts in her family aid clinic, they come to realize just how much they mean to each other! And I LOVED the last page of the book: "12 months later"!! It was adorable and so touching. I can't wait to read more from this incredibly talented author (I've already got her next book pre-ordered!)
Elizabeth survived breast cancer with the support of her family and good friend Blake (who she is secretly in love with. She quits her job as defense attorney to move to Montana to be close to her brother and open a legal aid clinic . Blake ends up there also and a lot of bad things happen to discourage her but her brother and Blake and the town pull together and make it happen. Blake finally admits his feelings for Elizabeth and they end up married. Look forward to more.
Blake and Elizabeth’s story. A lovely story with a nice ending. But, a few errors, which I was surprised to find, like a wrong word- wondered instead of wandered. I guess this author didn’t have editing in her earlier books? And, having had breast cancer, I was surprised at the description of Elizabeth’s “pain” needing morphine from her radiation. Sounds a bit on the ridiculous side, not only as a nurse, but as a breast cancer survivor. Also, I know many ladies who also had breast cancer and none had pain as bad as this author writes. Wonder what is up with that.
Read each book ,enjoyed each one.Just wish each book was a little longer in details loved Tess's story with Logan, and what the ladies did with all the bridesmaids dresses.
I enjoyed this series as much as any I've read! The storylines were all fresh and interesting. The endings couldn't have been better, especially for this book!
